Nora Ephron’s ‘Heartburn’ Gets 40th-Anniversary Reissue, and It’s a Must Read | Eater

"Portrayed as a public venue for a cooking demonstration in which the protagonist prepares Lillian Hellman’s pot roast, this department-store setting is used to dramatize how culinary performance can prop up romantic fantasy. The demonstration becomes a narrative device: the recipe is recited to make a point about how food and love are presented as fact, and it precipitates the character’s realization that cooking had shifted from an expression of affection to the sole way she could feel certain and in control." - Rebecca Flint Marx

Bright clean store with modern and up to date new styles! Also visited perfume counters. Attentive staff but not overwhelming. Very friendly and helpful.

All their departments looks like they have plethora of merchandise to sell. I particularly love Macy's jewelry and cosmetics departments. The cosmetics section is a beauty wonderland, offering a huge range of products from all the top brands. The jewelry department is a treasure trove of sparkle, with a stunning selection from delicate pieces to bold, elegant statements.

I had the pleasure of working with Steven N. in the Men’s Department at Macy’s in The Woodlands. I called from out of state looking for a men’s blazer that my local store told me was in stock there. Steven immediately went to work trying to track it down. He even took my number in case we were disconnected while he searched—something you don’t see often anymore. When he came back on the line, he explained that the blazer wasn’t on the floor or in the storeroom, but assured me he would continue looking. True to his word, he later called me back after locating the exact blazer at the Tulsa, Oklahoma store and gave me all the details I needed. Macy’s management—this is the future of your store. Customer service of this caliber has become a lost art, and Steven is a true superstar. I shop everywhere from specialty boutiques to Saks and Neiman Marcus, and this was top-tier, Ritz-Carlton level service. Please recognize and praise this young man—he represents Macy’s at its very best.

It was awful - no parking close to store entrance but like 10 damn open parking spots for Curbside Pickup that were all Empty!!! The store was a disaster - construction or Reno or something, but it was a nightmare! And Like Always...the escalator was out of order - no surprise!!! The elevator was all the way across the other end of the store. This location needs a serious Revamping!

Google
This store has everything! Women’s, Men’s and Children’s clothes, Shoes, Cosmetics and on and on! Some discounts available if you use your Macys credit card. Store employees are very helpful and very polite. Really nice store. Keep up the good work Macys!

I love Macy’s but the entire shoe department for the morning shift when I was there can use another training on customer service. This isn’t the first time this has happened so therefore now it has gotten to the point for me to leave a review. I came on a day where it was not busy at all so that cuts out all excuses as to why not just myself but others that I’ve observed wasn’t acknowledged when they needed assistance. Nobody even spoke and it took for someone in the perfume department to come ask me if I needed anything and they told me just grab the shoes and find one of the employees who work for that department but they could all see that I needed assistance. When I finally grabbed the two shoes I needed sizes for, the lady attitude came off as if she didn’t want to be bothered nor be at work. When she brought me the shoes she walked off when I needed to see if I could get a different size. I proceeded to just go to the register and ask one of the cashiers for help and even their customer service was not joyful at all. I hope that there becomes a change because today has truly made me no longer want to shop at this location nor recommend it. If I could have given the review a 0 star I would have. I really hope that the shoe department at this location learns customer service so that it will be a better help to the store.

Google
I was pleasantly surprised because I haven't shopped there in a while. Very nice, orderly, clean, every thing displayed nicely, sales associates were very helpful and accommodating. Liked it!

The staff has always been very friendly, helpful, and professional. Victoria in the jewelry & watches department provided outstanding customer service. The selection and prices were very good. The quality was excellent. The location and parking are very convenient.

Yelp
I was dragged here by my wife when she needed to buy a couple of formal dresses. Macys really has the best selections of all the competitions stores we visited. Gentlemen, the husbands chairs are comfy and there's ample room. I've been in places where there is nothing but a steel chair, or one not at all.

Yelp
11.14.24 My daughter was still looking for some boots and maybe new tennis shoes. She found 4 shoes she wanted to try on. Of course they did not have 2 of them in her size. Macy's does not carry a lot of my daughter's size. They never have. We were actually surprised they had 2 for her to even try on. We found Macy's boring so we left without buying anything.

