How to Run Your Own Food Truck Business | Eater

"Started at age 22 after the founder’s homemade mac and cheese proved popular, this mac and cheese truck gained traction by being a unique offering at festivals where long lines and high demand set it apart from more common fare. Success on the road led to a small storefront supported by loyal regulars, but the business remains focused on keeping the menu simple, staying true to its mac-and-cheese core, and maintaining owner presence to handle issues firsthand. Future plans emphasize cautious, small-scale growth—expanding into wholesale/retail cheese sauce and concession opportunities—while acknowledging the intense, seven-day-a-week work ethic required to build and sustain the brand." - Annie Burdick

I went in last night and I was really impressed! I don't remember the guys name but he was so nice! I'm in the area for a few days and needed to get out and do something and I ended up at Mac Mart. The food was fantastic. I definitely recommend I think it was the chicken bacon ranch macaroni and cheese bowl. On top of the food being great I had a great conversation with the guy there. I dined in and got to charge my phone and chat with him the whole time. Turns out we grew up in the same area and I still currently live there so we were catching up on what used to be there and what's still there and what not. Anyways he was awesome and the food was awesome and I'm going to try and make it back over there! 10/10 across the board. Thank you for having awesome reasonably priced food and for being a friendly face and for letting me hang out and chat and charge my phone. See you next time!

Google
If you're looking for a nice bite of Mac and cheese with a variety of toppings, look no further. Mac Mart has numerous options and even a flight option where you can pick 6 of their different types of Mac and cheese for less than $30. I went with a group of my friends and wife and we all decided on differing options. I got greedy and ordered both the crabby Mac and the heart attack. The heart attack was very delicious. The caramel onions gave it such a wonderful taste. My one friend ordered the flight and was able to try 6 different flavors. While the portions aren't massive in the flight they are enough to satisfy your hunger. None of us could finish our orders but now we have something to finish at home. Definitely worth trying at least once. I definitely will be going back to try more options.

Google
I’m not gonna lie but this is so good and it’s a really great set of options on the menu. The weather was perfect and the two of us plus our dog had a great time sitting outside with the bustle of city life around us. The staff were very friendly, the service was really quick and the food was amazing. The ‘wit’ Mac was full of caramelized onions with just the right amount of ketchup and the potato chip panko crunch gave it a nice crispy crunchy flavor that was a perfect complement and contrast to the mac n cheese- cooked just right. My companion had the in the buff which I of course tried. The zesty buffalo sauce gave it a mouthwatering tingle and Pam Pam’s buttermilk ranch balanced it out perfectly and again the mac n cheese was just the right tenderness and cheesiness to make my mouth water as I am typing this! We will definitely be back soon and I I will eventually order the macarollis that looks so good in the picture! Thank you Mac Mart for being part of the great community of people who have established their business in Philadelphia - a great city for all kinds of foodies!

Google
Cheesy, gooey, perfect Mac and cheese. We really enjoyed Mac mart. The Buffalo Mac was spicy and a great balance with the richness of the creamy sauce. While there was only 1 employee working he worked hard to get us our food quickly. Highly recommend!

Google
This is probably one of my favorite take-out spots. I’ve seen it all over my feed, and I ended up coming with a girlfriend before a show. They only serve mac and cheese, with a variety of toppings you can either choose yourself, or pick one of their predetermined bowls. I had the heart attack mac, which was their mac topped with caramelized onions, crispy bacon, and panko crunch. It was rich, and I was able to finish half of it for dinner. The take away containers are rather nice for reheating the next day. You can truly judge a mac by how well it can reheat, and this did not disappoint. It was just as good the following morning as it was the night before. I will definitely be coming back.

Google
A must try! We stopped in randomly for lunch, service was super fast and the person behind the counter was super nice. The Mac was very thick and creamy, super cheesy. They had a good variety of toppings and styles of Mac, their Spinach and Artichoke dip is on point. I have had too much Mac and cheese in my life, and will have to come back here to have more. I will say it wasn't the best Mac I've ever had, but I'd love to try the jalapeno one next time since I prefer Spicy. My only other critique was that the black pepper was a little too much, but I understand most people would probably enjoy that. Also, super cute ambience and they have adorable yellow outdoor seating. Minimal indoor seating, but enough to have an early lunch inside.

