Google
Wonderful service and authentic South Indian food. Mr Rajan and his staff are incredible. Warm, pleasant and smiling. Can’t complain at all. Food was delicious, tasty and well served. All the best. Thanks again for everything.

Google
We have eaten there at least five times and every time we ate, we enjoyed their delicious food and caring service. Prices are standard . Ambiance is pretty nice with lot of parking. Honestly l always think of that place to take my guests to eat .

This place used to be very nice. The building still looks very grand. The food was horrible and the service was even worst. The person who received us was the hostess, waiter, chef and cashier. We were the third customer in a hall that could probably seat and couple hundred people. The food was horrible. The dahi-baday tasted as if made in lemon. The fish was ok but the somosa was petrified. Burnt and hard rock. The filling had a weird smell. All the eateries in the surrounding area had a waiting and after we ate here it was obvious why this place was deserted. Bad bad management.

Google
Delightful cuisine, with a mix of classic dishes and unique dishes (pistachio kofta is a must-try!). Flavors and seasoning are excellent. The staff are very attentive with great, personalized service. Best pistachio kofta in Houston

I had an amazing meal (Dhosa) with my parents. We also had the Chaat Samosa appetizer and paneer Tikka—I was very impressed! The service was excellent. I wish them continued success!

Google
nice place. authentic to a spot. it is all indian food. no other options available. most restaurants have one or two others choices for non-indian eating folks. i ate bread or something of the sort the entire meal while others dug in and ate. i won't go again. thanks but no thanks.

Google
I have a history with this restaurant it was the only kosher Indian restaurant in houston the good is amazing the owner is a great person. I thank him for everything he did for the Jewish community blessings Namaste

Google
the restaurant in the back there is a lot of garbage and especially in the back there is a park and it looks very bad I have not eaten in that place but if that is how they have the place disorganized and dirty it must be for food hygiene

Yelp
I have mixed reviews about this place.. The good: Friendly service. The bad: Once I got my food, I was never checked on. Didn't get a water refill, wasn't asked about my food.. and I was there for a while. In the middle: The food. The chicken thali gave me a mix of food, Some of it was delicious, others completely devoid of flavor. I personally will probably never go back. I can't do inattentive service with subpar food.

Yelp
I had eaten here when it used to be called Madras Pavilion. It was one of the go-to Indian restaurants couple years ago, then something happened, I can't remember what but probably closed for renovation or something, now its seems to be back in business under the name Indian Summers. The interior is really well done, the colors and design is very contemporary and tasteful. I guess it raised my bar on what to expect. It was really hot outside there's constantly excessive heat warning when you drive. Yogurt based drinks like lassi and buttermilk are kind of go to drinks at this time ( buttermilk more than lassi but I didn't see it on the menu) so we ordered lassi. In the starters section of the menu they have both Indian and Indo-chinese options and some new ones too. We got the beet corn patty chat and the Chilli Paneer. It took forever for the starters to come but when they did, it was hot and tasted great. The right crispy, the right spice, and got our hunger working. Then came the lassi- it was.. stale.. ya, that's the right word, we ordered four types and none were good. I will NoT recommend it. For main course we got jalapeño stuffed bullet naan, butter naan , roti and one North Indian thali. The sides we chose were Lasooni paneer and Veg Kolhapuri. Lovved the naans. They were fresh and soo yummy. My fav was the bullet naan. I went ahead with rice and dal from the thali as I had a sort of craving. Half way into the small bowl I developed uneasiness and that happens if there is too much soda in the food- which, am guessing m, there was. And I had hardly eaten 10 morsels. Not a good sign. For dessert, there was jamun that came with the thali and the manager also got us complimentary mango mousse, both were delicious. I would probably go again for their naans and starters.

Yelp
Amazing Catering service and awesome food! Super tasty and great for you neevent! I highly recommend their food!

Yelp
I got food poisoning from there. They put dairy In everything and it was full of gmo [genetically modified organism]. I should have had a steak or sushi and I wouldn't be suffering for the last two days.

