This place is always a pleasure. Wait staff is on point and food is even better. They do make you feel a little rushed but that could just be the way they do it. Also, the lead hostess was not a good fit for that place. She was unkind and dismissive. Other than that…..well worth it.

I had no idea there was a winery in a place like this—let alone one with a full restaurant! It was such a wonderful experience. It felt like a little getaway outside the city. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. I especially enjoyed the salad, pasta, and the bread and butter they served at the beginning. Everything was just lovely!

My husband and I went to San Antonio Winery to celebrate our 25th Anniversary, having served their wine at our wedding, so long ago. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun, and we ended-up taking home a couple of wine bottles to enjoy at a later date. One of the owners was working in the winery store and was most hospitable, chatting with us about his family's history and asking about our own family and what tastes we enjoy. He set us up with some wonderful tastings that really opened-up our palates.

Really family friendly restaurant. Perfect for lunch time. I enjoyed the spaghetti with meatballs and clam chowder and tiramisu (not pictured). Excellent service and will come back in the future.

Went for lunch, it’s been awhile. Ordered the Grilled Shrimp Salad and Antipasto platter. Both were very good. The restaurant is inside the San Antonio Winery. It’s price is above average. Portions are large.

We found there were less wait staff and those that were there were very frazzled. I guess the raise to $20 an hour has taken a toll.

This restaurant is located in the heart of LA inside the historic San Antonio Winery. It is cafeteria style service with an extensive menu of salads, pasta, seafood, sandwiches, and more. We ordered the Pasta Pescatore and Chicken Alfredo -- both entrees included a side salad and sourdough bread. It was very good, and of course they have some great San Simeon and Stella Rosa wines! Great outdoor patio as well as indoor seating. Loved their boutique area with fun items to shop -- especially for the holidays! Large parking lot as well as street parking is available. They also have a great wine tasting area and host fun events throughout the year -- going back for Bingo next month!

We loved this hidden gem! Great Italian food, and a charming little shop and winery. We went on a seeing trip. It's nice to find such a beautiful place in such an unexpected neighborhood. We all need to explore our own backyard more. The lasagna was excellent. My panacotta dessert too. Excellent service too!

I've been here a good few times and it always satisfies. One con as others have stated is that after you're seated, getting service is a little difficult, especially if they're busy. If you're able to get someone, they're extremely friendly, so not too big of a deal, but you just have to ask. Do take note that there will likely be a line on the weekends. Their Italian spritz is nice and tasty! I'd ask for light ice as sometimes, the whole glass is ice. I got the steak and eggs and that was okay. Steak was cooked fine, although a bit thin. The potatoes were actually flavored well and the scrambled eggs cooked perfectly. The side toast they give was perfect to make a little butter, jam and egg sandwich. Their filet mignon stir fry is always good! Super flavorful and beef is tender as well. A favorite of the wife. The bread they serve on the side for the pasta was actually great. It wasn't stale or hard and had a nice chew to it. The salad was fresh as well. Overall, a good place. Maybe a tad overpriced, but things these days are expensive and the whole atmosphere is worth checking out.

Great food, ambiance, and service!! Hidden gem of downtown la. Will return again with more time

The space is huge, but we did have circle around twice to find parking. It was very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The wait was about 30 minutes for a large party. We tried one of their lemon bars while we waited and it was a nice treat. The place was decorated for the holidays. I loved the festive decor. They also had a live musician playing jazzy renditions of pop music covers. A few people even got up to dance to the music. We went through to order our food. We were served us our desserts and The soup of the day was minestrone: delicious. The meatball lasagna was also tasty. The crème brûlée was very good, but the chocolate cake was diviiiine. The chocolate chips pushed it over the edge. All in all we had a lovely time here. The servers were busy, but prompt and attentive. They seem to have a system that works like a pretty well-oiled machine.

Don't let the cafeteria concept put you off. San Antonio's Maddalena Restaurant is a truly iconic space here in Los Angeles. If you live in LA and have not experienced the place you are missing out. Great space, great service, great food, and of course great wine. I have never had a bad dish. The pasta is fresh, the chicken juicy and the sausage plentiful and spicy. The deserts, if you have room, are well worth the calories. Some of the items in "gift shop" and rotating holiday decor may be a bit haphazard and kitschy, but you will see folks from all over Los Angeles here, and it just feels right, welcoming and inclusive. A must visit.

