This store is one of those secret shopping nuggets in DTLA. The clothes and items are in amazing condition (even tho most are used) and the style is trendy. The chance to pick up something for your closet is real here and the service is amazing. Add that you help a good cause when you purchase items and that means you look good while doing good.

I was made to feel uncomfortable almost as soon as I walked in. The store clerk greeted us as we walked in and she was friendly enough. But as she saw me starting to flip through a rack of sweaters, she made a suggestion that I visit the "curvy boutique" because most items out on the main floor were smalls or mediums. I immediately felt embarrassed. You don't know who or what I'm shopping for. You don't know what clothes fit my body. I can figure out for myself what clothes work for my size and which ones don't. For reference I usually wear a small or medium top and I'm a size 10-12 bottoms. I know this is considered "plus" in the fashion world, but I'm not asking for advice. There are plenty of items in the store that I could have easily fit into, but after that comment I had no interest in shopping further. I don't truly believe the comment was meant to be offensive, but it was embarrassing. I won't return

This boutique offered incredible, unique styles (including some higher end pieces if you're looking for ups ale pieces) curated by amazing staff. Unfortunately I cannot remember the staff member who consulted my partner and I while we shopped for a wedding we had that weekend. They made it so easy. There were not that many plus size pieces. I cannot speak to how frequently they change stock to say this observation was an anomaly or not. This is a great consignment store for all....especially if you are monitoring WHERE and WHO you give your money. All customers support women in transition out of homelessness/ abject poverty. We all win.

I hate that I had to be honest, but 5 stars to the friendly staff, and the support it goes to women's shelter. But the 3 stars is that it's because it's no longer that thriving chic boutique it use to be - I agree w/Meg T's review, the clothing is now catered to the young ones, Millennials, petite hipsters (again younger), and anyone that can fit those sizes and not looking for professional office or just simple cute regular day clothes. I don't think they carry plus sizes anymore either and the little random cheapy sales of $2, $3, $4 & $5 are no longer, as it's close to $10 - Still a great deal, but not if the sizing it's under 9. :( Well, it's still an excellent cause to benefit those women, so I will go now & then to look at the candles and jewelry.

This boutique is beautifully curated with lots of cute clothes (sizes varying w an equal variety from S to 3X). Great deal for clothes mostly $15 with a few priced up or down slightly. I LOVEEE that it is sustainable resale fashion & a job opportunity program. The ladies running the shop were helpful and lovely!

Just found this shop and what can I tell you definitely my new place to visit once a week they have such beautiful variation of clothing that getting to the store on the daily basis great prices amazing customer service really really great customer service and all for a greater cause highly recommend.

This was an adorable store near a women's shelter, where all proceeds go to help women in need. While browsing the store, I saw several fun things, and the pricing was on target, but for the things I tried on the sizing was a bit off. Almost like in between or junior sizes - and the quality (some Zara labels) wasn't super high across the board. Looking at the pictures from 2013, it looks like the type of clothing they sell has changed slightly and is more club vibe, than cocktail party or work attire. The service was friendly, but the area isn't super conductive to foot traffic and seems slightly unsafe. I like the item I purchased, but MADE definitely caters to a younger voice and unfortunately it really isn't my aesthetic any longer.

I love everything about MADEbyDWC. I can't wait for it to reopen. In the meantime, I am enjoying shopping online. Just purchased items from the new line. The Papua New Guinea coffee is excellent and the mug keeps my coffee warm for hours. Thanks for making shopping and supporting women so easy. Amazing staff that are creative and set a high standard of excellence. Worth the journey when they re-open. Busy the coffee on the back of the bag it also tells the story of MADE breaking the cycle of chronic homelessness.

Great exploring so many lovely things. It seems citrate the pieces carefully selected and placed so you get really good resale deals. Bags shoes dresses, everything designer brands fit a good cause, what more can u ask for?

This store is AMAZING! I always come here when I'm shopping downtown, and have NEVER been disappointed, even if I don't purchase anything. The staff are GREAT, and make the experience so pleasant! I will be donating here because of my multiple experiences here; and knowing that the clothes will go to a great cause really makes it that much more worthwhile. Definitely stop in if you can find the time!

This place is awesome! Great staff and their prices are very reasonable. Pretty displays and easy to navigate through their selections. AND, they are helping out homeless women. C'mon it's a win, win!

I just love this place. I run a decluttering business, and no matter how many bags I have to drop off or how late in the day I arrive, the staff are always so warm and helpful. I love the amazing smells that waft through the store whenever they're pouring soap and candles in their workshop through the back. It's so nice to know that my donations will help raise money for women in need, but also anything they can't resell in the store ends up going to the ladies in transitional housing next door. I love the vibe here, and I always end up grabbing candles and soaps for my gift-giving needs--I can't help it! They smell incredible!

I love this place! It's walking distance from my job, so when I want to get in a good walk I come here. They put in new stock daily. I could come at the beginning of the week and at the end and find a whole new set of merchandise. My absolute favorite thing about this thrift store is that it is run out of the women's home in Los Angeles and all the proceeds go to helping them. They do job training as well. The ladies working there are always so nice and hard working. They are pushing stock out and preparing it for pricing. Come here for the $1 and $2 racks! The clothes are thoughtfully picked through and the quality is amazing for a thrift store. I have bought clothing with the original price tags on them for $1. I recently bought a Free People dress with a $130 price tag for $5! If that's not an awesome deal I don't know what is. I also love how they package your items. They are wrapped and bagged boutique style. Seriously that is the feel shopping here. It definitely does not look like a thrift store. Happy shopping, you will not be disappointed with this place.

