Mean Sandwich in Ballard Reopens for Takeout | Eater Seattle

"During the stay-at-home order, Macrina Bakery has been working on its sourdough starter project and will debut its first line of sourdough bagels starting Thursday. I report the bagels come in four flavors — plain, sesame, poppy, and sea salt — and will be available for wholesale in about a week; Macrina is still open for pickup and delivery at its four Seattle locations and one in Kent. These bagels will enter a suddenly-burgeoning Seattle bagel scene alongside recent players such as Rubinstein and Mt Bagel and established names like Westman’s Bagels, Eltana, and Porkchop and Co." - Gabe Guarente

Fabulous food and coffee. We had the BLT and the Bialy sandwich. The sandwiches were big so we had no room for a treat but they looked delicious. Highly recommend. We will come again!

1/8/25 Called in twice to this location @ 7:12 am and 7:13 am only to be hung up on both times. Some woman answered the phone and disconnected the call the moment I asked my question each time. My boyfriend has also had issues getting in contact with this location. In the past, he’s tried calling the number and instead of getting ahold of someone at the store, sometimes the call is answered by someone from the office(?). He’ll have a question about an item because this location doesn’t stay stocked with their daily menu items. The office person won’t know so they’ll have to transfer his call to the actual store, however the call gets disconnected mid transfer… It’s all very annoying. People don’t want to waste their time/gas coming here just for them to be told that the bakery did not receive a shipment of xyz. This has happened on several occasions to me and my boyfriend and even the employees have suggested calling in first since it seems like shipment for particular items are sporadic. That said, you have a 1 out of 5 chance of ever getting ahold of someone here. I’m not sure if management is aware, but this is an ongoing problem with this location specifically. I’ve literally never had a problem getting in contact with any of the other Macrina locations. The Kent location is just pathetic.

Wonderful bakery!! So many choices! And a wonderful Unsweetened Almond milk latte!! When you drive up, it seems that you are parking in a warehouse… but the wholesale bakery it’s right next door, so don’t worry you have the cafe available for that bakery/ cafe feeling. I had the almond pinwheel … nice and crispy wonderfully done. Wonderful choices I wish a took a picture of everything available. If I have a breakfast meeting, it definitely worth the stop for bakery good to impress in your meeting

Decent place to get pastries and coffee. The food was under whelming, the quality of the means was okay, the bread was okay as it’s a bakery. Maybe their sweets were better than there savories items. Wouldn’t come back if I had to.

I just had the worst breakfast sandwich of my life here. You know how only once every 2-5 years you get served something from a restaurant that is actually disgusting and truly resvolting and makes you feel sick? That was the breakfast sandwich I had served to me here today. I ordered the basic cheese bacon and egg breakfast sandwich, on a cheese bagel. The sandwich served to me was inexplicably shriveled and absolutely drenched in oil. I'm not a picky eater so figured I'd eat it anyway but as I tried to make my way through the sandwich I realized the bacon was under cooked as well as some of the fattiest bacon 🥓 I've ever had the displeasure of paying more than $12 for. The bacon was cut thick but had a ratio of about 70% fat to 30% meat. There was almost no egg on the sandwich, yet there was yolk covering the entire outside of the bagel making it even more difficult to eat. It was a complete mess. The effect this created while eating was that of me eating a dry bagel that has only slices of thick fatty bacon and somehow also a wet oil soaked piece of bread pulled out of a cold deep frier. I did not realize these two sensations could exist in the same sandwich but Macrina Bakery & Cafe taught me taught me that today, and that's about the only good thing I can say about them. It was my first time visiting this store, I can't speak to the quality of the pastries as I only got a breakfast sandwich and a coffee. Please spare yourself some heart ache and stomach ache and do not get the breakfast sandwiches here. (My girlfriend got the same breakfast sandwich with an everything bagel instead of cheese and it was marginally less oily. Both of us threw away the 2nd half of our sandwiches after realizing we weren't forced to eat them) P.S. the sandwiches were also underseasoned on top of all that

Google
Awesome bakery! We got a bit of everything: a loaf of sourdough, sandwiches, a cookie, some pastries, various coffees, blueberry scones, chicken pot pie, etc. - everything was great and met our expectations. Lovely staff too!