Candice S.

Yelp
Amazing food. Wonderful hospitality. I love the tandoor chicken and samosa chat. Probably my favorite

Yelp
The chefs seem to be so amateur. Tasteless food with no food esthetic appeal. Must be called " Indian bummer" instead of Indian summer. This review is for dining at an event catered by them in their banquet hall.

Rahul G.

Yelp
We visited Indian Summer for lunch. The ambience is awesome. You are welcomed by two stone engraved statues. When you enter the restaurant, it has nice aroma, clean and very spacious. The tables are well arranged, giving enough privacy. Over to the food, it was excellent. My spouse ordered Non-veg Thali and I ordered Mysore Masala Dosai. One call out is the ingredients used for cooking were authentic and awesome. The food was balanced, neither oily nor dry, just perfect. I would definitely recommend this place. I have tried Dosai in many places, but honestly, this place serves the authentic Indian food. My spouse loved the non-veg Thali, which again was very high quality. 5 Stars for food, ambience and the service.

Yelp
Madras Pavilions new avtar is Indian summer. First off for appetizers we had lettuce wrap with paneer bhurji. Paneer was house made and fresh, but it would have tased better with more flavor and crunch. Next was paneer tacos, it was wrap cut into 3 pieces, again flavor was good , needed better presentation for tacos. Noodle dosa was good had nice flavor to it, I didn't try it but my son liked it. Moving to main course, we ordered pistachio kofta. Loft as we're good soft and flavor was good, also curry was good too. It had only 3 half koftas. Would appreciate to have at least 3 full koftas. Nana and rice was good. Finally for dessert we had orange kulfi. It was good. Not too sweet. Sorry for not clear picture, I remembered to take a picture in half way.

Yelp
Used to be Madras Pavillion. Looks renovated. The food was excellent. A waiter from a former place was here who was excellent. Great service friendly. Give it a try. My paneer tacos excellent then more tikka paneer.

Anita L.

Yelp
What an amazing restaurant food was superb I couldn't believe the owner took time talking to me at the table. I even got some special Indian tea. So if you're looking for Indian restaurant this is the real thing, it's in Sugarland, but it's definitely worth the trip. Lunch or dinner, Order enough to take home ! They were very good about social distancing. Extremely comfortable.

Yelp
Top notch food and service. We held my parents' 50th Anniversary in their banquet hall. Everything was as expected and agreed upon. The banquet room has a nice patio attached. The patio overlooks a lake and is brilliant at night with string lights on the deck. Ask for Mahesh. He is a joy to work with ... reasonable, patient, accommodating, and overall pleasant. Mahesh is very pragmatic and will get your event done with the utmost efficiency and care. After all, he's a former NASA engineer and IIT India alumnus who worked on the landing gear of the Space Shuttle! But he shifted careers because he enjoys people. And it definitely shows. Anyway, he'll get your event done right and efficiently! Great venue. Great value. Great people. Kudos!

Raj J.

Yelp
If you are looking for an authentic Indian Restaurant in the Sugarland area, I recommend that you strongly consider this awesome restaurants. Not only are the host Rajan and his colleague Keshav terrific persons but the north and south indian food their chefs produce never cease to provide the experience as if one was eating in an authentic restaurant in north or south India. Their Masala Dosa and Idli preparations are as good as their Chole Bature - and that in itself should speak volumes about their Chefs. My best wishes for continued success to Rajan and his team. Yelp
Went on a Monday for my birthday dinner and we were the only people there for about half an hour. The food was absolutely amazing especially the Rogan josh. We talked with the owner and discovered that he had just completed catering 15,000 meals for a medical convention the prior weekend. Give this place a try and you won't be disappointed.

Anne S.

Yelp
Put your phone down and get over to this restaurant right now! I was on UberEats to use a gift card and craving some Indian food, this place popped up and I am so glad! The food is amazing, the spice level was perfect for the chicken tikka masala and the papadum and garlic naan were delicious. Absolutely a must go!!!

