Georgia May Be Getting Its First National Park Soon — and It Has More Than Just Scenic Trails

"The Macon Marriott City Center is closest to the Ocmulgee Mounds entrance, located on the opposite side of the river from downtown. It has all the amenities you’d expect from a convention center-type hotel, including an indoor pool, a fitness center, and a restaurant. Rooms are also pet-friendly, with a fee." - Travel + Leisure Editors

My husband and I came in around 9:15 AM into the concierge lounge. We noticed that the turkey sausage was hard. We asked Miss Stephanie if she can get us some fresh sausage and without any hesitation, she went downstairs just to get us fresh sausage for out for the start of our day. This is the type of service that you expect when you’re staying at a Marriott location. Miss Stephanie is always kind, sweet, and outgoing for the. For the guest that is in the concierge lounge. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel welcome. She is one of the main reasons why I stay at this hotel.

This hotel was amazing. The room was immaculate, the bed was incredibly comfortable, and the little amenities were a bonus. In the morning we were greeted warmly by Ashley at the breakfast buffet. She had a wonderful smile and chirpy greeting for us as soon as we entered the dining room. She checked on our needs multiple times throughout breakfast and really made the dining area shine as she made her way around. The food was hot and we had an abundance of choices. Even though this was a quick stop for us, we highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

Exceeded my expectations! Check in was smooth. Dawn, at the front desk was friendly, welcoming, and went above and beyond for me. Loved her! The staff here is very personable, including the bartender Latonya! She was so sweet, professional, and accommodating! Will stay here again!

The service was great. Everyone from the front counter to the severing staff was friendly and made us feel welcome. The room was comfortable and fairly clean except for the capeting. It felt tacky in some areas, so i did not go barefoot. The continental breakfast was good with choices of hot and cold foods. Other than needing a good carpet cleaning, it's a nice hotel.

On behalf of the Men of Standard Conference team, I want to extend our sincere thanks for the outstanding service and hospitality your team provided during our event. From the moment we arrived, your staff went above and beyond to ensure everything ran smoothly. The accommodations, meeting spaces, and overall atmosphere created a welcoming and professional environment where our attendees could focus on growing, connecting, and being inspired. We are especially grateful for your flexibility, attention to detail, and willingness to assist with our needs—big and small. Your team played a significant role in the success of this year’s conference, and we deeply appreciate it. Please pass along our gratitude to everyone involved. We look forward to the opportunity to work together again in the future. With appreciation, Lee A. Macon City Marriott is my favorite hotel in Macon for one reason; its people. Don’t get me wrong, the location and space is great but the people make every stay feel like home. Today I’d like to shout out Ms. Stephanie in the concierge lounge. She’s always friendly and takes great care of that we have a top tier experience. I had to stay this time because I was escaping a storm. She intentionally left the breakfast up for those of us who may have needed to sleep in due to a late night of running from the storm. It’s the little touches like that that makes one feel welcome. Thank you Macon City Marriott and the people here that make every stay wonderful.

Dawn and melanie at the front desk were so amazing! Greeted me as soon as I walked in and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Good vibe and great energy. The hotel is lucky to have them. Every hotel should have someone like them. The rooms are good size. The pillows are not comfortable. The bar in the lobby is surprisingly good with good variety. Everything is clean .

I am 56 years of age I was there for a training with the National Park in the afternoons I ordered dinner and decided have drinks however one after this Caucasian guy decided I need an I.D. clearly profiling me as other members from my team all Caucasians sat and ordered their drinks without being asked for their I.D.|If you haven't figured it out I am African American. |I felt humiliated as clearly he could see i was a grown adult and why single me out? On a good note I want to thank Latoya Meadows and Atravia for their hospitality they both went above. And beyond to treat me with great customer service something the white guy who is younger than I am by the way should learn. That experience from him was not receptive at all.

