Quick and easy food wine on the mountain. Plenty of beer choices. Good service. During the winter the restrooms and locker area are incredibly packed because these are the most accessible washrooms on the mountain.

Stopped in for lunch after hiking the summer trails. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of Gluten Free options! I had the wings & poutine. Both were delicious. They have their own dedicated GF fryer! Would gladly go back.

I had a great experience at Trappers! The food was exceptional everything we tried was delicious. The nachos were a standout, with a surprisingly large portion that was the small portion but ended up being more than enough. The fried pickles were also a real treat crispy, tangy, and full of flavor. A fantastic meal all around!

Friendly service at the bar from an Aussie guy who joined us in being grateful for the warm (but not super hot and sunny) day today! Beers were cold and tasted better because we were drinking them outside of course. Nachos felt a bit too cheesy but were still good. Bison chili was so good, definitely recommend!

If I could give zero stars I would . 6 days of driving through BC/Alberta with (expected ) expensive meals / lodgings and entrance fees that were balanced by stellar views/service/friendly people and accommodation- our final day ended up in Sunshine Village - anything but sunny . We chose this last spot after reading about the takeover of tourist spots by Pursuit and wanted to make sure we visited a Canadian owned location - Perhaps Pursuit pays more perhaps Pursuit is nicer to their staff but wow we came across so many unhelpful and unhappy staff especially at Mad Trappers . Maybe it was understaffed and everyone was overworked but whatever it was it left a poor final taste of what was a fantastic trip . Also food was hit /miss . Chicken was well cooked and tasty , the portion size quite large so plan on sharing . No on the tomato soup .

First time being to sunshine and did a nice hike which doable for all the age group people. It was a beautiful day indeed, nice and sunny(not too hot). After the hike we went to this place for quick bite and it was worth it. Bit expensive place but what you expect in this valley 😅. Good place to have a beer or too with friends and small snacks before you head back. Thank you.

Loved the atmosphere, and yes, I get it was labour day weekend, but like, there's no reason to have 1 hour+ waits where wait staff won't even care to come by your table, food also come horribly overseasoned, and the chicken tenders I received were actually burnt to a crisp. Me and my family absolutely don't get the hype. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Very disappointed with Mad Trappers. As the only Black family there, we were ignored while others were served quickly. We waited over an hour while being told to “be patient.” When we spoke up about the clear discrimination, a staff member laughed in our face. The manager gave some ridiculous story about being from South Africa and “understanding how we feel” as a white man. Disgusting. They claimed they lost our receipt until they saw us confronting them. Only the fries and a wrap were decent. Don’t waste your time or money here.