I visited Maddalena Restaurant as part of the excellent winery tour at San Antonio Winery and was excited to try the Pastrami I had seen on display while I had 15 minutes to kill before the tour started. The ordering process works a bit differently than I expected: after placing your order and paying at the counter, you take your tray and a number to a seating area, where a server brings your food. While this setup would have been fine, it wasn't clearly explained, and at first glance, the restaurant front end had more of a grab-and-go feel. The main issue was the customer service at the counter. The staff taking my order and handling the payment were noticeably unfriendly, which stood out even more compared to the warm hospitality I experienced from the wine store. There was no effort to explain the ordering process, and when I asked for clarification, the order taker seemed annoyed. After paying a separate cashier and having to explain to her I wanted my food to go, the waiter who had my ticket kept looking in my direction and shaking his head--not sure why, but it didn't create a welcoming atmosphere. That said, the pastrami was tasty, and a fourth staff member who ultimately delivered my food was pleasant, which helped end the experience on a better note. However, the overall service was inconsistent and left much to be desired. We were going to eat here as a group after the tour but based on the earlier experience most of us decided to eat elsewhere.

Such a great place. Maddalena's, located inside of the San Antonio Winery, is a neighborhood staple. Family owned serving the community for over 40 years, it's an all purpose restaurant, for large group gatherings for dinner or just lunch for 2. A very wide selection of food items, some of my favorites are the Classic Breakfast, Lobster Ravioli and Rack of Lamb. The Tiramisu and Cannoli are very good for desert. Mimosas, Spritz and of coarse wine, are all available as well. The service is great, from ordering, to dining, I have enjoyed the experience. I had an opportunity to meet Santo Rubilo, one of the owners, while having lunch with coworkers. Thank you very much! Definitely a place to check out while in Los Angeles.

Maddalena is located in San Antonio winery toward the back of the building. Restaurant ordering is cafeteria style. You place your food order with the cashier and then place any wine flight orders (3 options available at $22 )with another cashier and then complete payment at the end of the line. Be sure to tip on your payment or leave cash. Otherwise, the servers seat you and bring you your food when ready. The menu is pretty large so I had a difficult time picking. I ordered the turkey melt for $17. I thought it was pretty decent. My friends ordered the spaghetti with meat balls and the chicken shiitake which all had large/generous plating. I did appreciate the fact they had displays of the entrees before ordering so you got an idea. Service was attentive but servers seemed a bit rushed. I can only imagine on a busy weekend or the holidays. Overall, a solid spot if in the area.

Food was great. Of course wines are always excellent! The manager was so nice he gave me a free bottle of wine for my birthday!!

Excellent customer service! We got the spaghetti, pastrami sandwich, sirloin stir fry, chicken tenders and fries, shrimp scampi, a bottle of non-alcoholic Stella peach, and mimosa. Loved the live guitarist.

Can someone please tell me why this place was PACKED on a Tuesday just before noon? Oh right, cus' it's really THAT good! We had to circle twice to find parking because some people just loooove to double park here in LA and make it hell for the rest of us. Once inside there was a line, but it wasn't too bad (10-15 minutes). What I think is the BEST idea for any restaurant is to have a visual representation of what is on the menu that day. They have two display areas with possible order choices. Of course, the one that looked most appetizing to me also happened to be the most expensive. My second option would have been the Lobster Ravioli but I'm allergic to shellfish. I went ahead and ordered the Chilean Sea Bass ($37) with mashed potatoes and seasonal vegetables (spoiler alert, it was asparagus). When I tell you this thing was good, I mean it. It was flakey and buttery soft; the melt-in-your-mouth kind of way! Even with a full stomach I am daydreaming about eating my leftovers... To top it all off I had the Blueberry Bread Pudding ($12) for dessert. It was delicious and was the perfect ending to a wonderful meal! And of course, you can't leave without exiting through the "gift shop". I made out like a bandit with 3 bottles of wine.