Google
Incredible. My husband and I ate here before attending a show at Marian Anderson Hall. Best Mac and cheese we’ve ever had. We will be back! Owner is super nice and down to earth too. Thanks Mac Mart!!

Google
I stopped here because it popped up on Google while researching restaurants in the area, shortly there after I saw a TikTok of the place. It was absolutely everything I had hoped it would be. The guy behind the counter was very forthcoming and how filling the food was, as I wanted to try the six pack sampler, but he recommended that it was better to share between two people as it did become a large amount of food. He offered as an alternative to the six variety flavors, a half-and-half package, which ended up being perfect for one person. I hope the idea catches on would love to have one of these places in Denver.

Yelp
You'd really think this would be a Philly staple but AFAIK I've never heard any hoopla about Mac Mart. I'd passed it so many times that I decided I needed to try it. I'd certainly have tried a few more things on the menu and didn't give it a fair shake all of this time. It seems like the owner himself may have been working and he was friendly -- felt nice to support a small business in the hustle of such a hectic part of the city. One entree was more than enough for two to share!

Yelp
Got the jalapeno popper Mac and cheese and it had the strongest flavor of processed cheese which was definitely not the most appetizing. Every single Mac and cheese is made with the same base and then topped with different add ons to change up the flavor profile but I gotta say there was definitely next to no jalapeño flavors coming through. They churn out the food fast though so if you're in a hurry this is the spot to come to because I ordered, turned my back for ten seconds and then my food was ready. The man who gave me my order was helpful in telling me that the container it was in was microwaveable. Unfortunately the Mac and cheese reheated was pretty bad, probably because the crumbs atop got soggy and mixed into the Mac made it all super lumpy. Was definitely disappointed because I loved the sound of alot of the menu items for all their creativity but the execution was lacking.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered this food through delivery to work and it came pretty quick and still warm with a hefty serving, but the quality of the food was with mixed results. The jalapeno popper mac and cheese didn't taste great, it wasn't bad per say, I did finish it because I paid for it, but it tasted off and the texture was mushy. The buffalo mac and cheese reheated well the next day and tasted better. The mac itself still had a sort of sticky-mushy texture to it, but the buffalo sauce was good and the chicken was fine as well.

Yelp
This has been a favorite of mine for years now! I try and stop here a lot when I am in the city and it is good every single time! The have so many fun Mac options but the Truffle Shuffle is by far my favorite! The space is small but really fun! Your food is ready pretty quickly. I usually get mine to go but they also have a small counter to eat at! Make sure to stop here next time you are in the mood for Mac & Cheese, you will not regret it! I have not tried it but I saw yesterday that you can order trays for the holidays, which is such a fun idea for something to bring to a party or if you are hosting!

Yelp
Mac Mart, nestled in Philadelphia's Rittenhouse neighborhood, is a must-visit for mac-and-cheese lovers. The service was quick yet informative and friendly. the interior of the place is quirky and colorful, and the menu was surprisingly creative and customizable menu. Their signature seven-cheese mac serves as the perfect base, topped with everything from BBQ brisket to buffalo chicken or crunchy potato chip panko. The space itself is small but cozy, so we left to eat in Rittenhouse square park. the interior does has nice seating though for a casual dine in.
google avatar

Aram K.

Yelp
We were randomly walking around in the rittenhouse district and saw a sign for a Mac and cheese restaurant. I was immediately captivated by the concept because Mac and cheese is one of my favorite comfort foods! We had the jalapeño popper and crab Mac and cheese, both were great, we loved the jalapeño popper more. The Mac and cheese was creamy how we like it, I felt like it was missing something to boost it from being good to great. But I would definitely come back so it's worthy of a solid 4 stars!