Yelp
I recently stayed at the Marriott City Center in Macon while on business. The hotel is conveniently located just off Interstate 16, but the road leading to it is often under construction, making access a bit challenging. The Marriott itself feels tired and has seen better days. The front desk staff were polite, and my room was clean. The hotel offers Marriott points if you opt out of housekeeping for stays of two nights or more. In my bathroom, a vanity light was burnt out, and I had to request a replacement. Unfortunately, they replaced it with a daylight bulb, which clashed with the warm tones of the other lighting. Additionally, the TV in my room wasn't working, displaying only a scrambled screen. Thankfully, I booked at a discounted business rate; I would have been quite disappointed if I had paid full price. On a positive note, there is a "now serving" Starbucks in the lobby, although it has very limited hours.

Yelp
I am so sorry to have to render this low review. I was really surprised at what we experienced here. Let me begin with the positive's thus the 2 star rating. The concierge staff (face to face) and restaurant staff were fantastic ... very accommodating and caring ... rendered services with a smile! Here we go! Well, once we were checked in and exited the elevator on our floor a stinky stuffy odor hit us immediately. It continued to fill our noses all the way down the hallway to our room door. Once in the room it was the same but somewhat concentrated (odor). I believe the odor was in the carpet (needed shampooing badly). There were also stains and wear showing in the carpet throughout the hotel. When we initially arrived we had to immediately get ready to attend a function. We hurried off after changing for our event. When we returned later that evening we called over and over to the concierge's number to ask about breakfast (no answer....never ever got anyone). Hubby and I gave up and got ready to turn in. When we turned our bed back it appeared to have already been slept in (badly loose and wrinkled sheets impacted in the wear pattern of the mattress's grooves). We called again, again no answer. We were so tired that we slept atop the bed. Later that night I got up to use the bathroom. When I turned the light on a roach ran across the bathroom floor (ughhh). Needless to say that we were so disappointed. This is a Marriott after all!!! We didn't expect this here. We're still In disbelief. I'll end my review on positive note. We found the breakfast staff to be accommodating and attentive. Our server was Ashley. She was reallly good ... a bright light during our stay. Another observation was a chef who we saw constantly monitoring the chafing pans and replacing pastries as needed. He was on the ball. Thank you chef Shawn! The breakfast menu is not vast but what is served there is very good (eggs, meats, breads, pastries, fresh fruits, yogurts, cereals, drinks and more). Lastly, we were surprised that this Marriott did not have an EV charging station. Verrry surprised. What we received here I'd expect from budget hotels. Very disappointed. Recommendation: look into other credible hotels around for the rate this hotel charges. The saving grace here for us is the staff.

Yelp
This is my go to place when I stay anywhere in the Macon and surrounding areas. Geri is amazing every time I visit. Nice clean rooms and great staff.

Yelp
I stayed one night at the Marriott to attend an event at the hotel. My check-in experience was great. Deasia and Jeri were efficient and patient with me. They used my phone number to look up my Marriott Bonvoy account which was extra work on their part. I noted during my time there that they were kind, friendly and efficient with everyone. My room was fairly clean, but the bathroom shower was sticky on the inside wall. For one night, it wasn't a huge deal. The common areas reminded me more of a Marriott Courtyard. Unfortunately I didn't get to experience the restaurant or the bar. I don't think this hotel is worth the price point. but my experience was very good.

Yelp
Don't even hesitate. Just book here. I've been to Macon before and second guessed it because I was only staying for a night, and ended up in a dump. This time, I thought better of it and booked here. I was literally in the same parking lot as the coliseum so it was perfect. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was friendly and they allow pets! I didn't have a single issue. There is a $10 parking fee and a pet fee, but I would definitely stay here again.

Yelp
Oh no!!! The food served here got everyone in our business group sick. The dishes were nasty. The pool looked like it had not been cleaned this year. The smoking area is right next to the front door and you get choked entering and leaving this hotel.

