Can’t believe I hadn’t written a review for this place yet. After moving to Gresham a few months ago, I’ve been here weekly, sometimes multiple times a week. Their selection of approximately 18 beers has its classics that are always there, and then a rotating selection of tasty/seasonal selections beers that keeps things fresh. I particularly love their Cherry and Watermelon Sours. They offer growler fills and have a fun members club called “The Herd.” On Thursday evenings there is a friendly run club. Their taco Tuesday deal and Ranchhand pizza with the smoked pork are can’t miss. Everyone who works there is super friendly and they’re such a treasure to have in the neighborhood.

Best Taco Tuesday deal in the Portland area. The Pork tacos are out of this world good! The rotating, home made salsa is a great idea. Way better than out of the jar salsa served at other places. Also love the beer varieties. There are multiple dark beers and IPA's on tap along with red, lager, cider, and others. Keep up the good work!

Gem of a taproom that I wouldn’t have thought anything of from the outside given its steip mall location. Inside it’s a cozy taproom with a great taplist of their own brews with a few guests, a good pub menu ranging from pizza and paninis to other bar snacks, and the service was absolutely outstanding. Happened to be there when they were hosting trivia and that was a lot of fun too, everyone super friendly. I’ll be back!

It was a great pairing event, and I can't wait for the next one! Every time I go, there is something new to try and experience. New beers, unique food specials, and, of course, the good old stand buys

Getting new tires next door more than an hour to kill so wandered in here. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight with four different beers. Of their 15 to choose from they were only out of one, and the four I chose were delicious. I liked the ones I tried, not too hoppy, and I had to check out a grilled cheese. It hasn't come yet but I can tell it's going to be awesome... The bartender was also an owner, and was super friendly despite being pretty busy. They fill growlers too, and although I don't live near here, I'll stop ny each time I'm in the area...

Fantastic tasting beverages. Very friendly staff. Come here for good tasting beer and ciders too! Atmosphere was nice but could use some updating, lighting is a little retail as opposed to a delicious beeritorium. Will definitely be back for many more beers.

Mad Cow Brewery has a lot of potential, but our visit felt a bit uneven. Pros: Easy access while waiting for my tires at discount tire, they allow minors. Cons: Food temperatures & quality. I had the beer cheese with chips and pretzels and added a sausage on the side. The flavor was good, but the temperature was off -- cheese and sausage piping hot on the outside and still cool in the middle. I was also expecting a soft pretzel but it came with bagged hard pretzels instead. The sausage was store bought and fine, nothing to write about. My 18 year old ordered the "Reuben," which was closer to a roast beef panini with sauerkraut. We thought it was gonna be a cool twist on tradition, but it was lackluster. It came with a pasta salad that was a bit overcooked and didn't have much flavor. It was dead inside, Wednesday blues maybe, but the owner clearly needs better advertising. Just one guy at the bar when we walked in. That said, the atmosphere was friendly and it looked like one person was handling both the cooking and bartending, which is a big job. With more staff or a busier flow, I could see the food quality leveling up. We didn't try the house beers and recognize it's a brewery, so that's why still 3 stars. I had just a Coke and son a water, and our total was $38 including tip. Price is ok. I really wanted to love it, and I think with a few tweaks, it could become a spot I'd happily recommend.

I love MadCow! Their brews are delicious and they rotate them for variety. Trivia night on Friday is a fun community experience.

Great so to great a happy hour bite. Monday nights they have a special, buy a pint get a pretzel for a dollar!

Fun menu! They have a burger where the buns are actually grilled cheese sandwiches.. it is AMAZING. I usually get the food to-go and sit on the patio next door to order a beer.

MadCow was on my list for a while to try. Part of the reason being it took a while is when we do go to Portland we don't make it Gresham typically but I remembered the brewery last time I was down and finally made a visit happen. The Evening Milking Stout is what I got and really enjoyed it with it's sweetness of chocolate and to even out a coffee feature that then kicks in making a very fine balanced beer. The taproom is chill and relaxed. On a busy night it could get crowded but it was nice mellow here. Of course where would I be without getting swag? The newer release of a blue shirt with a cow skull logo was just what I was hoping. Perhaps a unusual choice since I often try to distance my rural upbringing with style but the shirt was urbane and cool enough that it didn't feel "oakey".

I was with some friends heading back in to PDX from a hike in the Gorge and this place popped up when searching breweries. Not really far from where we live, but just in the opposite direction from where we normally look. I was pleasantly surprised! We cruised thru a few flights and managed to sip most of what was on tap that day. While I wasn't a huge fan of the IPA options, I was really happy to see some formerly common, but currently harder to find styles. Brown, red, stout, porter, etc. Really nice mix of options, and all really solid. I really liked the pumpkin cream ale, which sounded like a terrible idea, but was oddly tasty. (Great prices for flights and beers, too) The flights come in fun (is it a milk jug) shaped glasses, and the snacks we tried were decent. Nice to get off the beaten path to a place that's easy to get to and has great parking. We'll likely head this direction again.

The options are many. I liked the blackberry hard tea and huckleberry cream ale. The panini are good too. Grilled cheese and chips hit the taproom spot. Very low key environment with friendly people.

You know, I've thought about coming here many times over the year or two It's been located here. I will say I really wish they would expand their menu to do a little bit more because it really is a great spot that I could imagine coming to the very simple menu. We did a couple of small bites and a couple flights in though I won't say it was my top brewery or the favorite place I've been to this year I will say I am glad to see something thriving in the shopping center and I'm glad to support it

Maybe their beer is really good? We just went in for dinner, no drinks. The sandwiches were pretty underwhelming. And unfortunately the atmosphere was too. The guy who helped us was nice, but that's about it.