Yelp
Always love coming to Mac Mart and supporting local women-owned small businesses! My go-to is the "BBQ in a Bowl" with potato chip topping instead of cornbread flakes. So easy to get food and sit outside or take the short walk to the park. Truly a staple of Philadelphia. Thanks always, Mac Mart!

Yelp
I really hate to leave a negative review on a small, local business, but I just don't think the food tastes good. Everything else is great - packaging, service, ambiance - but the cheese/roux has a very artificial, "goopy" quality to it. Unfortunately, I would not recommend.
google avatar

Lara G.

Yelp
This was a great quick lunch that fed my soul. Really loved the ability to make my own mac n cheese flight. And perfect to share. The staff was also so friendly, and told us all about their wedding catering options -- a great late night food option...
google avatar

Yelp
The flight packaging is terrible and has been for months. The sad part is the owner knows and says it but hasn't attempted to fix it. She sits on social media attacking those who tell them privately they need to change it. Instead of spending time trying different packaging. The packaging doesn't label clearly what one is what, is in foil so not microwave safe. A lot of product sticks to the cupcake foil. The product is good but the owners attitude is terrible and efforts to fix issues are non existent while she tries to trash people on social media. I told her privately about the problem, she spends extensive time on social media but not respecting her customers or fixing problems! Lazy and arrogant! Lost a loyal customer! One that gave them an excellent review viewed by hundreds.

Yelp
Mac Mart. Such a weird name, but a place that doesn't disappoint. I found this place while scrolling on tik-tok and decided to try it. This place is pretty solid for a business that makes macaroni and cheese and sells it with various toppings. I got the "Wit-Mac" that consisted of steak and caramelized onions, and the flavors were poppin' all over. With a squeeze of Mike's hot honey, I had a combo of sweetness, cheesy pasta, and seasoned steak & onions. While I'm sure I didn't get the most popular thing here, it did the trick. I have to say, though, if you aren't big into heavy food, this isn't the place for you. A few bites may be all that you can take. ... I think I'll be back

Yelp
Really good, a fun try on an outing. Cowgirl was flavorful but maybe too much bbq sauce. Crabby mac is very strong for those who don't like seafood. Love the bread crumbs. Came out really quick kinda like fast food service. They have build your own mac but we did not try that. But with all that said, we wouldn't come back anytime soon. Maybe for another few months/years. It's not bad at all just not something typically craved. Staff was really nice and gave us containers/bowls that are "dishwasher and microwave safe". Which was great because we took some home anyways and the jalapeño oil and cheese didn't leak.
google avatar

Roma B.

Yelp
A must visit!! There's so many options to choose from. Can get a regular bowl and choose 2 different types of mac. Got the jalapeño and crab mac and cheese. Very filling! Loved the jalapeño, had a nice kick and crunch on top.

Mia N.

Yelp
Incredibly overpriced but still think it's delicious. Wish that the packaging was a little bit bigger. It's weird that it's almost impossible to stir literally anything when the whole point is that it's supposed to have so many mix in toppings.
google avatar

Vanessa W.

Yelp
Seafood Mac, chicken, bacon ranch mac and barbecue Mac. I was amazed at the taste and texture of the food. Simply delicious.

Yelp
i absolutely love the mac and cheese sandwich! the service is always great! a philly staple in my eyes

Yelp
food was amazing. was in the area and has been trying to taste this place for almost 5 years now. glad I finally did.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been here a few times and always hope for the best. Mac & cheese is definitely one of my favorite foods. Mac Mart is a cool spot to grab & go if you need a cheesy noodle fix. I tried the crabby mac with bacon. I appreciate the concept of Mac Mart but the taste is just meh. The employee there was nice.

Yelp

google avatar

Yelp
They say money can't buy happiness, but it can buy Mac Mart and so that's pretty much the same thing in my book. Truly the best mac & cheese with unlimited combinations. The new flights they're selling let you try a scoop of six different flavors. Complete bliss. These two women founders are queens. Love love love this place. Also, vegan options if you're so inclined. I like to take home a container of the cheese. GO get it.
google avatar

Taylor K.

Yelp
The mac was honestly pretty average. We felt kind of cat fished by their instagram. The menu in person didn't have as much to choose from.
google avatar

Maggie Z.

