Not sure what people are complaining about. For airport food this is very good and healthy. Who cares about customer service when you get a decent meal for once when flying.

Ryan Archer

Google
We had a short layover in Austin on the way home. We walked around and found MAD Greens and decided this was our spot for dinner. I ordered Southwest Hearty Wrap and it was good. Sure, $14 is pretty high for what it was - but when you're at the airport that is expected. Service was good too. The atmosphere wasn't great, but it is in the terminal so what do you expect?!

Silona Bonewald

Google
After a horrid experience at the Peached Tortilla I went here received kindly service and much better food. The toast was toasted. The avocados were green and plentiful. A touch of flavored oil and got some egg too. I didn't get greens but they didn't look scary hence me trying again! Thank you!

Google
I paid $13.64 for a bowl of quinoa- six tiny cubes of chicken…this place is a rip off! And the staff wasn't friendly- it was almost like they were annoyed because you asked a question. I asked for a little bit of ref onions and she wanted to charge me $1.50. I wish i looked at the contents before walking away to catch my flight! Sad part is as an airport employee they should treat us better!!

Heather Dite

Google
There’s. A reason this place has 3 stars. Out of tons of ingredients and employees who simply do not care. With the popularity of places like sweetgreen and cava, you’d think this would be an easy hit, but sadly it is not. My salad was made with Romain instead of kale and, though I asked for light dressing, I did not expect it to be the splatter from the end of the container on the top (the employee tried to add more but couldn’t find a full container, so slapped the lid on it and slid it over the counter without so much as looking up). Next time I check reviews before paying airport prices for food.

Google
I like this place! Not sure why people like wraps, just get the bowl! It’s a bigger portion. Yes you can get all the veggies toppings on there. Just ask the workers. It’s more like a Chipotle’s, but with healthier options. :) it was yummy to me. They have Sriracha packages so get as spicy as you want. I got the Buddha bowl, and it was good!

Google
The food was nice (though they had run out of avo and Mac n cheese) but I had horrible customer service with the guy behind the counter giving me a really bad attitude. Such a shame, it doesn't take much to smile and greet customers.

Google
Chicken Caesar wrap was very good! Great, healthy, fresh option too! Easy to take to go on the plane as well. Will return!

Lilje S.

Yelp
I got the southwest grain bowl and I really enjoyed it. The ingredients tasted fresh. This was a much needed break from richer food I'd been eating recently while traveling. Typically I'm not a big fan of dressing but I thoroughly enjoyed the dressing. As someone with a wheat allergy I had an easy time finding food I could eat here. The staff were very helpful especially when it came to customizing and substituting items in my bowl. I would definitely eat here again.
google avatar

Gourav W.

Yelp
My southwest hearty wrap was super bland and barely had any chicken. It hardly had any sauce. The person who was making it had so much attitude, when I asked for extra sauce on the side. Bad food bad experience.

Yelp
This is a great place to grab a fresh salad for a quick, healthy meal at the Austin airport. Fairly decent salad and bowls with a variety of greens and toppings to choose from. The Siam I am salad with fresh spinach, edamame, quinoa, carrots, tofu n peanuts was very filling.
google avatar

Pree R.

Yelp
Another great experience with Mad Greens! I had an odd crazing for a salad for breakfast and so Mad Greens was the perfect option while traveling. I was able to customize their Ty Cobb salad to exclude chicken and bacon and include tofu and spicy pumpkin seeds. The young lady at the cash register was super helpful and even offered to add in tofu since I asked for the meat to be taken out but didn't ask for tofu myself. With medium bleu cheese dressing, it was perfect. Yes, the perfect breakfast!
google avatar

Yelp
Mediocre at best. My $14 chicken cesar wrap (annie oakley) had barely any chicken. All i tasted was lettuce and greens. Hardly tasted an avocado as well. Maybe their salads are better, but their wrap was disappointing. Only positive was that the wrap is a pretty big size. As a lover of wraps, this one fell flat for me!

