Typical department store, similar to Myer or David Jones in Australia. Large variety of goods, from fashion for all ages to home goods to beauty products to furniture, they have a decent amount to browse and select. Mid price range. There's also a Starbucks in store here. Free wifi available. Restroom also available.

When ordering online, I have never had a problem with Macy's and very satisfied with their service. But my instore experience was completely different. A friend had sent me a gift of two shirts for my birthday but they were the wrong size. The shirts were individually wrapped and had Macy's tags on them. However, the package I received did not have a receipt in the package although it did come in a Macy's bag. I went to the floor where they had the same shirts and I picked out two that were the same, but the correct size and was just thinking I could exchange them. I was in the Men's Department and didn't know if they could handle this or if I needed to go to the Returns Department. I asked someone walking around with a Macy's ID and they said I could just exchange here in the Men's Department. When I spoke to the cashier, I told her my entire story; that it was a gift, there was no gift receipt or any receipt and I wanted to exchange for the correct size. Despite telling her all of this, she asked me if I had been charged for these shirts. I again told her they were a gift. Despite me telling her there was NO receipt of any kind in the package, she kept asking me for the receipt. For a minute, I thought this was one of those shows and I was being filmed. I literally told her there was no receipt or any paperwork that came in the packaging and she kept asking me for a receipt. The shirts were in individually sealed wrapping and had Macy's tags but she couldn't help me. I told her someone on the floor told me I could exchange them with this cashier and she wanted to know who the person was. I told her it was a young man but didn't know the name. Similar to the receipt, she kept wanting to know the person's name and I kept telling her I didn't know the person's name. She finally instructed me to go down one floor to the returns department. When I was helped at this desk, I went through the same process all over again. I told them it was a gift, there was NO receipt, and I just wanted to exchange for the proper size. Again, no sooner did I say there was no receipt I was asked for the receipt. Then I was told there was nothing she could do. I told her the person upstairs said to come downstairs and that the return desk had more knowledge about how to look this up. Like the lady upstairs, this person wanted a name. I told her I had no idea but there is only one cashier working the Men's Department so perhaps she would know? I have no idea why I am supposed to know the names of the people who work at Macy's. Finally, they brought over a supervisor. I had to go through the whole story again, and repeatedly asked about the receipt that I must have mentioned no less than 12 times that I never had as nothing came in the packaging. Finally, the supervisor was able to find the information necessary and was able to exchange the shirts. There is a sign right at the counter that says "Easy returns" and under it: "You don't have any proof of purchase: No problem!" Well, clearly it was a HUGE problem so I completely disagree with this advertisement. Again, these shirts had Macy's tags and the package came with absolutely no documentation of any sort, not even a gift receipt. I had to go through four people to get this "No problem" help. With this kind of aggravation, I would avoid this store. Maybe other Macy's are better. Again, online shopping I have never had a problem. If I had stopped at either of the first three people, I never would have resolved this problem. It's a shame that I had to persist in going higher until someone actually would help. In the meantime, the employees gave me looks of annoyance... until the supervisor resolved the issue.

Macys is always a nicely laid out store with variety of high end to medium end options.

Do not go to the older lady working upstairs in the men’s department for assistance. Her badge says she’s been there 15 plus years but had no clue. It was extremely frustrating to travel over an hour to this store only to be told she could not manually type in my gift card since the bar code was faded and couldn’t scan. She also tried to charge me a shipping fee since I didn’t have a Macy’s credit card. I ended being able to place the order myself and got free shipping online. Signed frustrated customer.

A huge shout out to Merci in the jewelry department. I shop regularly at Macy’s jewelry department and always enjoy seeing Merci. She’s such a pleasure to work with; kind, attentive, and professional. Recently, I thought I had lost one of my shopping bags, and both Merci and Alden went above and beyond to help me find it. They truly went the extra mile with such empathy and care, making sure I was taken care of from start to finish. I’m so grateful for their help and the genuine kindness they showed. It’s employees like Merci and Alden who make shopping at Macy’s such a wonderful experience! Thank you both!

