So we came out tonight for some tacos on taco Tuesday and had the most amazing time. Thanks to our lovely server Briana! She gave amazing recommendations and attended to us and made sure that we had everything that we needed. Truly grateful for her service and the awesome time tonight at karaoke. I sang a couple of songs and will definitely be back again. 🫶🏼

Came here for my daughter's 24th birthday. We got the 3 hour brunch option. I liked that they sent you a personalized link to purchase your tickets this way my daughter sent it to her friends and they all paid on-line. She didn't have to put it out of her pocket and then collect the money. When we arrived they knew exactly how many tickets were purchased and had our table ready. Dante was our server and he was awesome. He waited on all 11 us like we were his only customers and always with the biggest smile. He served to please no matter how much we drove him crazy. He was adorable. The brunch deal was 3 hours. You chose one food brunch item and it was unlimited drinks. There was plenty to choose from. The portions were big. They also gave you an appetizer platter. The drinks were a little watered down but the girls made up for it in quantity. The package came with a complimentary bottle of champagne and it was cool when they came with the bubble blaster. There was a DJ and although no dance floor per se, the girls still danced some. The restaurant was decorated for Halloween so it had a cool vibe. All in all it was a great experience.

First let’s start with service, Jordan was amazing and answered all of out questions, checked in on us frequently and was very helpful when it came to helping with and explaining the menu. For the food, worth every penny! Portion sizes are really nice and food quality is great. I think we just found a new go to spot in Hoboken. 100% would recommend

Total fail! I ordered a cheesesteak and a chicken noodle soup. I received a cold pizza, no soup. The nice man who delivered it said that he was waiting for it, and that they brought him this pizza with no explanation. Of course, Uber Eats support didn’t refund me.

Found this place by accident so we decided to give it a try. The food was good, even had the shake for dessert which was excellent. If you are debating between the pitcher or glass get the pitcher with very little ice tho and it is good for 1 person. The ice melts and waters the drink down quickly. I deducted a star because there were items on my bill I did not order, its my fault for not looking but for the amount of tip thats INCLUDED the servers should do better, being overcharged $32 is not ideal.

During our first experience at the Mad Hatter owner Mike went above and beyond to make our night memorable. My kids and I will def be coming back not only for the great music exceptional food and out of this world guacamole, but for the great customer service and welcoming environment. Great restaurant in Hoboken, I like to come here whenever I’m in the area. My friend and I have become addicted to the Drunken Margarita (pun intended lol). Try their burgers, they’re great. Ask for Giselle, she’s great.

Easily one of the best experiences I've ever had. Food was great, service was amazing, and the drinks were perfection. The atmosphere was great and good vibes all around. Definitely recommended to everyone.

The burgers are okay. However they are (or became) dishonest. If I remember correctly, they used to be very friendly back in the old days (pre Covid). Be aware that they charge $3 for each dish for French fries! And they won't tell you when they take your order. They pretend as if it's part of your order. "Would you like fries with your burger?" without disclosing "that's additional $3!" Never going back to throw away my $3 again.

Had the best time at Mad Hatter! Came on a Saturday, the Djs were great! The food is pretty good/decent. I enjoyed one of the many bartenders (older male, slightly chiseled) he was great, however there were two of them who were straight a**holes, lack customer service. The 4 stars is because of the DJs, the music was good. The place give young crowd vibes, nobody dances. Also the security guard was super friendly tall young guy!

This was my 2nd time coming here. My rule is try a place twice before you comment . The food is absolutely fantastic here. Idk who cooks in the back but DAMN they can cook. Everything is seasoned and cooked to perfection. The service is over 15mins or more but it's downtown Hoboken and it's busy so not too bad. The staff was so damn friendly and cool with us. The woman taking care of us told us she was new but she was awesome ! The food and drinks were great but the drinks were strong. Tone done on the alcohol lol I like a bit of taste to my drink but still great! So it was 6 of us and the bill was $600....idk how or why but hey I didn't pay lmao The bar is definitely for people 25 and older. Not cozy at all it's definitely for a large groups and for people who want to be there with friends and it's a darker sports kind of bar Still recommend! Try it out

Our server andre was incredible. The ambiance is so fun. Got a burger and the chicken buffalo wrap. Loud music, very fun.

