Thin, lacy-edged smash patties made from whole-cow, dry-aged beef have turned Mac’s into a citywide obsession. Frequently praised by Sauce Magazine and Post-Dispatch critics, it’s a definitive St. Louis burger experience near Forest Park.

First time at Mac's although it be been in the area several times at the next door Hampton Inn. Parking likely will be no issue, but it probably will be too close as you park in the hotel lot. The walk up was free of debris. I noticed they have outdoor seating with a TV. Upon waking in they have a cool local shop with various items. The counter to order is nearby. A menu board makes it easy to decide, but the staff was fantastic and assisted with questions. It's great to see staff so enthusiastic about their job, The dining room and bar are open concept. However they offer a side room that's a bit private and more quiet. The bar seats approximately twenty. They had business, but a tad slower on a weekday before close. Overall Mac's is a burger, fry and shake joint. They offer beef, pork, or both and a veggie variety. They also offer a few rotating salads, but did not have a Cesar I think as interested in. I ordered the most popular double menus the mustard. I also got a salad special chickpea. My wife and son also ordered the double, added fries and chocolate milkshake and Bottle drinks are available, as well as a full bar. They offer complimentary water in the dining room. My chickpea salad pushed out in minutes by a friendly expediter. About 5 minutes later another expediter brought out burgers and shake. Both expediters were very friendly and smiled. Everyone agreed the food was tasty. My salad was refreshing on a warm evening. My son liked his chocolate shake. but if you want a thinner version ask because it comes out very thick. A nice floating staff checked on us and cleared trays. So for me is a 4 to 5 type of place, but the service elevated the experience to a 5. I would recommend and return,

The food was delicious, but for the price you can hit Freddie's for the same burger if you are a pincher of pennies. However my partner did get a garlic sauce for her spicy French fries. I do like the fact I was able to get an endless supply of ketchup. I don't like being restricted to a sauce cup of ketchup you have to ask for multiple of.

If you’re into smashed burgers, this place is awesome! If not, it might not be your top pick. The burgers don’t have a lot of veggies. But the garlic burger is so good, and the food comes out fast. Fries, ice cream, and milkshake are super tasty!

Seriously delicious. The Louie burger was so good. The aioli sauce was amazing. The fries were good, too. Love the atmosphere and the local goods they sell. Will definitely return.

Mac’s is a must-visit destination for anyone who appreciates top-tier food and a welcoming atmosphere. No matter where you’ve been or what burgers you’ve tried, this place raises the bar. The milkshakes are phenomenal, the rip fries are a brilliant and delicious twist, and the entire menu delivers. The Captain is a standout cheeseburger, but you really can’t go wrong with any option. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the environment is perfect for any occasion—whether you’re stopping in for a casual meal, planning a corporate event, or just catching the game. With both indoor and outdoor seating and TVs everywhere you look, you’ll never miss a moment. Mac’s has truly created an experience worth coming back for.

I definitely enjoyed the atmosphere at Mac's Local Eats. The location, parking, chill vibes inside. I really liked all of that. I got the Southside Mac sandwich and Red Hot Riplet fries. Everything was served hot and fresh. Fries were covered in the Red Hot Riplet seasoning, and they were delicious. The beef was good quality.

I visited here on national hamburger day just recently. I was the very first customer of the day so it was very nice to be able to look around and see the place for the very first time. I parked in a 2 hour only parking lot that was just a small walk to the location. The 2 staff members I came in contact with were very nice and very informative about the location and some food as I explained id been wanting to visit for a bit. They have plenty of seating inside and outside. The outside patio im told stays a bit breezy and with the wind that day I could tell it may be a bit chilly on some days with it being only 65-70 degrees. All seating is nice and they have some tvs around. I ordered the split open & melt along with fries and soda. Just a double patty but they show you can add 3 or 4 Patty's if you like. I know their burgers you can try as many Patty's on a burger that you want. Up to 30 Patty's have been added to a burger and eaten by someone here. Next time ill probably do a triple or the 4 patty sandwich because I wanted more it was so good. I should of asked if they could of added an egg like I do at many places with burgers and frisco melts. Sodas for the location are all excel brand that is locally bottles in breeze illinois. I enjoy the root beer. The sandwich was great and their in house sause on it was very unique. The sourdough bread that they use i believe is from a local place. The Patty's were done and the cheese and melted so good together. The sandwich held its shape well thru the whole meal. The fries were good and seasoned nicely. They have alot of beer on tap on the back wall. The location is easy to get too and I think if you visit the science center or the zoo you need to check out this place for a meal to end day. They are both really close with 1 entrance to the science center just a few streets up from the entrance for macs. Sundays they have a special where they have glazed donuts as buns for their burgers. The glazed donuts are from a local donut maker pharaohs donuts. Macs is closed on Monday and Tuesday. I really enjoyed my visit and being the first 1 there that day really made me take it all in better. I enjoy taking the pics for others to see and ill be back on another Wednesday. Some day ill try and get someone to go with me on a sunday to grab the glazed donuts bun burgers. Im also told they sell out pretty quick. My food came out in a nice timely manner as it gave me time to take some of these pics of video. 1 staff member was ready to take my trey as soon as I was done. They have ketchup mustard and napkins over in a corner beside the bar. The overall layout of seating and things to look at is great.

