Mactory Gourmet Mac N Cheese

We were traveling through and spent the night in Manitou Springs. I searched restaurants with high ratings and The Macfactory popped up. A favorite of ours is Lobster Mac-n-Cheese. They had it and several other interesting menu items. The outside of the restaurant is dimly lit and at the end of a small shopping center. We almost missed it. We circled back and found it. We are thrilled that we stopped. Both entrees were AMAZING. We shared the Lobster one and our friend said he wished he had gotten a larger order of the Godfather. All of us were scrapping the bottom of the pans for “just one more bite”. The staff were friendly and professional. Food was served quickly and piping hot. Did I mention how amazing the food was? IMPRESSED!!!

I needed something for dinner and found this in front of my hotel. I was really surprised, the restaurant is kept simple, but good. The food was very great and totally enough. Mac and cheese in various possibilities and sizes. I haven chosen a medium portion and this was almost to much. The waiting time seems a bit longer, when the restaurant is full, but it was okay for me. Next time in the area, I will comeback. I have to try something different from the menu.

We visited from Utah and this is BY FAR the best Mac and cheese I’ve ever had. Everyone was super nice. Raven helped us out. My toddler ate her entire meal faster than I’ve ever seen her eat. We will be coming back for sure.

I found this great place and it kind of bums me out. I am not a Mac and cheese guy. I don't order it. Ever. Anywhere. Now I'm not part of the anti Mac and cheese coalition who wants to eradicate all Mac and cheese.... But my daughter is. So we're visiting from Albuquerque. I'm looking for a place to eat. I gloss right over because I see Mac and cheese but..... I notice they add meat to theirs... That sounds hideous to me. I also see they have a buffalo option.... Combine something I don't care for with something I love..... Now I have to try it. We went in on a Thursday night. A few people ahead of us. We ordered a steak Mac, a Magnificent.... And an Angry Buffalo. Dude. This place rules. My wife and kids liked everything, my daughter who hates Mac and cheese loved it. And my Angry Buffalo is the kind of food I'll fist fight you over, PULL UP. The chicken was so good, they bread it and cook it to where it maintained a crispness from start to finish but it wasn't dry. The noodles were awesome. Nice and baked up top, the cheese tasted good. So back to the beginning, I'm bummed out. I don't live here. I don't get to eat this all the time. But every time I pass thru, this will have to be a place to stop. The woman behind the counter was patient, answered all our questions, super friendly etc. They got the food to us decently quick, dunno what else you could ask for. Go there to make up for all the times I can't!

We were visiting from out of town and my husband found this place for our last dinner in Colorado Springs. I was a little hesitant because my 13 yo son is very particular about Mac and cheese. To make a long story short, he loved it, we all loved it. The lady at the counter was super nice and explained the menu to us and was also very patient with us. I had a hibachi steak bowl and it was very delicious. We’ll definitely be going back to eat here when we go back to visit.

We were passing through and weren’t sure where to have lunch but we googled restaurants in the area and this place had good reviews so we stopped in.. the reviews were accurate, the food is amazing!! We had the Godfather and Birria dishes (both small) and regret not ordering larger sizes because they were so good. The godfather dish was Italian style with amazing flavors and perfect amount of cheese. I’m not usually a Mac n cheese lover, but I wish I lived in the area to go back and try other flavors! Highly recommend if you are in the area!!

The food here is absolutely delicious. When I first came here I got the macaroni and cheese with shrimp, steak, and lobster. I wanted to try their new hibachi menu and I got mines with salmon and shrimp, that is extremely delicious as well.

So impressed with this place. Big portions with a lot of flavor. The homemade cheese sauce is fantastic. I personally tried the steakhouse Mac and loved it. Sweetest staff behind the counter. My kids cleared their plate and we will absolutely be returning.

We were in the Springs for a football game, and were looking for somewhere for lunch. We are so glad we found The Mactory! We had the Lobster Mac and the Seaside Mac. They were so good! The cheese sauce was a perfect consistency and the seafood was all cooked perfectly! I wish there was a Mactory closer to home, but I will be back!

