"Indochine-Art Deco design fosters a laid-back ambience in this restaurant where the chef showcases modern Vietnamese cuisine from the central region of the country, where he grew up. The traditional dishes are presented with a refined yet creative touch. Be sure to try the delicious bao ngư nướng mỡ hành (grilled abalone with spring onion oil and fish sauce). The kem chuối nước cốt dừa (banana ice cream with coconut rice and crushed peanuts) is a satisfying and traditional dessert to round off your meal." - Michelin Inspector

Discovered Madame Lam in Saigon and it truly exceeded expectations. The food is wonderfully local yet presented with a contemporary twist — every dish was flavorful, authentic, and well prepared. A special shout-out to our server Huỳnh Thư, who made the experience even better. She took the time to introduce the dishes, checked in on how we enjoyed them, and even treated us each of everyone a glass of local Vietnamese tea at the end. Such thoughtful service really stood out. With its elegant atmosphere, excellent food, and attentive service, it’s no surprise that Madame Lam is Michelin Selected. A must-try when in Saigon!

Huynh Thu was my waitress and she provided excellent service! She even gave me a cute little complimentary dessert at the end. The ambiance was chill, and the food was great. The fried rice had crunchy bits, which I personally don’t like (weak teeth) but I know most others appreciate the textures.

Strongly recommended The place is located in a small compound food court with outdoor ceiling. The food is super tasty and the service is worth more than value of money. The atmosphere is like traditional Hue design but comfortable, the staffs are very helpful from security guard to waitresses especially our service staff was Nhi, she deserves 6 stars as she continuously change the new clean plates and utensils and always available around as needed.

We had a really great and enjoyable dinner here and all the dishes had really delicate and fragrant flavours. Our waitress Trinh and the manager (a guy, I didn’t catch his name) were very attentive in serving us. They even served us cassava chips while waiting for our food and then a really yummy banana coconut ice cream to end the meal.

We ordered six dishes, and every single dish was absolutely delicious. Taste was amazing, and everything was cooked perfectly. On top of that, the service was perfect. My waitress, Trihn was very kind and friendly. Grilled Beef mango and dragon fruit salad was highly recommend. Atmosphere was also enjoyable.

Had a fantastic dinner at Madame Lam in Ho Chi Minh City — a Michelin-recommended gem that blends Vietnamese tradition with modern flair. The jellyfish salad was a standout starter: incredibly fresh, vibrant in flavor, and with a crunchy texture that made it perfect for the tropical heat. Definitely one of the best appetizers I’ve had in a while. For dessert, I tried the banana coconut milk ice cream, it’s creamy, light, and subtly sweet, it was the ideal way to end the meal. The restaurant itself has a beautiful Indochine-inspired interior that feels both refined and cozy. Service was warm and attentive, which made the whole experience even more enjoyable. If you're looking for elevated Vietnamese cuisine with thoughtful presentation and a relaxed, elegant vibe, Madame Lam is definitely worth a visit.

best vietnamese contemporary food i’ve had in saigon so far, every single dish hit different. if you’re a foreigner looking for vietnam’s best flavors, this is a must. if you’re local, you’ll still love how they bring vibes from all over the country to one table. we had some chef recs and most were amazing. the dragon fruit pomelo prawn salad had that sweet-sour balance with crispy dried onion, so good. nha trang prawn with salted egg was the real star, fresh and rich, you don’t even need the dipping sauce. young crab chiên felt a bit dry so i’d skip next time. slow cooked grilled beef had great texture but flavor just ok. the truffle beef stir fried rice tho… wow, exactly like the beef fried rice i loved in hanoi. dessert was a letdown, banana ice cream too frozen, so you can skip that part. service was flawless, shoutout to Huynh Thu she was super nice and kind. and the whole space with hoi an house vibes made it even more special.

The dishes here were so delighted. Most Creative dish is the dragon fruit salad, it came with shrimp and pomelo with fried scallions. Tasted so fresh and full of natural sweet from fruits. Like this dish a lot! And the spring rolls share plate also amazing that each flavors were so different and with different sauces even in one plate could still match well.