I've had more and more items and the food has definitely gotten tastier! Top 3 items for me: Shrimp Scampi Mushroom chicken Filet mignon pasta Also, service is top notch!

I love this restaurant, the ambiance is amazing, the food is very tasty. Plenty of parking, lots of nice things to see and shop for. But back to the food, they serve nice portions everything I've had here is very good. Todays selection was a rib eye steak sandwich with fries and filet mignon stir fry that they serve with salad. For desert a delicious cream brûlée soooooo tasty. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant for a girls day, date night, family dining everything is a plus you will not regret the experience. Ooooo I almost forgot the staff is super helpful, attentive and just very nice.

Amazing food. The wine was superb! I had the shrimp and scallop paste. The bread was soft and warm and the service was great.

This is the go-to restaurant for most of the people from my workplace as it is but a stone's throw away. I have had both their salmon and sea bass offerings and can say that I enjoyed them both. Seared ahi tuna salad is still my favorite so far. When I was on my high protein diet, I opted for the steak and scrambled egg whites. The last time I was feeling ravenous I went for the regular steak and eggs then polished off the country potatoes too, plus a slice of their rich chocolate cake. I didn't have a shred of guilt afterwards. Maybe it was the people I was dining with that made the experience a lot more enjoyable to me than to some, so Madalena's is definitely up there in the choice for a good restaurant to have lunch and hang out at before going in to work.

Came for a family reunion. The food order is similar to a fast food place. Order up front, pay, and some items you could take right away like the desserts. The entrees will be brought to your table. Pleasantly surprised with the flavor of food. Ordered eggplant pasta, prime rib, tiramisu, and creme brûlée. Left the place with a happy stomach. The restaurant is located inside the San Antonio Winery. Ample parking space.

This restaurant next to my house under 5mins, i love coming here. Staff was friendly and food was great. The menu had a wide variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood dishes they had. The presentation of the food was also impeccable. The flavors were well-balanced and the portions were generous. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience and I can't wait to come back again.

I used to go to Maddalena Restaurant for lunch at least once a week when I used to work in the area. The food was always good and still is. Even with the COVID restrictions, Maddalena has managed to maintain their standards. Back in the day, the menu items for the day were displayed in front of the dining room. There is/was always a great selection of sandwiches and pasta. I used to always order whatever the ravioli was at the time and round it out with a bowl of soup and a glass of Maddalena Cabernet. The atmosphere was always warm and welcoming. Music was always playing in the background and Nino was always a very gracious host and most of the time you'd see Maddalena herself in the restaurant. Things are a little bit different now because of COVID, but the food and great service are still the same. The Mrs. and I stopped in at the San Antonio Winery last Sunday and decided to have lunch. At at this point, Maddalena is only serving take out and the food isn't displayed like it used to be. Since I'm a big fan of chicken salad sandwiches, I ordered the Chicken Tarragon sandwich with a side of coleslaw. It was one of the best chicken salad sandwiches I've had. The Mrs. ordered the steak sandwich and raved about it.

Nice option for lunch in a rustic setting. Food is akin to a catered meal quality--it's decent but reminds me of something served at a wedding. On my most recent visit I got the chicken of the day plate which was chicken Marsala with penne pasta and steamed vegetables. Entrees come with a very small side salad of spring greens with vinaigrette and a small slice of bread. Table service was inattentive and rushed. Once our plates were dropped off waiters did not return to check on us. For the price point and selection there's better options.

Part 1 Review: Maddalena Restaurant.  Review of winery and shop will follow. Being the only accessible winery with a restaurant in Los Angeles, @SanAntonioWinery has always been my go-to spot when the pandemic started.  It's right in the middle of LA which is easy to get to from the eastside and folks coming from the valley.   During the pandemic, the outdoor area was the only space for dining; now, dining indoor is now available which helped out with the almost an hour wait several months ago.  We walked in and headed straight to the cafeteria style ordering system.  There are meal samples right before you enter; you order, pay, given a number, and are escorted to a table either indoor or outdoor, according to your preference.  We sat indoors.  Tables were not crowded, with enough space between other dining parties. We ordered the Filet Mignon Stir Fry - which comes with tender filet, red tomatoes, onions, and chili, tossed in a pasta medley, garnished with cilantro, Spaghetti with Meatballs, and the Ribeye Sandwich - grilled rib eye, lettuce, tomatoes, grilled onions, mushrooms, and aioli dressing, on a baguette, served with french fries.  The filet mignon stir fry, according to my sister, was superb.  Highly recommended  The ribeye was also cooked nice and juicy.  The spaghetti dish was nothing extraordinary, but it tickled my tastebud's fancy as I was not craving an elaborate pasta dish.  I like it nice and simple.   Parking on a Saturday around 5p was non-existent, I had to circle around, but easily found a spot on the street along the side of the restaurant.  Parking is free.