Wow!! So many choices and so good! I'd been wanting to try Mactory so on a very cold afternoon, in need of comfort food, I stopped by. The restaurant is not hard to find, but being in a small strip center on side road, it could be easily overlooked. Parking might be scarce during busy times, but at a little after 1pm on a Wednesday, there was plenty of parking. I went straight to the counter to look at the various menus & order. The young man at the counter, son of the owners, was very friendly and helpful as I tried to decide what to order from the mini delicious sounding items. He suggested that for my first time it might be good to try one of the signature pastas. I said I wanted something with veggies and he pointed out the Garden Grove. After looking it over, I decided to order the small portion which normally comes with your choice of two veggies, but I wanted to add more veggies to it (broccoli, cauliflower, mushrooms, and grilled onions). Since they did not have iced tea, and mostly bottled or canned soft drinks, I opted to have water which I filled for myself around the corner from the counter. It was filtered, cold, and perfect. They told me to have a seat and they would call my name when my food was ready. I sat down and only had a couple of minutes before a young lady brought my food to the table since I was one of the only customers in the restaurant. It looked amazing! (See picture) And it tasted even better. The broccoli and cauliflower were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The mushrooms and onions were also delightfully, seasoned and savory. The veggies were placed in rows across the top of the macaroni and cheese, which had pepper jack added to the normal cheese sauce. Words fail me! It was incredibly delicious. I would be thrilled to be able to make something that tasted this good. I have to admit that this is not a place for someone on a diet. Especially a low-carb diet! But it is not totally unhealthy either. Everything is house-made using fresh ingredients. It is not low-calorie, but it is a substantial meal, even if you order the small portion. Most of the signature pastas come with some kind of meat, protein, but there are vegetarian options as well. I look forward to returning and trying more of the signature pastas or possibly the hibachi rice bowls. And I think my husband will enjoy the tomato sauce on his pasta rather than the cheese.

The Mactory is the best food we've had in Colorado. We order the medium Everytime, and it's ALWAYS worth the price! Service is always fast, and friendly. We ALWAYS look forward to come back, the cravings we have for this place are insane!

We visited between lunch & supper and were the only guests who did not get their food to go during our time here. The establishment was clean. The service was great. And the food... was outstanding (as expected and didn't let me down). Noodles were not overcooked and the cheese melted together perfectly under the toasted breadcrumbs and spices.

This is the most AMAZING and flavorful food we've ever had! We're in town visiting from AZ and today is the second day we've eaten here. Amari, who works up front, helped us figure out what to order and was so helpful and nice. This is a family business and they deserve all the awards for the most awesome food ever! You can eat inside which is nice or you can get it to go. Huge portions and worth the price. This place is truly incredible!

Everyone loves Mac and cheese, but the Mactory has excelled at changing up the fan favorite pasta! We enjoyed the lobster Mac and a build your own with classic sauce and fried chicken. The pasta itself was great but the chicken and lobster were top tier and seasoned well! Employees were super kind and helpful and the shop itself has a funky alternative vibe which we liked. If we ever travel back to the area (all the way from MO) we will def return.

Oh. My. If y'all want to go and get your comfort food on, this is the place. The owners take great pride in their food and it shows. Pretty much everything is made in-house: from their hand cut and breaded chicken, to their assortment of dipping sauces. They make it all. We tried an assortment of their house menu items and all were a hit. We had the Steakhouse, the Pig Out, and the Angry Buffalo. There was also a "build your own" combo ordered. We added some slices of the Texas garlic toast and, let me tell you, that stuff was decadent. A medium was easily 2 meals for us - so excited to have it again tomorrow. This place is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. Tip: don't park in front of the convenience store, they will have you towed. Put on your stretchy pants, and go tuck in to some delicious mac and cheese at this local place.

Heard from a friend that this place was worth the calories so I decided to stop in. I have had a lot of lobster Mac and cheese but this has to be my favorite! I can't imagine a single person eating more than a small in one sitting, but I wouldn't mind having leftovers. The people working were so kind and helpful! I will have a hard time not coming here every day.

Walking up to the building, you know this place is going to absolutely slap. I'd never been before and the woman working came from out of the kitchen and got me exactly what I wanted. I had an idea of what I'd like and she told me the ways to modify it and make it my own. I had to drive an hour away before getting home to eat it and it was still hot and delicious. When I'm back in the area, I'm definitely getting more.

I got the Lobster Mac and cheese, added fried shrimp and Hot Cheetos. The absolute explosion of flavor and how perfectly balanced it was, 1000% makes what I'm currently going through every bit worth it. My body can't handle cheese, yet, here I am. Don't cry for me, this is a decision I made proudly. And will make again.