Yelp
So many different mac flavors and combo! I honestly didn't think we could eat it all but so cheesy and so good!
google avatar

Ethan T.

Yelp
I've heard many great things about this place from instagram to word of mouth. When I finally visited this establishment it did not disappoint. I got the Wit Macaroni and it was the perfect blend of creamy, salty, sweet, and cheesy carb goodness. It was on the pricier side for macaroni and cheese but i guess that's attributed to being located in the heart of center city. If you love macaroni and cheese then you'll love this place l.

Kiara T.

Yelp
I got the bbq bowl and the chicken was dry as wood shavings and the bbq sauce tasted funky. I do like the regular Mac n cheese though
google avatar

Wiley K.

Yelp
Mac Mart has ruined any other mac & cheese for me because it's so delicious! I was initially reluctant to try Mac Mart because mac & cheese is not the dish that comes to my mind for a meal in the city. I was lucky enough to catch the Lobster Mac while in stock, but the Mac I really return for is the Heart Attack. Wow! Topped with panko bread crumbs, caramelized onions, and crispy bacon (and BBQ sauce as suggested by the staff), this flavor bomb pleasured my taste buds. I recommend trying Mac Mart because they have a huge toppings selection and even the plain Mac is delicious. I'm planning to bring Mac Mart's mac & cheese to my next holiday meal.

Yelp
This is absolutely one of my favorite places ever. I used to frequently them back when they were a food truck. Now Marti opened up a Mac and cheese shop in rittenhouse. It's not big, seats maybe 5 ppl, facing the window so you can people watch while you eat. But it's clean inside and they usually have music playing. The staff is nice and extremely professional. I love how fast they respond. But the Mac and cheese is off the hook!!!! It's not traditional, which makes it more fun and a bit different. I've been getting crabby Mac for about 4/5 years and I recently tried the build your own w/ ranch drizzle and OMG, it's worth a try. The pricing isn't expensive (to me). They range from 8+. The most expensive is the lobster Mac with garlic herb compound butter which is 13+ and comes in a smaller container. BUT they do give a great portion of lobster so it evens out. Additionally, their green containers are reusable, dishwasher and microwave safe. COVID restrictions: -you can't sit inside so they have a table set up outside which blocks the door. -call or text +1 (215) 444-6144 to place your order and they will have it ready when you get there. -orders can also be placed online. -if you walk up and order it literally takes less than 2 minutes for them to take your order, make it & charge you (time it lol). -the ladies have been making suburb and NJ contactless delivery to their customers. You pay using venmo, they post their schedule on Instagram @macmart -they've also been delivering meals to our heroes in scrubs
google avatar

Anna S.

Yelp
I got the surf and turf - it was nicely packed with the sprinkle packed in a separate container so it won't get soggy. I don't think there was anything special about the cheese they use for their mac and cheese. If you don't finish it the day of, it does not taste good the next day.
google avatar

Gracie C.

Yelp
Got pickup about an hour before close on a Friday night. Quality was mediocre. Heads up that the door was locked and they appeared closed when we got there. The man working was really nice when we came to the door though!

Stefan V.

Yelp
We had a great experience at this tiny place that's great for a quick snack or take out (Mac n cheese of multiple varieties). The owner was very accommodating. We didn't know that for gluten free pasta one would need to request it with about an hour notice for them to be prepared. However the owner went ahead and made us the gf version while it was busy. Our kids were thrilled. Truly appreciate her flexibility and care. And above all it was tasty!
google avatar