Google
Great for a pastry and coffee, breakfast and lunch. Gluten free options. Wonderful and helpful staff. You should try it. Very generous to businesses serving those in need.

Google
I generally visit right after opening at 7 am to get pastries for my early morning crew. I always get about 20 mixed yummies. The counter person is always very helpful and pleasant.

Yelp
I am a fan. Everything was so delicious. Everything I tried was delicious. I recommend :)

Yelp
Yum! I had no idea there was a Macrina in Kent. It is located towards the backroads to Tukwila, right by the warehouses with colorful numbers. Anyways I got the carne quiche, almond pinwheel, guava cream cheese hand pie, and mini carrot cake. All were pretty good! My favorite was the quiche and the side of pickled cauliflower. I don't even like cauliflowers but these were so delicious and totally unexpected when I opened my to go box. Highly recommend getting your quiche heated even if it's to-go. Probably the best quiche I've ever had! Just a nice balance of flavor, cheese & crispy crust! My least favorite was the guava hand pie. I thought this would have been my favorite but I didn't really care for the filling. I thought it would've been like a swirl of guava & cream cheese but it was blended together and it had the appearance of how dairy based fillings look when it's starting to separate. Kinda lumpy. Tasted decent though just not what I was expecting for the filling. Staff were friendly and patient! They seem to always have a line - short and fast moving though.

Yelp
Stopped in for a very quick lunch and I am so happy this location exists. We tried the Demi ham sandwich and the Carne sandwich. Both excellent, but the Carne is what is would order again. From the appearance I was expecting a heavier bread, but the bun was so airy and delicate. Perfect for the bacon and turkey contained within. The sandwich size was perfect for my needs, because I did not want to carry around leftovers for the rest of the day. The employees at the counter were cheery, friendly and helpful. It is a small space with a maybe 8 tables? So I'm glad we missed the lunch rush!

Yelp
This is the best bakery in Washington, I don't care what anyone says. I used to be a baker in California, and I tried every other bakery there and none compare to Macrina. I tried every bakery that was recommended to me by Washington locals in my time there, and none of them compare to Macrina either. This place is legit. The mocha was better than all the coffee shops I tried while in Seattle too. Everything was clean and organized, the bathrooms were spotless, I can't say enough good things about this place. I wish there was just 1 Macrina back home.
google avatar

Yelp
I had to stop mid pastry to make this review, I'm a food reviewer from Arizona and this is the best bakery I have ever been to. I would come back to Seattle just for this bakery. The atmosphere is simple and the service is top tier!

Yelp
Best pastries, cookies and coffee in the greater Kent area. My coworkers go nuts when someone picks up Macrina. You are a hero if you bring a box of pastries to work!

Yelp
We went here for breakfast on our next to last day in Seattle. The ambiance is what you would expect of a bakery. There were a few tables but it is mostly take out. The aromas of fresh breads and pastries is enticing. Everything was so good that we ended up eating in two waves. First wave, I had a bagel and cream cheese and a huge cup of tea. Second wave, I had an apple turnover. Both were excellent. The kid had a cup cake, the wife had a fried fruit pie and something else I don't remember, but everyone loved everything. Everything was very fresh and high quality. Service is good. You order at the counter and they either make it (in the case of a sandwich) or just get what you selected. Great place, I wish we had one in Dallas.

Yelp
Airport dropoff with a side trip to the styrofoam recycling center brought us to Macrina's kent location for an early breakfast. What a treat! We ordered the bacon egg bialy and a morning glory muffin. Loved the muffin. The bialy was good, once we removed most of the onions (sooo many onions).

Yelp
Everything at Macrina is delicious. My only complaint is my favorites are sold out of if I go later in the day. There isn't a lot of seating but they do have a small outdoor patio. Great for a sweet treat or a small lunch. Staff is always friendly and welcoming.

Liliya R.

Yelp
Nice place for breakfast on a weekday! Their ham egg sandwich was so good! I especially loved the thinly sliced ham. Other favorites are the orange hazelnut pastry and apricot pecan oatmeal cookie.

Yelp
While hunting for an open brunch spot on Cyber Monday, I stumbled upon this adorable little cafe nestled in the heart of the Kent industrial district. I was surprised to find out that Macrina Bakery has expanded out of Seattle into the Eastside! This charming cafe is attached to the bread factory and you can watch their operations through the cafe window. They offer coffee, fresh pastries and breads, as well as a breakfast and lunch menu. They had a constant stream of customers the whole time I dined-in, and the staff were friendly and quick with the service. One star off because the bagel and chicken pot pie I got was very dry and bit burnt.