I've ordered some of their large dishes for work parties and I've ordered dinner from here. Both were really good. The staff are awesome and the food is delicious. If you're a Mac n cheese lover, then ya gotta try this place out!

Mom and pop but, you can't pass this place up! EVERYTHING is homemade!!! My selection from the menu was excellent; I had the steakhouse mac and cheese and added veggies just bc I love veggies! The dish needed nothing extra. I held off on the aioli and a1 because it didn't need it at all!!! Seasoned to perfection!!! The owners are super sweet and the vibe was good. Great music and homie atmosphere!!!

I found this place after reading a review for another Mac and cheese restaurant. The reviewer said to go to Mactory instead. So I did. So many amazing choices. Mia said her favorites were the Steakhouse and the Angry Buffalo. I got the Buffalo. You can see from the pic how creamy it is. Spiral pasta, crunchy fried chicken doused in Buffalo sauce on some cheesy goodness. They made it fresh so it was about a 10-15 wait but I wasn't in a hurry. I got the carrot ginger tumeric juice to go with it and it was more spicy than sweet. This place is a bit of a drive from my house but I can't wait to bring my husband back. I don't eat a lot so the $10 portion was plenty for me. Ambiance is more of a dive but the music had my feet tapping and Mia was an awesome server.

The buffalo chicken and birria mac were both amazing! Service was even better, can't recommend this hidden gem enough!

Our hotel was right next door to this cute little spot. My husband's favorite food is mac and cheese and my favorite food is cheese and this place definitely delivered. We each ordered a different mac n cheese off of their menu, (but you can build your own,) and desserts. I usually have a hard time deciding what to order but the server was so nice and patient even though a line was forming behind us. We sat and listened to the fun music and talked about the posters on the wall celebrating rap legends while we waited. We took our order back to our hotel room and ate so much that we both fell asleep with happy cheese dreams right after.

The food was delicious and fresh. I will definitely be eating there again soon. The service was amazing and she was very happy.

Kind of a hole in the wall place, but with absolutely delicious food. We didn't dine in and opted for take-out, which always comes with the risk of food not being as good as if you're served at the restaurant, but that wasn't a problem here! The food was fresh, heavily flavored, and a good serving size for the price. I got the small bowl of lobster mac which was plenty to fill me up and left nothing to be desired BECAUSE IT WAS SO GOOD. My BF got the steak mac in a middle bowl and it was enough to feed him the following day for lunch. I will be returning, and would recommend this place to everyone!

Had a girls outing in the springs from Denver and so thankful to had stopped here! A lovely lady came out and was so full of energy, she helped us decide what to get and was patient as we struggled because everything sounded good. After having a good laugh she shared that she created all of the recipes and perfected them. It shows how much work and love she has put into her food. All 5 of us could not stop talking about how delicious it was. We all tried different ones and each one was just as amazing as the next. Meat was cooked perfectly, the flavors popped and worked so perfectly together. She allowed any customization or sauces on the sides. It was a great experience and well worth another drive down to the springs.

I didn't get any pictures but honestly it was hard not to dig in right away, The food was delicious and the portions were pretty big so it was a lot! I got a small baria and my boyfriend got a medium steakhouse. I barely finished mine and my boyfriend who eats like a pig could only eat half of the medium. It's easy to get to and everyone seemed nice who worked there. The inside was clean and bright as well. Overall I can't wait to try more!

The picture does not do it justice. I think it looks like slop. But honestly it was pretty good! If you want some warm comfort food this is the place! It was fresh and made to order! The service started off a bit ruff but got better. There's seating inside. The location is a bit of a turnoff especially at night. There's a lot of homeless being rowdy and people standing around...if I went again I would probably order takeout and earlier the better!

I would have never thought of mac and cheese for lunch. My wife was not feeling well and wanted Mac and cheese. So I helped her. A restaurant had Mac and cheese. We had the one with ham and several cheeses. They use spiral noodles which keep more cheese on them. Great bread crumb topping. I recommend this place if you're looking for a meal. They have plenty of toppings like hot dogs (childhood classic). This isn't my mom's kraft Mac and cheese. I would go back if I was in the area.