Since we are still in the C19 pandemic the restaurant is taking all types of precautions. You order your food inside and then the waiters will bring the food to the outdoor dining area. The food was a bit pricey but the amount of food you receive you could actually share it between two people. We went on a busy Sunday to celebrate a birthday but the waiter service was great.

This is a belated review for a weekend late lunch (after 3pm). This is my first time dining here. There are plenty of parking space in the private lot or street behind the restaurant. I was told that it is cafeteria style and you have to get in line, select your food and pay for it first. I was thinking of Ikea Cafe style dining, but it's not that at all. The food ordering is truly cafeteria style. A restaurant staff took us to a nice table with table cloth. Our server gave us individual utensils in a paper bag. Our food was served in hot plates like we are in a fine dining restaurant. The staff is constantly monitoring our needs, like more ice water or my drink refill. Unbelievable!!! Did I mention that there are very nice decorations in the dining area like it's Christmas? There was also live music entertainment. I had a bowl of Italian vegetable and pasta soup. The calamari plate was plentiful, has lots of legs, and very crispy. My tiramisu was licking good. We ordered a sampler of the Stella Rosa wine. My favorite was the Stella Rosa watermelon. There are 2 unisex bathrooms near the back of the dining area. One of the staff cleaned it before I used it. I'm very happy and grateful for the timing. Most unisex bathroom in other places are full of wet pee on seat and floor. We will definitely eat at Maddalena Restaurant more frequently in the future.

I haven't been here in over ten years. Located in the San Antonio Winery. Not much has changed, the food is fantastic! After a 45 minute wait. We were finally seated ( didn't mind waiting) there is a lot to see in their gift shop and people watching is always a treat. You order your food cafeteria style and promptly seated. Our food was presented promptly which was a pleasant surprise. The food was delicious. I ordered the grilled Salmon with a cream sauce and was near perfect. My wife ordered the Lobster Ravioli which was also very tasty. Wine and appetizers made this a great meal. We will be coming back soon. My only gripe lol is there is virtually no staff help after we started eating. They never came back and we were constantly trying to flag a waiter down for service. This prevented me from giving five stars. And guess what? No leftovers! It was that good.

Celebrated a dear friends birthday today July 7th, 2021. We had the best time, as we waited for our party to arrive Bruce gave us complimentary delicious wine to sip on while we waited. As our party arrived one by one he gave everyone a tasting and made the birthday girl feel very special. We waited in line to get our food and we were seated at a nice round table. When our food arrived it did not disappoint! Everything was perfectly delicious. We were served extra bread with butter. The waiters brought us water and really took care of our party of 9. While we were sitting a elderly man was leaving and he said that was the best meal he's had in a long time. That made us so happy. We will definitely be back for more celebrations & wine!

What can I say that hasn't already been said. The staff is amazing. The folks that serve the food the gentleman and ladies who bring out the food are amazing. Keep up the great work. 1 star down for a self evaluation for improvement. I wish they had avocado is like my only gripe.

We as a family enjoy coming here to celebrate birthdays, mother's day, for no special occasion aside from the fact we want to enjoy a good meal. Depending on the time of day, the line can move rather quickly( less than 10 mins) or you can wait close to an hour on special occasions. We don't mind waiting as we switch out who is waiting in line and go wine tasting -the wine tasting does come with a cost, but if you purchase a bottle , which we ALWAYS DO, they waive the tasting fee. Once you do get to the front of the line you usually have to decided quickly what meal you will be choosing and since they have a daily variation of meals on display to choose from it can be overwhelming since everything looks so well made. This is the part that is the cafeteria set up when you tell them you want for example lasagna , you have tray, they give a meal ticket , you slide down to grab a salad or dessert , order your drink then the always lovely host seat you. The services is very well and has gone as far to get the management when I was not pleased with a spicy item on my toddler's plate and offered to switch it out. On crowded days ( the weekends) it does take a tag bit longer to get your drinks refilled but they do get back around to coming back to your table, no please do not forget to tip. Did I mention they have wine.. lots of wine.