Google
I'm never going to be fully onboard with this smashburger nonsense. A 6 oz beef patty compressed to the thickness of a crepe will always make me feel like I'm getting the short end of the stick. If, and it's a very serious if, there is an exception, then it would probably be the fungus amongous here at Mac's. Is it worth $16? Absolutely not, but it is a pretty damn good burger. I'm glad I tried it, but I'll never go back because I'm simply not wealthy enough. Go pick up some Provel and gourmet mushrooms at Dierberg's and make 4 of them at home for the price of this one.

Yelp
Love Mac's! Went for some food after a gin event and it hit the spot! Since it was between lunch and dinner, there were a few people in but not too busy. Spent some time looking at all the local products on the way to the window to order. I snagged some Ella and Ollie popcorn to take home. At the counter - Chelsea was bright and personable, it makes a big difference for those on the other side of the counter. She answered all my questions and took my order, rang up the popcorn, and I added some local eggs that she kept cold while we waited and ate. She was a treasure! After ordering, you get a number and find a seat to wait for your good. Grab your drink at the soda fountain if that is what you chose and get utensils and condiments at the station there. Didn't wait long and my double pimento cheeseburger arrived along with fries. So good! I love pimento cheese, and it went well with the double burger. I asked for the Hot Sauce Aioli on the side and dipped the burger in for each bite. Before I knew it, I had eaten the whole thing and half the fries! I just had water this time, but they have a great bar, too. Grabbed my eggs and left with some great local stuff from a great local burger place!

Yelp
I've always been a fan of Mac's Local Eats, and I'll say right up front--the burgers are still solid, and the fries remain amazing. They haven't lost their touch when it comes to delivering on the classics. That said, I liked it better back in the Dogtown days. The new spot definitely has more seating (which was always a challenge before), and the staff is fine, but the atmosphere just isn't the same. It's hard to put a finger on--it feels a little more polished, almost corporate, even though I know it's not. There's just some of that original spark missing. The bar could also step it up. Last time I was in, the cocktail selection was basically just canned options, which doesn't really match the great food coming out of the kitchen. Still, if you're looking for one of the best burgers in town and some seriously addictive fries, Mac's delivers. I just miss the character and vibe it had in the Dogtown location.

Yelp
This was my first time at Mac's and from all the hype I been hearing about the place, it did not disappoint one bit. The place very clean and roomie, so if the place was packed you wouldn't feel compacted. The service simple and easy and the staff was very friendly. The Dirty was spicy and delicious and pair nicely with the ripped fries. The milkshake was the cherry on top of the experience. I will be sure to return during happy hour to enjoy their booze selection with more great food.

Yelp
What a hidden gem! I would never thought a gathering place such as this tucked away around here. The burgers were delicious. Slightly spicy but very flavorful. Feel a bit pricey but everything are pricy these days. Took a bit to find the free 2 hours parking, but it's there.

Yelp
Been wantin' to check this place out for quite some time and glad I finally made it. The food was GREAT and the cocktail I had was DELICIOUS! The food came out fast and they seemed to be on top of clearing tables. Ambiance is pretty loud, but not entirely unmanageable. Seems they're geared towards families, and I think that's where some of the noise comes from. One other thing that I wasn't hugely fond of were the prices. I paid $20 for my 3 tacos and $13 for my Vodka Lemonade. So, for only myself, I paid $38.32 for 3 tacos and a cocktail (including service charge, STL City, and MO taxes). Almost $40 (before tip!). And that didn't include a side. I get it that prices are going up, but this just seemed too high for what I got.

