Google
Stumbled on this store while going to Powell, very cool local goods. Extremely expensive, I didn’t end up buying anything. But very neat things in here. Would highly recommend, love supporting artists and the things in here were great. Very clean, and friendly staff. Limited paid street parking in the area.

Google
Nice stuff! Very expensive. I’m not sure how anyone can afford to get more than a t-shirt for a loved one here. It’s nice stuff, but yeesh.

A Pham

Google
Lovely store with a variety of great products from jewelry to candles to wallets and more. I even spotted some local, small businesses owned by people of color being sold in-store. I’ve been here a couple of times but haven’t been greeted nor spoken to by staff during any of my visits, though I notice guests who come in after me are engaged with and greeted. A bit off-putting.

Google
I stopped in to check out MadeHere while in Portland, they offer so many locally made items that showcase Portland and Oregon. There is so much to see and shop from here. I will note I was not greeted by an employee while shopping here, parking can be a little tricky at times in this area.

Doanyelle Conner

Google
Beautiful locally handcrafted products. Hugh quality. The staff was friendly. Parking was a slight challenge. A little out of my budget, but I had an enjoyable time browsing!

Ivy Manning

Google
Great shop for out of the ordinary Portland made gifts including gorgeous leather bags, clothing, and pottery. Much higher quality than crafty wonderland imho.

Christine Mamuad

Google
Quality selection of local, creative goods ranging from artisan leather to artisan chocolates, at prices that you pretty much would expect for the quality you get. It's like the Saturday Market except nicely ensconced indoors.

Andrew Lee

Google
Great selection and assortment of goods ranging from ceramics, leather goods, clothing, sauces, jewelry, greeting cards, etc. Very convenient location near Powell's as well. Would definitely return.

Yelp
If you're into buying things that are made locally here in Portland, then MadeHere PDX is the one stop shop for it all. I came to look for a bag (shoutout North St Bags) since I wasn't able to make it to their actual store since they were closed for the weekend. But after some research, I found out that MadeHere PDX carried their bags so I made it a point to come check it out. They sell food and beverage items, stuff for your home, clothing and even jewelry. It's a pretty big store with a lot of stuff to check out. The staff working here is super friendly and super helpful during my visit. Highly recommend coming if you want to come buy souvenirs to take back home for friends or for yourself and support these local entrepreneurs that make their stuff locally.

Yelp
Holiday shopping made easy. Came for the promise of PDX/Oregon produced goods. Left with a lighter wallet than when I went in. Great selection of goods - food, clothing, local crafts. Not cheap but there's values to be had
google avatar

Mike C.

Yelp
Local centric shop. Random variety of items - from clothing, household goods to snacks and other trinkets, good for souvenir gifts. Seemed overpriced. Service was fine; didn't greet us or asked if we needed assistance, but check out was smooth. Found a couple of items to support the store, but more for outdoorsy, artisan audience, though Portland seems more grunge, eclectic, so it goes away from that for a more upscale feel.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice tourist store lol. Contains everything local made, but at a premium mark up price. Considering it's a one stop shop, you will pay for the convenience. Local artists and crafters are featured here. Treats and local delicacies are also available to purchase here. Albacore tuna, popcorn, Yuzu syrups, truffles, salts, spices and more. They will pack and wrap your items to go for you. I surprised the cashier by paying with cash. It was pretty funny as he had to find the change for my purchase. I guess payment by cash is rare here.
google avatar

Kassandra I.

Yelp
Cute shop with lots of things that are locally made. Great place to get a souvenir or shop for gifts! The staff were friendly and efficient. Everything was reasonably priced.

Yelp
So it's been around 9 years since I wrote my review of MadeHere PDX? It's still across the across the street from Powell's, and you'll find me at both places whenever I'm in town. Various Portland-area Bespoke makers have come and go over the years, with some still around (e.g., Orox) and others that are new and interesting (like Trace Design bags). And since the mix changes over time, every visit is a new and fascinating experience. Helpful staff and competitive pricing are also much appreciated.
google avatar

Yelp
Great store with amazing made in Portland goods (unlike Made in Oregon). Very well curated cool clothing, housewares and foods. Nice staff. Picked up a sweet Bench Made knife!
google avatar

Melanie D.

Yelp
I walked into the store and it is super cute. I thought I'd be able to get souvenirs, but it's more of a specialty shop. I mean, $65 for a hat, is a little much to me. It's worth walking through, but definitely know it us pricey in here!