I found the outfit for Christmas, the employees were really helpful and nice, I was looking for black boots 👢 and the women working there help me with my sizes and thanks to that I could find the right ones

My wife and I were waiting on our car to be serviced so we went shopping at Macy's. It was a good experience, my wife found a few garments that she wanted. They were having a 30% off sale so that was good. Anytime you can save some money is a good time. We have shopped here before and will continue to.

Yelp
After Christmas sales were not as fantastic as in prior years. Stop #2 Macy's. Why Macy's is a high volume store with an assortment of goods - clothing, shoes, Christmas items, linens, luggage, etc., I did not find anything I could not live with. Not sure it is a factor of getting older and wiser, but being the first the purchase a holiday trinket or buying something only because it is 75% off is no longer a draw for me. During normal times, to find Macy's representatives is difficult. However, during the holiday season it feels like there is 2-3 representatives on the entire floor. I did see not anything of interest to wait in a long, long line. So I aborted my after Christmas sale spree altogether. Since Macy's now has a Starbuck's I thought of getting some coffee. However, the line looked long. So I exited stage left...

Great selection. Great service, and good value! I found some gorgeous outfits and beautiful coats.

Yelp
I do not come to the Domain nearly enough. Here, Macy's included, is where I feel like I'm a world away from the busy/aggressive nature of the rest of Austin. This Macy's is a little different from the one in Barton Creek, where their sale items are intentionally marked and very organized. There aren't things flung about the floor as with other Macy's, but the staff isn't particularly warm or happy to be at work it seems. Still, I bought some amazing sandals for $12 on a whim. And customer service was gracious enough to let me return a jewelry piece 8 days past the 30 day return window.

Ramona A.

Yelp
Even on her first day, Emily In the men's department was confident, patient, and made shopping a breeze. I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I think the only good thing about this Macy is that I was there early enough to find good parking. Walk in and I'm immediately greeted by what I can only think of as, pounding headache of perfume. They must pump that in through the vents. If you're going to perfume us to death, try not using old lady perfume. Something more pleasant, or better yet, nothing at all. Let's agree no on chemicals. Clearance racks. Just piled on the racks. They have jeans, shorts, tops, skirts all sizes, all types, no organization of sizes. I've been in Salvation Army stores that are better than these 4 clearance racks. The whole bottom floor is women's and makeup, where are your women's lingerie? On the 2nd floor with men's clothing. How does that make any sense? All your women's items are on the 1st floor. Escalator is broken, use the elevator. Go up the elevator and it's men's and housewares. The very back corner is women's lingerie. Awesome. Fit what I'm looking for, but I'd like to try it on first. No fitting rooms. Go all the way back down the elevator, to try them on, and they don't fit. As if I'm going back up across the whole store to the back corner again, to find a larger size. Have a nice day. I'll try Dillards next door. I can't even make this up.

Yelp
June 22, at approximately 5:45pm. Basically they treat everyone like a criminal!!! I was upstairs and checked out for a baby shower items, I asked for an additional small bag, she didn't have any. Went downstairs to ask for a small big, the cashier said she had to ask. I was like I already purchased my items. What's the big deal? I understand thieves, but the loyal paying customers shouldn't be treated that way. I went to customer service and spoke with a young manager guy (African American) he was counting money and seemed very detached and disinterested in my offense. I am highly disappointed. (It's just a bag)! This is why I shop more at Kohl's and Neiman Marcus. Macy's might get my money once every other year. After today see in you in 2026!! I'm considering returning my baby shower items!!!

Yelp
Good customer service and selection, nice location and easy to find parking. Higher end items and other brands too.

