I was visiting my friend, who lives in Vegas, right after Christmas and she took me to Mr. BBQ since we were both craving kbbq. I had literally just walked off the plane not much earlier than we arrived. So I was starving. This place was so cute and very popular. We didn't make a reservation, but they took us as a walk in and we had to wait a fair bit (less than 45 minutes) to get a table.
But once we were seated, everything went incredibly fast. Out server greeted us, helped us with our order, answered all our questions, placed the order and constantly checked in with us. Not even two seconds later (it seemed) we were brought all the sides (banchan) and they had a huge variety! So many types of kimchi including cabbage, cucumber, radish, japchae, fish cakes, been sprouts, broccoli, pickled radish, a giant salad, and so many others. It honestly was the largest spread of sides I've seen. I loved how they brought us more of whatever we asked for. I could have easily cleaned them out of their kimchi cucumbers. I can never go to a kbbq spot and not get the steamed egg - and it was delicious. The mains came out quickly too. The short ribs were delicious. Everything we had was really good.
We also had a soju cocktail that was pretty good. I always have to watch myself cause soju sneaks up on me entirely too fast.
Now I do need to warn you, there's a birthday every five minutes (it seemed) and when that happens they blast the music, bring out a dessert, sparklers, and a giant happy birthday sign - very indicative of night club bottle services display. That happened at least 20 tiniest in the almost 2 hours we were there. The music on the other hand was really good. They were bumping 99s and early 2000s hip hop and R&B - which is where my iTunes playlists stay at.
They also have a location in Fullerton, CA which is closer to home for me, but if you're looking to try this place out it does have an additional location.
If you're in either area and in the mood for KBBQ, I highly recommend this place.