Yelp
Absolutely love stores that take the time to curate a plethora of locally made items across a vast array of categories and house them under one roof. Saves me the time of going to all the independent shops! At MadeHere PDX you can buy a wide variety of items. Let's start with the sweets! There are decadent organic chocolate bars peppered with local berries or dried flowers or nuts. Moonstruck mint hot cocoa mix, Ranger chocolate bars, Tom Bumble Bars, Only Child chocolates and s'mores kits from 1927. And that's just scratching the surface! Lots of high end and famous food items like Jacobsen Salt products - their salted caramels are divine and their six pack of flavored salts is a wonderful gift for anyone in your life who loves to cook. I fell in love with Alchemist Jams at the Milwaukee Farmers Market, their beautiful labels caught my eye. Buy a peppered variety and pour over cream cheese, serve with crackers for an easy and delicious appetizer. There are dozens and dozens of stellar pantry items and seeing so many local brands in one collection is inspiring. The smell of leather leads me to the simple but beautiful handbags, wallets, unique leather belts, and gorgeous jackets. Even leather wine caddies, sunglass cases, totes, backpacks, travel cases. That is what makes this store so cool, they go beyond carrying the basics and extend into products you wouldn't think of! Trust me, if you are seeking a special gift that says quality, one that is timeless, you can't go wrong with any of these handcrafted leather items. Of course I always have to check out the jewelry crafted by local artisans. So much that I would buy if I hit the lottery! For the home there are textured pillows and throws, handmade chairs and coffee tables, pottery, vases, rugs, mid-century plant stands and so much more. You really need to take your time and wander around to every corner and then do it again going in the other direction. There is so much to take in. Whenever friends visit from out of state I take them here. It's such an experience! And with Powell's right across the street, it makes for a perfect afternoon. Prices are on the high side which is understandable for the care and quality that goes into the products. But there are items in all price ranges. It's a great way to spend an hour, wondering around marveling at the cool products. And leave with a dark chocolate, pistachio-ginger bar for $10, and feel like it was time well spent! Do check their website for days and hours; I think they are only open Friday, Saturday & Sunday. They also have a website for 24/7 shopping.

Yelp
Came here specifically for the Dehen and was not disappointed. This is the only shop in Portland area that sells Dehen ... The corner of the shop is full of jackets, sweaters, hats made by them. The rest of the store is sectioned off by local makers... All clearly very high quality stuff. Perfect place to go for gift shopping if you want to give someone something made locally. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
Across from Powell's books, this place is an amazing treasure trove of all things made in PDX. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how good it smelled. That's from all the perfume and candy products they made and sold in the store. The second thing I noticed were the hand crafted blades sold near by, DAMN those are gorgeous. The store is filled with beautiful objects, useful and artistic, edible and wearable that come from the local region by hand crafters. This is such an amazing store.
google avatar

Julie K.

Yelp
Maybe this was a very small site for this. I was looking for small individual Artist type work and it was more larger but still Oregon businesses. Like sock manufacturers, key chains, mugs, tee shirts, etc.
google avatar

Steve K.

Yelp
Great products at reasonable prices! A lot more variety than I expected to find: food, clothing, art. Parking can be rough at certain times of day but timing it right to avoid the crowds make it worth a visit.
google avatar

Saira K.

Yelp
It's fun visiting this shop in Portland. You get to see artwork and items made by local artists. I think this is a pretty good place to buy souvenirs or gifts. Staff was helpful.

Yelp
I absolutely love stores like MadeHere. This place is chock full of locally made products and gifts which makes it a great place to check out for a unique souvenir. It's so awesome to support local companies and artisans and the variety of items at MadeHere was wide! Price points of the items also vary widely and some things are very expensive, but there is honestly something for all budgets. I got the tiny Jacobsen's salt tin and I think it was about $5. Perfect for keeping at my desk at work! It was so fun looking around at all the different things and I wished I could buy more. Unfortunately due to limited carryon space I just got the salt and a little packet of mint hot chocolate mix that I was told is the absolute best. Looking forward to enjoying that on a chilly day! Definitely check them out for a one of a kind gift.

