Henderson Silver Knights fans will need to wait for the debut of the MacKenzie River Pizza, Grill & Pub | Eater Vegas

"Planned for the Lifeguard Arena’s second floor, this under-construction full-service restaurant will feature an outdoor patio facing downtown Henderson, glass windows overlooking the two practice rinks, and direct access from the outdoor plaza. Operated by Bill Foley’s Montana-based Glacier Restaurant Group, the venue is currently hiring and is expected to open in the fall, though specific hours and an exact opening date have not been announced. Aimed at both hockey fans and general visitors, the concept will mirror the menu found at Summerlin’s City National Arena and focus on a casual sports-bar vibe with pub favorites—pizzas, burgers, flatbreads, pasta, shareable plates, a dedicated kids’ menu, happy hour specials and beer." - Bradley Martin

First time eating here and we will definitely be back. Food was excellent, the service was fantastic and the view from the balcony was extremely pleasant. This is inside the hockey arena with coffee stand, a bar and lots of TV's to watch sports. A+ don't miss it. Pretzel sticks were fantastic, and the flat bread and pasta at definitely going to be on repeat for ordering.

Nice, clean, and spacious! Their pizzas are absolutely on point. House made dough, and you can tell. We’ve tried both the thin and regular crust, and they’re both excellent. Bartender Shannon is very attentive and knowledgeable. This space would also be great for large groups!

We had a big group of adults and teens to get a club team bonding dinner and placed food orders in advance. When we arrived, the round tables were separated, and of course, some of the parents were separated from others. The team teens were also sitting in a long row, which got luck of communication between everyone. That was sad, because in the nearest open space of the restaurant were a lot of unoccupied tables. The food service took a very long time. Some of us have already finished, when others are still waiting for service. Also, for some foo, it was visible that it was prepared a way ahead and was slightly warmed up. Pizza was fresh, and tacos were with heated up fish, Korean salmon with dry rice, and fresh broccoli and sweet peppers, which were supposed to be steamed. Pasta was OK. Beer was out, and only one kind available from the list. The manager came to celebrate that service was done and everyone is happy and started clapping, when we pointed out that some people were still waiting for their food. So silly. We understand that this "event" was their big serving task, and get them some points, but charging us 20% tips automatically without giving other choices based on service experience... that was not good.

Honestly I was ready to give this place a 4/5 stars because I sat at the bar and was able to have two great affordable cocktails while i waited on my to-go order. I did feel like the food pricing was kinda but the atmosphere and again the cheap cocktails made up for that… Now when I opened up my box of wings .. I got 8 small tiny wings for $15 and definitely lacking flavor. The pizza also tasted like a pan crust frozen pizza. Honestly, just go to Johnny Mac’s it’s not too far from there.

This place is awesome. Great service and excellent food. The rancher is one of my all-time favorite pizzas they have. They have a great selection of cocktails and beer. Everything on the menu is a must try. I tried the wings as well they have just the right amount of crisp and full of flavor. It's definitely one of my go-to places to eat. If you have not tried, you need to.

Great menu selection, assortment of beers, TVs with variety of programming, responsive staff, unique atmosphere. Ordered the (thin crust) ‘Madison’ pizza & Coors Light draft. Perfect! Plenty of seating for larger events or groups. Views of ice arena and seating for patrons to eat, drink, and enjoy. Somewhat hidden sports bar themed restaurant in Lifeguard Arena in downtown Henderson. Our first visit was enjoyable. It won’t be our last.

1st visit, stopped in for dinner and a pint… On a Saturday, our wait was about 15 minutes, not awful. We had a Rise & Shine Burger and a Rustlers Reuben Sandwich. The burger was amazing! (Could use a little more lettuce and such, only got 1 small piece) The Reuben was kinda lack luster, hardly any meat and squashed almost flat. Fries on both were hot and crispy. Service was good, but it was busy, so she was not available a few times we needed condiments and napkins. Good enough for another visit.

Pizza was delicious! We got half Humble Pie and Half McKenzie River, well done. It was nice and crispy crust. Definitely will be trying some others out next time. As desert we got the Apple Cobbler. If you get this, ask for it without the salt. The salt is very overpowering and throws the dish off. Not pictured is the Barbarian Pretzels with beer cheese, those were a tad salty as well but can easily take the salt off those. Staff was friendly and they have semi decent happy hour specials.