Yelp
Self service window with table number adds very casual feel to this open space sports bar. The smash burgers are caramelized goodness. GF available or corn tortillas. Some bar beverages. Great place for all!
google avatar

Drea H.

Yelp
Macs is really good food, the burgers are amazing. Thin patties, lots of cheese and toppings. The other thing is you have to order the fries separate, the sandwich doesn't come with a side. We get blueberry lemonade which is good. They also have a lot of craft beers on tap One of the go-tos! The only reason I rate 4 stars because it closes so early and also you have to order there, with no exceptions, can't be ordered ahead or to go.

Yelp
Another visit to Mac's Local Eats (after the heels trail at Forest Park so a deserved reward!) and went off the rails...nothing normal about my lunch choices this time. I went Fungus Amongus, Chili Crisp Marinated Celery and a Watermelon Lemonade. Everything was AWESOME. Not sure if the fungus amongus is a standard on the menu...if not grab it while it's available. What a flavor bomb! 2 standard beef patties, chestnut mushrooms, pickled peppers and house garlic aioli. I'm probably doing a disservice to Mac in my description as I'm sure the peppers and mushrooms are sourced special but this one is a classic in the making. The chestnut mushrooms (first timer, never had them before) added such a woody flavor and crunch to the burger...great flavor and texture addition. The peppers added a great "pepper zip", and the garlic aioli is awesome. Oops, forgot, provel cheese on top just to add another great flavor element and reason to grab extra napkins. And the marinated celery...wow, crazy good combination of Asian flavors, crispness and spice. Who knew??? Damn! This was soooo good I tried to find a similar recipe online...close but no Chili Crisp Marinated Celery. Next time in I'm going to see if Mac will share any secrets... No beer, watermelon lemonade this time. Get it, so refreshing! Been going to Mac's since the Tamm Avenue days and still finding new gems. Keep up the great work Mac, you have the best burgers in the country!

Yelp
This place is such a treat! The smashburgers and hot ripplet fries are so good. Right now they also have a banana pudding cheesecake that is to die for. The emoloyees were friendly, quick, and helpful. I highly recommend them!
google avatar

Julie A.

Yelp
They put smash burgers on a donut. That's it that's the review. But also...the fries green tomatoes were crispy and they had a fun sauce that I think had red hot riplet seasoning. You can also get fries with red hot riplet seasoning. Of note, it's an a la Carte menu so drink/app/burger/tip was $30. There is a parking lot behind. Not all of us are parallel parking equipped. It's order at the counter. I really love ordering from my table. But-they tell you the tips are split with everyone working which I think is cool.
google avatar

Mollie M.

Yelp
So overpriced!!! You pay for the fries, drinks, and burgers separately. The burgers themselves are small (as pictured in the photo). Definitely not getting what you pay for in terms of price and size. The burger was decent, nothing crazy there. The fries were the intriguing part though! The fries were Ripley's (chips) seasoned which was neat and yummy! Neat place overall too. To Mac's- I recommend if someone is just getting a burger to make it more appealing than just a pinch of the tray taken up by a small burger. Seems defeating and gives the illusion it's not filling.
google avatar

Jordan L.

Yelp
pretty good burgers. i enjoy the many options. the staff might tell you that the a la carte sides are shareable sized (they're not). but they're very kind! love how inviting the place is. dope location. i'll be back for the sunday donut burger:)

Yelp
Well i wanted to like this a lot more. I certainly would come back again but with the knowledge its gonna be expensive, burger wise, and i certainly will get something different. I got the garlic burger that had a ton of cheese. Im not certain if it was the garlic or the cheese or probably the combination of the both but man was it over powering. Overpowering to the point i couldnt finish it. So dont hate me if your an extreme garlic lover maybe I'm just on a different level. But the garlic wirh rhe cheese completly wiped out the taste of the burger. Reality was the flavor and cheese was way to overpowering. On the other hand my wife had a philly burger and it tasted great, really good!
google avatar

K B.