Yelp
The Marriott in Macon is a mixed bag. The staff are courteous and professional - when we arrived at 10:30pm after a long drive the kitchen staff was kind enough to prepare something for us even though the restaurant was closed. Front desk staff was good as well. On the other hand, the room left a lot to be desired, especially for a Marriott. Our room didn't come with a safe, and the closet doors were dinged up. The worst though was that the vents were DISGUSTING and clearly are not cleaned on a regular basis. As others have noted, the hotel isn't in a super nice part of town or anything, there's a lot of construction going on and it's not walkable at all. Not sure why they charge $10 for parking given that it's not like space is at a premium.

Yelp
We love this hotel so much that we're planning our third stay! The location is perfect for the halfway point between Orlando and Blairsville. There were several other hotels we could have stayed at, but the service and cleanliness are top notch. We stayed on the second and sixth floor. Both were exceptional! Dawn at the front desk, Juju in the restaurant, and Kyle in the lounge made an exhausting day of driving so relaxing and easy. By the way, the restaurant has the best shrimp this Florida girl has ever eaten! The po boy with the fried green tomatoes dip on top was exceptional! The Starbucks is also a huge bonus, but the coffee in the room was very good! Thank you, Marriott, for such a great experience! We'll be back!

Yelp
It's rare that I stay at a hotel multiple times but due to work I'm here several times a year. The hotel is great to support meetings. The bedrooms have everything that you need but cleanliness is an ongoing issue for me. On one occasion, I found hair ALL through the bedding (wasn't changed between guest). I didn't get in the bed to notice it until 10pm. I was told there was no housekeeping at that hour so a front desk staff member changed the bedding. On my latest visit, the shower wasn't clean and the flooring in the room was slippery. The door on the shower was also broken. Out of the 8 times I've stayed I've had an issue on 4 occasions. Yelp
This hotel and it's staff are okay. Nice. Professional. But.... It's the area in which this hotel is located that kills the review. I've never been to.a marriott that was located in an area that looks like you need a body guard to walk around with. The lobby is nice and typical of Marriott. The room I got was a standard queen/king set up. Nothing wrong with the room. The view looks out on abandoned brick buildings and grassy overgrown parkinglots of the abandoned buildings. There ARE nice restaurants in thw downtown area. But I highly recommwnd you DON'T walk to them. Drive or uber.

Yelp
One of the better hotels in Macon--but, you really need to be driving or taking a rideshare to get here comfortably. It is not located in the city center and there is a lot of highway construction going on near it and walking can be hazardous. Front desk service was very touch-and-go. One lady from the Caribbean was super friendly and competent. They other two folks I encountered over the weekend didn't communicate very well and didn't really provide accurate information. (For example, I had a confirmed 4:00pm late check out and the first lady who checked me in didn't put that request in. The guy at the front desk on my day of checkout was clueless and didn't see the late check out noted and tried to force us out at 2:00pm.) The room was clean, but due to lack of housekeeping staff, we had to get more towels and toothbrushes/toothpaste directly from the front desk. Also, be warned that the Concierge Lounge is only open Monday - Thursday. The hotel restaurant was very good. We ate there for dinner and breakfast. King the chef was fantastic for our dinner there. The buffet breakfast was very tasty and fulfilling.

Yelp
I requested a change in rooms twice based on several issues that are depicted in the photos. First room had bed bugs and human hair on a "clean" bed. Second room, had blood and unidentified yellow stains. The third room was fine other than the mold on the clear plastic shower liner. I don't think I was "picky" but rather expecting quality but most importantly cleanliness. It is not ok to use stained bed linen and expect customers to sleep on it! I was given access to the concierge lounge as compensation but I didn't have the need or the time to access it other than to get free coffee and water. I was traveling for work and sharing a rental car with a coworker. Had I not, I would've checked out. Marriott used to be a top brand hotel but I don't believe this is the case after recent stays in other hotels. CoVID shouldn't be used as an excuse for these issues. I will not stay here again. My coworker didn't have an issue with his room. Stay at your own risk.

