New spot in Williamsburg, went on Saturday night.
They bring in some solid DJs; overall, enjoyed the music (check who’s playing ahead of time).
The vibes were good. Solid crowd who are there to listen to music and dance. Crowd feels like it’s mostly mid 20’s to 30’s. Think Boiler Room. The atmosphere is nice, red lighting that sets a vibe but isn’t too dark/bright. They do have some inconveniently placed tables in the main dance floor which feels like an access chokepoint. Single person bathrooms (good thing), but lineups can get long for that (and coatcheck) with not a good/clear way for people to line up, causing a bit of chaos near the entrance.
The line was quite long even at 10:30pm, and it didn’t matter if you bought tickets or were on a guest list — everyone was in one line. A number of people in line were vocally upset at why they bought tickets in advance if they couldn’t get in. They have a very strict capacity limit, but it’s not very well thought out (10 people in, 10 people out).
