I had eaten here when it used to be called Madras Pavilion. It was one of the go-to Indian restaurants couple years ago, then something happened, I can't remember what but probably closed for renovation or something, now its seems to be back in business under the name Indian Summers.
The interior is really well done, the colors and design is very contemporary and tasteful. I guess it raised my bar on what to expect.
It was really hot outside there's constantly excessive heat warning when you drive. Yogurt based drinks like lassi and buttermilk are kind of go to drinks at this time ( buttermilk more than lassi but I didn't see it on the menu) so we ordered lassi.
In the starters section of the menu they have both Indian and Indo-chinese options and some new ones too. We got the beet corn patty chat and the Chilli Paneer.
It took forever for the starters to come but when they did, it was hot and tasted great. The right crispy, the right spice, and got our hunger working.
Then came the lassi- it was.. stale.. ya, that's the right word, we ordered four types and none were good. I will NoT recommend it.
For main course we got jalapeño stuffed bullet naan, butter naan , roti and one North Indian thali. The sides we chose were Lasooni paneer and Veg Kolhapuri.
Lovved the naans. They were fresh and soo yummy. My fav was the bullet naan.
I went ahead with rice and dal from the thali as I had a sort of craving. Half way into the small bowl I developed uneasiness and that happens if there is too much soda in the food- which, am guessing m, there was. And I had hardly eaten 10 morsels. Not a good sign.
For dessert, there was jamun that came with the thali and the manager also got us complimentary mango mousse, both were delicious.
I would probably go again for their naans and starters.