Yelp
I love the locally sourced, whole animal philosophy with nods to St Louis in the cheese choices (Provel) and Riplets fry seasoning. The gooey garlic and classic burgers are great although I was not a fan of the Provel cheese. The fries were also good, but became too salty after eating so much of the riplet seasoning. If I return I would skip the provel and ask for light fry seasoning. Overall I enjoyed my meal, and really appreciated the detailed explanation of everything. I was even given a sample bag of the riplets chips to taste. 7/10
google avatar

Keagan M.

Yelp
This place always hits the spot! You can't go wrong with grabbing a burger and fries from Mac's. They just added a few classic milkshakes too! Mac's location near Forest Park and quick service make this a convenient restaurant to visit after a trip to the Zoo or Science Center. They have ample parking and it's easy to order at the window and sit down at a table or their outdoor patio. My personal favorites are the Classic burger with fries add garlic aioli and the Double Pimento Cheese burger.
google avatar

Mary Z.

Yelp
Mac's Local Eats was a solid, local smash burger place! Although I didn't try to burger, I thought the smash tacos were really good and fries were crunchy. It's really about what I expected, but in a good way! The inside is a casual space with lots of seating and a bar that looked like it had a ton of options. Service was quick as you order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Overall it's definitely worth a try if you like smash burgers!
google avatar

Yelp
Swung by Mac's since it's been years and was looking forward to the meal. The service was amazing. The lady was cordial and friendly. I had the burger, fries and drink and it wasn't bad. It is on the pricier side so keep that in mind. They've got plenty of seating spots so it's a good spot for lunch and dinner.
google avatar

Bonnie L.

Yelp
Plenty of parking in the lot shared with the hotel. Plenty of seats. Order at counter, they give you a number, they bring your food to you. Definitely an amazing burger. It's not greasy! Crispy edges and very tasty. South side Mac. So tasty. Everything well put together. Chili cheese fries. Crispy and tasty. Cole slaw. Not a lot of sauce. Crisp but I prefer more mayo. Lemonade. So good and the watermelon ice cube is such a nice touch. Great and friendly service. Nice shop local store in front. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Blake R.

Yelp
I guess I eat out way too much... Landed here Sunday. I used to enjoy the old MAC's in Dog Town (Tamm Ave) and have only been to this location a few times prior. I may be slightly addicted to the Lumberjack. You get a mix of Beef and Pork Patty's with American & Pepper Jack Cheese, Bacon, and Pickles; so good. You simply cannot skip the Red Hot Ripplet Fries!
google avatar

Zhenya B.

Yelp
We came here today with kids for lunch. We got grilled cheese, kids burger, ultimate garlic burger, patty melt and fries. Food was great! Everyone enjoyed every bite. Service, however, is non existent. And the cashier makes sure to let you know that front and back of the house get tips. One of our kids got food before anyone else. I am ok with both kids getting food before all of us, but this put my other kid in a bad mood right away. I saw another table have multiple kids and same thing happened to them. This makes dinning experience immediately very negative. No one came back to check how was the food. You get your own condiments, drinks, napkins and you expected to clean up after yourself. A server came out once to take trays from us, he also took a tray from my son who was still holding his grilled cheese, he had to finish it off of a napkin. We asked that server for a to go box. He never came back. My husband had to stand next to the kitchen entrance to catch someone's attention to get a box. Needless to say, I am not planning on coming back.

Yelp
My first (long overdue) visit to Mac's did not disappoint. Came in for an earlier dinner pre-show at the Fox. Ordered burgers at the window then found a seat at the bar as we were sans kids. The restaurant is VERY family friendly with lots of games and a well divided bar from main area. We were glad we came in earlier (around 5:45pm on a Friday) as not long after the line got LONG. Our food came out quick and my double cheeseburger was perhaps the best smashburger I've had. Executed to perfection on the softest most delicious bun. 2x ~2oz patties was the perfect size to satisfy without overwhelming. Delicious crispy fries. The bartender recommended a slice of the banana cream pie cheesecake from @pudnpudn and that was an excellent decision. Giant piece of fresh & flavorful indulgence to round out our meal. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Amanda M.