At 5pm on a Saturday while people are watching college football and MLB playoffs, there is a tone deaf DJ playing the worst set I've heard in my life. I cannot stress enough how bad of taste in music this person had and how obnoxiously loud it was playing. There was no flow to the song selection, no connection between selections, literally just a guy playing random songs that he liked as loud as possible. Not a single person in the bar was vibing to the music in any way. My throat was sore afterwards from trying to talk. Why do you have a TV every two feet playing every sporting event possible, if you're going to make it so loud that no one can hear anything or cheer? Absolutely the worst experience I've had in a bar, probably in my life. The floor is sticky. The tables are sticky. The chairs and tables are wobbling. It's cramped. The bartenders are hard working and very polite. I wish I had brought them ear plugs as a thank you gift. Will absolutely never return here under any circumstances. I'd rather be starved and dehydrated than subjected to this type of psychological torture. Run, don't walk, away.

The fresh squeezed orange juice in the mimosas was great. The avocado toast was very expensive and unfortunately pretty bland and the bread was not toasted. Also, in the women's bathroom, three out of the five stalls had broken doors and there was vomit in an open trash can in the stall. I will say our server was nice.

Came for a late lunch, we had the pasta and the burger with onion rings. Enjoyed the food, good bar food, but the service is the memorable part: John was running the bar and provided not only friendly service but well made drinks, like the Long Island Ice Tea. My friend did not drink and he provided a very tasty Mococktail with no prompting on our part. A wonderful surprise! Very friendly service staff. Also saw they have Vodka Red Bull - hard to find these days. Good lively "dance style" music too.

Walked around River st for a while until we found the perfect bar! Mad hatter was very lively, great music and a pool table to show off my scratches. Our server was attentive and helped my indecisive gf since she'll listen to everyone's suggestions but mine. Thank you Rami for an amazing staff and Madhatter for the awesome service. Will be coming back for sure!

I ordered your pretzel that is supposed to be soft. What I got was horrible for damn near 20 dollars some heads need to roll! .

First time visitor to Hoboken and this bar - didn't have any of the issues that others seemed to have here. We had a cheese pizza which was pretty yummy. Also had the garlic farm fries and old bay wings. I'd definitely recommend the wings though they were a little pricey. Karaoke was set to begin by 8pm by started closer to 10 due to microphone issues. People are serious about their karaoke here.... The server we had was very patient with us and even gave food drink recommendations. Will come back next time I'm in town!

We've been twice and the food has been bad both times. This time we got the waffle fries with Parmesan sauce. Not good, not a good sauce, tasted not fresh. We got the Mac and cheese egg rolls, again the egg roll tasted stale. We've also had dessert here and really below average. You also can't hear each other talking inside because of how loud the music is. For big games they only play blaring music not the game. Drinks are below average

Went for the grinchmas brunch and was pleasantly impressed with the food. Skirt steak was great. Decorations were on point. Great price for the drinks and food you get. Staff were super nice. They also use fresh squeezed orange juice in their mimosas, so good!

We forgot to eat sowe went on yelp looking for anything open with a bar and luckily pulled over to the mad hatter in Hoboken I never knew they served food but they do and late until 1am last call at one 130am to my surprise the food was good too are sever was good . Nothing open late are city is changed so I was happy are food and drink was so good

Madd Hatter is a little bit all over the place. Seems like a great place to watch a sporting event because they have very amount of TVs. However, it is difficult to enjoy the game when you have a DJ blasting music on Saturday afternoon. I guess if you are looking for that kind of vibe, this is the place for that, but I would not be mixing the two crowds. They also have these Football Specials to get you into the door. They claim it is $9 for unlimited wings with a purchase of a Bev. What they forget to tell you that every flavor and side is $1 each. So that means each extra round of wings is going to cost you $2. Still a great deal for 8 wings per clip, but do not try to fool your patrons with this. Just feels sleazy. Also, they have pitchers on the menu for $11, come to find out these are miniature pitchers, they can pass for a big gulp at 7-11. Lastly, I noticed on my bill that they charge an 11% fee for tax and conv. I asked the waitress what that meant and she could not answer. Nor could the manager. Madd Hatter will always be popular in Hoboken, but there are better options out there.

Came in for a few bday drinks for a friend. The service was great and the ambiance was cool. Shannon the bartender helped us out and was super fun and friendly! The bouncer at the door was also friendly.

