Yelp
Stunning. It was my first time visiting the store, as I had been meaning to go thrifting for a while and was trying out a handful of locations, but this store seemed the most promising, partly due to the fact that the proceeds go towards such a thoughtful cause.
The interior of the store was cute and chic, unlike a typical thrift store, but very much like a sweet boutique. The large sale prices labeled on racks quickly convinced me that it was worth the treasure hunt. In a matter of minutes, I was able to find 5 items from the $8 and $4 rack to give a try. Keep in mind that it's a thrift store after all; not all items will be in your size, and there may very likely be only one on the rack. My selection was whittled down due to the incorrect sizing, but just looking around made me realize what a steal everything was. Designer items can go for as cheap as $15, even when they're in mint condition. Many items still have tags on.
The kicker was the lovely little event that was going on today, as it was the second Tuesday of the month. The shop offered free coffee and delicious pastries from their sister cafe, all for you to enjoy when shopping. Though the pastries were not enjoyed by me, it's little business tactics like this that make the customers remember this little store. I was able to pick up a few great accessories in addition to my haul, and absolutely felt inclined to buy some handmade goodies from the ladies at the store (they have candles, repurposed journals, and soaps!). Remember that all your money goes towards a fantastic cause. I'll definitely be back to support this business again.