Yelp
My visit was quick, but I felt welcomed by the friendly greetings and by the looks of the impressive display of enticing baked goods. I marveled at all the options and how artistic it all looked. I ordered a cinnamon bun, the roly poly (which is different from cinnamon bun in that it has walnuts, raisins, and coconut) , and the strawberry cheesecake. I loved it all!! I plan to go back, order from their drink menu, delight in a croissant and stay a while with a good book. Check them out, I definitely recommend it!

Yelp
Busy busy place where there's several parking spots that fill up quickly, even in a weekday morning. Lots of good options to try from. If you have time to eat breakfast or lunch there, there are a handful of tables inside and outside. Pretty good but not award winning pastries you'd mistake for Paris but a good option if close by!
google avatar

Tim H.

Yelp
If you are anywhere in a local non-Starbucks place here it is likely that the delicious pastries are from Macrina. Knowing that the cafe was near by and this was a Macrina bakery also I wanted to check it out as my favorite are the cinnamon rolls. The rolls at this location are different than what I get at my local cafe or PCC but equally delicious and larger! Cafe is small but does have some seating. It's not near much but if you want to experience more than what you typically see at your cafe this is a good place to try. Staff is super friendly and fast!

Yelp
I'm here in Washington visiting my daughter. My flight from SoCal was pretty early so I needed coffee and to get something in my stomach. She said Macrina bakery would fit the bill. We were in an industrial part of town and my daughter pulls into a warehouse parking lot. This was apparently Macrina central. This is where they bake all of their pastry's and ship them out. So the freshest Macrina goodie's are right here. Well played daughter. I judge all coffee shops by the plain black cup of Joe. No creamer, sweetener and certainly no Pumpkin Spice. This was excellent coffee. I also ordered the Ciabatta breakfast sandwich with sausage. This was one of the most delicious breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Good job Macrina from a Californian visiting. Your doing it right. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
This Was my Second visit, during my first Time the Staff was so Friendly and Attentive The Barista offered me a Coffee Card, that I refused in the moment. Surprisingly the Coffee was so Tasty and Delicious with a Grill Cheese Sandwich. So yesterday I came back for the next round and I get the same, the Gentleman reminded me and I asked for a Coffee card was punched twice and the Manager came to me with my Sandwich. I highly recommend the "Grill Cheese Sandwich" Great Friendly Customer Service!

Yelp
Fun visit to the factory store. There are a few parking spaces for restaurant visitors (small compact spots). The items are pretty pricey but tasty. There are a few seasonal items but for the majority its the same ole. I would recommend their bagel and whipped cream cheese! The bagel however wont last beyond a day if you take it home. The cakes are yummy and not too sweet. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood on a weekday morning!

Yelp
Delicious!!! Very friendly workers!! The new go to spot for us! Very cozy little spot.

Yelp
Finest kind! Not only is this an excellent place scratching whatever itchs (in the way of culinary delights), but it's the place to go for much more than baked goods! They have a tremendous menu -- accessible not only by walking through the door (in any one of six different cafes in the greater metropolitan Seattle area), but through DoorDash, any number of other delivery options, and the internet. Customer service is literally unrivaled! They set the standards... and, frankly, in addition to what they sell in the way of food, they should train other corporations in how their employees should regard their customers -- and avoid all the preachy "virtue signaling" in the process! They just do such a great job! Their baked goods are so good, we make a point of having breakfast and coffee here at least once during a business or personal visit to the Seattle area... but, their people are a delight to work with. The coffee is excellent, the service is superlative, and there are just sooooooo many choices that promise to ruin a diet: frankly, their culinary delights are worth walking an extra mile or two. My partner has lived most of her life in the Seattle area and the four cafés that sell Macrina products have become a touchstone for her: living in Whistlestop, Arizona, we make it a "must-do" to stop in one of the now six cafés that are part of the business. The people here at the corporate home office are very easy and pleasant to work with as well, and Johnathan deserves a special thank you and well-done for helping to make this Christmas a special one for my partner, who is an excellent cook in her own right. (Can't specify why, because she might stop in to leave her own Yelp review and I don't want to ruin the surprise!)

