I had a great experience at the Washington Square Made in Oregon. Alexia helped us out select a Pendelton blanket for a closing gift for a special client. Alexia was friendly and helpful . You could not ask for a more knowledgeable sales associate .

Made In Oregon offers an excellent selection of locally crafted products, ideal for gifting or personal use. Their diverse inventory encompasses a wide array of items, including food products and accessories. Highly recommend visiting this establishment to explore their products.

I was shocked at how I was passively pushed aside by the manager. I was visiting to buy some gifts for my grandmother and to chat with the staff there. I loved seeing the new products and hearing about them everytime I visit. One of the staff introduced me to the manager as I was browsing gift ideas. However, the manager decided to cut our conversation off immediately, comanding the staff I was talking with to stop chatting and come with her. I felt uncomfortable and pushed away, like "buy something or get out" as if I was at fault for talking with the staff as I was browsing. I ended up leaving (and I think a nearby customer who heard also left) and felt embarassed if I bought something. I decided to buy my grandmother gifts somewhere else in the mall. I really want to visit again and keep buying gifts at this location, but if I see the current manager again, I will skip and just buy gifts somewhere else...

Google
I love supporting this local Made in Oregon store, always a one stop place for any type of Oregon souvenirs. The staff here are so friendly and their prices are very affordable on most items. Everytime I come here they have unique items that will help you remember your visit to Oregon.

Google
Great gifts and souvenirs from Oregon! Staff was incredible— Claire was such a delight and so kind! Check this place out.

Google
I LOVE the Made in Oregon store. I may be a little biased being a native Oregonian but I'm very proud. Everything at their store is gorgeous and fun and unique. It can be a bit on the pricey side but it is totally worth it. Great place to bring out of town guests or buy gifts for locals. They do sell Pendleton products and UO/OSU and Timbers/Blazers stuff. They have a great selection of artisan jewelry and wine/food products. My favourite purchase from this store ever, was my Rainglobe. It's like a snowglobe but with Rain because we live in the PNW. I love it. Great place!

Google
It's a lovely place, filled with wonderful items. The employees are friendly and very attentive 💙

Yelp
Even though I live in Portland, I always pop in a Made in Oregon store when I see one. So many items to explore! As a foodies, I especially like the food items. Lots of chocolate covered hazelnuts and cherries, jellies & jams, hot sauces, hard cider and beer, to name a few. Plus fun aprons, shopping totes and other kitchen items. Great coffee table books on Oregon, and more specific books on hiking trails, scenic drives and even cookbooks are available. Sweatshirts, t-shirts, jewelry, key chains, stickers, candles, tie dye and Sasquatch items of course! Fun to browse and service reps always available if you need help.

Yelp
Made in Oregon is one of the very last of the original shops remaining in Washington Square. The mall has been open for a little more than half a century now, but more than 90% of the stores have been replaced since then. Not sure if this one was there from day one of the mall, but it's definitely been there since the late 70s or early 80s. Anyhow, the selection is still pretty darned good. The quality of the products is generally high. The problem is that the prices for most items is too high. There are some "OK" prices, but very few that I would call "a good deal." Today I bought 3 shot glasses for $19.99. Not bad. But there were some other things that I would've bought if the pricetags hadn't been so high. Anyhow, I'm glad Made in Oregon is still around!!

Yelp
I really love this store! When I lived in the Seattle area, I visited the "Made in Washington" stores many, many times, as I love seeing what's happening, artistically and gourmet food-wise, on a local scale, and I love supporting local businesses. This Made in Oregon store is modeled on the same premise: showcasing and selling state-made and state-inspired goods and foodstuffs. A sampling of what you will find here: locally grown and made or harvested honeys and jams and chocolates, ciders, t-shirts and hats, games and puzzles, artwork (painting, prints and sculptures), ornaments, ceramics, jewelry pieces, decals and souvenirs (all higher-end and well-made. Lots with a Bigfoot theme), drinking glasses and mugs, kitchen towels and more. If you need to get someone a gift from Portland that you can't find elsewhere in any other state, this is the place. (I've a neighbor who does me a lot of favors, and she loves trying chocolates from different places, so this was a great store to get some gourmet local OR chocolate for her). You'd be hard-pressed not to find something for any specific person, truth be known. Yes, prices are high, but whenever one shops artisanal hand-made items or niche, local products, prices are always high. At least the quality and the uniqueness is there, and you are supporting local artists and a local economy.