Yelp
First night here for a conference. Checked in and turned on the TV to check the weather but it wasn't working. Went down to the front desk and asked for them to help. They tried to reset it there but it still didn't work so we called maintenance. Terrence was very quick to respond super friendly, polite, upbeat, and didn't treat me like I broke the TV lol. He fixed the TV in less than a minute and told me to call back if I needed anything else that they were going to be here till 11 not to worry about bothering them. So far we are off to a great start.

Yelp
I stayed here for a concert of Ronnie,Bobby, Ricky, Mike. RBRM half of new edition R&B group in early october. The lobby at this marriott is very inviting. Check in was fast with very courteous front desk associates. There is a bar and Starbucks on property. The parking area has plenty of space but not on this day. I believe everyone renting a room was here for the concert since it was just in walking distance next door at the coliseum. The room was spacious and clean and very comfortable. It was a bit noisey during the night due to so many people being there. In the morning I ordered room service which was very good and it came with two beverages included with breakfast. Most hotels charge additional for a drink but this hotel didnt. I had hot chocolate from Starbucks and orange juice. I would definitely stay here again if i ever come back to the area.
google avatar

Jennifer V.

Yelp
Stayed here for a training and would not return. The room was fine, but the conference space was no where close to Marriott standards. Oh, and to top it off, check out the pics I got of the cockroaches crawling around the hotel.
google avatar

Yelp
If I could give them a Zero, I would. My husband stayed at the Marriott in Macon. They have had, according to the police in Bibb County, multiple break ins for vehicles in there parking lots for months. They even had FBI vehicles broken into. No one warned us and they had (17) vehicles broken into when he was there. No signs and no security. The security guard was out sick, according to the employee's at the hotel and the police. The insurance was filed and the police report was filed, but 3 months later the insurance refused to pay saying they have signs. DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING THEY SAY and Never Stay there.

Yelp
This Marriott property is the worst of many that we have stayed @ across the United States over many years; we are Marriott members. We were here for a family function. The front desk staff was so rude. When we asked what the room options were during check, the employee commented, "The Marriott information online is all wrong about this facility. If you want a higher floor, you are going to have to take a room that hasn't been cleaned.". We booked a two day stay 2/18-2/20. We left our room on 2/19 at 11:00am and returned 12 hours later close to midnight after a day in Atlanta only to find no maid service; no clean towels, no toilet paper and our bed hadn't been made. We walked downstairs after midnight to gather toilet paper and fresh towels.

Yelp
I was in Macon for work and stayed here 1 Friday night. My experience here was great so I don't know why the other ratings are so low. But again, I only stayed 1 night. I travel for work and holiday a lot and stay in a lot of hotels. I was very happy to see how nice this one was and I was thrilled to see that there was a Starbucks there too. :D The woman workin the Starbucks was fantastic. I wish I had gotten her name so I could give her a shout out. All around god experience! I would definitely recommend it to anyone needing ti stay in Macon.

Yelp
My husband and I came into town for a concert at the Macon Centreplex. This hotel is a short Uber/Lyft drive from the venue. The hotel is very clean, spacious and comfortable. They have a bar and a restaurant. We opted for the bar. They have a full bar with lots of options. We ordered some fried calamari, French fries and a salad. It was really good for bar food. We will definitely stay there again when we come to town. We were surprised at how much Macon has to offer. It's a super cute little town.

Michael M.

Yelp
Best hospitality, excellent friendly staff! Facilities well maintained! Close to Macon restaurants!

Yelp
Checked in yesterday and stumbled upon these reviews. I checked in on line, asking for an early arrival, and immediately received my room. The man at the front desk was friendly and efficient. When I asked if there was a restaurant in walking distance, he suggested that I drive instead. Apparently the neighborhood needs revitalizing. I am here for 2 days and everyone that works here has been friendly . One reviewer complained of a dirty room with missing phone cords, no ironing board, no hair dryer, and a moldy bathroom shower. I took photos so you can see for yourself. This hotel meets the Marriott standards and I would definitely recommend it to others.