Yelp
Overall loved the shop and wish I could spend more time browsing the selection wish I could spend more time there because I thought the mountain beer glasses were cool I just wish they had handles on them because I'm Always worried at dropping them due to my sausage fingers. Would love to come back!
google avatar

Yelp
The store screams Portland and hipster. I have been here a couple times since its right across from Powell`s which is like my second home. They have an eclectic mix of goodies all local and mostly handmade. I have bought chocolates to gift and glasses with famous mountain ranges carved inside them. It`s fun to browse however a lot of the stuff can be found elsewhere as well . They are on the pricier side and that could be a deterrent for a lot of people in-spite of the great stuff they have .

Yelp
Fun store to walk around when taking a stroll in downtown Portland. It's cool to see some of the local products made by artists and smaller businesses in one location. I bought a bar of Alma chocolate and signed up for updates for a free little container of Jacobsen Flaked Sea Salt. They carry a large variety of jewelry, candles, tea, chocolate, soaps, cards, prints, kitchen ware, etc. Check it out if you're in the area!
google avatar

Yelp
LOVE this store!!! If you're ever in Portland, I highly recommend stopping by here, and getting some locally made goodies and treats!!! My shopping bag usually contains: - quinn's candy (chai latte lollipops) - an assortment of chocolates There's also another Made Here PDX shop inside the Hilton Hotel in downtown! Check them out and support local businesses!
google avatar

Yelp
I was so happy to discover this store on a "Top 100 places to visit in Portland." Everything in this store is locally made. There's a wide variety of specialty items: beautiful handbags, leather belts and wallets, pottery, jewelry, organic chocolates... My husband & I bought quite a few things in this store (a baseball cap, a tote bag that I had to have, a cool pair of Shwood sunglasses). It's a great place to find unique gifts. If there's a woman outside the shop selling fruit popsicles, be sure to get one! They're fantastic!!

Yelp
Livin, lovin Portland, you'll be liking what hard-working, creative craftsman and artists are making--cool and functional stuff, to make us look cool struttin our stuff around this hip-town. All Made Here PDX! Check it out! We did last night. The store kicked-off an evening of complimentary whiskey, bourbon and liqueurs by an east burnside distiller and Dead Guy ale from Rogue. Sweet treats too! The place was packed--elbow-to-elbow! Stuff that perked my attention: big, comfy mohair sweaters, leather stuff, coffee stuff, scarfs, coats, glassware, even guitars, snazzy bike chain belt buckles and more stuff. So, so crowded to get a grip on all the cool stuff. All Made Here PDX! The store is across from Powell's book store. Actually, occupies Powell's building #2 which they vacated.

Yelp
Discovered this place by accident online a couple of years ago and HAD to make the trip in person. A & I can never get enough of cool handmade and local things. We've been bringing visitors by and going here ever since. Everything in the store is, as the name suggests, made here in Portland. Some brands I had read or heard about, but didn't even realize they were local. They have everything from leather goods, leather and wood bike accessories, stationery, jewelry, beer, apothecary, clothing, furniture, prints, and even a motorcycle. It's inspiring what local artists and craftsman are making these days. It will make you want everything and possibly less of a person for not having cool enough skills. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Yelp
What a cool concept. Food, clothing, art, motorcycles, guitars, kayaks, jewelry and all sorts of other odds and ends that were all made right here in Portland, locally. That's it. How simple is that? It's a fairly new place and people were buzzing about. Granted I was enamored with the motorcycle and the polished wood kayak. Although there were a few nice looking guitars as well. Most all of the food items I have seen at stores around town, New Seasons, Zupans, Whole Foods. So not much stood out there. The prices were a bit spendy as they like to say, but I did enjoy the fact of so much local stuff in one place. Really enjoyable.
google avatar

Yelp
I have always envisioned there being a store with this precise mission statement, with a hipster bent of the seminal Made in Portland store. Former for young, trendy, latter geared more for the old fogies. Though it's a colossal waste of space in prime real estate, large long tables feature local products like Jacobsrn Salt or roam Soap, pok pok Ricker's som sauce, etc So interesting to spy the various products---& a joy to scout out the ultra-chill lounge save in the rear. 3 steps from the PDX streetcar stop!
google avatar

Mia N.

Yelp
Cute store with locally made goods. Everything was pretty pricey so we did not end up buying anything, but it was a fun spot to browse. I thought the cards were especially cute. It's conveniently located right off a rail stop.
google avatar

Shelby L.

