"Staten Island pub Mac’s Public House, located in a state-designated orange zone, has refused to comply with local COVID-19 regulations as positive cases rise in the area. Instead, the owner has declared the establishment an autonomous zone and continues to operate despite having its liquor license yanked and thousands of dollars in fines levied at the business. The pub appears to be exploiting a loophole by not charging customers for drinks or food and accepting donations instead, the New York Post reports." - Erika Adams