Yelp
Good selection of many local items. Some fun Sasquatsh things we giggled at. We were looking for items for a gift basket. This store is in the mall and is on the pricier side of things. Friendly employees asked if we needed help and if we were finding everything ok. Checking on us several times. You can purchase the reusable Made in Oregon Bags here as well.
google avatar

Trisha M.

Yelp
Our experience was that they refused to help us with a shipping error, which ended up costing us 50% more to correct on the already overpriced items. Next time, I'll pack and mail my own gift box. There are better gift stores in Portland. Don't support this one.

Yelp
**COVID REVIEW** Social distancing was no issue when we popped into the store as we were the only people in. However, the staff wore a mask and so did we. The prices are pretty steep compared to what you can buy items for at other stores, but hey, ALL of it is convenient one place so buy all your Oregon treasures. We stopped in to buy our former neighbors in FL some local treats. We settled on a lavender candle from Oregon Candles, Jacobsen Salts caramels, some Wild Salmon, three Moonstruck chocolate bars, some roasted Oregon hazelnuts, some postcards and a Portland skyline magnet. For $50+ dollars it wasn't cheap. But I did elect to buy the Marionberry jam elsewhere as it was $7.95 compared to $4.99 at Trader Joe's. I also grabbed a couple of LBR (Little Beet Root) T-shirts for my husband and I. As I LOVE that brand.

Yelp
This store is wonderful. It's shows statehood pride and gives us tourists terrific gifts to take home. I love Oregon. It's such a beautiful state. We found a puzzle. Some jam. A few magnets for friends. I brought home handmade handpainted rocks from a local artist for my friends. They loved them! Mine is sitting here in my home office. I loved that they had sugar-free products as well. It is a great shop to see, visit, and buy gifts.

Yelp
There are nine locations of Made In Oregon stores. So far, I have visited six of them. This one is located inside the Washington Square mall close to Macy's. It is not as large as some of the other locations but it still manages to have all the usual merchandise found at Made In Oregon stores. This store sells wine, clothing, jewelry, food, arts and crafts, cards and more. The main reason I like to visit Made In Oregon stores is to shop for earrings. They have some beautiful creations here. I particularly like the sterling silver ones with various natural stones like green jasper. The three employees working here during my most recent visit were all friendly and helpful. One lady interrupted the project she was working on in order to point out to me which earrings were sterling silver, since the card isn't always marked. She was very pleasant and helpful. I bought three new pair of earrings here today and left the store very happy. I highly recommend everyone visit this Made In Oregon store.

Yelp
I've only been to this store a couple of times. I've never been terribly impressed, but always enjoy stopping in ever since the Eugene location left the mall. Sadly, I've never been impressed. I stopped in earlier in the week when I was at the mall with my buddy, Matt. We went in and it was pretty busy. We were not greeted by any employees, which was disappointing. I hate passing by multiple employees working and they don't even acknowledge your existence, but yet expect you to buy things. No, I'm not paying your salary to be an asshole and ignore me. Sorry, it doesn't work that way for me. One thing that Matt noticed when we were in here, which I've heard about before, is the fact not everything is made in Oregon anymore. The name has become a lie. He found things that were made in China and pointed them out. I find that disappointing and sad, because there are many people who go in there with the idea they are supporting a business that stays local and true to the community. Not so much. They've become every other typical corporation by outsourcing their products and still going off the Made In Oregon name. The store itself is fairly well organized with a good amount of products and selection. There is no issue there. I do think some of their prices are a bit high, especially knowing the products aren't always made in Oregon, so I highly recommend paying attention to that, as you can likely find the same thing cheaper somewhere else. Would I return? Ehh, probably not. I've become less and less impressed with the company overall as the years have gone by. Ten years ago, I would've said absolutely. Now, not so much. Review 144 of 2017.

Yelp
Name says it all. This store is located inside the Washington Square Mall. Bought a couple of beers at a fair price. Found out later that it would have costed us more at Harry and David. One of the staff was very helpful. The other staff member who helped us was just okay. They have a variety of everything here. Many unique items which are difficult to find elsewhere. So, you are sure to find something you like or want to give as a gift. Prices seem reasonable as well. If we're ever in the neighborhood again, we'd return here. Made in Oregon has something for everyone.