Yelp
Bought some shoes to wear to a wedding. Only wore them around the store. Decided to return them because I went with a completely different look. Veronica, the manager, told me that she could not accept them back due to them being worn. They were ONLY worn while being tried on at store. Maybe consider cleaning your floors better.

Yelp
I like Macy's but wish they would stop moving things around. I am old. The shoes are hideous this year. A few customers and myself had a good laugh remembering the times we wore the same shoes way back when. Then, headed to the flats. Macy's is trying to be more upscale, but I think the majority of customers like the store the way it is. The sales are always good.

Yelp
I'm bad with names but I received great service at the Macy's Mens Fragrance Department! The young man possibly Hispanic guy was very helpful! He recommended a new YSL parfum and I see why! It was friends and family week and I was able to get 15% off.
google avatar

Jennifer G.

Yelp
If you are a good bargain hunter and search the sales, you can really make out here. Brand names have deep discounts on the clearance rack! Several places to look, and dressing rooms usually well maintained.

Yelp
Piece of sht customer service!!! You're lucky I wasn't there with my husband when you gave him a garbage attitude trying to buy a set cologne for a birthday gift! He stopped on his way home from work and Your sht sales people at the cologne section gave him and another guy the worst customer service! you need to get them in check Macy's!! You don't treat people no matter what color skin they are or even if they are not dressed up to your visual liking to give them shiity customer service while they are ready to drop money at your store!! He received a btchy attitude from both ladies that are working there tonight and he wasn't the only one another guy was looking at the same cologne my husband was looking at asked the lady how much was it didn't even acknowledge him or bothered to ask him if he needed help finding anything same treatment she gave my husband. Now is it because they were both colored skin men I don't know but it's still messed up If you don't know how to work customer service then don't work in SALES period! That will be the last time we will buy anything from here.

Yelp
I'm specifically giving a review for the Clinique counter at Macy's - not the whole dept store. My daughter got her makeup done with a staff member by the name of "Ese". She was amazing! My daughter has never looked more beautiful. We did buy a few products - but she didn't pressure us into buying items. Which I really appreciated. She threw in some good samples for my daughter too. She went the extra mile! I had such a positive experience- that I'll be shopping at Clinique regularly.

Yelp
Walked in to buy some shirts that were clearly marked down and refused to give it to me so I just bought one. The best part is when I walked in what it looked like the manager didn't even say hi to but rudely ran into me and bumped me and STILL didn't even give a nice greeting. Four employees including the manager all ignored me and gossip really badly about some lady and how they thought she was such a slut and whore. Really NOT a good place. I wouldn't bring your kids in there either.

Yelp
I was at Macys around 8:00 PM tonight. While I was testing some colognes the blonde saleswoman was giving me constant ugly looks. I asked for the "Bad Boy Le Parfum" and when she gave me the cologne she immediately went right back on her phone and I walked about 5 feet away to grab a testing paper and in those short seconds I went to grab a paper, she took the cologne back. I again asked for the cologne and she told me "I'm busy, so you need to hurry up." I am very disappointed in her ugly tone and extremely uninterested attitude. I was ready to buy a nice designer cologne and I will NEVER give her any business ever again. It's disappointing that her one job is to be good at sales and she's more focused on what's on her phone rather than helping a ready to pay customer. I don't know if she wasn't interested because I'm a younger person, but regardless of that she should still be interested to helping me. Overall, her service was horrible and I wouldn't recommend this Macy's.