Diane S.

Yelp
Hands down the worst Marriott in the portfolio. The bar service is a nightmare every time I'm here. There's one person serving everyone and running her own food. The bar is trashed. Took 21 minutes to get a drink. It's the same every time. In the room they cut back on coffee, sugar and amenities. They give 2 sugar packets and 1 coffee. No milk. It's such a joke how much they've cut back but this location is horrible!! The gym is filthy. Never again.
google avatar

Ralphie S.

Yelp
The room was clean and the bed comfy. The location is next to the interstate but not convenient to walk downtown, so don't let the "City Center" name fool you. Service in the bar was so bad that I actually had to call the hotel on my phone and ask for a bartender. Nobody seemed to care about the 4 of us at the bar.
google avatar

Fiana T.

Yelp
I attended a work conference at the Macon Marriott. They really need electronical outlets for personal computers and smart devices in the ballrooms. The temperature in the facility was way too cold. Everyone was freezing. Having a few umbrellas on hand for guests to borrow would also be helpful. Guests were getting soaked trying to get to their cars.

Dee P.

Yelp
Blood stains on bed. Bathroom furniture had mold on it. Needs a good rehab, or just simply some deep cleaning would help. Breakfast staff very friendly. But the bloody bed is horrid. Made complaint with Marriott, and over 1 month later- Nobody from management from this hotel has bothered to make any type of contact with me. Beware.

Shelvia S.

Yelp
Stayed here in May 2022. Had my sunglasses stolen from my room. Contacted management and a report was completed. A month later, no movement on the issue when I called back, another person was the manager: Nakeisha Palmer. I spoke with her and sent emails with the General Manager Kathy Martin copied. I have only gotten one reply. I have made several calls to Corporate: the case keeps being closed without any follow up from anyone in management. I keep having to call back and have the case reopened so there can be something done to make me whole. There is even a line in the case file from Nakeisha that she called my on 8/19 and this is not true. but she closed the case again with no voicemail, no email, no follow up of any kind. I just want my money returned to me for what I had to spend to replace my belongings and they can be done with me as I WILL NEVER stay at this hotel again due to the poor customer service I have been receiving on this matter. If I could leave less that one star, I would but the system does not allow it. I stated I did not want anyone cleaning my room since we are still in a pandemic and as soon as I went to the parking lot, someone entered my room despite my request and a do not disturb sign on the door.
google avatar

Brad S.

Yelp
The room is actually quite nice but the supporting amenities are poor. When I checked in last night at 7pm, both the restaurant and bar were closed.

Stephen W.

Yelp
Bad experience. Hotel isn't worthy of Marriott brand. Issues we encountered: (1) Deadbolt lock to room didn't work. (2) Room wasn't cleaned on 2nd day. When we complained at 7 PM, we were told someone would clean the room immediately. Returned from dinner at 10 PM to find room still uncleaned. No explanation from staff about what happened. (3) Requested Pack 'n Play for 1-year-old daughter weeks ahead of arrival. Called hotel a few days in advance to confirm. PNP was not ready in room when we arrived, and it took more than 40 minutes for it to be delivered. First PNP was broken, so had to request second one. (4) In general, the hotel is in serious need of a facelift. Carpets are old and stained. Wallpaper is peeling from walls. (5) Surrounding area does not seem safe. Bottom line, his hotel did not deliver on the fundamentals of providing a safe room (no functioning deadbolt; surrounding area seems unsafe) with daily cleaning. Why would anyone stay here?
google avatar

Layvette M.

Yelp
Very disappointed. 1. They gave us the wrong room. 2. The new room did not have any type of towels 3. No ironing board 4. No cords for the telephones 5. the air conditioner did not work 6. No hair dryer and 7. mold in the shower. The staff appeared to be bothered that we needed things for the room which it should already be there at arrival. I love Marriott Hotels but this one is terrible. Save your money and go somewhere else. I gave it a star because I could post the review without one. .

