Me and my husband spent his birthday together at this restaurant, the food was perfect and the steak was amazing! Nickel was extremely warm, nice and kind to us and even served us a surprise birthday chocolate cake! Thank you so much, we had such a wonderful and precious evening here!❤️

I was initially hesitant about visiting this restaurant, despite hearing good things, as its location on Shaftesbury Avenue brought to mind tourist traps like the Aberdeen Steakhouse. However, my worries were completely unfounded!!!! The steaks are displayed on a counter, butcher-shop style, allowing you to choose exactly what appeals to you. At the heart of the restaurant is the grill master, who skilfully prepares enormous cuts of beef. You can watch the process without worrying about going home smelling like a barbecue, thanks to the highly effective extractor fans. I would best described this as an Italian-inspired steakhouse, with pasta and tiramisu also featured on the menu. The steaks were cooked to perfection, but surprisingly, the roasted carrots stole the show for me, they were exceptional. For reference, the fries are not your typical ones; they are more like oversized crisps, which may or may not suit everyone’s taste. The only downside was the initial wait for service, but the staff were very friendly once they arrived. Overall, it was an excellent experience, and I would definitely return.

Food: Superb! You can even choose the meat you like from their butcher-like display. Service: Amazing! The staff is very kind, responsive and well mannered. Atmosphere: Magnificent! The whole restaurant is designed around the grill, giving you insights into the cooking process, but also weighting towards an ambient environment with luxurious seating options. The pricing is very reasonable as well! 10/10 would recommend. Non sponsored.

We hosted a friend's 50th birthday party here and the restaurant staff could not have been more accommodating. We were a big, noisy group but they were attentive, flexible and made the day a wonderful experience. An especially big shout out to Anita who coordinated the booking and was on hand throughout the afternoon to cater for our party. The steaks are cooked over an open fire to taste. Superb. Excellent Italian steakhouse, watched an episode of sorted food where Kush recommended this place and could not agree more with him it is truly amazing we shared steak with a cherry tomato salad Parmesan and truffle chips and extra bone marrow. All beautifully presented and steak served under a closhe. Great service from start to finish with a perfectly cooked steak all set in a stunning old building that was very tastefully decorated. Highly recommended

Great steak, it's a bit cramped downstairs so request for seats upstairs. Waiters are friendly and knowledgeable about the steak. They direct you towards the more expensive options which isn't a problem because they are great, but be careful if you're on a budget. Steak could use a little bit more seasoning as well, but that's not a problem.

The food was great but the service was amazing. Every single one of the staff was so attentive to the little details like helping us with our coats, and directing me (as a mobility challenged) to the accessible toilet. I could not rave more about the staff. Extremely professional and thank you for taking care of your customers!

Staff do not seem to know what is happening with customers who have Virgin Experience Voucher. To be served took 45mins. Eventually food was good but not sure if we received 2 meals as was just give 1 steak and was not asked what the other person required. Was supposed to receive a different wine with each course also on arriving was supposed to receive Prosecco and olives and another snack which we did not receive. By the time we were served we were exasperated and stayed because it was a leaving gift from work colleagues. Prosecco initially received was cloudy but we know that there are Prosecco that can be cloudy but the one received tasted off. We were given a fresh Prosecco when the head server/manager stepped. Staff were pleasant. We were given liqueurs at the end as compensation for the tardy service which we thought was a reasonable gesture.