Yelp
Gots to make this quick ...Im on limited time to run in and pick up what I'm looking for. The store is nearly empty with many hours to go before their doors close (perfect scenario, right?) It's unfortunate, but a total downgrade for the following simple reasons: 1. I'm basically the sole customer in the lingerie department. I ask an Associate (doing absolute nothingness) if I may have her assistance. I give her my size, she takes me back to the messy non-sale rack I told her I was just at and while she flips thru a few items, she acknowledges it's a mess and states - you'll have to look thru this (huh?) ...and I mention I have a limited amount of time. Does the Associate offer to follow thru and help look for the size I'm inquiring about? Nope. (huh?) 2. Back in the car, thought best to call the store manager and share my experience w/hopes they can improve. Upon calling main number - it's a recording and a few more recordings after that.. so for a quick fix, I hit "0" hoping to reach an operator.. recording states not valid (huh?). Customer service and a good product is what brings customers back (or, atleast for me). Macy's you blew it today by having an Associate misrepresent your company along with having an unnecessary rats nest of a phone system. If you don't care, I don't care... and because of that, my time and money will be spent elsewhere. ps - With recent headlines that Macy's CEO - Mr. Gennette is buying up company stock - fingers crossed he has a hidden agenda to bring back the magic that Macy's was once known for. Sincerely Wishing You Best of Luck!

Yelp
I usually avoid the hustle and bustle of this location by shopping online for work basics and simple accessories. I usually only go to the store for in-store returns or curbside from MAC. Never had any problems with curbside. Usually no problems with returns until today. I purchased quite a few shoes and accessories in the app last week. Two of the pairs (lowest in my bunch, actually) did not fit. I tried them on in my house, walked to a mirror on carpeted floor, and put them back into the box. I went in store to return them today after initiating the return in the app. The young lady at the desk was so rude, working very hard and very openly to see if I'd worn these $40 shoes!! I pointed out to her that both pairs had delicate soles that would immediately show wear when worn outside and explained that the tiny fleck she saw was likely from my carpeted bedroom floor. She treated me as if I would lie to her about two pairs of $40 shoes when I likely spent her entire months check on another item on the same ticket that I wasn't attempting to return. When she was satisfied, she basically shoo'd me away and didn't even hand me back my receipts in my hand. She placed it on the counter, waved her hand over it, and shoo'd me away from her counter. It took so much for me not to tell her exactly what I thought of her and her behavior especially when I'd just seen her being much nicer to woman in a different age group and demographic. If you're going to accuse me of cheating the system, at least do so in a store that doesn't offer clearance!

Yelp
Every time I venture to The Woodlands Mall, I park at the Macy's entrance to enter. I've walked through this store countless times and only on occasion have I ever stopped to purchase anything - and that was always at one of the cosmetic counters. Today, though, I was on a hunt for some children's items. Figured since we were already there, I'd give the big department store a try. Hunted upstairs and downstairs only to eventually be told that the children's department is in a separate mall location. Well, okay, that was helpful. Get to the children's area, finally. Lovely clothing, but I'm looking for shoes. Macy's used to carry nice kids' shoes in the past but now . . . have to flag down a sales associate who tells me that children's shoes are back in the main store, on display within women's shoes. Huh? He was very nice, though, so I'm giving him kudos for that. He forewarned me that their selection wasn't that spectacular and I may want to look elsewhere. He was absolutely right, for when I found them, nearly two-thirds of the selection were glitzy, junky girl shoes - talk about inequity! Disappointed in Macy's merchandise. Really I am. I can remember shopping in the Herald Square store in NY and being blown away by the selection. This is a shadow of THAT Macy's. If it weren't for the ladies at the Clinique counter, I'd be giving this Macy's a 1-star review. Well, maybe the fact that I love their convenient parking lot entrance, too, but is that because no one is parking there and shopping here? Whatever the reason, I park at Macy's and walk through it. Stop at Clinique and that's it. Sales staff in other areas are personable but there's really nothing here to buy, other than cosmetics.