Yelp
Almost 5 hours ago I reported my tv wasn't working. Told a manager face to face and also called front desk. Still waiting. I will edit with better rating if they resolve issue. Also, nothing even close to this place. You have to drive to find food, store or anything. Worse conference location ever.

T P.

Yelp
This hotel's cleaning service is disgusting... I wrote a previous post as well. They only make the bed. My bathroom looks disgusting and there is trash everywhere.
google avatar

Yelp
Travel frequently for business in the southeast and needed a room in Macon so I tried this property. The room was clean but appeared a bit worn down. The staff was friendly when you could find someone to help. The management team needs to make some repairs and upgrades and make some additions to the employee roster. The concierge lounge was closed one morning, the front door was broken, the toilet in the room was about to fall off the mounts, the restaurant was out of several items and made no apologies. There aren't a lot of other options in the area and they seem to know that. Wouldn't stay here again unless all the other area hotels were booked.
google avatar

K L.

Yelp
Disappointing experience. We stayed here a few years ago when passing through and had a great experience but this time was not great. Firstly we were checked into someone else's room. Then given keys for the wrong room. We asked when the restaurant was open for dinner and were told the hours. What they failed to mention was they were not open on Sunday. The room itself was fine but at $160 per night it should be. The next morning we went down for breakfast but there was no buffet. Breakfast was expensive and food was just okay. There was also at various times an unpleasant odor both in our room and outside. I would think twice before staying here a third time.

Yelp
The only good part about this lobby concession area is RANDY! We are in town for a cheer competition at the Coliseum next door which is ATTACHED TO THE HOTEL and we came to the hostess stand at 2:07 on a Saturday and we're told their in-lobby restaurant is closed. WHY??? I've been sitting at the lobby bar watching people stream in and out looking for food. What a waste of possible revenue. Thank GOD Randy opened the bar and is serving a LONG LINE OF CUSTOMERS. THANK YOU RANDY
google avatar

Allison G.

Yelp
It looks like a nice, clean hotel, but a HUGE bed bug was crawling on my sheets. When I killed it, blood went everywhere. I will not be staying here again.
google avatar

Jason B.

Yelp
Not what you expect from a Marriott. We stayed three nights. Both days we had to call to get housekeeping. The room was not cleaned one day until 6 PM and another day until 4 PM. During our entire state, the air conditioning was not on and the common areas, hallways, and elevators. I asked the staff how long this and been the case, figuring that it was broken, but they said that it is always off. The restaurant was not properly staffed, the hotel lobby bar was not properly staffed, because you should not have to wait 40 minutes for a Caesar salad or a grilled chicken salad sandwich. The gym needs updating, but to be honest, a lot of Marriotts need the gym updated.

Laura A.

Yelp
Stayed here as part of a conference. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Bartender was great, Starbucks was great. The staff were awesome and I want to commend them on their hard work! Thank you all so much for a great stay.

Sheila H.

Yelp
I stayed here for 4 days in January, I had great experience, room was very clean, The comfort was second to none, Nice quality bedsheets and pillows, clean hallways ,restrooms. Staff was friendly. I have made reservations to stay again for 2weeks. In February.

Yelp
Just want to take a minute and shout out the team at this hotel. My mom and I had to stay here a couple of nights last week because my dad was in the neighboring hospital in critical condition. The staff made our stay so nice and were incredibly kind. Every single person was cheerful and polite and they were a bright spot in our otherwise awful days! The room was also quite nice, and very clean as was the whole hotel. Thank you to the staff! We appreciate y'all!

Kelli P.

Yelp
I would like to echo the comments on housekeeping for this hotel. Our room had two queen beds - one had stains all over the comforter and the other bed was missing the flat sheet. The room felt damp and had an odd smell. The check-in process was handled by two ladies who were than interested in their job - not showing where the elevators are (did give Starbucks times, didn't offer waters like they typically do, and were rude to the man checking in ahead of me. I did two starts because the pillows were comfortable - wanted to find a positive. Housekeeping NEEDS HELP or TRAINING

Lorrie P.