Yelp
Its hard for me to give less than four stars no matter how there is absolutely no one even spotted to help me or ring me up should I buy something. I say that because everything they offer is so great and really does reflect on the NW. I have filled many a difficult present for a friend or family member here and its always where I try t send people looking for local wares and such. They have such a diverse amount of interesting products that even as a native I find something all the time here. Whether you want a tshirt showcasing Portland, Oregon or some other local thing...maybe some local jams, chocolates, wines or how about a gorgeous stained glass art piece. My latest desire is this stunning handmade metal dragonfly they have which will look perfect in my livingroom.

Yelp
Much better prices than some other locations. I found staff were very helpful and I got the most amazing rose lotion there. Check out the clearance area when you're there

delia t.

Yelp
Only items actually "made in oregon" is the food. Most everything else is made overseas in foreign countries. They have a lot of technical issues making check out times very long.

Yelp
Just visited to get some souvenirs for our trip! We were greeted by the lovely Linda! She constantly checked on us and was super nice to every customer to walk in! Linda made it super easy to find things and make us feel welcomed. We will be coming back because of Linda!
google avatar

Susie M.

Yelp
A lot of stuff was taken down due to Covid, but there was still a good collection of T-shirts, coffee mugs, shot glasses, postcards, and pretty much all the other essential souvenir gifts you could need from Oregon! Prices were also very reasonable. Definitely worth a visit if you're looking for Oregon merchandise
google avatar

Nathan S.

Yelp
As expected, there is a lot of Oregonesque merchandise which could make some cool gifts or souvenirs. Some things are a bit pricey and while not everything is 'useful', it has some cool things to use as decor or simply help you rep the Beaver State! I thought customer service here was good when I went, so my experience seems to be different than many other reviews suggest.

Yelp
This store needs help. Went in here again this past Christmas and the greeter yawned in my face. I would have LOVED to have sent a nice gift basket to relatives over the holiday, but it was so crowded, unorganized and complicated, so I opted to go to Cost Plus and make my own gift basket. I'm sure they have nice products, but not worth the time...
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
This is a great shop, Everything is made in Oregon. So if you are into buying local or buying a gift for someone who wants a reminder of here, then this is a good place to come. They have all kinds of merchandise. Lots of food, some cloths, souvenirs, nicknacks... all kinds of stuff. They have been around for years, and have acumulated a great assortment. The negitive here is it seems targeted to an older customer base and prices can be on the high end. You also have to wade through a lot of stuff to find what you want.

Yelp
This is a great place to get gifts for people you will see when you travel. Whether you're looking for a hostess gift to bring when you go to dinner or for souvenir gifts, Made in Oregon has it. Their selection is incredible - can you believe almost* all this stuff is from this one state?! You're greeted at the entrance by a display of different chocolates, candies and cookies by local companies big and small. Near by are featured seasonal displays of jewelry, soaps, candles, ornaments, etc. Shelves along the wall from floor to ceiling are filled with jams, jellies, sauces and spreads. The edible section is bursting with fish, nuts, dried fruits and jerky from all over the state. The section of wine is filled with bottles at almost every price point. Nearer the rear of the store they have works in wood, metal and textiles from local artisans. Pendleton has a whole section all it's own, too. I hope I haven't left anything out! We've been shopping at Made in Oregon stores for 8 years for omiyage for people all over the country. I think we could shop here another 80 without ever buying the same gifts twice! Most recently we went here with my visiting sister and brother-in-law. They got wine, salmon, cookies and handmade pottery to take back to the east coast for friends. (Plus a bottle of wine to enjoy on the last night they stayed with us.) They enjoyed the wine tasting that was going on and were particularly impressed with the service they received. My sister said she was told twice about the wine tasting (good thing) and the counter staff wrapped all their gifts so they'd be safe for travel. I've always had great service here. Whether we needed things packed for travel or not, everything seems to be handled with care. They aren't skimping with shopping bags either - I've noticed some mall stores aren't so generous when bagging your purchases. The staff will help you put together boxes or baskets of your favorite edible and collectible made in Oregon items for a one-of-a-kind gift. Or, you can pick any of their prepacked gift boxes to send or carry with you. They're great over the phone, too. They put a box of Moonstruck truffles shaped like Beavers on hold for me to pick up with no fuss! A little secret: you can get discounted Moonstruck chocolates here immediately following any holiday or after a change in seasons. We recently got a bag of leaf-shaped mint tingles here for $5 instead of $10. (^.^) *Shhh, don't tell, but the water crackers next to the salmon aren't local!