Yelp
I loved this place so much. Kind of in a weird location, but once you find it, it's so worth the search. We just wanted some bagels and coffee on a road trip. Zach got a bagel sandwich and I went with a classic bagel and scchhhhmear. You could tell everything was freshly made and yet the service was so friendly and fast. As you can tell by my photo, I had to just dive in, even at the risk of getting cream cheese up my nose. I promise I wasn't trying to snort it, despite how good it was...

Yelp
Picked up 4 pack of ciabatta burger rolls. Less dense and bigger than the usual rolls. Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookie was fantastic, as expected!
google avatar

Bill L.

Yelp
Tucked away in the middle of warehouses in the Kent valley, there is a hidden gem full of the best baked goods a person could have.

M T.

Yelp
Unbelievable! For Thanksgiving dinner, we purchased Porcini Harvest Roll Tray. It is a round tray package of 6 rolls. The first person to take a roll took one bite and spit it out! The rest of the roll was sampled by everyone else at the table. Not one person liked this roll. The person who brought this package of rolls said it was sold with a ribbon tied to it all fancy. So, the eye appeal was there, but not the flavor. A total waste of hard earned money.
google avatar

Karin O.

Yelp
The atmosphere is high volume. Energy up and very bright and friendly. The food is typically amazing but I wish they would under cookie the chocolate chip cookies.
google avatar

Joe E.

Yelp
This is a perfect little spot. I'll start with the service. The first thing that happened when I walked in and said it was my first time was to get personal recommendations on the employees' favorites, and she helped me find the drink and food I wanted. Then there's the food. Oh my god, the food. I can't remember the last time I had a breakfast sandwich so good. My Only note was for them to have their own brand of hot sauce, and lo and behold to the side they had that very thing. No notes, just perfect. Same with the coffee, what a fantastic drink. This place is a must, and I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Jennifer S.

Yelp
Not just pastries and baked goods, they make amazing sandwiches! They close early, but a great stop for lunch and a sweet treat.
google avatar

Teresa M.

Yelp
Definitely love this bakery! They've been on my list for a very long time, but their hours can make it hard to get down there. I've finally had the time to go down there a few times, and I'll keep on coming back as much as possible. Thus far, I walk in for bread and end up getting temped by the pastry case! All of the breads I've had have clearly been fresh baked and baked by an experienced person. Peanut butter cookie?? OOH YES! Kinda totally forgot the fork marks that make a PB cookie a PB cookie, but I forgive them. Large enough that I ate it over 2 sittings and the perfect texture. Black walnut banana bread was also amazing. I don't even like walnuts, but it was calling out to me and I just had to get it. Warmed with a little butter? Mmmhmm. Awesome customer service each time. I was chuckling to myself the first time I came in here because the employee cheerfully said "welcome back!'" as I walked in...he knew. Definitely recommended, can't wait until things go back to normal so I can sit down and get a sandwich here sometime!
google avatar

Olivia C.

Yelp
The almond pinwheel was very good, not overly sweet, and the latte was very tasty. We also got an olivia cookie and it was the perfect combo of chewy and crispy. Interesting industrial area but added to the vibes, would recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
Only opened Monday to Friday space is really nice but parking can be tricky and if you go later in the day alot of their options are limited. Can door dash order for pick up if you have to go later in the day but want to secure your pasties. Space is nice and love the morning roll, bialy sandwich, and their cornetta. Some of my wishes to improve the location served better coffee currently Umbria but would love to see different beans, open on weekends, bialy by itself and not just the sandwich option. A little expensive for the area pastries worth it coffee not so much.

Angela W.

Yelp
OMG BEWARE!!!!! I'm SO DISAPPOINTED! Not only did they give me the WRONG quiche, but it was burnt so badly it was inedible. I was really looking forward to trying this place. Also, you're in an industrial area - no utensils? If people are ordering out, they're probably in an office. They didn't have one item I ordered - why not just cancel the entire order instead of give me the wrong sub-par item? If you order from here, go in - not only to ensure you get the correct item, but that it's not burnt so badly you waste your money. Do better.