Joel S.

Yelp
Food was excellent. Staff was friendly and accommodating. The restaurant looked very classy. This would be a great date night spot.

Joyce B.

Yelp
Tika masala , naa, Lamb Saagwala EVERYTHING DELICIOUS Nice place , clean and friendly

Noell M.

Yelp
Just orders delivery. Same Thing I order from a local place all the time.... Chicken tiki masala and a cauliflower dish. There is NO sauce?!?! What the heck.... How does that even happen?? And the cauliflower dish usually has a spicy cream sauce. This is red and dry. Ugh.

Yelp
I don't give stars easily at all. This restaurant is absolutely worth your time. I had them cater my over $100,000+ wedding during COVID, and they absolutely excelled at the their food, their service, and their kindness. Not a single person had anything but praise to say about their food, and absolutely multiple people asked and texted me through the coming days who catered the food since it was so good! Other places we went to would give us food that tasted totally different at the venue. Now they didn't even know how incredible it was to have Indian Summer as vendors. These people hold themselves to a high standard. They made sure there was always enough food, didn't even charge for minimal vegetarian dishes saying "don't worry about it, we will take care of our vegetarians ourselves because they are my family". The owner is a man of very good character. It's not a facade to get us to drum up business. The owner is just a man of very good character. I've come here for parties, but never had them cater for us before. We will absolutely be using them many more times. At the wedding the owner himself said, I know you will be busy during the wedding so I made a plate for you. Eat this as you walk through the venue. What a pleasure to have at our wedding. An absolute blessing

Paul L.

Yelp
Great food. Horrible signage. Took me 3 years to figure out where the wonderful smells were coming from and I can see the restaurant from my office window. Walked a different route today only to discover the mystery restaurant i have smelled when I walked outside to target. Order take out being cautious. butter chicken was so rich and tasty. Nice spice. Just right. The rice was fluffy and light. Will order there again.

Mark K.

Yelp
Food was good the few time in the past that we dined here but there was never anyone else eating here. Now the last three times we have stopped by they are never open despite posted times on-line or on their door.

John A.

Yelp
Ordered food through Grubhub from this restaurant. We ordered chicken biryani, garlic naan, whole wheat roti, and chili paneer. The biryani lacked the typical flavors of spices and they do not give raita or salan with it. The biryani is bit pricey as well, $15 for flavorless biryani (without long grain rice - see photo) The garlic naan and whole wheat roti was fine. The chili paneer was ordered for a vegetarian person in our family, but they sent chili chicken and that guy could not eat anything. Also, the chili chicken was super dry. And add to this all, the order was delivered more than 30 minutes late as the restaurant did not start preparing the food until the grubhub driver got to the restaurant and showed them the order on his mobile. This restaurant needs to get their act together.

Mosum S.

Yelp
Amazing food and ambiance. Really enjoyed the unique twist on Indian food. They've out done themselves!

Jayshree S.

Yelp
Do not go to this place they made us wait for hour and half with out servers, finally we got tired of waiting and left, they had privet event everyone was busy over there no dinning area service. Just to give it a try we went again and we were told place is closed 2 hours before closing time.

Jhilmil Y.

Yelp
We placed a to go order and were asked come after 30minutes. On reaching we were told that no order was placed. This shows poor work ethics where people do not value others time & effort. Someone who took our order made a fool of us & wasted our time. Certainly not going to recommend this place & never going to order from here.

Ashok K.

Yelp
This is my first time. Used to be Madras Pavillion. Looks renovated. I am impressed with the decor, especially the sculptures. The food was excellent. Friendly service. I will be going more often. Plenty of space for social distancing. I ordered to go. Quality, quantity, and cleanliness was great.

Alice G.

Yelp
Clean, beautifully decorated and plenty of space for social distancing. Food and service is great too

Nelly O.

