I really hate to give this rating because I’ve enjoyed this place, but today was such TERRIBLE customer service that I left without even getting my food. I came in, finishing a call. The cashier watched me walk in, come to the register (no one else waiting in line), made eye contact then turned her back to me. Continued for several minutes talking to the young lady behind her making the sandwiches. Still waiting at the register, and still on my call because I haven’t been greeted & she’s not even facing my direction, while they’re giggling & chatting for at least 5 minutes, wondering why she hasn’t come to take my order (considering I’m only 2-3 feet away from her & she saw me walk in & up to the register). I eventually start looking around. Unbeknownst to me, there’s a sign under the menu about a no phone policy while ordering. I’ve been here 2 or 3 times and never noticed because I always order the same thing, no need for me to look at the menu. I ask her, “you couldn’t have just told me there was a no phone policy instead of ignoring me?” She finally turns around & just points at the sign. I advised that I didn’t see the sign initially or I wouldn’t have been on a call. But in CUSTOMER SERVICE you could just politely let the CUSTOMER know. She twists her neck & rolls her eyes & continues pointing at the sign “WE HAVE A STRICT NO PHONE POLICY”. Then takes the guy’s order that came in behind me. I have zero issue with the policy, but this cashier was SO nasty about an interaction that could have easily been explained. Not everyone is going to see a sign that is not even a full notebook sheet in size. All that needed to be said was that the policy existed. I enjoy this food, but her attitude was terrible and I’m sure it wouldn’t have happened if a manager or the owner was on site. Very disgusted with her attitude & lack of respect.