Yelp
For tourist or people taking gifts elsewhere in the country, Made in Oregon rocks. We always go here to get any number of their different selection of in state jams and jelly's. My mom loves marionberry jam and here they have no end to the different products made from those berries. My aunt loves the scone mix. Me, I like to try and find the Eugene based Euphoria Chocolates. They have plenty of other stuff like wines, soaps, trinkets, and clothing to name a few. Anyway, it's an excellent place to purchase gifts when visiting Oregon.
google avatar

Connie E.

Yelp
The worst customer service I have experienced. Being from out of State, I wanted to buy some things that were Made in Oregon. Was never greeted by anyone as they were to focus on setting up their displays. Never asked if I needed assistance or if I had questions on anything. I did have questions.
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
I love Made in Oregon. They carry so many amazing local products including but not limited to wine, snacks and food, Pendleton blankets, magnets, OSU and UO gear, postcards, jewelry, clothing, etc. It is a wonderful place to shop for gifts around the holidays. I appreciate the speciality items they carry. If you are from Oregon or visiting it is a must visit.

Michelle P.

Yelp
An excellent company. After my last purchase, they sent me handwritten note with a gift card enclosed as a thank you.
google avatar

Molly R.

Yelp
My all time favorite place to get gifts especially for out of town guests. The staff are always very freindly and knowledgeable, ( a rare combination in retail). I got a great OSU sweatshirt for my son that was a perfect size and 40% off today. The place to get a quick drink while in the mall: Viso, high on flavor and vitamins and without the sugar rush of pop. And bacon bars. Where else in the mall can you get high quality locally handcrafted items? The majority of everything at the mall is mass produced, so this is a real treat to also support local. Added bonus: You might even fine a bird or two on something! Rock on Portlandia
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
They are as advertised. Much of it is made in Oregon. However not a lot of items that you would want or use. Do I really need an Oregon license plate keychain? And just wait for the sticker shock from the cheap imported "Oregon" branded items.
google avatar

Kathy U.

Yelp
I've always enjoyed going into this store and buying Christmas presents every year. I was just in a couple of days ago and was not given the level of customer service that I am accustomed to. Granted they were busy because of the holidays. I asked for help in the wine section and was told that I couldn't be helped because of the long line. I'll continue shopping here as I do like the products they offer.
google avatar

Robbin C.

Yelp
My daughter has been wanting a Hydroflask for several months now. She was trying to decide on which color she wanted, before an older lady with short blonde hair who works there, rudely came up to us extremely concerned that we were messing up the organization of the bottles rather than asking if we were finding what we needed. As we were standing there, she decided to start organizing right in front of us. SO RUDE and inconsiderate. Will not return to this location.
google avatar

Bronwyn E.

Yelp
This is one of the few stores at the mall that I will shop (during the handful of visits I make to the mall in a calendar year). Sometimes one needs to plan strategically though. Occasionally they will have an amazing warehouse sale online. You can order the items over the phone M-F with a real customer service representative and do store pick up to save on shipping. Store pick up is free. For example, I bought several bottles of Honeywood's "Holiday Cheer" wine for only $1.99 in January. You can't find wine anywhere cheaper than that. I have found other food items on sale like rogue creamery cheese for 70% off. These deals are fantastic. In store I have bought a Portland skyline mug, Oregon artistry prints, cards, postcards, Oregon ornaments, and myrtlewood perfume bottles. They also sell Pacifica products. I would say about 85% of the store is local products. I have also bought Oregon rain soap, and other local lavender lotions here. If I need to get holiday presents: this is a place I can rely on. The store has moved a few times, and when they get busy the store feels a bit crammed. Otherwise, this place is a gem. One of my favorite places to shop.

Beti P.

Yelp
I stopped in today at Made In Oregon. I won't be setting foot in any of their stores again unless they make some serious changes. They were selling MADE IN CHINA items in this store: ball caps, t-shirts, even a Baggallini bag - WTF?! The hats and t-shirts at least had an Oregon-related logo. But a Baggallini bag? How does that say "Oregon" exactly? I was outraged but when I Googled it, I found that this is not new information. KATU and NPR did a stories on it last year and Willamette Week in 2006! I think it makes me feel worse that they are still doing it. There ARE American manufacturers of clothing - right now I'm wearing t-shirt, jeans, socks and underclothes all made in the US. This company comes across as trying to represent Oregon. If they can't do that, the least they could do is support the US.