Yelp
This is a spacious restaurant with a chic and comfortable decoration. We went there a Thursday night and the service was a bit long. However, it was definitely worth it. The food is simply delicious. I love the fact that they can accommodate someone like me who hasn't not a robust tolerance for spicy food. My stew with kofta and pistachios was outstanding. Creamy, tasty, mild with some Dosa and basmati rice.

David R.

Yelp
I was invited for lunch here and it was awesome. The food, the service, everything was on point. I recommend this place to everyone!

Sam J.

Yelp
The old madras pavilion but a different name, same folks, same food but not really trying any harder to earn your buisness. Food is mediocre and nothing special about. 2 waiters for the entire restaurant running around like chickens with their heads cut off. This slows your service down extremely! Will not be going back here! Oh btw, the blasting annoying music from the hall next door ruins your quiet night dinner experience if it wasn't already by the food quality and poor service. Hopefully this restaurant makes it to 2020 summer...

Anup J.

Yelp
Very happy with the service and the food..we were hungry and we found out they were open.. do not eat outside food because it messes up our digestive system... since we also own a restaurant... no complaints.

Nalini K.

Yelp
Had an opportunity to visit them with my family . Must try the below items - Rosemary Quail - Chicken lollipops - Gonkura chicken - Pisthachio kofta with olive and bullet naan Best place to dine with family and friends with a beautiful ambiance, friendly staff with courteous service. Price is very nominal . I recommend friends and family to visit this new place .

Jaibella M.

Yelp
I used Indian Summer to serve appetizers for a wedding cocktail hour and the food was incredible! The variety of food provided and quality was exceptional. Every moment from the day of our food tasting went without a hitch, the owner of Indian Summer actually worked with my family to build a menu that fit our needs perfectly. They were even willing to include items that weren't on the original menu! I've noticed some restaurants provide great food at the food tasting but the food served at the actual function is not comparable, that was not the case with this restaurant. The owner actual prepackaged separate plates for my parents to eat because they knew they'd be busy during the function and wouldn't have time to eat. The level of thought and care provided by Indian summer was amazing! My only regret is that I didn't have them cater my pre-wedding events -100% recommend to anyone looking to cater an event!

Dipa K.

Yelp
We went to this restaurant with our parents and it was delicious! As vegetarians, we appreciated the wide and absolutely tasty veggie options. The food, from appetizers to entree to dessert, were the right portions to leave us feeling satisfied. The spice level was just right, not too spicy that you couldn't enjoy the food but not too little to be bland. We tried the heavenly cheesecake, which has Indian biscuits on the side, hit the spot! The restaurant was spacious and we felt right at home. Would recommend for Indian food!

Arsheen M.

Yelp
Love this place! It used to be well known as Madras Pavilion and I never thought it could get any better but it just did! The interior is amazing, it makes you feel like you are in a lounge as a posed to an Indian restaurant. And their food is out of this world, their menu is a perfect fusion concept. Definitely try their Thai soup with idlis!

Rahim P.

Yelp
Very nice restaurant, clean and service is very good. I order goat and chicken and it came out really good. Must try it out.

Yvette R.

Yelp
Excellent lunch service! Delicious food and nicely present and well sized portions! Clean, modern and open decor. Very nice friendly staff! What an exciting find for our Saturday lunch! Can not wait to bring friends back here!

Neetee G.

Yelp
We have eaten at this restaurant for years when it was called Madras pavilion. When this restaurant and new concept of Indian Summer was started, I was excited to see what the owners and chefs would come up with. I am continually impressed by the menu and food. The staff is always courteous and the new decor of the restaurant is spot on. It is by far the best Indian food in Sugar land and one of the best in Houston.I highly recommend this restaurant

Rajiv S.

Yelp
Old experienced management! Interesting new menu..contemporary decor! All the more reasons to visit the place! Thoroughly enjoyed the dinner ..vegetarian and non-vegetarian options!