Yelp
Our first time visiting this bakery'. My husband saw a IG advertisement of a breakfast sandwich. So off we went to grab the wonderful photographed biscuit. This location has a warehouse next to the bakery retail store. This gave me an added reassurance that all bake goods we were going to overwhelm ourselves in were all freshly made. Not only does Macrina offer a array of breakfast eats, but also cakes and muffins, lunch sandwiches and readymade dinner for families Service: it was great!!! The attendants were friendly and knowledgeable. COVID: the bakery followed the COVID restrictions, with 6ft distanced stickers on the floor to serve as a guide for customers. Food: I got the Carne Sandwich which was tuna salad on a croissant so good. And my hubby got sausage and egg biscuit sandwich. Cuz I'm greedy, I got me a bite and it was so good. And Big!! Quite a mouthful serves warm Are you hoping for the fabulous photos of food? Well, you going to have to wait cuz we INHALED our food. All I have is this...

Arlette R.

Yelp
This place is okay , Their food is honestly not the greatest and their deli was just too big and dry in my opinion .
google avatar

Christine S.

Yelp
This beautiful bakery was a wonderful find on a day when I was deeply let down by the chain Panera. I purchased a slice of quiche which was extremely delicious and cheesey. A little runny but i was ok with that. The flavor was perfect and the crust was light and buttery the way it should be! The squash bread has just enough spice but not too much. The seeds and nuts in it make it extra special. The price for both was also reasonable. Come check this place out and treat yourself!!!

Yelp
After staying at next-door Belltown Court, we walked into Macrina seeking a quick breakfast and hot coffee. As we entered we were greeted with a bakery case decorated with fresh pastries ranging from sweet to savory! But our breakfast of choice was the salmon bagel with chive cream cheese! Coming in at only $8, this was definitely a worthy deal. You can choose from a variety of bagels, and the salmon was fresh (neither slimy nor smelly) and generously portioned. I highly recommend pairing it with the chive CC! I only wish the coffee was a bit stronger, but that could be my fault for getting a single espresso in a 12oz cup.

Rob P.

Yelp
My family loves Macrina! Great ambiance and delicious food. My daughter ordered a hot chocolate and a brioche egg sandwich. I had green tea and a warm morning bun. The staff is friendly and personable. I witnessed a staff members swiftly came from around the counter to one of the tables to help an elderly customer bus her plate. I also noticed that my daughter dropped her fork and napkins when she was bussing her dish and a staff member quickly came to help her. They go above and beyond and are aware of their customers needs.

J W.

Yelp
I got the cinnamon rolls here and they were amazing. Super yummy! Staff is very kind and helpful :) ! You should definitely try

Yelp
Really liked the vibe / environment of this location, felt quaint, friendly and welcoming. There were still a good selection of pastries, baristas were knowledgeable. Location is sort of hidden but glad I came in!

Yelp
Do I want quality baked goods from the source? Um, yes, please! I've been spending more time in the southend since I'm not working downtown anymore. One of the downtown businesses I had been missing is Macrina Bakery. I recently found out they have one in Kent. Yay! Their cafe is right at their manufacturing and distribution center. The hours are a little different from the downtown locations but it makes sense because there aren't many people driving through W Valley Hwy on the weekends. It's hidden from the main road and it's in a business park. A lot of local workers know it's here though because there was a steady flow of customers coming in. They have seating inside but I opted to eat outside since it was nice out. They do have outdoor seating but they don't have umbrellas to shade you from the sun. Since it was around lunch time I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. Beecher's is one of the best local cheese companies around and I'm so glad it's paired with Macrina's sour white. I also ordered the blueberry cheesecake and the barista placed it in a pink box. The pink box is such an iconic container. I learned about it in a documentary on Hulu called The Donut King. You just know if you see someone carrying a pink box there's something sweet and delicious inside. Kent has a lot of land so free parking is such a perk especially when you've been accustomed to the ridiculous fees that Seattle charges. Also, they have such a good selection of baked goods. They don't have a problem with running out of anything since they're right at the facility.

Nan B.

Yelp
I have loved Macrina bakery for decades and wish I lived closer to one. Wait- maybe it's better I don't!
google avatar

Thelma M.