Yelp
I got a blazer here, but as I went to go check out, the sales associate manipulated me into signing up for a credit card! I eventually went for the rewards card, which I got, but then deleted. The associate told me that I would get a discount on my purchases, but then proceeded to tell me that my blazer would not get a discount because it was already discounted. So even though she's a good saleswoman, I don't appreciate the deception here. The prices here are extremely expensive and I understand that, for a department store. But even still, the outlet mall or JCPenney's is a better place to shop. The blazer ended up being too large and short (Though this is my fault, not theres), I'll be returning this.

Yelp
Dropped into Macy's Dept. store trying to find a gift for my 78 year old Father in Law. He loves to smell good for the ladies. It's been a while since I've shopped in Macy's (at least 6 months ago). Since Covid19, things have truly changed up a bit. The fragrance shelves are not stocked or stacked as deeply as they use to be. Looks like the store is being mindful of its product inventory. I was met by Melina, a lovely sales associate. She was very patient with me as I communicated back and forth with my wife on what type of smell good her Dad might like. I must point out, as more customers started to come up to the counter around us, Melina immediately directed other sales associates to tend to their needs. She was "On It". She showed me lots of gift sets, compared prices, checked for discounts, etc... So we chose a scent, "Michael Kors - Bold Back". I received a 15% discount and $10 store credit off my next purchase. Not bad for a days work of shopping. My shopping experience with Melina was amazing. She was the absolute professional, she shared with me a little bit about her self, and I just wanted to hug her. I absolutely love her energy. I will definitely return to shop for more items with her. Thank you Melina for making my experience that today memorable. Michael C.

Yelp
This is a review for Dennis, in the men's department. We came into the store on a Saturday, around 5 PM, and it was super busy. (The Domain? Busy on a Saturday? Duh. Should've known better - ha). Dennis was working at the cash register and when we asked for help in the suit department, he immediately came to our assistance. Dennis was patient, educated my husband on the different brands and fits to find the best one (no tailoring needed!), and helped us find exactly what we were looking for. Not to mention he stayed late to support us! Thank you, Dennis! (Also - if anyone at Macy's reads this...I couldn't figure out how to leave a positive associate review on your website or by finding the store manager's info so...please share :). Thank you!)

Yelp
Sadly this location was a disappointment. Stopped by to purchase some essentials for hubby and the mens section was a disaster. The very small mens intimates area was atrocious - a few items sparsely placed in empty shelves. The store purchasing manager(s) needs to do a better job at maintaining a decent inventory on hand. Overall the men's section is mediocre - what a shame. The womens section, while slightly better is nothing to rave about. The apparel section is blah - very dull. I actually spotted a tie dye sequin jogger suit on display - yikes. You might find some decent items in the womens shoe department. We left the store empty handed. I do hope this location improves its overall inventory considering it's situated in The Domain. I do not recommend.

Yelp
We went to Macy's in Barton Creek Square Mall for Black Friday. We had a sectional in mind that we had been wanting to purchase and were ready to buy it. We went through the whole process of opening a Macy's card, setting up a delivery date and walked out excited to get our new furniture in just 3 weeks. We confirmed this couch was in stock. Our delivery date was set to Dec. 6. On Dec 5 we cleared our living room, removing the current couch and arm chair that occupied the space where the new sectional sofa would go. Half way through Dec 6, my husband called Macy's to see if they had an ETA for the delivery. They informed him they had no such purchase on record. We had a reservation number, salescheck number and delivery date on what we thought was a sales receipt and they could not locate it. It turns out, the sales person, Debbie, never finalized the sale!! And now the couch is on BACKORDER UNTIL MARCH! We now have no furniture in our living room - no furniture for Christmas, no furniture for New Year's- No furniture for just being at home to hang out and watch TV. The only compensation they provided was $100 off the sale price. NOTHING ELSE! When Debbie called me a few days after she just kept saying, I don't know how this could happen-It happened because SHE did not complete the job! There was NO accountability on her part-NO apology just a call to say she was making sure I got my $100!! This has us BEYOND frustrated! We are so disappointed in the lack of customer service and just the lack of concern for this. We really thought Macy's was better than this.

