Mistake or not? Has this happened to you?
We ordered a pizza from Mack Pizza of Stone Harbor - and when we got home we noticed an extra charge on our receipt for $3 When we called Mack's to ask what the extra charge was for, the answer was pretty quick - oh sometimes people forget to zero out the register and whatever charge was there before gets added to the next bill - we were told if we drive back there , they would credit us. About 3 minutes after we hung up the phone, we received a call from Mack's telling us no need to drive back- they would credit our card right away. Not sure how to feel about this. There were no questions about what we were talking about - they seemed to know. Was it an honest mistake? I truly hope this was an honest mistake - but if the owner reads this, you may want to check this out. Our family has a family business too - I would want to know if this happened in my store. I don't think we will go back there. We've lived here for 7 years and I've never had this happen - here or anywhere. Ask for and check your receipts - always a good practice. .
2hrs later update - well, guess what? Mack's not only refunded the erroneous $3, they refunded the cost of the pizza - wow , that was a surprise. Will have to give them another chance - Thank you Mack's, not expected, but very much appreciated.
