They almost didn't get five stars because of the prices but then I realized, it costs a bit more money to ship in your cream on a daily basis so I'll give them a pass.
Apparently, they have locations all around the island I'm pretty sure I also saw one in Oak Bluffs. We decided to skip it because biking back to Tisbury in 85 degree heat after eating ice cream sounded like a disaster in the making. Luckily, there were options in Tisbury prior to hopping on our ferry back to the mainland.
It's a fairly new location and feels that way, very bright and cheery inside with fun artwork on the walls. I also read the story about who Mad Martha was, who was born in the 1800's. Just enough seats to handle a crowd of probably 20 folks on those very hot, summer, weekend afternoons. The (exchange student) staff was very helpful and allowed all of the samples you wanted in order to make a choice.
We got what we came for, velvety creamy moo cow extract of the finest quality. The peanut butter cream was LOADED with PB cup bits and coupled with the heavy cream, was about as sinful as one can get. I can't remember the exact flavor my wife ordered but she basically licked the bowl clean so I know it was awesome.
Like I said, I'm not used to paying over $5 for a small and can't even think of a Boston equivalent. But prices aside, everything about the experience here was top notch and we will be visiting again in future summers.