Yelp
Love love love the quality and prices here! Yes it can be a little pricey but it's QUALITY clothing that can last you years! I love looking through the Last Act section first because you can find amazing deals! They almost always have a coupon you can use and save an additional 15-20% or so. I believe they give you even more discounts when you have their credit card. Their customer service is nothing spectacular! Extra shoutout to Robert in customer service who helped with a return and reorder of the same item that was no longer In stock. You were extremely patient

Yelp
So I am traveling to Montreal tomorrow but just got invited to a very 'fancy', prestigious event in Houston next week. Since it will (of course) be HOT I figured it was time for a new suit, and summer weight - dress to impress right!? Although I don't enjoy shopping for suits (last time was for my Mom's funeral) I decided to head for Macy's with Mrs G. Last day of their suit sale,7.20 pm, 3 women (one with the tape measure round her neck) pretty much standing around and doing NOTHING. I look around for a while, trying on a few jackets to check my size - not even a greeting. Figured out the size - now to find the suit. Challenge is that the suits seems to be arranged randomly making life challenging. No other customers, me ready to buy, and the beyatches pretty much ignore me. No service, Mr. Macy you may as well shut this crap store down. Your staff are useless and lazy, fire them and close the store down!!! PLEASE
google avatar

Rhea L.

Yelp
When I go to Macy's I go directly to the Jewelry area. Price are so reasonable and you get discounts.
google avatar

Lindsey D.

Yelp
Love this store! Plenty of entrances, easy to find, friendly employees, clean/new smell and feel I enjoy Macy's most of all the mall department stores.
google avatar

Carol C.

Yelp
OK Macy's you do serve a purpose in my life. I'm upgrading you to 3 stars because in the last few months you are carrying more upscale cookware, flat ware and in general cuter household stuff on the 2nd floor. I've been spending a lot of money here lately. The Men's department has even gotten a bit more upscale with great sales. Yes awesome deals on many designers even Nautica. Plus those coupons I receive really make your purchases a near steal. I actually purchased a few designer tops recently also at great prices which in the past were a hard find in this Macy's. Got lucky in the ladies shoe department and found some new fall khaki boots w/ 2 discounts on tax free weekend. So your quality is slowing going up but please give us a Macy's like the Galleria. Foot traffic has also gone up with the improvements in quality. Ladies dept still needs higher quality merchandise overall. They're going to be remodeling the entire bed and bath section soon also.
google avatar

Yelp
As a Macy's card holder I can appreciate and fully take advantage of the sales offered. On our last shopping spree we got 30 percent off our bill during a sale! We picked up a few non-sale items (Lacoste golf shirts) and it was a nice discount considering these shirts are pricey. The men's fragrance department had some small cologne sprays in our favorite designer scents. We picked up some Versace and Armani and we got one for free (after you buy two). These little viles are great for traveling and they'll stay fresh and not get rancid since there's not a whole lot of fragrance to waste. This anchor store has great buys and a friendly staff. Located inside The Woodlands Mall.
google avatar

Yelp
Robin Sanachez this the worst store manager ever. She was so rude to me when I was trying to buy makeup for my wife.
google avatar

April K.

Yelp
I will start with the best part of my experience tonight. I needed a little help in the tummy area for the outfit I had bought downstairs. Veronica in lingerie was sweet and very helpful. From her suggestion I found exactly what I needed. I found a nice Ralph Lauren jumpsuit which I was great for the 11 a.m. shower I had the next day. Where they failed miserably was the fitting rooms. The downstairs was the worst. Broken shelves, a weird smell and generally worn out looking. Not what you expect when your buying nice clothing, especially at The Woodlands mall which is a higher end area. Step it up, Macy's. I've been shopping there since you took over Foley's and I'm dissapointed.

Yelp
'A-ok' is served up like a 0-2 fastball down the pipe here.. I recently came through here to pick up a new pair of dress shoes for work.. After looking around I realized I was looking for something very specific.. and Macys didn't have it.. They came close with a nice pair of Cole Haan's, but they were $150. The staff was pretty helpful the 2nd time.. A nice gentleman who was more than willing to pull a couple pair of shoes for me to try on and give me some very vague information about brands being quality and such. The first time I went through here the staff wasn't nearly as helpful.. they were slow to respond and seemed very disinterested, other than churning me out and getting their commission. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I was looking for and I move on.

Stacy R.

Yelp
Complete incompetence! Called store yesterday as my order was set to cancel if I did not pick up. Curbside lady said I could extend pick up window until today. Guess what.....that was a complete lie!!! Macy's cancelled my order and didn't even have it in the store to repurchase again. Beyond mad and upset with this company!
google avatar

Rachel L.