If you want a club atmosphere in Hoboken, then this is the bar for you. It is definitely not the type of bar I would ever spend more than 1 minute inside given its sleazy vibe and rip off prices. The food is subpar in my opinion and drinks are overpriced compared to any other place. This place is for non-locals, as nobody from this town would be caught dead coming in here. With that being said, there is a type of person would love this bar and if you are that person, good for you.

Overpriced drinks, and wings are overcooked and you can't share it with a date if you go out and want something to pick on. Back of the restaurant smells.like sewage and chlorine, bad plumbing but all the workers there are drones, sorta going by with time and no signs of service or personality

Mad Hatter is a MUST visit for Hoboken trips. Roberto was fantastic. Great customer service, great knowledge of the menus cocktails. Loved convo with him. (Also cool tattoos) Mad Hatter is a STAPLE of Hoboken. Great prices. As a queer couple, it's fantastic to have a queer friendly bar. I love that it's chill in the morning/afternoon and turns up in the afternoon.

Be careful ordering alcoholic beverages as the prices aren't noted on the menu . They ended up charging me $55 for one drink that was never mentioned the size/price . The MH platter was $35 and wasn't worth it . It was mediocre and Very disappointing. The waiter was nice however felt rushed to pay the bill when it wasn't even busy . I will not return . 2 drinks and a platter $145 is ridiculous !!!!

MAGA bar. we came to see sean kingston for a supposed 5 hour set, of course it was 30 min and he lip sync most of the time - totally fine honestly. BUT right after they had a DJ come up and say MAGA, so 20+ women left at the same time, and one person went up to the bouncers just to explain while we all left and he said have you heard of the first amendment? which was obviously offensive. anyway, please drag this place bc they don't give a f about patrons

This review is for Saturday September 17th. I chose to go to this venue because I was looking for a place for my family & friends to watch the Canelo vs GGG boxing match. I made a reservation for 10 people. When we arrived I didn't like the table we were seated at. They changed us to a different table with more tvs. The food & drinks were great. I ordered a green tea as a drink, opposed to a shot. I ordered the boneless Thai chili wings & truffle fries. It was a lot of food. Two people could share it. Everyone was happy with their food. The downside I didn't think I had to ask if the boxing match would have the sound on. When I asked about the sound the server said no because they had a DJ. I've been to many bars that would have the DJ play music in between the rounds. This was very disappointing. With no sound on you think they would have the closed captioning on at least NOPE. The other downside they only accept 2 cards & cash to pay your bill. Overall the customer service was great. I just wouldn't go back to watch a boxing match the

Absolutely disgusting for the following reasons; within 1 visit: Mickey Mouse was playing hide and seek near our booth. Tried to take a pic, but it was too fast. Cracked glass (see pic below). Sticky floors!! My shoe stuck to the floor in the bathroom and at the bar!! Sticky tables! Dirty dishes (white plates with black substance (maybe rat poop? IDK) This place needs to be condemned. Sad part I used to come here often years ago. And came back to this disappointment. Do not enter!