I was so happy to find a great place to donate to. MADE has gotten all my expensive impulse purchases and vintage 1950s and 1960s pieces that belonged to my mother and grandmother. It feels good to do something meaningful with these items, and I love that they will enjoy a second life with new owners.

Stunning. It was my first time visiting the store, as I had been meaning to go thrifting for a while and was trying out a handful of locations, but this store seemed the most promising, partly due to the fact that the proceeds go towards such a thoughtful cause. The interior of the store was cute and chic, unlike a typical thrift store, but very much like a sweet boutique. The large sale prices labeled on racks quickly convinced me that it was worth the treasure hunt. In a matter of minutes, I was able to find 5 items from the $8 and $4 rack to give a try. Keep in mind that it's a thrift store after all; not all items will be in your size, and there may very likely be only one on the rack. My selection was whittled down due to the incorrect sizing, but just looking around made me realize what a steal everything was. Designer items can go for as cheap as $15, even when they're in mint condition. Many items still have tags on. The kicker was the lovely little event that was going on today, as it was the second Tuesday of the month. The shop offered free coffee and delicious pastries from their sister cafe, all for you to enjoy when shopping. Though the pastries were not enjoyed by me, it's little business tactics like this that make the customers remember this little store. I was able to pick up a few great accessories in addition to my haul, and absolutely felt inclined to buy some handmade goodies from the ladies at the store (they have candles, repurposed journals, and soaps!). Remember that all your money goes towards a fantastic cause. I'll definitely be back to support this business again.

This place is wonderful and for so many reasons: 1. Great selection of vintage/thrift clothes, shoes, belts and purses. 2. Awesome homemade gifty things like earrings, soaps, candles (they have a cute line of repurposed tea cup candles), journals, cards and seasonal items like Christmas ornaments. All made by the ladies of DWC. 3. All the money you spend goes right back into the DWC helping all of the ladies get a chance at rebuilding their lives. 4. Plus it's super cute and fun to shop at. FYI, this is a separate location from their cafe which also has a gift shop. This was my savior during the holidays. I got almost all of my Christmas shopping done here (okay, and maybe a blouse or two for myself)-- one-stop-shop!

Great location to drop off items and support a great organization. I pulled up with a few bags and had no problems at all delivering washed clothes and clean books and accessories.

What a cute little store with a lovely layout! Some great finds at excellent prices. I really like the concept behind this shop, as well. Always like "recycling" clothes and supposing anything that benefits the community.

I found this shop by accident. I did not realize it was a thrift store until I saw the prices and signs. The boutique is really nicely decorated and the employees were nice. There was a lot of cute finds! You can also find a few brand name items here. I will definitely be coming back. I spent $10 on 5 cute dresses. I'm beyond happy!

Cute! Like goodwill but in boutique form. You find nice things when you take a good look at things. Came on a sale day so most of my stuff was 50% off :)

Visited here for the first time today and I cannot recommend it enough! The ladies who work here (Sharon I talked to most) are super friendly and nice. I scored a 100% cashmere sweater for $10 and two other cashmere/silk blend tops for $1 and my friends got some pretty cool cardigans and jackets for less than $15 as well. The money spent here goes towards a great cause so it's really worth making a trip out here. The items are nice quality, well-priced, and the service is great.

This shop (and their other cafe/boutique on San Pedro) is a fabulous place for cute handmade gifts and vintage clothes that also benefits women learning skills in the area. Clever and well made crafts for really reasonable prices. The clerks are friendly and helpful, and when I mentioned that one item was a gift, they gift wrapped it w/o me even asking. I come to this place and/or their other shop nearly every time I'm in LA and always have unique gifts (along w good cause) to give pals. Love this spot.

The best dress in my closet was purchased here! It's hit or miss, obviously, as sometimes I leave empty handed. I think prices are high for thrift shopping, but that's because it's a boutique. My dress was priced at $12. I thought that was expensive for a simple, used, cotton dress.

I was there today and really what is there not to like about this place. Nice and pleasant store and staff. Items are great. I purchased a cute purse today. Shopping for a cause makes it even better! Thumbs up.

Friendly service ! Impeccable, neat and organized. I love the handmade gifts that give back to the community - especially the packaging on the soaps and candles. Maybe a suggestion for holiday time would be create gift baskets or themed gift sets ?

This shop is a little gem in LA that people need to come and visit. There are a lot of really unique items if you're into vintage, retro you name it. The staff is really nice and friendly. I'm glad my husband works around the corner that means i'll be visiting him and this store more often!:3

Best kept secret vintage shopping in LA! Inventory is immaculate, about 1/3 designer clothes, store is super cute with nice dressing rooms, and there's just the right amount of clothing and accessories on the rack so not overwhelming. And $10-$15 100% silk blouses w all profits to DWC makes it 5 stars.

Amazing costumer service! As soon as you enter you feel welcomed to look around! I love shopping at this boutique every time I visit LA, it is my one pit stop for cute clothing, shoes and jewelry, not to mention being part of a great contribution!