Yelp
Just used your restroom and it was the grosses bathroom I have used in a while . Last time was dirty 6st! To top it off it had no hand soap
google avatar

Clint M.

Yelp
Store a little dirty, hard to find something good. Line at dressing rooms, some where closed for some reason. Lots of clothes on floor laying all over the place. Looks like someone just walked through and threw them on the ground but they didn't, they were just laying everywhere on the floor and you had to walk on them just to get around.

Chau N.

Yelp
Macy's ok department store, Macy's a good place to buy bc of sales and Macy rewards but good luck having an employee help you find anything. I Needed a Suit, had to try everything out myself. At Men's Wearhouse (little more expensive) their employees actually measure your body (waistline, neck, etc.), but guess thats the tradeoff for having lower prices. Again, Macy's is great, only if you already know your clothing size and dont need anyone to help you.
google avatar

Scott H.

Yelp
Nice store when you walk in. Prices are not affordable for most middle class shoppers. Had to use their restrooms and wow. Is this Walmart? Horrible area, go next door to Dicks, lol.
google avatar

Ps N.

Yelp
Please stop marking your racks as 40% off etc when there's actually no sale. It's frustrating for a customer to navigate multiple items which are marked at sale but eventually are being sold at full price.
google avatar

Brett J.

Yelp
I have to say things have only gotten worse since my last visit. How is it that Macy's is even still open. We came to look for clothes for my boys. They were right next to where we were so against my better judgement we stopped in as we were running out of shopping time. We needed nice clothes. What a mistake coming here. The selection was terrible! The department was a disaster with stuff just tossed everywhere and there was not a soul in sight to get help from! We ended up finding a suit coat for my oldest and then a shirt... but what a struggle to find even that!! What a complete joke! I really will not waste my time coming here again.

Yelp
I've shopped at Macys for many years and for the first time i actually received the worst service this afternoon. i walked in on a rainy day to pickup a paid order which i had my order confirmation for on my phone. little did i know you had to also have your id for pickup which it doesn't mention on your online order. upon arriving i was greeted by a nice customer service rep and while she was picking up my order another associate named Janie decided to put her two cents in and rudely got involved. i mentioned i had my order confirmation on my phone and than scolded me as to why i didn't have a photograph of my license on my phone. i apologized but she began to lecture me on why i needed my id and told me she wasn't going to release my package to me. not only was she unprofessional and sarcastic down to eye rolls. i've worked in luxury at the Domain for over 10 years and have never experienced this horrible level of customer service. i returned later after work and instead of welcomed back in while i waited for a manger to assist me she ignored me and while i was waiting another client said i'm sorry you're next and Janie looked and her and said don't worry someone else is helping him. i was greeted by a sweet manager on duty and explained why i was unhappy with the service i received. after finishing up with the manager i went over to the watches and purchased a $400 watch featured below. the gentleman gave exceptional service. as for Janie i would highly recommend more training on selling service skills for her, if you plan to keep her employed there. after this experience i hope i don't have to deal with her again.

Yelp
I stopped by the Macy's store at the Domain the other day and Sara in the Women's department was very sweet. She is one of the reasons why this store is still in business to begin with. I sincerely hope the management appreciates the employees like her.

Sandra G.

Yelp
The junior area is almost always bad, clothes on the floor, just blah! Bad customer service! Upstairs is much more better! Fragrance and cosmetics area can be a challenge!