Yelp
I forgot about this location because I I was introduced to Macrina in belltown and that's where I used to work. I was ahead of schedule in my day so I decided to grab lunch because I didn't make it to the grocery store people that chicken pot pie is to die for tasty season chunks of chicken potatoes and vegetables and all baked into a thick bread crust and it's not a big pot pie like your traditional pot pies it may fit into the palm of my hand but it's very Hardy full of flavor and is just enough to keep you full until your next meal. It's Valentine's season so the bakery had a few tasty raspberry treats I purchased a raspberry mousse cake, and yes I ate the whole thing by myself don't judge but it fits in the palm of my hand, crispy feuilletine(a crispy confection made from thin sweetened crepes) popped with Ethereal light as air layers of raspberry mousse and Bavarian cream coated in a raspberry mirror glaze.I purchased a morning glory muffin and apple turnover for later but my dad ate that so I can't give you a review on that but based upon my naked eye and the fact that I'm a baker myself it looked good, their daily soups and they also sell a pint of soup for 1350 their soups are good as well and all I went in for a short Americano I came out 75 bucks later but I'm not complaining as I said before I didn't make it to the grocery store last I grabbed a salad to go and that salad had a blend of spinach arugula olives creamy balsamic vinegar and some the slices of cheese I'm not sure what kind of cheese I just know it was white, and then of course one of their shortbread big valentine heart cookies that I shared with the ladies at the office yes it's an $8 cookie but it is very well worth it and it's big enough for you guys to share with each other so please do that. Another nice seating area outside in front of their little cafe perfect to have lunch with friends or family when the weather gets a little better here in the Seattle area. Signature jellies, cookbooks, aprons, totes, and mugs for sale along with many loaves of bread, their daily soup that changes obviously daily, packages of shortbread cookies, and sometimes they have packages of mini scones I'm not sure if they change amount seasonal but I purchased a pack of four blueberry scones and they were amazing. And it's always nice I say like having a cherry on top of your Sunday when the staff provides good service and with a smile!! And sorry pet lovers no animals allowed, and you can order online for pickup must be placed by noon in 2 days in advance.

Yelp
Genuinely the essence of a hidden gem ! Me and my friends were looking for a new place to meet, catch up and enjoy each other's company. This cafe gave us the feeling of comfort and class that we loved to feel while we were together. It's a perfect place to grab a great pasty, a good coffee and catch up with people ! Staff is so kind and patient, definitely enjoyed the feeling that came from then & the cafe design. Very simple, subtle, yet comforting. Loved the baguette with butter and jam, made me feel like I was eating a tiny tiny version of a regular baguette, but in its whole baguette essence. Asked about the oat milk and was told it was really good... super true! I ordered the roly - poly based off a previous suggestion on their yelp and I didn't regret it !

Cynthia L.

Yelp
Service was slow and unfriendly. I stood in line just waiting to be helped while the guy didn't greet me, didn't look at me and just continued to talk to a friend. The croissant I ordered was raw in the center too! Don't plan on returning based on the service and most importantly raw dough?!!
google avatar

Samantha H.

Yelp
Been enjoying their goods for years! I always enjoy the variety of pastries and lunch items.

Tim S.

Yelp
I love their bread I wish they shipped if you're ever in Seattle go to macrina bakery

Yelp
I needed some cool treats for my friends birthday. I went to the Kent location and found just what I needed! 4 very beautiful fall delights!! They were as good as they look and the service was great!!

Yelp
This outfit in Kent (many other outlets in Seattle) is my go-to for top quality baked goods, light lunch items, espresso, and a favorite for "employee appreciation treats" i do for my coworkers. Its easy to miss the bread selection behind the counters bc the baked goodies are so attractive -- but they have a savory collection back there. Coffee is made fresh, individual batches and feature Umbria brand. The baking operation partially viewable from the store indicates how big the production is -- A must try

Yelp
Ordered a cake week in advance for our anniversary. However the cake was either old or someone messed the recipe because the entire bottom was crumbling and very very dry. We were not able to pull even one whole slice from it. We discarded the bottom and ate only the top part, and I had to apologize all evening for choosing this bakery. I feel disappointed and won't order again. I am giving two stars for having a cake that looked nice.

Yelp
Marina continues to be a favorite bakery. I've had it three times in the few weeks. I had a wonderful apple turnover. It was flaky with an apple filling that was sweet, but not too much. Although I do enjoy sweets. My birthday cake is a lovely chocolate cake from them. I do love this cake, but if I could make one adjustment, then I would reduce the amount of frosting between the layers.