Sound system: Don't know how they fixed the sound system in 1 week, but the sound system today (4/2/24) is WAY better this week than last week's karaoke competition. Last week's sound was equivalent of a 1980's broken TV speaker. It was so bad it was embarrassing. And it was used for a karaoke competition?!? My Bluetooth speaker has better sound than their speakers last week. So clearly the competition was already flawed last week. Whatever they did today 4/2/2024 was amazing. Sound was crystal clear and you can hear the persons voice. Can't hide the flaws behind the white noise like they did last weeks competition. Karaoke completion: Then one of the managers changes the rules during the finals last week to make it a free for all when others qualified? Wtf? So instead of about 10 finalists who made it through the qualifying rounds then made it through the semi-finals it is now a free for all with about 35-40 singers??? And some of these singers are professional singers who were texted to come for the $1000? It was in poor taste for all the 15-20 regulars who came every week and qualified. Then we got these broadway and professional singers coming out of no where for the competition? Really? Karaoke judges: drunken young people for last week who wouldn't know what a vibrato is or if someone is pitchy or flat in their singing. Only one of them actually was watching and judging seriously, but the other judges ( friends) took her away to have more drinks. Tonight's judges got it wrong too. The best singer with the most soul was one of the regulars. But they of course gave it to one of the mercenary singers. People with trained musical ears all agreed it was between two people but the judges got it wrong, again. But they were way better than the judges last week. They actually listened and watched the contestants. Food: used to be 5 stars, now it's 3 stars Since they changed chefs about a month ago, the beef tacos aren't the same. Meat quality is worse and the pieces are smaller and it's now over cooked. Previous chef, maybe he brined the meat and definitely better quality and meat was cooked to medium. Before people were saying food at mad hatter was REALLY GOOD. Now it's just blah. The beef is cooked like medium well and tastes like shoe leather. Maybe because they make a killing on the weekends the owners don't care about what happens on a Tuesday night? Truth is, after what happened last week, there's about 15-20 regulars who come every Tuesday night for karaoke and now they may have lost all of them. So now all of the regulars get to hear semi professional who show up just for the prize whereas the rest of the regulars get screwed over. Surprise! Judges last week were busy getting drunk so the people the picked were based on alcohol and crowd pleasers not skill and execution and having that soul and x-factor in their performance. So the winner is someone who came in like a mercenary out of no where. Only Positives:: RV the karaoke DJ is always amazing and on point. Morgan and Nicole are awesome bar tenders and they know each of us by name and what our regular drinks are. The bouncer Miguel is great but not here on Tuesdays. Now we got to hear two semi-professional mercenaries in a tie and battle it out to win the $1000 after they came only ONE time whereas the regulars were here for months every Tuesday qualifying. And they left out the best singer of the night. SMH.

Mediocre service, waitress messed up order and didn't bring all dishes at the same time since she had forgotten two parts of the order. The drinks were weak. Food was just ok. We ordered bar type food so it was very basic. The place was not super busy around 5pm on Christmas Day. Nonetheless, our waitress managed to misplace our card. She claimed we didn't give her our card but ultimately she found the damn card! She had left it inside the credit card machine! We have already had one experience with a disorganized establishment loosing our card, we just braced ourselves and prayed our patience would not be tested yet again especially on Christmas Day!! Who wants the stressful and tense experience especially on Christmas Day! SMH We came here for the convenience and not wanting to drive too far but highly doubt we would go out of our way to come again to this hipster establishment.

Loved the vibe here inside and outside. We decided to eat outside. They have tvs at each outdoor Table showing a sports game! I've never seen that before streetside, definitely lures customers in. The calamari was meh the fries were yum. The wings were delicious. The server was great. Go, enjoy!

Booked a reservation for my daughters 18th birthday on line. There was nothing mentioned about age restrictions and when she showed up they were hosting a st. Patrick's day party and would let them in. Epic fail and disgrace in the part of the Mad Hatter. Avoid at all costs. No good restaurant would let that happen.

Went for "Sean Kingston's birthday event".. he was an hour late and showed up for 30mins.. which hey I've been to celeb events before so I get it but don't advertise he will be there for 2 hours.. they then proceeded to play Trump audio followed by R Kelley causing a mass departure of patrons. Keep misogynistic men out of your bar thanks.

Didn't like the drinks nor the food. All drinks ordered were done incorrectly and bar tender had no idea what she was doing. The food took forever to arrive and then it was cold.

"Did you find a late night dining option in Hoboken?" "Yes" "What did it cost?" "Everything" Post Covid, Madd Hatter is one of the few late night dining options in Hoboken. The kitchen is open until well past midnight, at a time when almost everything else is closed. But this comes at a price - namely your eardrums and sanity. The music is blaring at all times, whether it's a Friday night dance party or a Wed night karaoke session. The service is hit or miss (usually miss), with the staff sometimes slow to take your order. The flip side is the food does come out quickly. The food is surprisingly good for a sports bar - chicken milanese and steak baguettes are two favorites. Come here to watch a sports game and grab a beer, but don't expect to have any sort of meaningful conversation with the people sitting at your table. And for the love of anything holy, avoid this Friday and Sat night after 10pm unless you want to fist pump your way through 500 of Hobokens finest bros.

Best drinks! Best food! Best energy! This place is great. I really recommend to anyone in the Hoboken area.