Yelp
For airport food, this is my usual go to. The grain bowls are consistently fresh with very tasty ingredients and always end up feeling satisfied. Would highly recommend the Southwest Bowl! Love the grilled chicken and the fact it comes with some fresh avocado. Their sauce pairs super well with the rest of the flavors.
google avatar

M G.

Yelp
Great heathy alternative to rich fatty food at the airport. I tried the southwest bowl with medium cilantro sauce and hit the spot while feeling healthy. This is a welcome alternative.

Heather P.

Yelp
This is the best airport meal I have had! I got the southwest bowl and all of the ingredients were fresh and there was a lot of food inside the bowl. It was very flavorful as well. Service was great and quick even though it was lunchtime on a Sunday. Price was reasonable considering the cost of food at other airports and how much food you got.
google avatar

Yelp
I had low expectations for this airport salad station but I ended up opting for a healthy option ahead of my flight. $14 salad +$1 fee for adding a teaspoon of Fritos to add some crunch. When I received my salad I noticed there were no strawberries and when I asked the worker behind the counter, he said they were "out of strawberries". I said "I wish someone told me that because it wasn't mentioned when I was ordering" and then he went to the back and came back with a handful of strawberries. The dressing left a weird texture in my mouth and the red onions were very overpowering since they were sliced so large. I will likely not be returning.

Yelp
I see the reviews are all over the place but the bowl i had was excellent. Freshly made to order. I often eat in the airport when I arrive because the quality of the food is very good overall.
google avatar

Janet R.

Yelp
We arrived at 8:30pm, so can't hold it against them that they were out of cheese. But the Mad Mac looked sooooo good! So we got a wrap and a bowl. Fantastic! The ingredients were fresh and the cilantro lime sauce was fabulous. Ignore the photo - we were almost finished when I thought to take a pic.
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
The wrap my wife and I shared was the Annie Oakley, which was full of fresh ingredients, such as lettuce, avocado, chicken and a nice Ranch dressing. The portion was a little small for the price, but that is to be expected at an Airport. We'd have it again Service was quick and they went the extra mile to cut the wrap in two.
google avatar

Traci-Dale C.

Yelp
I was so wanting to enjoy the Buddah Bowl and would have if the hoisin sauce (which I'm a regular user of at other places) didn't ruin the entire bowl. It is listed as a citrus hoisin, which would have been fine, but they added something spicy (most likely black pepper-- to which I have a reaction) that made it inedible. Wasted $15 and my time walking there and back. So sad.

Yelp
Best way to describe MAD greens is that it is exactly what you would expect of a "healthy" airport option. They have salads, bowls, and wraps, with mostly healthy ingredients. However the actual flavor and presentation of the food is pretty meh. I got one of the salads and while I wouldn't say it was tasty it also wasn't bad. You could tell the ingredients weren't the most fresh but like I said it's still definitely a step up from a fast food restaurant. Best part of the place is the amazing service and how quickly and efficiently they made the food.

Gina S.

Yelp
Service. The cashier was handling money and making food with the same gloves on and when I ask her if she could change them she replied "you're gonna eat it with the same hands that you paid me money with". Horrible service.
google avatar

Beth E.

Yelp
Airport restaurants were all very busy so I settled here for a quick bite. There were choices of bowls and wraps, etc. The staff was very friendly. I settled on an Annie Oakley, which was romaine lettuce, grilled chicken and a few other ingredients. The wrap was huge! Unfortunately when I started eating it, it was 90% lettuce wrapped around a few pieces of chicken. Truly disappointing. Now I know why there wasn't a line here compared to other restaurants.
google avatar

Greg E.

Yelp
I had the Annie Oakley wrap. It was just OK. The chicken was tender, but there was not a lot of flavor to it.
google avatar

Kaci F.