Completely loooove this place! (Winery & Restaurant!) The cannolis are heaven! Quick & respectful service! The Sangria is the cherry on top of my usual visit to the Restaurant. If you take your time and look at the pictures posted around the the winery / waiting line area is at.. you will appreciate this place more because it is family owned and beautifully taken care of for so many years. A precious jewel right in DTLA. Don't leave without ordering a cannoli!

What a pleasant little place!! As long as I lived in LA, it took moving away to visit. Stopped in for lunch prior to wine tasting. It is set up cafeteria style. That's my only minus 1 on the star. And not even the fact that it's set up that way; just would've been nice to have someone out front to greet us and let us know. We just kind of hovered at the entrance until someone behind the counter told us where to go. So past that, great experience!! There are full dishes on display at the beginning of the food line, so no guessing about portion sizes, price, etc. Carry your tray to the table after paying (you'll get your drink when you pay) and they bring out your food once ready. Drink options include water, coffee, wine, & beer, among a couple other things. The staff is very quick, but nice and extra attentive at the same time. Breakfast was served until 1pm (went on a Saturday). I had the Chicken Chilaquiles. Quite good and I'm a fan of their tomatillo salsa! My sister's burger & fries were tasty too. One of the owners was floating around - Nino - making sure everyone was taken care of. A lot of places don't have that special touch. Thumbs up to this place!!

An awesome experience with a great menu, great wine, and awesome ambiance. Great for big groups and make sure you get time to talk with the owners or their family, a great time. I immediately got the feeling I was in an upgraded Nordstrom cafe. The cling-wrapped meals up front in lieu of a menu, prepped tomato soup, pretty eerie.

This restaurant was such a disappointment, I came here a few years ago for a Christmas party dinner and enjoyed it so much, then I returned yesterday and brought my 2 daughters and a friend and was so disappointed, once we paid for our meals and sat down it was as if we were invisible, our food was brought to our table and that was the only time we saw a server/waiter, dont get me wrong they were there but never returned to see if we were enjoying ourselves, if were need something, which we did ,as they dashed by I was able to ask 3 servers for parmesan cheese, by the way I'm still waiting on it, also asked for a refill on our waters still waiting on that too. It's a beautiful restaurant and food was good. But I think I have received better service from jack in the box's drive thru. Soo sad and soo bummed. Not sure if we'll ever return which is sad too.

