Disappointing, gross, and a bummer.
Visiting from Houston and traveling with a small dog, we were interested in a dog friendly brewery that served pizza.
'Dog friendly' as defined by this establishment are 5 wobbly fly-swarmed picnic tables in front of the building. As we approached the entrance, we were stopped by a kind patron who advised that the restaurant was not actually dog friendly and the staff did not like dogs inside of the bar/restaurant.
With this in mind, I stayed outside waiting for a table free up. Luckily, the person who told us about the dog policy was leaving, so we scored their table. Otherwise, we'd be SOL. Upon verifying with a server, she confirmed, "Yeah, we don't care for the 'dog thing'. We don't like dogs inside."
My husband went inside and scanned a table-top QR code to access the menu, as they do not have tangible menus. We each ordered flat-tasting beer and mediocre pizza. Their pizza tasted the equivalent of a freezer, store-bought pizza. In any case, we couldn't finish our food or beer because, together, our 4 hands swatting at all of the flies were not enough to the let us comfortably consume what we paid for. Once the flies made it into our beer, we left. We're ashamed that we stayed as long as we did - that's on us (LOL).
Also, apparently, this not a family friendly place as the staff was overheard EMPHATICALLY agreeing on the idea that families with children should not be allowed to visit restaurants. Weird and unfortunate.