Yelp
I have walked past Mac Mart quite a few times and have always been meaning to try it well tonight was the night! I studied the menu pretty intensely and was going to go with the Cowboy (Classic Mac infused with jalapeño oil, crispy bacon, cornbread crunch & Pam Pam's buttermilk ranch) I could not pull the trigger on it as every ingredient would make me feel guilty eating such a meal. I went with the Crabby Mac and added the Basil Pesto Chicken. I mean its what you expect a gluttanous meal that comes out quick like an order at WaWa. It does the trick but wasn't magical in my opinion. The owner started this business with a food truck and hats off to him as he has a pretty dam good menu online where you can even order party trays of Mac N' Cheese for as much as $140 for a large tray (they serve 20-30 people). I can't come back here as its just too unhealthy. That being said look at there sandwich called "Return of The Mac", Mac N' Cheese on buttered Texas Toast! If I could turn back time I would go with that monster of a sandwich as that would fill anyone and it is the ultimate comfort food am I wrong....mouth drooling. So as I pass this restaurant establishment in the future I respect the business entrepreneur but I do not see myself returning unless I get insanely drunk and want to soak up the liquor with "Return of The Mac".

Yelp
While the service was speedy, and the decor is trendy, the truth is, the mac & cheese isn't all of that. Right off the bat I went for the BBQ in a Bowl. To describe the dish I had, it was served hot & creamy, the topping was crisp (as described) and the chicken and BBQ sauce seemed perfect. Unfortunately there isn't a place to compare it to other than my homemade counterparts so please take this review with a grain of salt. I was expecting the mac and cheese to be more flavorful and it wasn't. My bad I guess. I know what to expect next time and am going to evaluate my next dish with a different mindset. I would give my first visit to this mac & cheese mecca a 2.5 because of the following: while I thought the taste was "Meh", the service was great (speedy and friendly), the menu options are very creative (and look delicious), and the price is right! The truth is, I HAVEN'T EXPERIENCED BETTER IN A RESTAURANT. I would recommend this place to myself to try again. Stay tuned for the next visit and review. *Attn: Managment* Sorry if this is disappointing. Just my initial opinion.

Yelp
tl;dr the brick-and-mortar location of a popular food truck, pumping out a sophisticated take on a childhood classic Mac & Cheese: an American staple that even the pickiest of children grew up loving. It's the dish that you crave out of nowhere, and that can immediately transport you back to your childhood. And Mac Mart capitalizes on the nostalgia, serving up the adult version of this family favorite, operating under the slogan "Not Your Mama's Mac." So it's no surprise that the original food truck was popular enough to launch a physical location. The pink neon sign and bright interior beckon you in, and the aromas of cheese and bacon keep you hooked once inside. A sleek white bar with clear, plastic stools lies along the front window, while a few banana-yellow tables and chairs are situated outside. A digital menu on the left wall displays all of the mac and cheese options that your heart could desire. The friendly staff members make affable small-talk while helping to answer any questions. Choose to eat-in or carry-out in one of Mac Mart's handy, microwave-safe Tupperware. In a matter of seconds, the employee behind the bar will scoop you a hearty serving of mac and cheese (I weighed it, and it's nearly a pound!), and you'll be on your way. In the past, I have enjoyed the Heart Attack Mac and the In the Buff. Both the bacon and the buffalo chicken provide a robust flavor to complement the mac and cheese base. The cheese itself is gooier and more intricate-tasting than Kraft packets. Moreover, the panko provides an interesting texture and a blast of salt to contrast the soft macaroni. My only critique is that I wish the macaroni had some crunchy edge-bits or a charred top, but, alas, it's produced in large batches. This last visit, I decided to try take-out, and I ordered the Crabby Mac. By the time I returned home, the ensemble, unfortunately, had become lukewarm, and the panko had lost its characteristic crunch. Although the first bites were exciting, channeling the robust flavors of crab and Old Bay along with the mac and cheese that I have grown to love, as time wore on the dish began to lose its zing. Definitely opt to sit in and eat it fresh if you can, because otherwise, your meal won't live up to the hype.

Yelp
One of my favorite Philly gems. I always love to stop by for a quick lunch, and eat in the park nearby. I've also ordered the Mac mart tray for catering before, and I think it was around $70-80 and it was very well liked at the party. Would recommend for lunch or if you need a tray of Mac to bring to a party.
google avatar

Nikita J.