Yelp
I'm sorry but I just don't get the hype! The place was crowded and loud, I stood in line for more than 15 mins to order, & felt rushed while eating due to the crowd circling the tables like sharks. Burger was fine but basically glorified Steak n Shake for twice the price and no fries. Wish there had been an option to add a side of fries to the burger rather than having to add a whole separate order which is too much for one person. I have to assume this is a much better dining experience on a slower night, but wouldn't be my idea to come back here.
google avatar

Elijah R.

Yelp
Easily top 5 burger I've ever had. I should have gotten two and next time I will add the red hot ripplet season on the fries. The burger was perfect lol
google avatar

Bill S.

Yelp
Very, very small thin smashed burgers with limited toppings. Served on wax paper. Mustard out of packets. Soda machine didn't work.Order came out without onions ordered. Decent environment inside, but a bit overpriced and no better than a chain hamburger joint. Mac needs to do something more. We left hungry. Better service, more substantial hamburger toppings ( nicer tomatoes, pickles, etc.). For the price they just don't offer much / and I've been to about every hamburger place in the City.

Yelp
Stopped by on a Sunday Afternoon with my boyfriend and his friend, we walked up to the counter to order and were all greeted by a super nice woman! Everything is made my scratch which was a nice touch. All the burgers and sides were separate making it a little more expensive but I still recommend trying everything out!! The gooey burger is a must try, super good it melted in my mouth, but next time i'm gonna try the ultimate gooey burger!! The vanilla milkshake was super good highly recommend. The Ripped mac and cheese special was good, but it was lighter and more pasta-y than a traditional, rich mac. The french fries were nice and crispy especially dipped in the ripped cheese sauce. All the servers were super cheerful and they even had connect 4 in the outdoor seating area, which had a good vibe (loved the artwork!!)
google avatar

Yelp
Mac's is our favorite Burger place! The beef is the tastiest in St. Louis! My favorite is Gooey Garlic and my husband usually gets the Captain. He loves their Onion Rings too. The new dessert Banana Pudding Cheesecake is amazing! You order your food at the window, across from the front doors, then you sit at a table and they bring your food. You may have to wait in line to order, but they bring the food pretty quick! Self-service soda machine & they have a bar you can order at separately from where you order your food. Parking is shared with the hotel next door, so the lot can be pretty busy when the hotel is full. There is also some street parking. Mac's is a great locally owned place with great people who work there!
google avatar

Kalin K.

Yelp
I think these were the best onion rings I've ever had. Not a single one separated from the breading which maybe was a fluke but I'll take it! Mac's nails the smash burger with a delicious patty that somehow doesn't dry out. I wasn't a fan of the hot sauce aioli on the double pimento burger as it tasted like a lot of vinegar. The friend green tomato fell apart on the burger as well. The gooey garlic burger got rave reviews at the table and the fries were solid. The classic burger is aptly named and is a classic go-to for answering the burger call. The food comes out quickly and service is great! The inside features a lot of wood giving it a backyard grilling party vibe that's very approachable and family friendly. I was surprised to find a full bar inside and will have to go back to check out their drink menu. I will definitely be returning!
google avatar

Yelp
Seriously tasty smash burgers! This place has you covered with creative, delicious options. The burgers are smashed super thin with crispy edges and gooey, melted cheese. They make their food with fresh local ingredients, including a killer mayo that doubles as dipping sauces (try the garlic mayo - YUM). It's a chill vibe and the perfect spot to grab a tasty burger and fries.
google avatar

Yelp
This place was not what I expected. We visited for lunch after a trip to the zoo. We pulled up and it was connected to a hotel. The parking lot was a bit of a tricky turn to get in and out of but it was free. Once we walked inside there was a line and due to the crowd the food was a bit slow to make it to our table. Luckily we were entertained by all the shows on the tvs including Bob Ross. Everyone enjoyed their order. The flavor of my double pimento burger was good yet a tad on the dry side. The kids had fun with the fountain drink flavors. We would stop by again while in the area. The food is not something to make a special trip for.
google avatar

Jaye S.

Yelp
Restaurant is visually pleasing, upon entry. Our order consisted of 1single patty burger, 1 double patty burger , 1 order of fries, 1 soda, and 1 water....total bill was nearly $34.000!!!!! Way overpriced for the food received. Smash burgers were the thinnest I've ever seen---the buns are too thick, over-powering the burger. The toppings (onions, pickles, ketchup, etc) were on the skimpy side, and some were totally left off, even though they were ordered. The fries weren't anything special. Soda machine was turned off...we had to tell someone about that. The burgers were tasty, but skimpy for the prices. We left the restaurant still feeling hungry.
google avatar

Emily S.

