Mag Bar

Interesting neighborhood bar. I have heard it is a dive bar, but it is not cheap enough to quality as one. They offer a great cider! It's quite a nice place to have in old Louisville. They should cut a window into the pizza place next door.

We are visiting for work and the Bartender with the man bun was incredibly rude and disrespectful. He threatened to kick us out because our tip wasn’t “sufficient”. We had bought 3 rounds of shots tipped well and were going to buy a 4th but after his attitude and threats we left. Being rude is not a way to have good business

I have lived in Louisville for 30 years now and somehow have never reviewed this establishment. If you have not been to a show here, you owe it to yourself to go. They are open late. The staff is friendly the area safe. 🙏🏻

Love this bar! The staff is very friendly and accommodating! The atmosphere is perfect for anyone who loves metal and good vibes! Highly recommend going there if your looking for a chill place to hang out and meet awesome people!

We were having a great time, our first bartender with the face mask was great, after that, the next bartender that had the man-bun was extremely rude and disrespectful to us and ruined the night for us. It was extremely disappointing as he threatened to kick us out for not giving a big enough tip. He was also very rude to me even before I had ordered anything at all.

Bartender was rude and disliked being asked questions. Very unwelcoming energy from staff and patrons. Bartender was annoyed that I didn't want to leave a tab running and was here for the bands and to drink water. Low energy posers who were trying to hard to be edgy. Second review: Huge improvement from the first time I came here. All the staff I encountered were chill and friendly. The bands were great and the atmosphere was positive!

My whole group was brought into a rant that we in no way asked to be a part of. In fact, this was our first time there. A large man with a long goatee decided that it was a good opportunity to vent about the owner. This was very uncomfortable. He also said that he had free reign over the bar, which we thought was interesting given all the things he had just told us, as strangers, about the owner. Big time negative vibes. Tbh, we were all like, why does he even work here.... Or does he even work here. Anyway, just given that, I wouldn't spend another dollar here. Very awkward, very rude, very scary honestly. Not sure of his deal, but he's clearly out of control and has some ego issues. Really shocked that he's working here, if he actually is. Anyway, if you see this middle age poser just walk out. At some point he'll probably lay it on you or worse.