Yelp
Macy's used to be my go-to and it's gone downhill FAST. No wonder they're all failing. Customer service here is awful. Purchased an item that was apparently final sale. There's no sticker or anything on the tag, it wasn't on a "final sales" rack, and worse, there was no mention of it from the person checking me out. Usually they say "this is final sale - is that okay"? I would have said no and put it back! I only found out it was final sale when I tried to return it at Lakeline. The only way for me to know this is final sale is by the presence of "A#" next to the item on the receipt - is this supposed to be enough information for the customer to see this is final sale? So I called Domain, manager on duty said she could give me store credit - fine. Drive all the way down there, and a different manager on duty says she can't do it. Told me to read my receipt. So beyond the selection of clothes and DISGUSTING changing rooms, my beef is that TWO employees have failed to give me accurate or helpful information and now I am stuck with a shirt I don't want or need. No compassion, no offer to make it better, not even an offer to speak with the two employees involved in this mess. Megan, the manager, was rude, dismissive and repeatedly told me to "read the return policy". At one point she literally suggested I kneel down and read the placards on the front of the check out counter. Screw this place. Might cancel my Macys card after holding out for so long...

Yelp
There is nothing better than a sale. I lied if there is a sale and then additional percent taken off on top of the sale omg!! I just found heaven! Shoe department come home with me. Visiting this store on a weekend getaway to Austin and I had no plans to shop but I can not pass these great prices! Shoes marked down from 69.99 to $35 on the box to 23.99 at the register. This made me go searching for more deals! Tip: always use price scanners if available. Sometimes the price you see is not the price you pay and it worked in my favor today! Got a nice pair of shoes and jacket at 60% off . The store itself is clean and organized. I will be coming back and I don't live in Austin!
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
I don't know what the answer is for Macy's (and other big department stores). I found some shoes I liked and wanted to get them in my size. But lo, nobody was working anywhere near the shoe section. Several other guys were also hoping to find someone to get their size. After a few minutes I left and bought shoes at Clark's. I always look at department stores first for shoes and clothes, but there's just no point anymore. Nobody's working there, the selections are sparse, and, as my son noted, the perfume area reeks from way too many sample sprays. Hey Macy's--people can't buy your stuff if there's nobody there to sell it to them.

Yelp
Every time I go into this Macys I feel as if I'm being watched but at the same time I don't get the friendly welcoming as some other people, until I walk up to rhe counter and pull out my Macys card to pay.. I'm really thinking about discontinuing my macys card and start to use Dillards or Nordstrom.. Never feel welcome in Macys, maybe they need to hire some minorities who aren't afraid to engage the black consumer.. Not sure why I continue to spend my hard earn money there..

Yelp
I have shopped at Macy's for years and this one is a sorry excuse. The selection in various departments is limited and unorganized. Also, good luck finding help if you need it. Shop online. It will be less of a headache.

Yelp
we have been living nearby since more than a decade and coming to this store every now and then. This Father's Day we took my husband to buy a watch. we took about 10 mins at a counter then went to another to consider a Bulova another. we convinced my husband for a more costly watch and came back to a counter, and no body helped us for easily about 25 mins. the lady on the next counter (who had helped us first) eventually came, asked us clearly are you planning on buying or will you just look and buy online? because I'd rather help a million other people interested who might buy right now. we were shocked and kept looking. we asked again will you help us to at least look at it, and she said No, I'm sorry you are too rude and I'm not helping you. walked away in the most rude manner. The lady literally ruined fathers day for us!!! we walked away spending 2 hours without getting to take a look at the watch. i know they are understaffed but this behavior was Horrible and by no means justified. maybe Macy's is just being racist and doesn't care about others because their employees would rather help those who "Look" like they will buy something! I'm truly disappointed!

Yelp
This store is ok. Generally hard to find anything here, I think it's shopped at a lot. Still a decent store. Every now and then I find something awesome in my size. I think that's the problem, all the good stuff get bought up quickly.