Yelp
This is some rich, cheesy, decadent Mac! Service is top notch -- friendly, fast, and accommodating. I got The jalapeño Mac and it was just perfect with the heat from the jalapeño tempered by the cheese (but not drowned out by it) and the crunch from chip topping was great for contrasting texture. Hubby enjoyed his cheesesteak next door at Cleavers but I really loved being able to hop in here for something more veg-friendly. Now if I could get one in DC, I'd be set. Overweight for sure, but happy!
google avatar

Arwin C.

Yelp
This is my first time in Philly, and first I've ever heard of a food joint that specializes in macaroni. I ordered the In the Buff bowl, and it was delicious! There are plenty of options to choose from, and I think I'll go back tomorrow since I'm only in town to visit. The service was quick, and the food was hot. It's a small place with a couple of tables inside and two small tables outside. I sat outside and enjoyed the people watching. I recommend you stop by if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yvonne L.

Yelp
Delicious macaroni and cheese!! We had a tough time choosing but landed on the "In the Buff" with tangy Buffalo chicken and the "Crabby mac". So rich and creamy!!
google avatar

Sara B.

Yelp
Magic Mac! I have been waiting to try Mac Mart since it popped up on my Instagram feed and I happened to be in the area this week. My friends and I tried the Rittenhouse and the buff Mac. We felt the buff mac was just a little better (how can you go wrong with hot sauce and chicken?) but both were delicious. The base cheese sauce was rich and thick. We ate when we got home so we were a little delayed and I don't think the mac was at 100% heated up but the sauce didn't separate which was great. I would absolutely try more from here!
google avatar

Morganne M.

Yelp
firstly, in the storefront THEY HAVE ADORABLE LIGHTS SHAPED LIKE NOODLES. found this place on instagram before I moved to philly, and stopped in finally one day a few weeks after getting initially situated in the city. I have a lot of dietary restructions, and when I'm feeling up to anything solid cheese is #1 on my list... so the macmart is amazing to me. their noodles also don't hurt my tummy like a lot of pasta does. so far the bacon buddy and the full rittenhouse are my fav.
google avatar

Jesse S.

Yelp
It was fine. Reasonable price. Very quick. Very friendly service. I just didn't think the mac and cheese was all that spectacular. It was a little dense and a little bland. They throw panko on top, but that doesn't really match a good crust from the oven.
google avatar

Laura S.

Yelp
I was a little skeptical about if different Mac n cheeses were actually going to be something worth trying, but good GOD was this delicious and interesting. We got three to try... the cowboy cup (def the best with bacon and jalapeño oil), the truffle honey one (second best) and the rittenhouse (with spinach artichoke - also good). They all tasted so different and unique. I will say, they are INCREDIBLY rich. I'm pregnant right now and couldn't even finish half of one. Luckily we got a salad from someone else that was a perfect pairing. All three were $36 total and it was a huge amount of food. I think at least 6 meals. I'd imagine it would be perfect drunk food haha. I will definitely be back to try more because they have about 30 options. The guy working there was helpful and gave good instructions about heating it up at home. 5 star place for sure. Not really dine in place tho - better for take away.

Yelp
Mac Mart is another one of those places that I first tried in food truck form (https://www.yelp.com/biz/mac-mart-food-truck-philadelphia), and was thrilled for when it got a well deserved brick and mortar location in Rittenhouse Square. As an long admitted slacker it took me far longer to go then I intended, but when I did it led to a lunch that was perfect for grabbing on the go and eating in the park. For better or worse there are some of those who might compare grabbing a huge dish of mac & cheese for lunch to getting a tattoo. And those people might compare getting a dish of Heart Attack Mac & Cheese with bacon, caramelized onions, and potato panko crunch for lunch to getting No Ragrets emblazoned upon your neck (https://media1.tenor.com/images/033dafc252262f1142e74f14c54a7257/tenor.gif?itemid=5447006)! But there was something about that crispy bacon and panko crunch alongside gooey cheese that made itabsolutely delicious. And the portion was also big enough to last through dinner! The not as adventurous eater will enjoy the classic mac just fine. But the even more adventurous might find solace in loading theirs with Philly cheesesteak toppings, jumbo lump crab, Margherita pizza toppings, basil chicken, and then some! And if you pay with your card through Square they might even just hook you up with some future discounts in the process ;)

