The best butchery and bakery available in Pretoria North. The sausage roll pies are truly magnificent! Prices are very reasonable. Service excellent! Amazing display of antique objects, vehicles, flags and Bigfoot vehicle. Free and totally safe parking. A must to visit repeatedly!!

Stood in a queue for half an hour only to buy oil dripping sausage rolls. Did not have any pork chops or pork sausage and they call themselves a butcher shop. What a big joke will never go there again and will tell everybody what it looks like a junk shop not a butcher.

All the primary requirements for a premium butcher are met: clean, good display and low/reasonable pricing. And also VERY apparent it is managed by a focused person. I like this and also the very apparent political leaning on display. Maders is a traditional butchery offering much value for money. Selling truly fresh and well processed meat, biltong, rusks etc. But their in house made pies are probably their best product. Very obviously the best of meat filling in homemade dough jacket. Easily the most delicious pie I have ever eaten. Nothing gimmicky, just Excellence. They only take cash, no cards but there are ATM's on site.

The quality of the meat and other products are above average. It is good value for money. Just expect to queue for a while on Saturday. It is rather busy because the butchery is so popular.

We always purchase our meat at Maders. Unfortunately you must pay in cash. But we're always happy with the meat and friendly service.

Great experience being a first time visitor. Only cash was a problem but reasonable with prices. Very interesting shop to visit for sure.