Yelp
It's hard to find decent food in an airport, but Mad greens gave me the goodness when I needed it. I had a grain bowl, specifically the Baja bowl which had brown rice, quinoa, grilled chicken breast, marinated red onions, chunks of mango, and generous chunks of avocado. When you order they ask if you want your dressing light, medium, or heavy--which was appreciated. The meal was plenty filling and nutritious. Only drawback are those airport prices, about $16 for just the bowl. I'd come back to this place if I'm idling at the Austin-Bergstrom terminal again in the future.

Yelp
Do not eat here. I was in Austin for a long layover. Decided to get a salad and was disappointed. First, they got my order wrong and half ass corrected it. Second, I am not sure what they classify as a Cobb but the eggs were a pasty substance rather than hard boiled. There were three people working. The cashier took my order right, but the two people preparing the orders weren't paying attention. The second guy misread the ticket and prepared a wrap instead of a salad. The third person - a woman - didn't look at the ticket either and just finished off the wrap and threw it up on the counter for me to pick up. I approached and could clearly read on the ticket that it was a salad so I say as I point to the ticket, "It's a actually a salad." She says, "Oh okay." Proceeds to ask the other worker for "more romaine" in a bowl, unwraps the wrap and dumps it onto of the romaine in a bowl. Closes the lid on top and slides it to me. She did ask if I wanted more dressing. Then when I got to my gate and sat down, I opened the salad and what is supposed to be hard boiled eggs sliced or chopped up, were actually a mushy pasty consistency. I picked at the salad once or twice and then decided it was probably best I not eat it. For $13 it was a total fail. And mind you, I am from LA...the land of $20-25 salads. This wasn't worth the money at all.

Yelp
Food is fine but staff is HORRIBLE. I fly frequently so this isn't my first encounter with these people. They have a massive "misery loves company vibe." Honestly if you have a cheery disposition, say hi, or smile, they will look at you like you have a problem and carry on ignoring you, looking at their phone, (esp the one taking orders - the grown male who makes his voice sound like a 6 yo girl) or act like they're organizing the food just to be petty. But today took the cake. I ordered vibrant Venus with RED WINE VINAIGRETTE. The extra large lady who made it just set it aside, refused to acknowledge it was completed, say have a nice day, or anything. I looked at my salad, checked the board to reread to make sure I didn't miss something, and still confused I simply asked, what's the yellow creamy substance on the top? A legitimate question since I just paid for this $18 salad and it's about to go into my mouth! She looked at me with evil eyes and with an unnecessarily snarky attitude in her voice stated it's the red wine vinaigrette that YOU ordered. UMMMM, first of all why the attitude, secondly let's not act like this is what red wine vinaigrette actually looks like. I know good help is hard to find, but for the owner of this place it seems especially so. I'll take my money elsewhere and avoid this place anytime I see them working.

Yelp
Amazing salads! So many choose from and if you aren't sure then go for the custom salad. They have tons of toppings and dressings. I definitely preferred the quinoa, corn, peppers, and spinach with carrots tomatoes and onions. But there are so many more to choose as well!!

Stacy B.

Yelp
Today I got a barely rolled wrap that they do not cut in half and when opened food fell out everywhere. Service was tacky
google avatar

Lauren F.

Yelp
In a Subway style, you choose your salad, make it yours by stating what you want to add and take off and how much dressing you want. Then it goes down the buffet type bar as they make your masterpiece! Usually quick and easy! They loose a star because they are frequently out of menu items.
google avatar

Rajiv K.

Yelp
Food was good. Their credit card reader was giving some issues though. I wish they offered to warm the wrap up, but they took my modifications without issue. I liked how they asked if I wanted light or heavy sauce. They delivered with a light amount per my request. I felt the meat quality was nice.

Yelp
May 28, 2023 8:28am This location is absolutely horrendous and one of the absolute worst customer service experience in my life. My wife is blind and I asked for the avocado and egg breakfast toast to include an extra piece of toast on top to accommodate for the difficulty of her eating an open face sandwich. I was told by Kristin the rude "acting manager" that they cannot provide the accommodation unless we pay $12 for a piece of toast!!!! The equivalent to an entire addition sandwich. she said this was "Company Policy"!