Yelp
Back again!! This remains our go to spot and comes highly requested by out of town visitors. The staff is always extremely friendly and quick to make recommendations. While it is a higher price point, it's nice to support local and a business using all local meats, produce, dairy, and more. They also have a gift shop of local products for holiday gifts. My order doesn't really change - gooey garlic add pickles and the rip fries are a must try.

Zane D.

Yelp
The food was good, the fries were even better. They have a nice variety of sodas and it was a very calm atmosphere. I will say it was a little pricey for burgers but nevertheless very good food.
google avatar

Anetra B.

Yelp
Came here bc I wanted a good smash burger. Did not disappoint. The bartender was very informative and allowed me to sample the Riplet seasoning on the chips ... he also made a great lemon drop for me while I waited for my food. If you're in STL... stop by and give them a try.

Zack M.

Yelp
Hands down the best burger and milkshake I've ever had. No question--if you go to Mac's Local Eats, get the Smash Tacos. You get three, and every single one is packed with flavor. I seriously didn't want them to end. The staff there were super friendly too--genuine smiles, helpful when I asked about the menu, and made the whole experience feel welcoming. I also got the ripped onion rings with cheese sauce on the side, plus an order of mac and cheese because I couldn't decide what I was craving more--so I just went all in. To drink, I had the watermelon lemonade (super refreshing) and a strawberry shake that was thick, creamy, and just perfect. Everything I had was amazing, and the friendly vibe from the staff just made it even better. Easily one of my favorite spots to eat in saint louis
google avatar

Yelp
I'm definitely going back! Smash Burgers!!! Place is connected to a hotel. You can use the parking lot in back. No charge. I would recommend going during a slower time or you will be waiting in line for a while. When you walk in you will stand in a line to order. They will give you a number and bring your food out to you. There is a outside area for seating and inside has a huge bar area. Drinks/ soda are the Lucky brand. When you get low you can help yourself to the machine. The staff asked if we needed anything and was always running around cleaning up. Food- Fabulous! Love the bugers and fries. The fries are smaller than a steak fry but bigger than a McDonald fry. They were crispy on the outside. Burger was Great - had a double. Cannot wait to go back with the family!

Yelp
I've been going to Mac's for years now -- from its humble beginnings at Tamm Ave to Bluewood to now their very own brick and mortar -- and it slaps every. single. time! Seriously, I've never had a bad meal or experience here. I usually go for a single or double cheeseburger with rip fries, but my visit today being on a Sunday led me to their weekly donut burger special. Served on a pillowy soft Pharaoh's glazed done (IYKYK), the salty crispy lacy beef patties and gooey melty cheese perfectly complements the sweet richness of the donut. Wow. The service is always friendly and speedy (most days you'll even see Mac himself working the floor) and atmosphere is casual and family friendly. If you're craving smash burgers, Mac's is the place to go!

Yelp
This place is always busy, and despite the amount of people in and out, we got our order in and food served to us very quickly. The burger was really good, and the red hot riplet fries are worth the visit! This place is quite pricy but if you want a good burger I wouldn't let that stop you. They also serve Excel products for soda and I think that's pretty cool too :)

Yelp
Mac's has been on my list forever, since before it had this location, and yet, somehow we always missed going to it. We were going to an event in forest park and I convinced my husband we HAD to try it. I'm so glad we did. We waited in line, which moved pretty quick, but probably-tip - you can order from the bartender if you're sitting at the bar. We will definitely do that next time. My husband got one of the pork burgers and I got one of the seasonals - the fungus amoungus - holy moly. They know how to do the garlic aioli. Their burgers were so tender and loaded. Their fries were cooked a perfect crispy. There's a reason they have such good reviews. Their bar has some awesome beer selections including sours, which made me happy. And service was fantastic the whole time. We will absolutely be back.

Yelp
Mac's has the best burgers in town! I also LOVE how much they highlight local St. Louis brands, like Red Hot Riplets, in their food. When you go: I highly recommend ordering the garlic burger - it will rock your world! They even offer toasted gluten free bread for your burger. Beyond the AWESOME burgers: the service is always fantastic. There is plenty of space to sit, so bring your entire family to enjoy!