Yelp
Out of the entire Woodlands this is probably where I shop the most for a variety of items. They have a great beauty and fragrance department. Their shoe department is huge and they carry everyday and upscale brands. They always have sale racks in juniors and women's with amazing marked down items. I got 3 pairs of jeans last year for $7 each!!! They also have a large variety of bedding and home items. They renovated last year and the layout is nice downstairs. Upstairs I think it is a bit crowded especially in the appliance area. Also, the women's bathroom could be cleaned more regularly. The air is always stuffy and unpleasant in there. The employees could be more friendly. Normally there is no greeting or smile, but I have had a few who have been very nice and make conversation. All in all, I am so glad we have this store and will be frequenting it at least one a month.

Yelp
I hardly ever go to the mall anymore, but stopped in today because I had ordered a skirt online that didn't fit, so I wanted to see if I could find anything here. I got to Macy's around 9:30, they open at 9:00. It did not appear that they had been ready to open. All areas were still doing cleanup that I guess had not been done the night before. I had been running errands all morning, so wanted to stop by the restroom to freshen up first. I found the restroom and upon turning the corner saw that it was being cleaned. It looked like they were almost done, but the floor was super wet and there was no 'cleaning' or 'wet floor' sign. I tried to ask the woman cleaning if there was another restroom that was open, and got a blank stare like I was crazy. I wandered around, not finding anything that caught my eye. On the way out I did find a pair of Anne Klein Sandals I wanted to try on. There were three guys by the register a few feet that worked there and were chatting. I hung around a few minutes with the shoe, and they were watching me, but did not come over. I had an appointment so I didn't have much time so I left. I found the shoe elsewhere at a much cheaper price so it worked out. When I left I was sweating - don't think the air was working or they had it turned up.
google avatar

Lisa D.

Yelp
I guess Macys The Woodlands doesn't value plus size shoppers. There were NO plus size business suits at all. I had money to spend. I guess I will take my money somewhere else.
google avatar

Ken K.

Yelp
Christine, the sales person in men's and luggage, was super helpful on sept 15th, and deserves kudos for helping this old fat farm guy looking to shed his overalls look!!! Also quite happy Macy's still stocks Jockey brand unlike fussy Dillard's!
google avatar

Yelp
We went in and spent almost $2000 on a couch ottoman and chair. 1 and a half years later the cushions have moved and now you can feel the frame when you sit down, the ratcheting mechanism that connects the two couch pieces comes unlatched at least once a week, and all the foam cushions have softened up dramatically. Macy's offers no support. We weren't explained what all the warranty covered at the time of purchase and it's to our detriment. The sales people here go about their day half hazardly and just wait for the bait/sales to swim into their mouth. As we did. after talking to the sales manager and finally getting the manufacturer name of our couch I have tried numerous times to contact without any response. As I sit here typing this review I can feel the ratchet loosening and the couch separating.. arghhh!!!!

Yelp
Macy's rocking on Saturday night at dinner time! Holiday decor makes for festive holiday shopping. High level of service. Plenty of staff to take care of customers with little or no wait. They always have coupons or in store specials. Store looked great and was easy to shop. Love shopping at Macy's during the holidays. They make it fun!
google avatar

Yelp
Executive Summary: Foley's is now Macy's, but much was lost in the transition. When Macy's rebranded Foley's and made the stores match the rest of the chain, I feared that something would be lost. It was. What's left is generic merchandise, the exact same as every other department store. On the other hand, there are salespeople hounding you like hungry wolves eyeing a wayward lamb, but not managing to actually provide good service. If you like to shop, make the drive down to Nordstrom's in the Galleria. The difference is like night and day. And if that drive isn't for you, there's always Amazon.com.

Chris V.

