This place has amazing service and the waiter was very witty and friendly. We enjoyed our interaction with him. The food was amazing! The bread they give as service was so addictive as well. The wagyu meatballs were so good as well as the calamari. I don’t know how the calamari is not chewy yet soft crispy on the outside. We love to come here every time and are amazed at how they make standard dishes so extraordinarily!

Google
The food is really good. The portion size are large. The crab cakes are really good. Stuffed mushrooms are really good as well. Lobster Carbonara is amazing. Definitely must try. The portion size is large. Chicken Parmesan is nice. The marinara sauce is good and flavorful. Chicken piccata is really good as well. The service is really good. Overall a good visit and recommended.

Google
my boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. the atmosphere is perfect for the special occasion and our server was so nice and hospitable. I loved the chef’s antipasto board and spaghetti and wagyu meatballs. we also got the fettuccine alfredo, which we didn’t really like because the cream was overpowering and the pasta didn’t have the best texture. at the end of our dinner, they surprised us with a little lemon cookie platter to celebrate our anniversary which was such a lovely end to our night. we’re thinking of coming here yearly as a tradition from now on!

Google
Must visit! Food portions are big! Zucchini frites were surprisingly amazing ! Mushroom ravioli was amazing! Tiramisu is supremely delicious. Also Rafa, our server, celebrated our anniversary with a special dessert ✨

Google
Savion was our server and he was so chill. We asked for his opinion on some of the dishes and drinks, he had a lot of knowledge about what is good or popular. My friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. I’ve visited twice now and I’m a fan. The food is consistently good and everyone is so nice. High quality ingredients and made with lots of care. Thank you!

Google
I went here with my best friend for a girls lunch, there was at least 10 other tables with middle-aged women at them, lol, so that’s the crowd. The food was OK - definitely not true to real Italian standard. It’s very “Americanized”. The best dish we had was the crispy zucchini, and very tasty lemon sauce The salad was OK, way too many red onions and the mushroom ravioli were overcooked and rely heavily on the cream sauce. The atmosphere is very interesting and beautifully decorated. Clean bathrooms. The wait staff seemed very intent on trying to make a tip. Whenever we needed our server though, he wasn’t available. It’s so frustrating when service people interrupt you in the middle of conversations constantly but then whenever you need something, they are nowhere to be found.

Google
A good Italian-American fusion food. The ingredients and flavors are too rich and buttery, hence the Italian freshness is missing. That is why every dish is incredibly high in calories. Too much sauce, too much oil and a lot of cheese. If you are looking for an authentic Italian dish, this is not it.

Google
Very enjoyable every time I come. I like the classy atmosphere, the dining set up and the food. The fried zucchini was delicious, chicken piccata was juicy, and Rigatoni D was creamy. Server was funny and attentive.

Yelp
I came with a large group and while there was a wait (even with reservations), we received excellent service from the wait staff. Apparently there is a new bread, which they touted as being very soft. It was pretty good, as was the butter it was served with. I ordered the mushroom ravioli and was surprised that the marsala cream sauce was not vegetarian (it's made with chicken stock). Definitely wouldn't have known that as there are no dietary designations on the menu, and I only found out when I asked a but thank goodness the waitress knew and was able to switch it to pesto for me. I shared some appetizers with the group, including the fried zucchini, which was sublime. The pasta was nicely cooked and flavorful, but slightly too salty. My companions enjoyed lots of wine and cocktails, though we didn't save room for dessert. Next time!

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday night during the holiday season and were able to get a same-day reservation, though the place was absolutely packed when we arrived. The restaurant was fully decked out in Christmas and holiday décor, and we were seated in a cozy booth in the back, which was a nice touch. For appetizers, we ordered the crispy zucchini fritte and the balsamic tomato bruschetta. The zucchini fritte was the standout of the night--super crispy, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with a bright lemony dipping sauce. The bruschetta was straightforward and exactly as expected. For mains, we ordered the eggplant parmesan (which wasn't on the menu), vodka rigatoni, and fettuccine alfredo with veggies. Unfortunately, the entrées were a bit underwhelming. The vodka rigatoni sauce was watery and didn't cling well to the pasta, and the added veggies tasted like frozen vegetables that had been boiled and tossed on top--pretty bland. The fettuccine alfredo had the same veggie issue but the sauce itself was tastier (though definitely heavy). I didn't personally try the eggplant parmesan, but others at the table said it was good. For drinks, we had a grand margarita and a moscow mule--both fine but nothing special. Service was on the slower side given how busy it was, but our server was very friendly, and they brought something a little special for my wife's birthday, which we appreciated. Overall: festive atmosphere, good apps, friendly service, but the mains could use improvement.

Yelp
We decided to stop by for an early dinner so we could enjoy the snow show outside with our kids at Santana row, and I'm so glad we did! We don't visit Maggiano's often, but last night was a pleasant surprise. The holiday decor was festive and really set the mood, and the dining tables were set up beautifully. I even commented to my wife that the plates seemed fancier than I remembered--it's been a while since our last visit. We were seated at one of the smaller booths, which felt cozy for our family of four. Our server, Martin, was fantastic! He was friendly, attentive, and checked in on us multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. Honestly, his service was the main reason I'm taking the time to leave this review. The food was delicious, with generous portions that were perfect for sharing and still left us with leftovers. Maybe it's just me getting older and appreciating these kinds of restaurants more, but I would definitely return. To the management--if you see this, give Martin a raise! He's an excellent server and made our experience all the more enjoyable.