Tucked at the North/East end corner of San Antonio Winery tasting room next to the shop is Maddalena Restaurant. The place tried to make the impression that you are dining outside the concrete urban jungle of Los Angeles, in some way, it worked, it feels homey, country and relaxed. First thing you'll notice upon arrival at this place are a couple tables filled with prepared dishes covered in plastic wrap, it is literally what they offer and have in the menu for the day, pick what tickles your palate, follow the line, tell the guy behind the counter your pick, grab desserts and drinks if you want and then pay your tab at the end of of the counter as a server finds you a seat. Though efficient and expedites the ordering process, this ordering process in a way made me feel like Maddalena is a glorified cafeteria with servers in their black and white uniform and managers in their semi-formal attire, somewhere along the upscale feel of doing a wine tour and tasting, Maddalena Restaurant in my honest opinion does not do justice to the ambiance and feel that they have successfully established. Let's get to the food! Those dishes at the front table really looks good, the selection aplenty and really appealing but it's the taste that will be the ultimate judge. My first visit at Maddalena was at brunch with my brother and his family, I ordered the Linguini with Scampi. The dish comes with a plate of salad, a good hunk of baguette and butter. Their bread was amazingly fresh, together with the butter -- delish! The Linguini on the other hand although freshly cooked failed to impress, the shrimp was delicious, the linguini pasta-perfectly done, they just missed on the flavor, it is bland which could very much use an additional dose of Salt & Acidity. It is not bad, it's just plain bland, giving credit where it is due, their servers are very nice and attentive and the place which for me factors in the overall experience. So I've decided after my first unimpressive visit to give them another go together with my office crew, which honestly I'm glad I did, I decided to get a different meal- a salad but unlike your ordinary salad - Dante's Steak Salad, lovely slices of medium rare steak tops a mound of spring mix, drizzle the Italian dressing and you've got yourself a nice refreshing, generous and filling serving of steak and greens! This one I highly recommend paired with any red that you desire or even a glass of Maddalena's many bubbly whites such as their moscato d'asti..yum! Together with this dish we got a dessert plate of Cannoli and Tiramisu. The Tiramisu is good, the Canoli's however needs a touch more of sweetness, it's ok but not exactly getting a repeat performance for my own taste. For our Friday lunch today, my officemates and I decided to grab our lunch at Maddalena once again! For a change, I ordered the Parfalle with short ribs and a glass of White Zinfandel, the dish comes with a serving of salad and french bread. I also ordered the Soup of the Day which for today was a very rich and creamy clam chowder. The SOTD was Deeleeeciousss! So creamy, rich and flavorful not to mention packed with clam goodies!! However I Wish I could say the same for the Parfalle, I am beginning to think that their dishes was more like "Old people food" (you kno what I mean) as once again, it was bland. It is a shame as the shortribs pieces are very nice and tender, it just lacks the flavor to really excite the palate..sad. Overall, the selection at Maddalena was aplenty but like what my initial thought was- it's the flavor that's really the ultimate judge, the food is fine, mediocre at best. Will I be back? Maybe, yes, but most likely not for any pasta dish anymore or just for a very light lunch.

Located inside the San Antonio Winery, Maddalena serves up Italian American food at mostly reasonable prices. The food here is good. Not stellar, just good. Dishes range from $10-$30 and choices include sandwiches, salads, pasta and steak. The variety is very conventional. Spaghetti, cobb salad, chicken parmesan and shrimp linguine are among the popular dishes. They have plates on display at the restaurant entry so you can see what you're getting yourself into before you order. I was initially skeptical of the cafeteria style of ordering. Take a tray, place your entrée order and pick up goodies like salad, dessert and even wine down the line. Nonetheless, the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Like I said earlier, its good but not stellar and it's safe in its simplicity. The best part about Maddalena, however, is the ambiance. I love the stacked wine barrels and romantic lights. It's elegant with old world charm, yet casual and comfy. It's self seating and great for small and large groups. Overall, a great place to end a fabulous afternoon of wine tasting.

I must say I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I had heard it was cafeteria style so I was expecting Cliftons but all you take on your tray is water, dessert, and bread plus the little placard showing what you order. The waiters bring out the rest. Martin was a great server. Ambiance was nice. We were there for Sunday brunch and I had the steak and eggs. Food was well prepared and a good serving. We also split was Lasagna which was very good. I can't believe it took me this long to come here. The store is well stocked with all the San Antonio wine labels and Santo Ribol was serving a nice port wine sample. Their hospitality is exceptional.

The atmosphere is nice, the food is decent, but the service is outright awful in this restaurant. We asked for water, our waiter never brought it out. We paid for extra Alfredo sauce, it was not brought out. We asked for it, it was sitting under the heat lamp for a while, until I made eye contact with our waiter who visibly saw I was upset at this point, and he quickly grabbed the Alfredo sauce and brought it to us. He was literally standing by it doing nothing. The restaurant was probably 1/3 full. I understand if it was busy, but it wasn't. Just bad service overall, and for the price you pay, I'd expect better. San Antonio, do better please.