Stopped by here for brunch after not being able to get a table at a few other places close by. We were greeted with a waitress who seemed like it was her first week there. Started off with the table that we were seated at wasn't cleaned properly. We were given a menu that said $2 mimosas on Saturday and Sunday- and Ofcourse me and my friends all got excited and ordered one for each. As soon as we got our mimosas, I confirmed with her that they were indeed two dollars each before ordering more. She said, yeah seems like it with what it says on the menu. Five minutes later, she came back out and said "I just confirmed with my manager And he said it's 9.50 each." I politely asked if they can adjust the bill according to what it says on their own menu, and I was told that's not possible. We ordered entrees, and vegetarian options are very limited. All I could find was the mac&cheese and would not recommend that. It looked great, but was very dry, and bland. On top of all of this, the waitresses there are walking around with lace masks- and being a physician, I know that is not safe! All in all, I will not be going back to this place and would definitely not recommend.

Not even one star!! I went with friends ordered drinks and never got the drinks. They didn't give us a receipt and refuse to refund us. Our server didn't even come to talk to us, she sent someone else. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

PROS: This is absolutely the spot to go to in Hoboken. The food was nicely priced, good size, and tasted great. The staff there was nice and the waitresses were very attractive. They made Hooters girls look like old librarians. Our waitress Kelsey really took care of us considering we were a good size group. CONS: Not counting the fact theres no parking, there were a few cons. There menu online had less of a selection and lower prices than in person. Also I asked for no peppers in my penne vodka and I had to pull out about 15 of them. They also require people to pay $100 worth of drinks if you come at night OVERALL: I know its a 4 star simply due to a few errors on their part, however, its definitely a good place to eat and once covid ends it'll also be a nice spot for nightlife

John is one of the most helpful bartenders I've ever met. I'm the kind of person who wants custom drinks made or for a bartender to choose my next drink based on my mood, and he made sure to let me know what drink specials were going, and informed me of the industry days and the corporate happy hour when I asked

I ordered the steak quesadilla and had 2 espresso martinis while working remote. (God I love not working 9-5 in an office.) this Wi-Fi works.

Order nachos supreme to go. It was 20 something dollars, which is a lot. But you do get a large portion. It came in two large boxes. Well worth the money. It was delicious and will be ordering from here again! Also loved that they were open late.

I hate to complain but GIGI. was one of worst bartenders I've had in a while. She over charged me with some one else's tab!! She tried to blame me with it but she knows she F**ked up. She should not be a bartender. She also missed multiple drinks I ordered... terrible service.. I had to ask another bartender to complete the other drinks that I asked her to get for me SMH. TERRIBLE ATTITUDE

For my friends birthday this weekend we wanted to find a fun place with good music to party for her celebration. On instagram we saw an advertisment of Madd Hatter and figured we check the place out since it said they do a party brunch with dj. We all went ahead and made a reservation for twenty one people for the brunch package (75$ each plus tax). The brunch package said it included an appetizer for the table along with champagne bottles. When we got to the brunch it wasn't even set up in time, the waitress' had no idea of our reservation and on top of that the table didn't even fit twenty one people. Additonally no one checked our tickets when we arrived, there was NO DJ, we never got the champagne bottles, the "discounted shots" that were included in the brunch were charged at full price, we never got the appetizer for the table and our waitress wouldnt even let us order food until we all gave her an additonal $15. The brunch food was delicious but that is the only thing this place has going for it. The owner overheard us talking bad about our experience and apologized by giving us a voucher for a free vip table along with bottles. That was very nice of him but that does not make up for the fact her birthday party was a hot, unorganized MESS. They couldnt even give us the bottles or the food while we were there bc we got kicked out for their super bowl party. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Whoever does the marketing for this place deserves a raise because what we saw on the instagram ad was NOTHING like we got at all. We got sold a dream and it was terrible.

So I've had myself A DAY - full on quarantine day ppl! Ordered carrot cake from here off Seamless. The gentleman working was nice enough to call me and let me know they're out. He asked me if I want cheesecake or red velvet cake. I asked what's better. He said "the red velvet is delicious." So I took it! The delivery guy was even nice enough to bring it to my door (which was doubly awesome considering I'm freezing in my PJ's lol). Opened the container to find TWO pieces and a ton of extra whipped cream which is my fav!!! Not sure if they're trying to get rid of cake - but it made me super happy. Thank you!!!! Ahh - so realized it tasted a bit off, lol. Still thankful for their kindness but cake quality was subpar :(

Vibe is always an amazing at Madd hatter ! staff is extremely friendly , Drinks are always great me and my friends love their fish bowls!!