Yelp
Spent one night here driving up from Florida. Hotel was clean, quiet and comfortable. Staff was very friendly and efficient. It had a bar and restaurant which we didn't visit. I did go to the Starbucks in the lobby which was nice to have. Would recommend. Parking was free .
google avatar

Shannon K.

Yelp
This place was wonderful. Super clean and updated rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel bar/sundries/Starbucks/restaurant were also a pleasant surprise. Like everyone else mentioned: please consider free wifi! During our stay there was a concert at the Centreplex and with theadditional ~5000+ people in the area our cellular service was super slow to nonexistent.
google avatar

MD W.

Yelp
Here for a training and the staff were awesome!!! Very professional and accommodating.... The food was great for training food... Beverages were well stocked! I see triple A Diamond awards posted for the last 4 years and it appears most deserving!!! I would definitely recommend this location for trainings, conferences, events, or just leisure!!!

Zarinah M.

Yelp
Overall the stay was great. The only problem we had was with the bed. We found excess hair in the bed not belonging to us. Also the microwave would shut off on its own multiple times. It took us 15 min to warm up food that should of took 2 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
The customer service here is AWFUL. We scheduled to stay here for a night for a wedding. We requested early check in, extra pillows, and paid extra for the romance package (champagne and chocolate strawberries). We arrived at 4 in the afternoon to NO rooms available. We had to wait about 45 minutes just to get into our room, and they didn't even provide us with any of the extra things we requested. Why would you have the option to request these things if you don't actually plan on fulfilling them!?!? We finally got our things late at night AFTER the wedding. We also paid for the hotel breakfast. We were told breakfast ended at 11, turns out it's actually 10:30 on Sunday's so we also missed breakfast thanks to your unknowledgeable concierge. Our whole stay has been ridiculously frustrating and we will NEVER book with you guys again.

Yelp
I am here for a mind numbing conference and have found the room to be above average, well decorated and appointed with lots of data hookups. On the other hand, I requested a king which was not available when I got here (who got it?) and this is a pretty low definition cable setup with a user unfriendly guide.. Also, I remain irritated that while cheap hotels offer free wi-fi, those catering to the business traveler have not gotten the memo that people have ways of connecting that do not involve paying them nine fucking dollars. Who does that? The lunch that was served at the conference was off the chart. Kudos for that. I blessed the bar during the evening and enjoyed great service from Jenna. I was very amused as she professionally handled another patron who was making an ass of himself over the difference between rare and medium rare in the steak he had ordered, She handled him like a pro (as the proverb says "a soft answer turneth away wrath" ) Overall this is a great hotel for a business trip and they are no way responsible for the content of the conference I am attending.

Yelp
My experience with a Marriott is that you never know what you are going to get. The hotel side was fine. Plenty of parking; elevators were quick enough. No, I am not going to pay you for Internet. Hotels with a similar price do not charge for this. The restaurant is a disaster. There are no customers there so I do not understand why the service is so slow. For French onion soup, salad, a desert and water, it took 90 minutes. I waited 20 minutes for the soup and another 20 for the salad to arrive. Breakfast was just as bad. Two of us ordered oatmeal. After it arrived it took 10 minutes to find the waitress so we could ask for the condiments that went with the oatmeal. Another 10 minutes and she shows up with condiments for only one of us. Unless you have a lot of time and don't mind your meal arriving one piece at a time, avoid this restaurant.

Yelp
Average hotel. The rooms are ok and the service is acceptable though neither comes close to usual Marriott standards. However, the bar and restaurant are WELL below average. The bar doesn't keep basic drink ingredients and my dinner was terrible. I ordered salmon which should be fairly basic, but it was cold and dry. The vegetables were tasteless and cold as well. Stay here if you just need a convenient hotel to downtown but avoid the bar and restaurant!