Yelp
Andrew is so amazing and helpful today. I don't usually review places but he left such a great impression that I had to make sure you knew what a wonderful team member you have!
google avatar

Yelp
I shopped in MadeHere's online store because they were the only place to get some glasses that my partner particularly fancied. Unfortunately, the hand-blown glasses ended up cracking, one-by-one, over a few months, just sitting there in the dish rack--and if the story ended there this would be an upset review. However, I reached out to Lauren, the MadeHere manager, and she did everything she could to set the situation to rights, refunding their value even though they were outside of the usual return window. And she responded promptly and with real friendliness and even kindness. I wholeheartedly recommend MadeHere and will happily continue shopping with them!
google avatar

Archana R.

Yelp
I love the collection of eclectic goods. This is so Portland. It's fun to browse in the shop. Be prepared to spend not just time but quite bit of money here :P. I plan to bring tourists here.

Heather T.

Yelp
Quality, classy clothes for casual to nice function for the King in any woman's life!

Emily A G.

Yelp
This place has a really great curation of products from local makers & small businesses. I got a sampler set of hot sauce, a cute pair of porcelain earrings, chapstick, and a gorgeous wool throw blanket, all in one trip. I'm looking forward to giving them as gifts this year!
google avatar

Jboogie L.

Yelp
I loved all the handmade in PDX items at this store. It is adjacent to Powell book store so it's totally accessible by foot. I got mushroom jerky and a granola pack from here. The price range was $10-12. There were other handmade good as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Portland is filled with local craftspersons. We like to buy durable locally made goods, and many visitors to Portland are curious about us and interested in those local goods too. Made Here PDX is a store with locally made household items, bags, some clothing, cards, guitar amplifiers, table lamps, blown glass objects, preserved food items, terrariums, bicycles, furniture and even custom motorcycles, all impeccably curated in a clean white box of a room. A much hipper Made in Oregon, it's an opportunity to discover some new makers in Portland, for visitors to Portland and for us who live here now.
google avatar

L L.

Yelp
I totally recommend MadeHere PDX. If you ask me 1 to 10 for shopping experience there, I will say its definitely a 10. I purchased a one of a kind pour over ceramic set in the store and arranged to deliver back to San Diego, when I received the package, one piece has a crack on it, I reached out to Store, Lauren made the whole process really easy. Their prompt response and fully devoted customer service made me want to go back to there to shop more to support local artist. Thank you Lauren, Thank you MadeHere PDX.
google avatar

James U.

Yelp
Super friendly All locally made products from Portland!! I love this place:) Great, bags, belts, skateboards, motorcycle, food, bitters, furniture, clothes. More and more products are available every time I come in. I am so happy that I can support local people making great products.
google avatar

Alison T.

Yelp
This is an A+ pop up store. Friendly and helpful staff,.. wonderfully local foodstuffs, skincare products, and home decor across a variety of price points ($10 and up pretty much),.. hot cider tastings (tho maybe this was a special offering at the time I was in),.. and I found a great number of little gifts for friends and family. Even the hard-to-buy-for ones. Do yourself a big favor and stop by!
google avatar

Heidi W.

Yelp
Very cool store where everything is made here in PDX...just like the name says! They have lots of different items that you can't even find at Made in OR. They had furniture bike accessories, stationary, handcarved items, purses and more. The only problem is that they are very expensive!!!!! However, they are high end and great quality....just on the pricey side. If you are looking for something out of the ordinary, they will have it. It was fun for our out of town friends too! Fun store!
google avatar

Lois C.

Yelp
Good to have a spot for locally made goods, however the pricing seems very high & I would think it's because they are in a high-rent district, not because the artists & producers are charging that much. I value handmade, local goods, just not when they are so overpriced. The store is larger than it needs to be with lots of wasted space. I think they need to rethink the model on this. I had high hopes going in but, I'm not sure they will last long with this pricing model. I will look there & when I find something I like seek another way to purchase it. It is a pretty good selection of goods and they all seem higher end. I particularly liked the different salts they had out, of course I found them cheaper elsewhere. I think this place could be pretty great & hope it will evolve .
google avatar

Sam K.

Yelp
The only thing better than quality and locally made finds is a store filled with these treasures and THIS IS THAT PLACE!! Supporting the local economy is super important and this is a fantastic way to do it and this place is 100% Sam approved. Yes. Word of advice: Come in with a budget because you'll want everything.

Heidi H.