Yelp
Be very careful when shopping at Macy's in the Woodlands. My wife was shopping last night and went to pay with our Macy's card when the clerk told her they no longer take that card and she needed to upgrade to the new Macy Amex card. I don't know if Mary the clerk was being spiffed on new cards but she coerced my wife with a long line behind her to upgrade to this card. Mistake by my wife, but the sleezy behavior by this Macy employee will keep us from returning to this store.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
We stopped by Macy's on our most recent visit to the Woodlands Mall. We were needing some extra sheets for our king size bed. We lucked out and there was some on clearance that we liked. We were able to find some 510 TC sheets 100% Egyptian cotton on clearance for $38.00. That is great considering the original price on these sheets was $160.00. You can always count on Macy's to have great clearance closeout specials. This is the main reason I shop here. The sales staff is not overly helpful at this store. They try, but just do not do a great job. If you know what you are looking for and Macy's has it, you can usually get a pretty good deal on that item. Between their sales, coupons and other promotions going on. If you are looking for really high end merchandise, best to head to the Galleria.
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
Employees arguing with customers; they don't know how to read their own signs. Employee even went to see the sign and was arrogant about charging the customer more than the sale price.

Victoria S.

Yelp
I had an issue with an order. I have spent the past hour on hold waiting for a customer representative. Unacceptable, Macy's!

Shelley Z.

Yelp
Looks like the store gets a lot of negative responses but here are a few grievances I have had for years and mentioned it to management but nothing changes. 1. Before the store opens you can not get a good parking space because the employees do not have a designated space and are allowed to park right up front. 2. The changing rooms are in organized, dirty and HOT the AC I think is broken on a regular basis. For a store in a really nice part of town this one is disappointing and needs a major overhaul.

Ethan R.

Yelp
The jewelry staff is criminal. I purchased a $1,400 gold band with diamonds, and was told the resizing was free. I paid for the ring in full, and they sent it off to be resized. I received receipts that said nothing about a resizing fee, nor did I ever sign anything acknowledging a resizing fee. When I went to pick up the resized ring, they said I owed them $50 for the resizing, or I could purchase the $99 protection plan. Because the brand new ring now had loose diamonds from the resizing, there was nothing they could do, because I didn't purchase the $99 protection plan. I was then forced to purchase the $99 protection plan so they would waive the resizing fee, and fix the loose diamonds on a brand new ring. Be prepared to be lied to, and told it was "miscommunication."

Yelp
The service at this place is pretty damn terrible and it makes me sad. Maybe I just came in on a bad day but the employees generally completely ignored me, even when I attempted to ask for help, they kept going about busying themselves with whatever they had in their hands. The one lady that I did manage to gain the attention off was even more lost in the store then I was. She worked in the jewelry department but was of absolutely no help in said jewelry department. Oh well.

Amy S.

Yelp
i hate actually going to the store to shop because of the pushy sales persons. Because they are commission, they are all over you like a tick on a dog. They push the higher priced stuff so they can get a better paycheck. They act like you the "guest" don't have any sense about the products you are looking for. NOW, with that being said....... found most excellent way to shop here without having to deal w/pushy sales persons. Macy's has a "web buster" sale and I can actually browse at my own leisure without some nit wit sales person trying to direct me to something I am not interested in. I purchased a set of pots/pans for 50 bucks and was originally 180 bucks. I saved over 72%. and I love my new cookware. I purchased them online then went to the store to pick them up. It does take them 2 to 4 hours to let you know that your purchase is ready for pickup but who cares. it's worth the little wait time because of the great deals. I love the in and out thing. I did notice when I went to the store, it was packed and super super busy and was actually glad to spend less than 10 minutes picking up my purchase. You can however have your purchase delivered to you if you wish. They do offer free shipping if you purchase over a certain amount. I do intend on doing this again for Christmas. Will have it delivered this time. 10/18/14 update-BINGO-hit the jackpot with the web buster sale today. Got over half of my Christmas shopping done and didn't even set foot in the store. Great sale!!!!!

Lee S.

Yelp
I love to go to the second floor and look at the kitchenware and small appliances. They never carry my size, but a gray place to shop for gifts for friends and family. Alway had good experience shopping here.