Yelp
Mac and cheese with some toppings...the mac and cheese itself is bland and tasteless.....While the toppings had flavor...it was difficult to mix together as the little plastic container it is served in had no room to stir it up. I got the crabby mac and my friend got the "wit" mac...we both agreed that the toppings had nice flavor....but with the mac it was just eh. They have several other regular items in their menu but you can also create your own. It wasn't as good as I thought it would be as mac and cheese is delicious most of the times, it just didnt hit the spot this time...but it was packed and others seemed to enjoy it. So give it a try, you may like it more than I did....or you may agree with me.

Yelp
The mac and cheese here was AMAZING, you could ask for many different kinds, or you could build your own, you can add things like bread crumbs and tomatoes, but that's just the start!! The decorations are so pretty!! I love the pink and the mac and cheese art! It is so fun to sit at the tables and look out at the other stores and the people walking by. The food is delicious and the whole place is phenomenal!

Yelp
I cannot begin to express how great Mac Mart is. It is not your ordinary small eatery in a major city. This is a place that just makes any bad day you have a lot better. This is a crazy world we are in. I write this just 3 days after Election Day and the political unrest is right here in Philadelphia. But that did not stop me from ordering a Mac n'Cheesesteak today. Mac Mart's comfort food just soothes the soul. For my previous visit, Mac Mart advertised the Mac n'Chizza on their social media platforms. I ordered one. Worth the hell to find a street parking spot within a 2-mile radius. Now be sure you know this. The owner is beyond wonderful. You reach out to her through the social media platforms, she is more than accommodating to what you ask for. She makes you feel like you are truly an important and valued customer. And if you say that you plan to stop by at a certain time for a pick up order, she and her staff will make it happen to deliver great mac n' cheese when you arrive. There is no doubt I highly recommend this small business that has gained popularity in the Philadelphia area. A good reason why that is the case. Five stars is exactly what Mac Mart deserves.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place while wondering Philly. Who wouldn't want to build ur own Mac and cheese!!! The employee working was so kind and welcoming. The atmosphere is tetra and modern I love it! The prices are very reasonable .I decked out a macand cheese with Buffalo chicken fried onion and hot honey drizzle. My mouth is watering this is so good! Overall 10/10 experience I will be coming again on my next Philly visit!

Yelp
This would have been the place of my dreams as a kid. This place carries Mac and cheese and only Mac and cheese but not your mom's Kraft Mac and cheese. Flavors and combinations abound so if you're in Philly for a few days and are a real fan of Mac and cheese then you need to plan out your mealtimes so that you're in close proximity to this place during all eating windows. They're only open for lunch and dinner so you're on your own for breakfast. I had the Rittenhouse which was Mac and cheese topped with creamy cheese, garlic sautéed spinach & artichoke dip, potato chip panko crunch. It was extremely good. Unfortunately since I discovered this place on my last night in Philly I didn't get a chance to go back to try anything else. To help round out your childhood dreams, this place also has cherry soda on tap so you can totally make Shirley temples.

Yelp
*pssst - lean in a bit close* (Whispers) i don't get the hype here. *shrugs* Like many, i found this place via Instagram, and was WOWED and intrigued with the yummy food porn photos they'd post. I rarely go to Philly so when we had the chance, i said off we go to Mac mart. The two others i had gone with didn't know their rep by social media. I had the "heart attack," which is a bacon and caramelized onion Mac with crushed potato chip topping. Sounds amaze balls at least. But it wasn't literally the best thing I've ever had. Maybe had i tried another like crabby Mac or the buffalo Mac, I'd have had a better experience. But meh, can't say i would want to go again. Their staff was super nice and must really love their jobs. So helpful and tolerant of us out of towners haha! I'll be back in philly again...but not to come back here

Yelp
I ordered some Mac and cheese for delivery for lunch the other day. It arrived and was still fresh and hot. I got the crabby Mac and added bacon to it. It was fantastic and the crab tasted really fresh. I will definitely order delivery from here again soon!
