I really enjoyed this restaurant! The tacos were incredible – I tried the pastor, asada, and cochinita, and each one had such amazing flavor. The pastor was perfectly seasoned and juicy, the asada was tender with a great char, and the cochinita was packed with rich, delicious spices. On top of that, the service was excellent – everyone was friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic and flavorful tacos with great hospitality.

The shrimp tacos were hands down the best I've ever had—perfectly seasoned, fresh, and packed with flavor. The ceviche with mango was a standout too: bright, zesty, and so refreshing. What really made it special, though, was the hospitality. The staff was so warm and welcoming, I felt right at home— (located in Atlanta, Georgia, where Southern charm is a way of life. If you're craving real Mexican flavors and genuine, friendly service, this is the spot. Wish i had this back home!

Ive only been on taco tuesdays kuz ya cant beat 2 tacos and a margarita for $10! The employees are nice and the place looks good. Ive never looked at the menu, but when my friend brings home the regular priced tacos they are huge, worth the $4. The pico was great very fresh.

Nice service but didn’t love the food. I think we had tortas? One chicken and one steak and they gave us one bag of chips on the side. It was really messy and didn’t have a lot of natural flavor. It’s definitely not on the cheaper side of food but moderate portion. I can’t say I wouldn’t try their food again maybe something different next time.

Ordered the chicken torta and the chicken tacos I asked to add jalapenos and fajita veggies to the tortas Tortas were good but not something I would come back and get Tacos were goodish I just wished the chicken was cooked better Overall food was good but I probably won’t be back

These shrimp fajitas has to be the absolute best I’ve everrrrrrrr had! Especially in Atlanta. It’s literally a 10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND 😮‍💨 Literally everything taste so perfect every time. This meal has me in a headlock. The guacamole 🥑 thingy for my chips is always so fresh. I know this place is new but how the line isn’t wrapped around the parking lot is beyond me.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First time here in ATL I stopped by this Mexican restaurant for the first time today, and I was seriously impressed. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming. The staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to answer a few questions about the menu since it was my first visit. You can tell they put pride into their food and service. Prices were reasonable, portions were generous, and the food came out hot and fast. I also really appreciated how clean and cozy the place was. If you’re looking for authentic Mexican food and a great experience overall, definitely give this place a try. I’m already planning to come back and try more from the menu!

Great new taco and tortas place in Shallowford plaza. Lots of other Mexican food on the menu, but we had the tacos. Fish taco and chochinita taco were especially good. Really friendly staff. Lots of carry out orders while we were there, so it’s becoming popular.

Great new neighborhood eatery at Shallowford Publix shopping center. Owner/Chef greeted us and explained unique story of duplicating his brothers 20 year experience at Cazumel. All fresh ingredients go into creating foods from scratch at the restaurant. Magical ambiance and heavenly creations.

Many thanks to whoever made this recommendation, because I instantly fell in love with Machete. The food was outstanding, and service was impeccable. Staff her worked hard enough to warrant white-glove service. They spared no effort to make sure we were well taken care of. Did I mention the food? There's a lot more than tacos going on here. My wife had the enchiladas rojas. Absolutely delicious combination of beef and their red sauce was outstanding. Staff was able to accommodate her desire to avoid anything too spicy. She loved that dish. I had the pollo con champiñones. Good ol' chicken with mushrooms. Delicious. And the portion was huge. Totally hit the spot. Machete is in a strip mall, but the inside is very clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. You can sit at the bar if you like. You might find me there.

Pleasant surprise. Had tortilla soup and enchiladas verde split with my spouse. Great conversation with the owner who is from Cozumel. Look forward to trying Taco Tuesday and chilaquiles. Will be back soon. Service was great and place had a nice friendly vibe to it.

So happy to have tried this new Taco spot. I'd say these were tasty. We tried three typed: Asada (Steak), Chicken, and Chochinita (Pulld Pork) My favorite was the Chicken Taco. Others preferred the Chochinita-- I was told that's the most popular one too. They were tasty tacos and seemed authentic! I was not a fan of the flavors of the Asada Taco. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I'd go back if I was in the mood for fast, easy Tacos one night.

I have been here a few times and this is our newest favorite Mexican place in the area. Fantastic tacos, guacamole, and quesabirria. The service is prompt, friendly, and the cost is reasonable. Highly recommend giving Machete a try.