Bring a friend. Rooster red is solid. Reuben sandwich: same same. The vibes??? Absent. It's Gresham. You get what you get

I am visiting my daughter and she brought me to this Madcow Brewery Co. Because she knows I like IPA.s , I tried the Hip Silo Double IPA. It was recommended when I asked for something hoppy and was a good choice. I loved it. My daughter got the Hoodview Cider she loved it and had a flight as well. Great place I highly recommend it if you are in the area!

The bartender looks miserable and is not friendly. The beer is okay. I hope they do well.

I have visited Madcow Brewery off and on since they opened. Jason is owner/brewer, and his beer is good. Small selection of food and I liked everything that I tried. I always have had a great experience, customers and staff are friendly, and the place is very clean. Highly recommend and urge people to support small business. Great work, Jason!

Very low key Brewery. The type you wanna enjoy and see them grow before they grow into a huge brewery one day. As a successful business owner of 12 years, I love seeing them start small and grow as demand increases. This is how successful businesses outlast most businesses that are in a hurry to success. Excellent staff. Excellent ownership. Excellent service. Excellent beer on tap. Excellent panini's. (I even call to order to go for dinner often) Fun beer menu options that roared seasonal and a few that rotate often with cool new ideas. Nice location. Very clean and shiny in side. Very family friendly. You have to try their panini's and Pilsner beer.

My husband and I have been here many times and it's always super tasty. My favorites are honestly their salads, wedge or steak cesar are both great. Portions are generous, especially the fries. They have fun and unique specials that are usually a great $$ deal and very good. One of our fav spots for sure.

The only thing wrong with this place is that it isn't open more days of the week! Jason is an outstanding brewmaster and I know it won't be long before this place is packed all the time. They will definitely outgrow this spot in the years to come. Wish I could recommend just one beer to try, but that would be impossible, they are all excellent!! By the way, if MadCow isn't open and you're looking for their beer, Cheap Charlie's usually have all they offer in stock. If they're out, just ask Charlie to place an order.

I was very glad to see a new brewery close home. Stopped in to check it out with my wife. The inside is light and airy. There is some outside seating,, nice but intimate. The staff (one of the owners), was super friendly and helpful. They have quite a selection of craft brews and a few ciders too. I ordered a flight that included a red, IPAs, and a stout. They were all very good, and I will definitely become a regular. The food choices, while offered, are fairly limited. We ordered a small nacho and it was Ok, but I understood I was there for the microbrews, not food. The focus, so far, is the great Ales not food. For a taproom I think this is fair. On the way out from sitting outside, we bussed our own table, not required as far as I know, but they appreciated the effort. I sincerely hope to see this place continue to have a home.

Stopped in on a dreary Saturday afternoon after finding ourselves in the area looking for a brew pub. It's in a strip mall, but inside is welcoming. It's not a large space but has a number of tables plus a bar area. Staff was welcoming and friendly. Hubby had the Evening Milking Stout and I had a flight: Rooster Rock Red, Gateway Fog Hazy, Evening Milking Stout and the Old Rusty Barn Strong Scotch Ale. All were delicious. We split a turkey & Provalone panini. We will go back when in the area.

Have dropped by twice after work for a quick beer, both times have found it to be a pleasant environment and have enjoyed the stout.

The beer is pretty good. Been here a few times. Tried the red, an IPA and a pilsner. Food is fairly basic and extremely salty. Location is what it is. Vibes are meh. Service is good. 4/5 Beer 3/5 Location and vibes 2/5 Food 5/5 Service Nice place to go but check the hours just in case

Good friends recommended Madcow Brewing so we gave it a try today. Had a couple of tasty cold beers (I had the Drive Axle Amber) and yummy nachos with BBQ pork. Very comfortable and clean place with a great vibe. Rebecca behind the bar made sure we had all that we needed when we needed it. We will be back!!

GREAT SPOT!!! I hardly ever review but this was worth it. We did a taster tray and I loved every beer I got. The stout has an amazing chocolate flavor and the honey saison was super refreshing. Aside from the beers the staff is great! The owner's mom and dad were holding down the fort while him and his wife were having twins and they couldn't have been more welcoming. It has such a great vibe that we will be coming back often.

I have been going into MadCow sporadically since they opened. Every time I have been there, the staff and owners, have been friendly. Yes, they do know the beets on tap, and can make recommendations! Their food is reasonably priced. I don't usually like Rueben sandwiches, because of the sauerkraut, their fresh sauerkraut made me want to try their version. I loved it.

The beers are okay, but please don't eat here. I would strongly encourage the establishment to reconsider their menu of microwave Costco food. It's pretty bad. Come for a beer but do not order any food. Service was good, and the place was clean.

Best brewery taproom in Gresham. Amazing that Jason can produce so many great brews in a 1bbl system. And hey, I'm another brewer farther up Hwy 26, so I know things

Great spot! Wide selection of beers and a lite food menu. The Saisons were spot on and the IPA's also hit the spot. Indoor and outdoor seating. Great spot for a beer. Will be back for sure!

Great place, exactly what gresham needs...a local brewer! Impressive selection of brews for a small brewer and a couple guest cider taps. The food menu looks great and beer and food prices are more than fair, unlike most places these days! Come show your local support!