Carlos B.

Yelp
I did not appreciate the tenor of a conversation between an Asian-American cashier and another customer belittling those customers who miss the start of the line sign. It was condescending and disrespectful to all of those subjected to the conversation.
google avatar

Claire P.

Yelp
This is such a great Made in Oregon store. They have an extensive selection of quality, interesting products from all over Oregon. They also really value hiring a diverse workforce, including hiring people with disabilities. The management and staff are genuinely kind and care both about the quality of their products and the care of their customers.
google avatar

erik r.

Yelp
Local products at a local store...100% Oregon. I like to go here and pick up stuff I see at other places for cheaper (sometimes more expensive) but its nice to see MADE IN AMERICA! And as much as I hate to admit it, its the only place Ive seen the Portlandia books (ugh touristy)
google avatar

Sue L.

Yelp
Very overpriced place but interesting items for sale. Workers are nice as well. I would recommend to look for another place to purchase your souviner for a cheaper price. If you're desperate to buy a souvenir and have no other places to go, go here.
google avatar

Maria C.

Yelp
What a great place to find a gift for an international friend. Andrew at the Tigard store made great suggestions and I, ultimately, followed his advice. Andrew gave great customer service.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
The best store to find souvenirs at a reasonable price and Made in Oregon. Always bring family and friends here when visiting.
google avatar

Nancy L.

Yelp
Great selection of quality Oregon products. A "must stop" destination when I visit. The Moonstruck cocoa is incredible as is the fudge by the Brigatine monks. From food to wine to beautiful gifts, tis a pleasant place to browse &shop.
google avatar

R T.

Yelp
I needed a locally made gift for a relative and found a good selection of merchandise about Oregon. Unfortunately most of the items were made in China or Manufactured in Mexico for an Oregon Company. Another unfortunate aspect is the gift will be shipped over seas and the shipping of many of the products in bottles and jars would have been too high. Good selection of shirts and caps made in China made choosing a gift easy but not made in Oregon, sad.

C. J.

Yelp
We like looking at the gemstone jewelry when we are here. This last time that we were here though, we saw something that we didn't like. One of the workers was restocking the shelf, but how he was restocking was by going over to the box and taking food products out and then brought them over to the shelves that he was going to restock and he put the food products on the FLOOR while putting them one by one on the shelf. Food on the Floor? That is not sanitary! Didn't anyone train him?
google avatar

Jay M.

Yelp
Not very good service. We came in there to make a wine and gift basket lurches we scoped out online. We asked for some specific wineries that were listed online and when we inquired we were met with a dismissive, non eye contact answer of 'that is all the wine we have.' Not satisfied with that answer we asked about not seeing the gift baskets we seen online and then we got a few curt, 'the website is diffent than the store' and still did not make any attempt to help is any further. I mean we were asking a couple of key questions and laying down enough clues that we were there to spend some serious money on some gifts to ship. Definitely way over a hundred to two hundred dollars and not just getting a hat or something. Definitely need some management involvement with teaching selling and customer service skills to be more profitable, drive sales and retain customers. We left and will not shop there again. William Sonoma, Trader Joes, New Seasons and New World Market will have all the items we want to build these gift baskets with. Talk about disappointing.

Yelp
Was looking for a souvenir for my 3yo. My wife and I were looking for jewelry in particular. Just after making our way through the threshold of the store an employee approached my wife and told her directly in a stern voice, Do not take your child over to the jewelry section and let her play with the jewelry." We had not even mentioned to each other what we were looking for let alone ask for assistance in finding what we were interested in shopping for. My wife was astounded at the treatment she received from the employee. One other girl working there, from behind the cash register said, "Oh, I'm sure she is fine, she isn't even touching anything, her hands are in her pockets." But after being abruptly approached without a welcome or a how do you do, but only with a forceful DON'T TOUCH! slap to our face we immediately left the store. Never will I shop there or enter. Get your Oregon stuff from the direct source, do not bother to support this foolish store. Oregon has some of the nicest people in the continental United States and this store does not represent this. Go to Portland, go to Bend or any of the other great locations of Oregon to get your slice of Oregon. Just not from these poor saps.