Delicious! The ingredients absolutely exploded with freshness and authentic flavors. Very kind and gracious employees. Big recommend!

Food was good...not great, but good. Freshly prepared. Reasonable portions--not small but definitely not oversized either. Biggest plus--the staff was VERY friendly and helpful. They didn't have a lot to offer my vegetarian wife on the menu (basically three entrees and two starters) but were willing to customize whatever we wanted. The service was actually good enough I think it could have made up for bad food if that's what we were serving! Ambiance was quaint. About 9 tables. Nothing special but clean and friendly.

The staff made the evening so much more than expected. We were actually having a bite near there and saw a glowing Yelp review so we decided to forgo entrees at one of other favorite spots and check this place ou and boy were we glad we did! We suggest you take a leap of faith and have a bite in a strip mall - you will be pleasantly suprised :)

My order: 1 fish taco 1 asada taco 1 steak quesadilla w/ rice and salad also come with pico and sour cream My take: The only 2 items I enjoyed were the fish taco and the rice. The steak quesadilla tasted like it had kraft yellow cheese on it. It was so bad, no lie. The asada taco was dry...like really really dry. I was highly disappointed because the reviews said this place was authentic. I've had gas station Mexican food better than this place. Maybe it is in a gas station idk I ordered via uber eats. 2/5 stars. I wouldn't order again.

Our new favorite Mexican restaurant! My husband and I have been here several times, and the food is always very fresh and very tasty. I love that there are so many unique dishes to try and not just the same offerings you find at every other Mexican restaurant. Great service and extremely friendly staff, too!

I am so excited to find a great Taco spot so close to home! The tacos were authentic, everything is fresh and the price is right! The staff were really great also! Looking forward to my next visit!!!

I was driving by and noticed their Machete sign, so swung around to give it a try. The spot is new and we were instantly greeted by the Owner or maybe Manager. He gave us a run down of the place. We ordered a few different tacos - chicken, fish, shrimp, and pork. They were all prepped with obviously fresh ingredients and had a great crunch! I will for sure be back as Carlos has great plans for this spot. Check them out!

We were skeptical at first, because the restaurant name didn't sound like the food would be authentic, but we were greeted with friendly faces and were offered a sit-in deal. It just happened to be Tuesday, so we got the Taco Tuesday specials ($2.50/taco), but you only get the deal if you dine in. The music was genuinely enjoyable and the place looked clean and welcoming! 100% recommend this spot! We had the JUICIEST elotes (street corn) we've literally ever had (I mean juice squirted all over my boyfriend's face ) It was a delightful and unexpected, and spontaneous experience. Give them a try, you won't regret it!

Placed a mobile order via Yelp and the corn was so dry! I find it hard to believe the corn was prepared the same day, not a drop of juice in it and it had begun to shrivel up badly. Tacos were dry as well! The week before my order it was perfect...which is why I placed a group order and invited my colleagues to try it as well. The food was not good at all this visit and I really felt bad for wasting my co-workers money. I could tell they were as 'underwhelmed' as I was. It was a huge difference from the week before. I was really excited to have this restaurant in the neighborhood, I live 5 mins away but I won't be going back. We threw almost all of it in the trash except for a few bites and we only ate that bc we were all starving. It's sad that this spot would sell products that aren't fresh...you lost what would have been loyal customers. See the pic below, we spent $67!!!

We really enjoyed our meal. The service was attentive. I had a chicken taco and a pork one, others had quesabria tacos and pollo Mexicano. Tacos were delicious. We also got $5 margaritas on the rocks. Definitely a repeat!

A much needed addition to this Shallowford Rd shopping center! Tacos were flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was quick and friendly. I will definitely look forward to exploring the rest of the menu. Loved the shrimp taco and the salsa verde that they serve with the tacos.

The tacos are so delicious here! I tried the Asada, Chicken and Cochinita - all were Amazing and exceptionally tasty. My friend and I split the Quesaberrias. WOW!!! Incredible flavor and very filling. We also had their $5 margaritas. This place is worth the visit. I'm so glad it's here!

This place is delightful! The staff are so friendly, the owner came out to chat, everyone was exceptionally cool. Food is very authentic --often your typical taco joint--and very very good. Cannot recommend highly enough.