This review is for the hostess, Irene. I went to this restaurant 2 months ago for the first time and had a great time so I decided to take my aunt for lunch today, a day before Mother's Day. Irene told me to get a beeper if it's just a table for two since the line is for bigger groups. (The first time we went, we just fell in line, gave and paid our order to the cashier and our order were delivered to the table.) When the beeper finally buzzed after about 45 minutes, I was told by Irene that I can now fall in line??? So I asked her, why should I fall in line now? You told me to get a beeper earlier, I could just have fell in line and she said, "well, you could have." ??? Wow, what a customer service!!! (or lack thereof) I didn't even know where to begin... We were upset, not to mention hungry! We ended up dining at the outdoor restaurant 1917 and my aunt bought a box of wine after but that experience with the Maddalena Restaurant hostess, was just terrible!!! To the Maddalena Restaurant management, I'm not sure if that is your process or what is the process for getting a table, but you have to do better because our experience today was totally unacceptable!!! Diners beware!!!

great food, cozy interiors, friendly service staff. overall, the mood is casual-chic.

We always have our holiday lunch here with my coworkers. They have really cute holiday decorations. Inside the restaurant is spacious and they have someone singing holiday songs every year we go there. Food: I love their pastas. I usually get their shrimp pasta and Ahi Tuna salad. This year, I decided to go with their Pasta with Filet Mignon. This dish is good, but a big spicy for me. For desserts, they added creme brûlée and flan. AND I love both desserts. For wine, you can either bring your own wine that you purchased from the winery or simply get a bottle or a glass from the restaurant.

Nice restaurant to visit including the gift shop. Food was good. Liked that you could see the food displayed before you order. We went on a Sunday. It gets crowded. The only thing I didn't like was that the sax player was too loud. I liked the music but you couldn't converse with the loud music in the background in addition to the din from the restaurant in general. I would suggest that the sax player not use a mic. I think this would help and he would still be heard throughout the restaurant.

Well well well....this is my 200th review on yelp...gotta make it count...and this place makes the cut. I came here on a Saturday afternoon to celebrate my 25th birthday. I had only heard of great things about San Antonio winery so I wanted to check it out, and have a cool dining experience in the restaurant. The wine tasting area was insanely packed, so we decided to start with a late lunch/early dinner. The set up of the restaurant is cafeteria style with you seeing sample dishes of the entrees and choosing from there. They have a variety of options such as spaghetti, lasagna, fillet mignon, sandwiches, and salads. The cesar salad interested me because it looked really good with the avocado slices and chicken, so that's what I got. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon and it came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The filet mignon ended up to be overcooked when he asked for it to be medium. We didn't want to send it back, so he just ate it. This alone should knock off a star, but they let us sample their homemade sangria, which was pretty good, so I'll keep it at 5 stars.We also picked out a bottle of the Stella rosa moscato d'asti to pair with our food. It turned out to be an excellent wine and we finished the whole bottle. The whole meal was about $60. The wine was $15, but interestingly they sell it in the restaurant for $9. I'm guessing if you bought it in the store, and brought it over they will end up charging you a corkage fee anyways to make up the difference or maybe go over. The place was nicely decorated for easter, even though it was going to be closed on easter sunday. The placemat also had the history of the winery, a description of the selection of wines, and a list of winery events for 2016, which included a wine and cheese tasting, a barrel tasting, and an outdoor bbq. We did not get to do the tour because it took a while for us to enjoy our dinner, but that's ok. It gives me an excuse to come back!!!! :)

Love this place. Located inside one of my favorite places in LA. The San Antonio Winery! Good food and decent service. I say decent because its a cafeteria style restaurant but there are servers that do assist you with table side service. If you haven't tried it out its an LA must Yelp peeps! You won't be disappointed!

Omg! This is the best Restaurant & Winery. We were greeted at the outside (waiting area) where we were offered tasting of the Stella Champagne - Cranberry. Once inside we were greeted by the best waiter/bartender - "Jose". Omg he was like a personal waiter - even though we were one of his 8 tables. So friendly - happy - and welcoming. Thanks again for the experience ... we will be back!

This is a great restaurant to try. Came here for lunch. The food choices are excellent and easily paired with their wines. Good ambiance - So hard to decide which wine to pair with my choice of dish. Tried their calamari appetizer it was yummy, also not to forget ... Generous portions so I had leftovers.

Great place to gather with friends and I did. My friend came down from Northern California and we enjoyed yummy food and great conversation. The service has always been pleasant and attentive. They have something for everyone, chicken, fish, steak (ribeye) and vegetarian dishes. When you're done you can do some wine tasting. A wonderful touch to our meal was the live music playing.
