Canadian Rockies Dining Guide to the Food & Drink Scene | Eater

"A long-running après-ski institution near a major ski area that offers lively post-slope atmosphere, classic comfort food, and warming cocktails—part of the local ski-culture fabric since the early 20th century." - Zoe Baillargeon

Quick and easy food wine on the mountain. Plenty of beer choices. Good service. During the winter the restrooms and locker area are incredibly packed because these are the most accessible washrooms on the mountain.

Wow is this spot going downhill. I am prone to exaggeration so let me tell you I am NOT exaggerating; when I tell you I just had the worst $26 “caesar salad” of my entire life… Subway makes better salad. Who is in charge here!? Pull your head out!

Handwashing is optional with the staff behind the bar. They handle food, drinks and the money without once washing thier hands. Ick. I even see them handle jugs by the spout and chocolate chips arranged on whip cream with thier finger.s use a Spoon! The hot choc machine overfilled the mugs and causes the mugs to drop down the side. Math numeracy is not the strong point either. Hospitality is on the low.

Stopped in for lunch after hiking the summer trails. I was pleasantly surprised with the amount of Gluten Free options! I had the wings & poutine. Both were delicious. They have their own dedicated GF fryer! Would gladly go back.

Ski resort food…. Below expectations. All fried nothing grilled. No healthy options. Service takes way too long for a burger and fries - 50 minutes The point is fast in and out at a ski resort.

It was extremely busy and we were fortunate to get a table for 4. Our server was Chihiro and she was on point. Took care of us and kept us up to date about the food timings. The wait time for food became 45 minutes and we got a nice visit from Benji, new manager in Trappers and he was so apologetic to the wait time and was so sincere. We loved how he went around the whole place following up on every staff member from where we were sitting, we had a great view of the place. Once the food hit the table, it was amazing and worth the wait. Both Chihiro and Benji made our day and this is what hospitality is all about. We will be coming weekly now just because of how our first day went. Thank you Mad Trapper's team.

When you come to Sunshine, dine here! Chicken and beer will make you happy. Thank you, staff, for everything!❣️

Horrendous took over 1 hour to get the worst frozen hamburger and a stale poutine. No more specials anymore. Freezing cold inside with leaks and napkins to cover it up. It was a miserable atmosphere as everyone was waiting forever. I felt bad people travel from all over the world for this experience and it was garbage. The cocktails were gross - ordered a ceaser tasted like a vodka lime. $225 for 2 people lunch - very unimpressive. Lake Louise would have fondue with a view for that price and fast service. We are okay spending however provide good food like you used too. You are making Banff look bad. We won’t be back - and won’t recommend like we used too.