Yelp
First time in the woodlands from sugar land and had a very bad encounter with the lady at the Bobbi brown booth. I applied some lip gloss on she asked me if I needed anything I said no. I put the lip gloss back and she said I could of gave you some applicator to put on. I said oh I'm sorry about that I didn't kno u had to do that she didn't say nothing looked at me like a ur not welcome look and threw the lip gloss in the trash. Guess us people of color aren't welcome in her book. Won't be going back to that Macy's.

Yelp
After visiting about 10 furniture stores over the weekend, I am a happy customer thanks to Susan Thanel in the furniture department at Macy's. If you are looking for a new living room or bedroom , I recommend her! Outstanding quality service 281-362-6233

Yelp
This Macy's is the best. There is always something great for everyone. Fantastic sales. They also stay open later than all the others on weekends.

Yelp
I strongly encourage anyone looking to buy something from Macy's online to send as a gift...STOP RIGHT NOW; DON'T DO IT. Not only did they ship the order wrong, they cancelled the second one I made to replace the first one....then they placed an order I was not aware of to replace the one that was cancelled. So here is the math; my card was charged $450 for a $150 pair of coach tennis shoes that was ordered 3 times. I paid for next day shipping and that did not happen and was charged $15 for the free gift (a water bottle).....and as I type...still no package. When asked if I would like to do the online survey I responded yes. Well, that never happened either as I was conveniently disconnected twice. I think I will just pay off my credit card and end my Macy's relationship. VERY DISAPPOINTED!

Yelp
I have been to Macy's 3 times in the last two weeks for Christmas shopping. 2 times in the college station and 1 at the Woodlands Mall. All times there have been problems. I was looking for a watch for Christmas 12/19/14 at the College Station store. I did not get waited on for 25 minutes which I expected being so close to Christmas, however once I decided on a watch and I was ready to pay, the sales lady informed me that she was checking out the other people first because I had to sign something. To this day still not sure what she was talking about. I had to wait 20 more minutes to get checked out. She was the only person to take links out of watches and took links out while I was waiting. My daughter bought a dress in College Station Macy's and the detector was left on. It did not go off when she left the store. Unfortunately she did not check if until right before we were getting ready for The Nutcracker. Ballet. We stopped at the Woodlands Mall to get it removed and they could not do it because the College Station store is the only store with the old type of detectors. She had to wear her dress to the Ballet with the sensor on it. When she went to take it back to the Macy's in College Station, they tried to take the dress from her even though we had pictures from the night before with her wearing it as she did not have the receipt. We were not expecting to have to take it back. I went to the Woodland's Mall Macy's to buy another watch12/29/14. Apparently they are in need of link removers because the only person behind the counter was a sales lady was removing links. 3 people were in front of me to be waited on. One sales person walked in and checked with the link remover then left the counter without waiting on any of us and went up the escalator. After about 20 minutes one of the ladies got the attention of the link remover lady and she called for help. Overall there was 5 of us waiting at the counter for 25 minutes total. 3 people left exasperated by the lack of help at the counter. Once I decided on a watch, I was then overcharged for my watch. I now have to go back and try to get my money back as I paid cash and unable to do it over the phone. I am soooooo dreading this 4th trip.

Yelp
What a horrible store , I live in the Woodlands and this store has changed so much the managers don't do anything to help or answer a question if you have a problem on a double charge on your Macy's bill, prices on clothes , etc. The Luggage dept. seems to be the only honest dept. to go to for honesty. There is a tall guy name David who is the most honest one to let you know about the product and what you need to use when you travel on the plane. I over heard the managers berate him because they do not like his size because he is on the over weight level but losing from what I seen. He is a wonderful person to go to for advice on luggage And the managers need to treat him better . There is a woman name Janie Hardy who is the Human resource manager at the store who was asked by some customers and she blew them off and decided to head for a early lunch instead of helping employees , while she hangs out with managers in the store . So the store is a awful experience to be into when it changed from Foley's.

Yelp
I asked an older woman who worked there where the ladies room was and she was so rude to me that I was appalled. I'm not one to get easily offended, but I couldn't believe how rude she was - I left the store and didn't even bother looking around. I'll definitely be taking my business elsewhere.