Yelp
We were in the city a short time and needed a dog sitter gift. Hours were restricted due to COVID, but we called the appointment phone and the owner was gracious enough to open for us. Not only were we able to get the dog sitter gift (a lovely waxed canvas 2 bottle wine carrier with on board opener on a leather holster with leather handle) but a second one plus a number of Christmas gifts (leather key/coin valets, leather coasters, artisanal salt collections). The owner was packing online orders for shipment while we shopped, left us free to browse, but helped whenever needed. She even recommended a wine shop nearby to complete our gift. An extremely well curated collection with something for everyone on your list!!
google avatar

Bria W.

Yelp
Great store to pop into if you're walking around Downtown! I ended up buying a pair of Shwood sunglasses. Super cute glasses and a super cute store! They have a good variety of locally created things from candles to leather purses. A little pricey, but everything seemed to be of high quality!
google avatar

Gunter S.

Yelp
Absolutely excellent store. We found a nice variety of high quality gifts, and the people working there were really pleasant too. From the manager Lauren to the vendor Kathy to the people working the floor, top notch. Highly recommended.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
I walked it the shop and almost immediately started getting Ideas for Christmas gifts. while some prices are high, there was a good selection in the under $30 range. There were all kinds of things, cloths, jewelry, food, leather goods, candles, soaps and things for your body and even a gorgeous wood kayak! (not all categories have under $30 items). The space is good size (I think it was built by Powell's for their internet division, it was later a home for some of their collections. The staff was available to help, I think I will find a lot of gifts here ( I hope my Aunt and Uncle like what I got them here. (sorry no spoilers). Hint there is a streetcar stop outside and Powells is across the street (for more gift buying).

Yelp
You want proof that Portland is awesome? Just visit Made Here PDX. This incredibly well-curated retailer represents a cross section of Portland-area artisans, selling everything from jams to surfboards. I was particularly smitten with collection of glass vases, the leather bicycle accessories and a completely badass double-headed axe. Also, I have a thing for concert posters, and the collection is definitely impressive. While it's not necessarily a negative, it does need to be at least pointed out that this store is pretty dang expensive. Of course, high quality artisanal products aren't going to be cheap, so you certainly get what you pay for. The price point would probably too high for some people, but if you have the cash to spend, this would be a fantastic place to buy a special gift. There's a bit of a misconception that Made Here PDX is a holiday pop-up, but today I was excited to learn that they are in fact here to stay! With a location directly across 10th from Powell Books and right off a streetcar stop, they're poised to benefit from quite a bit of tourist traffic. I have faith that they'll be around for quite some time, showing off the best of local products.
google avatar

Quinn V.

Yelp
Great store to check out! I love all the local stuff in there. It is not cheap, but I think it is worth it to support the local makers. Had some of their popcorn, it was yum! Bought some cloth coasters and napkins. Good way to try out their green philosophy.
google avatar

Steven B.

Yelp
Nicely laid out and designed boutique featuring locally made products from taffy to candles to clothing to high end tote bags and back packs. Oh yea, jewelry... beautiful knives....
google avatar

Kim N.

Yelp
Unique little store that has Portland made items, by locals for sale. They had great handcarved wood items like docking stations for iPhones, ring holders, cups and bowls, several other items that were interesting. They have local jams and jellies, candles, honey, chocolates and candies. They had a varied selection of all sorts of gifts, something for everyone. Prices were a little on the higher side but considering they're handmade items they're worth it.
google avatar

Xiao Z.

Yelp
This store was kinda cool and totally unexpected during our casual stroll through the city. I didn't even know that all of the items were made in Portland (yes...the name of the store eluded me when I entered) and the prices and quality of the items were fairly well-matched. There was a really impressive PDX brewed beer selection, which my GF and I partook shortly after we left the shop. If you're looking for fancy souvenir gift ideas but doesn't want to look too touristy, this is definitely a great place to start.
google avatar

Melina B.

Yelp
Absolutely floored by the service here and what an awesome selection of jewelry and beauty goods as well as gifts ; even the flasks are cute

Yelp
This is seriously a fun store filled with unique, eclectic and interesting items. All of their merchandise is made in Portland. Everything from skincare to food items to home decor and jewelry...PDX seems to have a smattering of everything. While visiting Portland, we purchased some soap and salt for ourselves; bought candles and food items as gifts. The prices ranged from reasonable to utterly ridiculous. We spent a lot of time shopping in Portland and saw many of the same items at PDX that were at other stores. Some of the items were actually less at PDX. The employees were really nice and friendly. I also love that I was able to purchase from PDX after we returned to California. I ordered more soap online and it arrived within a couple of days. Really happy with both the store and online service. Put this on your "must shop at" list if in Portland.