Yelp
I don't have it in me to write as long a review as is needed here, so I'll try to sum it up in 4 brief points. 1. The selection was severely lacking. 2. When we had trouble finding something in the maze that is this store, the employee we spoke with had no idea how to help us. Why don't the employees know where the product is??? 3. The only person at the makeup counter was a Macy's employee with a key to the counter. This may have been because we were there 2 hours before closing, so this may be updated later. 4. Sheryl at the customer service counter (also wanted to make a payment on the Macy's card while we were there) hates her job and takes it out on customers. The man she helped before us was treated like a dumb 7 year old who couldn't follow instructions and when she got to us, she acted like any question we asked was completely absurd and we were idiots for asking. Sheryl was really the cherry on the sundae for us today. It was bad enough dealing with the other b.s. while shopping, but then to be treated so poorly while attempting you give you my money?!?! I don't think so, Sheryl.

Yelp
Bought several pairs of shoes. The male cashier told me he needs to go home, so he rushed to scan my boxes and didn't check if there are shoes in the boxes. When I got the home, I found there is only left shoe in the every box. Very annoying! Also he just scanned my two boxes and went away to help others. And I have more boxes need to scan. I was standing in front of the check out desk and wondering what happened. --------------------------------------------------------- Got back to get right foot shoes back in the other day. A different assistant helped me and gave 10% off for all the hassles I had.

Yelp
I love Macy's for wardrobe updating and gifting. But this store always has some sort of issue when I shop. When I need something and can't find it or the style I'm looking for, I always get the same answer from an employee. "You should probably visit our larger store's, this is a small store." Really? This store looks pretty fucking big enough to me! OK, Fine! I'll go to the Barton Creek location. It's actually a better store but halfway across town. The Domain location is literally a mile from where I live. I need to relax. I just want my damn new Bostonian shoes from this store. Now!

Yelp
Terrible Macy's that we have been to. A few weeks ago, my husband was in search of some nice dress shoes. Of course, we had to go to Macy's to check their selection. When we got to the men's shoe department we noticed that there was no one there to help us. We waited for about 5-8 minutes looking at shoes hoping to catch someone, but I physically had to walk across the store to find someone in the ladies section to help us. She literally came over to the shoe department got the size we wanted & quickly sped back to her department. We still had other shoes we wanted to try & she did not look very pleased when she had to leave her department. We are very disappointed in the customer service & lack of acknowledgement the employees have for any guests in the store. I'm surprised they still continue to stay open.

Yelp
Gotta love Macys! A little pricey but this is my "go to" for some jazzy gear for a special event or a good ol GNO! I can always find a nice button up for the hubby and a hip shirt for the teen! One stop shop! The home goods section isn't my cup of tea.. I would rather go to Kohls or Ross and get the same things for a fraction of the cost!

Yelp
Have you been in a Macy's lately, don't go. My wife needed some new summer clothing for a trip to Florida. You would think that would not be a problem during March in Texas. We arrived about 10 minutes after opening, found, and heard employees all over the store. One thing we know they weren't doing, straightening out the merchandise. The place was in completely chaos. It looked like a teenager's dorm room during the first semester. You couldn't find anything. Almost every rack looked like a sale/clearance rack with no order whatsoever. The tables were a bit better but it was still very difficult to find sizes. Only one employee spoke to us during the 30+ minutes we were there. "Need help finding your size ma'm?" "Yes, I found just these, but there is a black stain on the cuffs." She replied, "that's just dust", and walked away. We did hear someone say that they are not going to put up with that, or I'll go to work at Dilliard's. Wonder why their sales are down.

Yelp
This is one of the better stores. It's not the largest or the fanciest. The people that I've come across, however, while shopping here have been great. For example, when I was there with my wife for holiday shopping, the clerk at checkout tended to all the customers in line with just the right amount of care and attention. I know you know what I mean by just the right amount because too much attention to the guy in front of you means longer time on your feet. And we don't want that. In any case, the merchandise isn't so different and you won't find a person to assist you in every corner but it has enough for you to get something.

Yelp
Today my gal and I went to Macy's to look for a dress suit for a upcoming wedding. We were helped by Alden in the men's department for the search for a tall skinny guy suit. She was ultra helpful and informative in looking and finding exactly that. She also went the extra yard to up sell us a belt in addition to the jacket and pants. We liked her so much we decided to get a Macy's card too for our random pop ins to the store a few times a year. Kudos to her and recommend her service at this location.