Yelp
Always my go-to healthy option at Austin airport. The ingredients are very fresh, everything is made right in front of you, and the line moves faster than you might expect. Love the one on Brodie, as well

C C.

Yelp
Fast, good plant-based Buddha bowl. I got hoisin dressing on the side. Fresh adamame, carrots and spinach
google avatar

Shannah H.

Yelp
Good salad bowl and great to find a healthy option while in the airport. Strangely they were out of several types of signature salad dressing when I got my lunch - shouldn't those be totally stocked and ready to go for the noonish lunch rush? The biggest thing this location needs to work on is line management. The line to order was very long (total 10 min wait to order) and moved very slowly. In a busy airport, this isn't good for a fast casual grab-and-go place. But the flavor and choices were spot-on. DELICIOUS!
google avatar

Jamie K.

Yelp
Chicken wrap with ranch was gross. I took one bite and couldn't continue. I'm pretty lenient when it comes to airport food since I travel so much, but this was inedible. Maybe other items are better but the chicken wrap tasted off.

Madeleine M.

Yelp
Below average salad bar, very small portions, VERY heavy handed on dressing. Got the Siam I Am with chicken instead of tofu- it was drowning in dressing and barely any chicken on this. Also it completely lacked any flavor. For $16 salad this was pathetic

Yelp
At last MAD (Marley And Dan) Greens has arrived at ABIA, airside across from Gate 7. Many, especially my doctor, believe that I dined only on 7 Finger Pork Chops, BBQ and tacos but I also possess a passion for well crafted salads and I am rather partial to MAD Greens not only because I have met one of the owners, Marley, on a couple of occasions but MAD Greens uses the freshest ingredients and offers a healthy and tasty alternative, also the soups are most inviting and delectable. Don Quixote is one of my favourites, mixed greens, Southwestern chicken, avocado, mango, roasted corn, Jack cheese with Creamy Ginger Dressing. Now that one of the major contributors to my girth expansion with their Belgium Chocolate Shakes is temporarily closed, MAD Greens will be seeing more of me. On my next visit, I plan to get my second favourite, Siam I Am, spinach, kale, warm quinoa, Piri Piri tofu, peanuts, carrots, green onions, edamame with Ginger Soy Dressing
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Had a long wait at the airport so decided I'd go with a healthier option. I got the Baja salad. It was very good. I would highly suggest giving it a shot. Pricey but everything at the airport is pricey.
google avatar

Andrew L.

Yelp
Solid options for a healthy create your own bowl with a wide variety of add ins The bowl tasted pretty good, not sure what exactly made the chicken "southwest" as it just tasted like plain grilled chicken but otherwise each add in was pretty good Service was fast and delicious the service was friendly

Mack M.

Yelp
Terrible service. I ordered a bowl, they gave me a wrap. I asked for a bowl and then they gave me a bowl to put the wrap in..
google avatar

Chris L.

Yelp
A good alternative if you need it. Pros: Healthy food in an otherwise sea of grease Cons: Nothing amazing If you're about to head home and are looking for a somewhat healthy meal after you've made your way through BBQ and Tex-Mex here in Austin, this is the spot. Like Austin, most food choices in the airport are greasy and meaty. I spent a whole week in Austin and wanted a bit of a reprieve, so I was happy to find MAD Greens at the airport. The prices here are standard prices for an airport meal (~$12-$16). The food itself is decent, but nothing to be mindblown about.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
I am a mad green lover. I was happy to learn they have a location now at the airport so I can eat a healthy lunch or dinner before a flight. Mad green is great because they will accommodate allergies and food intolerances. I ordered my favorite, don quiote salad, without cheese. I was able to have a substitute since I asked for without cheese on my salad. Bacon was my choice. I wanted to sub the chicken for shrimp but they didn't have any. I am not sure if this is a location thing or just their inventory for the day. OverAll, a great healthier option while at the airport. The line moves a little slow but this is dependent who is also in line with you at the moment.
google avatar

Marcella N.