Yelp
Been enjoying these burgers since they were on Lemp street tucked away inside a bar. Although the atmosphere hasn't changed much the menu has grown along with the new location. Bit to my disappointment it was lacking in flavor. I got my usual the Captains Burger, a decent 4 patty smash burger with cheese. Now I'm big on burgers there my thing I have on everyday if I could but once my burger starts tasting like burger meat I'm done. Everything about it wasn't there like there forgot to season it almost idk might have been a new cook. I'll give it another chance sometime in the future but for now I'll pass.

Yelp
I've been hearing all about this place and have been dying to try it out. They have a great menu with lots of options for anyone who has any dietary restrictions. The ordering concept is different but works really well for all parties involved. The food - WOW! I ordered the donut burger and was wowed by the all the flavors. It was salty, sweet, perfectly cooked and everything in between. Amazing flavor and a great burger.

Yelp
This is my favorite smash burger restaurant. Not only is the food fresh and fast, they have gluten-free options. You can order a gluten-free bun or their smashed tacos are made with corn flour tortillas. If you love local, this is the place for you. Mac sources as much as he can from local vendors and businesses from food and soda to beer and snacks. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Excellent place to visit for a quick bite or meet up and hangout for awhile. We've come here on both occasions and are always reminded how much we love it. I have the same take away each time that really stands out, the owner is always around helping out and chatting with customers. You know its him by the way he takes his time casually conversating while also tidying the dining room. Everyone working is always friendly and quick to recommend what to try. Smash burgers are truly smash burgers and the menu has a little bit of everything to accommodate anyone's tastes.

Yelp
The moment I went on this places website and read the words "Local, grass-fed, and tallow" I was IN! If you want great burgers without junky ingredients this is your place! The ordering process was kind of a bummer, you have one person taking orders at the front so it kind of takes a while but once we sat down I felt like our food came pretty quickly. We all got The Classic burger which was a 2-3 patty burger with cheese, onion, pickle, ketchup and mustard and we got various sides. My side was the spicy fries which to me were not spicy at all but very flavorfulz. They will give you a free sample of chips with the spice on it to make sure it's in your flavor palette which I appreciated. My daughter and husband also got a side Cesar salad which must have been great because they both ate it all before I could snap a picture. The service was very friendly. I wish we could have tried the bar it looked good and the drink menu was extensive but we were in town for a soccer game so decided to skip the alcohol. The ambience is casual and the seating was pretty comfortable. Overall we really enjoyed it. It would be the first place I would recommend if you wanted a good burger. That's pretty much the only thing they offer beef and pork burgers but they do them very well without all the extra overly processed junk that goes into conventional burgers these days. Price wise...it was pricey for burgers but I will always pay a little extra for QUALITY ingredients!

Yelp
Kinda been sitting on this review because the taste is there, and I debated between 2 and 3 stars. I'll start by saying that I love smash burgers, and I've had Mac's when they were in Tamm Ave Pub, earthbound, and now this location. At this location I just feel like the burgers keep getting smaller, and the prices keep getting higher. The last and final visit, my husband and I each had a very basic and very small burger, fries, and a fountain drink, totaling almost $50 (may have been 45, can't remember exact.) If sustainability and eating local goods is your thing, this is the place to go. In this economy, however, I can't fathom spending that much on a cheeseburger meal that you order from a counter.

Yelp
Burger was very good. I did ask for no cheese but lettuce, onion, mayo and jalapeño. I know lettuce onion and mayo are usually typically toppings for burgers. I paid close to an extra 2.50 for lettuce and jalapeños. Jalapeños were just four or five (does not equal $1) and one lettuce leaf does not equal $1.50. And no break on cost with no cheese. Burger was brought out well before fries. I like to eat my fries first and when the server said fries will be out shortly, was unaware shortly was over ten minutes. My burger was long gone cold. Paid $20 for a 3 patty burger with only lettuce onion mayo jalapeño and fries. Bill was $27 for just that. No drink.

Yelp
Fries were really good. Burger was nice, no complaints. Everything was fresh. It was surprisingly expensive though. We spent about $75 for a family of four. I know it's all local, but it's also just a burger place.