Yelp
Watch out for false advertising..... came in looking for a gift. I couldn't find what I was looking for so I decided to go look for something for myself... I found a jacket on the clearance rack and the price was marked out with a marker and I couldn't tell what the price was... I took it to the cashiers and they say they couldn't tell me the price and ask me where I got it from. I showed them where I got it from and they even look around to see if there was another one which there wasn't. They said take it to costumer service they'll be able to help you there. When I go to costumer service they tell me the same thing. The lady that was helping me said the jacket was out of season maybe been there for so long .. so they call Julie which seem to be the manager. She said I couldn't buy the jacket because they couldn't sell it to me for the price that was ringing up for.. Julie proceed to say they can do 70 % off of its original price ... I said but the jacket it's already reduce and it was in a 60-70% so why would I pay for a price that the jacket it's not ringing up for.. she went ahead and say well I can't sell it to you for that price . I told that that false advertising because the reduce jacket was already reduced and it was in a clearance rack with a sign stating 60-70 off and there other items that was reduce so is not like the jacket was placed there. She went ahead and say sorry I can't sell it to you for what's ringing up do you want to buy for the price we are giving you yes or no . I said no and left the store... I call the store while I was in the parking lot to speak to a manager they put me on hold and it waited for 10 minutes no one pick up so I decided to hang up. I call again but my calls weren't going through anymore I call from a different phone and my call finally went through. I do not if they block my number but when I asked for the gm they said it was Julie so I do not know if she knew it was me the one calling to report the problems or if the blocked my number . Never coming back here and canceling my Macy's credit card.

Yelp
I'm a big fan of this store. I especially love that it hosts fun community events. Recently D. and I attended a culinary event and book signing of a chef held on a Saturday in the second floor home area. Chef Anthony Lamas and his recipes from his Southern Heat cookbook were featured. Macy's put on such a good production! There were televisions to show an overhead shot of the food being prepared, really good audio, and the audience members got to taste samples of the dishes being made. AND we got a $10 gift card just for showing up (EACH, guys, EACH!). Mr. Lamas signed comped copies of his books if you showed a receipt of $40 worth of home goods -- we got two copies, one to give as a gift. This store is always clean, and the staff are moderately helpful. While parking here sucks, you should give this place a shot -- especially for its next free event!

Yelp
I have been buying Estée Lauder foundation for eleven years now. I visited the Macy's location at the Domain this morning and I have never had such excellent customer service as I did today. A woman by the name of Mays helped me find exactly what I needed. She was very kind and helpful. Truly a great experience.

Yelp
Macy's EPIC FAIL during the Christmas shopping season. ONE, count them,1 person working in the men's shoe area. The poor guy was getting his butt kicked with no help in sight. There was Other register nearby with no working it. He was trying to do sales and ring up customers all at the same time. During the holiday season, especially this close to Christmas every department should be fully staffed. Come on Macy's you can do better.

Yelp
The associates are friendly but I can find far more extensive jewelry selection and at better prices on ebay. I used to love shopping at Foley's before they took it over and removed most brands. I could find anything I wanted. Surprised this is the 'upscale' shopping district. Somebody lost a lot of money constructing this place.

Yelp
Don't shop here anymore. They send you coupons that you can never use! I have found the staff at this location not very friendly at all!! Will drive to Belk in Dallas for better deals and much larger designer clothing selections.