Tried this place for the first time. I ordered the pig out and my fiance ordered the buffalo chicken Mac n cheese. My meal had pretty good flavor overall, topped with Italian sausage and I think it was spam, and topped with bbq sauce. Flavors went well together and the bbq sauce didn't overwhelm but it didn't wow me. It was a bit greasy. I wouldn't go crazy over this place. Something I would crave after a drunken night. And according to my fiance, my Mac n cheese was better than his. He said the buffalo chicken overpowered everything else and wasn't able to enjoy the meal too much.

One of my must visits when in Colorado Springs! Everything on their menu is fantastic, but my go to is the Angry Buffalo. Every worker we have interacted with has impeccable customer service skills.

Ordered the Godfather and the Magnificent with added pepperoni and bacon. It was so amazing. We got smalls, but they weren't small, there was so much food. The noodles are cooked properly, and the cheese is very cheesy. Thr pepperoni and bacon is top quality and they give a large portion. We also had their shrimp, which was some of the best I've had. I barely drank my drink because I wanted more room for the food, it was so good.

I love the garlic toast and the fact you can build your own mac is 10/10. Would highly recommend to every macorroni lover out there!

Yes. Don't ask any questions just yes. Food is amazing and the customer service is top tier. Atmosphere is chill. Only reason I gave it 4/5 is in my personal opinion bread should come with each Mac but I respect the hustle.

I have driven by this restaurant a handful of times and I had a chance to stop in today. Oh my goodness, I will be back! Ordered take-out because i needed to get home for an appointment but when i got home and tasted my made from scratch chili-mac, i was blown away. The mac n cheese was so tasty, and the chili was excellent. I ate the whole side of fries on the way home and they were great - hot, lightly seasoned, and very good. Perfect portion size as well. You have got to try this place. And, let's talk about service. The young lady who took my order had exceptional hospitality, walked me through the menu, and was absolutely delightful to work with. She alone would be reason to go back as that level of friendliness and service is sorely lacking these days. Final thought, you owe it to yourself to check this place out. You will not be sorry.

The birria Mac and cheese was incredible- much more topping and flavor than I had expected. I think they're cooking to order so it does take a minute but it's very much worth it.

Great experience checking out the Mactory. We all tried something different and enjoyed the various options. Portion sizes are rather large, the average adult could probably be content with a small.

From start to finish this was a 10/10. The customer service was amazing and the lady at the front was SO helpful. She was patient and gave us recommendations. The food was so good and their homemade dessert (specifically the key lime pie) is to die for! The vibe was causal and you can tell a lot of love goes into everything here. Would definitely come back again and tell all my friends about it!

Found this gem while visiting Colorado for the weekend. We were in the mood for something warm and hardy given the rainy weather. This place definitely delivered. The only way I can describe the food is a hybrid method offering the customization of chipotle but with macaroni and cheese. There's tons of cheese variations and toppings, with suggested pairings or DIY options. We ordered the Birria Mac that came with cilantro and diced onion and the Porterhouse Mac that was tender steak bits with crispy onion. Added a side of Texas toast that had a delicious crunch to it with tasty Italian seasoning, plus a side of fries. The fries were over seasoned but everything else was perfect. The staff was really helpful, didn't make us feel rushed whatsoever, and came to check on us after our food came. Interior has hip, colorful murals across the walls. Parking was a breeze too, although most people seem to order in and pick up.

Delicious, we have had the buffalo chicken and birria and both were sooo good ! Staff is nice and helpful with the menus. Will be back !

The best Mac and cheese I have had in my life! I was extremely impressed with the menu and selection. They did a great job spicing up a very basic food item into something extraordinary. I will definitely come back for some more.

Delicious food with served in large portions and wonderfully friendly/helpful stuff. I love the Birria Mac with Alfredo! The cheesecakes are also fire.

Mactory is the best! This is one of mine and my boyfriend's all time favorite food. He and I usually always get the same thing, and they have been amazing and consistent every single time. We usually order online and pick up in store, and their staff is always welcoming and provides amazing service. This last time we ordered we got the Oreo cheesecake, which we will be getting from here on out :) Also, the baked on cheese is the best part

Not my 1st time here but went with the Medium Birria Fries and Medium Birria Mac and everything was delicious. I was thinking my fries would get soggy but that wasn't the case at all. It was nice and clean and the music was a plus. I'll be back again as the service was good as well

This place is so good! We ordered a lobster Mac and a samurai (teriyaki chicken mac) and they were amazing. The employee who helped us was super nice and helpful. Can't wait to go back and try more of the Mac and cheese