Yelp
I was drawn to the title of this restaurant and their invitation to 'eat better.' I thought I had scored a healthy find at the airport. I ordered the Baja bowl, and unfortunately the ingredients were so low quality and the flavor profile was odd. I took about four bites and had to throw the rest away and find something else for lunch. Don't waste $15 here- it's not good.

Nah N.

Yelp
Food seemed nice..... cashier could care less so i went to Zocalos Cafe instead--better service and cheaper bowls.
google avatar

Helen H.

Yelp
The line wasn't too long, but it took a while to order. I went with the southwest grain bowl. I enjoyed every bite and wished there was more. It was a healthy lunch alternative.
google avatar

Rob P.

Yelp
Flying out on Halloween and my flight is delayed 2 hours. I finally get hungry around 7:45pm and most of the food places are closed. Seriously? This airport really pissed me off. Props to Mad Greens and the manager who isn't lazy and close before a reasonable dinnertime is over. Staff was super nice and helped me decide which salad to get and how to customize it. Have to say I enjoyed the salad, but more importantly I enjoyed the good customer service and will try to frequent the Mad Green locations in town to reward them for not closing early like Fly Rite and East Side Pies.
google avatar

John I.

Yelp
This place is the bomb for healthy food. I ordered my wife a Buddha Bowl and I got the Annie Oakley wrap. The staff were all so friendly and helped me select from an array of options including edamame, onions, kale, and other veggies. We ended up with a clean, satisfying, and filling meal prior to our flight. We look forward to returning.
google avatar

Valerie W.

Yelp
Located post boarding inside ABIA. I had a long flight coming up and wanted something light but filling. I got their version of a chicken Caesar wrap. It was bigger than I anticipated and was so delightfully good. I paired it with their version of a Diet Coke and was very satisfied with my meal. Ordering was cafeteria style where you can watch them prepare your food. The employees were all very friendly and helped me decide what to order and what condiments to use.

Jessie R.

Yelp
Sad to say, I wasn't impressed with the salad. I specifically asked for no croutons, and I got a lot of them with my salad I won't try this item again, but perhaps there is something else I'd like in the future. Good luck to the company..
google avatar

Kris C.

Yelp
Don't expect the regular portion sizes you get at a brick & Morter Mad Greens. It was pathetic! Staff kept rushing through orders, forgot ingredients in my salad. Snarky comments when I brought it up to them.
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
I'm so glad they opened up this location. The only downfall is they do not offer the full menu as the stand alone MAD Greens do as the Pancho Villa is my favorite, but the bbq salad I got was awesome. The staff was very friendly.
google avatar

Lyubov L.

Yelp
I love every single location of MadGreens that I visited in Austin and Boulder, but was disappointed with this one. I asked for a custom grain bowl and told that they don't have one. After all the debates we agreed on the order, but every employee asked all over the same question and didn't know that custom grain bowl is possible. And after all I ended up with the less portion of rice than I supposed to. Hopefully next time they will fix everything and will give a better experience and then I can upgrade my review.
google avatar

Ivan O.

Yelp
Food is good, but service lags. Ate at the MAD Greens in The Domain yesterday and had excellent, lightning-fast service. Manager and staff need some training.
google avatar

Kyle A.

Yelp
Came here on on way back home between flights. Line moved at a good pace. Service was good. Pricing was as expected. Had a Buddha bowl with no dressing. Was nice finding a place that wasn't smoothies, wine, or bbq at the Austin airport. Very glad we stopped by. Food was warm, fresh, and filling - well needed before our long flight.
google avatar

Justin N.

Yelp
If you're trying to eat healthy, this is a great option inside of the Austin Airport. You can't beat their salads and grain bowls! With plenty of options and a "Subway" style selection to your bows, you are bound to get something you like. Because you can pick what goes in your bowls if you don't like that suggestion, that's just on you.