Yelp
Macys is such a dump its seriously worse than wal mart. I do not care to pay full retail prices (with bogus coupon promos that include a non-eligible list longer than the brands the store actually sells) and who would enjoy shopping in this kind of mess that looks like a tornado just wiped it out? I am so insulted by this - and yet it is like this day after day, year after year. Macys clearly doesn't hire enough staff - which is why nothing ever gets put away - and one has to hike the entire length of the floor to find one sales person willing to ring you up! Its clear the corporate macys executives dont shop here. I sure wish they would roll in to town unannounced and do something about their image. Here, I took some pictures for your enjoyment today. Pictures speak a thousand words. This is what it looks like all the time. Cant find a thing, I think the salvation army is more organized. There are not enough words to describe how much i loathe shopping at Macys in Austin. This is for the Domain location but really Lakeline and Barton Creek are the same big eyesore/ headache. Waste of time.

Yelp
I just blew $100 (in gift cards) on makeup because I don't like any of their clothes, shoes or anything that is supposed to be worn on your body. Macy's, you make it almost impossible to be anything but a nudist. But at least I got my face-did just in time for happy hour.

Yelp
The problem with falling in love with one article of clothing is finding the other items to go along with it. It is not easy. Macy's and I have a history. I've shopped there most of my life, living off the sales racks and feeling pretty good. It's technically my fault that I lost several hours first looking in other stores for a top to match my (salsa dancing) birthday outfit. Yes, I had several birthday outfits. By the time I turned up here, I was exasperated. Monica was awesome. I showed her my skirt (which I'd wisely brought in) and she tracked me down several times with suggested tops. I'd also picked out a few from the sales rack, and was surprised when one worked. I walked out of the dressing room, and Monica seemed pleased. When a customer said it was lovely, Monica mentioned it was for my birthday. I told them how old I was turning; the customer said "you look 18!" You can't pay for that kind of service. I was surprised when this CK top clocked in under $20. "What jewelry will you wear?" Monica asked. I went over to jewelry and asked where the gold sales were. A few minutes later: pow. Necklace found. I came back to the clothes section to check out. Monica approved of the final package. "You will look great." And I did. And that's why they should hire a dozen more Monica's and have the real Monica train all the new ones. Just a thought.

Yelp
My first name is Virginia. Ugh. But today I appreciated that I have this name because Macy's gave out $10 gift cards to all Virginias. The department store is the sponsor of the movie "Yes, Virginia, There is a Santa Claus", which can be seen tonight at 7 p.m. on CBS. I looked around Macy's for a long time trying to find something I could spend the $10 on but did not have any luck. There was a cute faux fur vest marked down but the zipper was broken. The jewelry sparkled and twinkled at me but nothing really rocked my world. The gift card must be used by December 31 so perhaps I can find an after Christmas sale item. Nevertheless, it was a cute promo and I'm $10 richer.

Yelp
I thought it wise to add one of my male perspectives to the other reviews. I spent some time with two girlfriends browsing dresses with them, and I picked out a few interesting, unoffensive, and pretty boring things for them, and by the time they tried everything on, each only bought one simple black top at 75% off. While they were in the dressing room, I took a walk through the men's department. There was a killer sale on dress shirt going on, some only 19.99. However, everything they had was so boring. The active wear was frumpily presented on the racks and mannequins. Generally, the whole department was suffering from post holiday rot.. The suit department had some good deals, but again, everything was fairly traditional with nothing too youthful or daring. The younger men's ready-to-wear was all black clothing, again, a good place to go for basics or sale items, but nothing interesting. When I went over to some of the other lux stores, my eyes lit up to the interesting design patterns, stronger colors and enlightened me to the fact that Macy's for men is simply traditional wear and kind of dull. When my girlfriends were ready to check out, each used different cashiers. Each transaction took a little too long because of the the forced narrative the clerks are obligated to narrate: "Will you be using your Macy's card? Would you like to apply for one and get 20% off? You can pay it off all at once... (That one usually peeves me as I do not want sales people making assumptions about how I pay bills.). After all that, it's kind of annoying to experience department stores. So, for now, I will stay away from this one.

Yelp
just your regular old macys. new stuff and I sometimes low or sometimes very high price. I don't like shopping large brand stores, but they have a lot of options for dresses. I also like their shoe department. plenty of parking.