Yelp
Did some Christmas shopping at Santana Row and decided to stop at Maggiano's for an early lunch we hadn't been there in a really long time. We started with the waygu meatballs and calamari. The calamari was crispy and fresh, and the Wagyu meatballs were soft, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the bread and sauce. The real star of the meal was the bread they bring to the table first--warm, soft, pillowy, with flaky salt on top. For entrées, we tried the salmon, which was perfectly cooked and delicious, though next time I'd opt for a pasta instead. We also had the chicken Alfredo with a parmasan breaded cutlet, which was creamy, flavorful, filling, and a huge portion. Great portions, cozy holiday ambiance, and definitely a place we'd come back to during the holidays. Don't forget to try the pomegranate martini!

Yelp
We were welcomed with fresh bread and whipped butter which were good. Tried the fettuccine pasta with mushrooms and veggies, it's bit watery and super bland. The veggies are undercooked, especially the mushrooms tasted awful! The zucchini fritte was crispy but didn't have much seasoning and the garlic aioli was too tangy for my taste. Our server Rustan was wonderful though! He offered us a spicy sauce to suit our preference and even surprised us with a birthday dessert which made the day feel special. It was bit busy on saturday night and we walked in without reservation, they still served us. This place is quite pricey with good ambience, they have bright christmas decor and great service but taste-wise the food could really use some improvement!

Yelp
Enjoyed some incredible Italian food with a friend of mine who recommended this place! The pasta itself was cooked to perfection and the waiter recommended to add Italian sausage which I did for my rigatoni al vodka while my friend ate lasagna with our drinks. I think the service was good and the place was incredible to eat. I think it would've been better if we ate inside instead of outside which was pretty cold but I could understand it was a pretty busy night.

Yelp
I don't know why this place has so many bad reviews. Sure, you won't have super authentic Italian, stellar service, or a romantic ambiance like at nice trattorias elsewhere. But the food is good, and portions are huge. AYCE is fun if everyone eats a ton, but keep in mind you also get limited choices. I'd say the sweet spot is coming with 4-8 people. You can choose to do AYCE or not, it'll be easier for everyone to arrive on time, and it's a bit easier to get everything the table needs. The majority of your party must be there to be seated - even if you're all crowded like sardines in the entrance. Minus one star because food is usually sooooo slow to come out, and bread/water is often never be refilled.

Yelp
Review from 10/31/2025 - didn't have time to post at this time, so here I am 2 weeks late! Haha We had a blast while we were here! We ordered the 4 person family meal and had pretty much a huge medley of foods that included 4 appetizers, a family salad, 4 entrees, and 3 desserts! All of the food was prepared perfectly putting it in the least, and I was impressed with everything! My partner and I also ordered 2 drinks, a pomegranate martini and a smoked old fashioned! The service could have been no better and the gentleman working with us checked in on us the perfect amount of times! He tried to be very mindful of our time too knowing that we had to be somewhere shortly afterwards! The ambiance was great too with a low lighting to keep the mood relaxing while we were all chatting and eating. The decor, tables and furniture gave the nice fancy vibe that I all too enjoy too in an Italian restaurant. 10/10 recommend this place!

Yelp
Waiting an hour to be seated after your reservation time is unacceptable. Horribly run restaurant overshadows the food. Nice ambiance but missed our plans after unfortunately so only suggest eating here if no rush.

Yelp
I attended my Uncle's Birthday party. The food was great. The menu was ok for the amount of money my aunt paid. But the service needs improving. First of all the servers are not friendly. When you ask for a refill they don't comeback and refill the drinks. It's a family style buffet but they don't bring out the food fast enough. When we asked for more spaghetti they told us there's not enough time. When we're just starting the main course. And when I asked for a to go box. They told me I can't get anything to go. The food on the table was already paid for. I don't know why we can't take the food home. Work on your server's attitude. It's the worst for a banquet. I was think of doing my retirement party here, but after today I'll take my money somewhere else. Ciao!

Yelp
Consistently good service from start to finish. Fairly large portions make Maggiano's a good value. All of the entrees are well-prepared and served hot. But, I'm not a fan of how they do bruschetta though, with one large slice of bread covered in tomatoes and olive oil and spices, then sliced into quarters. I prefer the smaller bread slices, which also makes this appetizer much more shareable. We'll be back, for sure.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Sunday and it being Father's Day, it was pretty crowded. However they had tables outside and we were fine with that. Until what happened next. They sat us at a table which was right next to a heavy swinging door (ie it may not swing if people don't open it with force, but...) and a patron swung it open right on my arm. Before it happened again, I went inside to tell the host. They apologized and then moved out table a few inches over and said they'll make sure to put a sign on the inside because that for is not supposed to be used as an exit. But of course, over the course of our lunch, people opened it at least three times so I'm not sure they did anything at all. At least now, I wasn't hurt and the only thing I could feel was the wind of the swinging door. Basically customer service was sorta dead. Coming to the food. The bruschetta was great while the crab cakes were just ok. They still had a fishy smell/taste, which shouldn't be the case if the meat is absolutely fresh. The pasta was good too but we waited quite a while for it. At the end of the meal they did get us some complementary mini lemon cookies for Father's Day. Overall, wouldn't rate it highly on the 'value for money' aspect.

Yelp
My family came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. All the food was delicious. We had ordered stuffed mushrooms, calamari, crab cakes with lobster cream, truffle garlic bread, and Caesar salad. There was complimentary bread with olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I ordered the rigatoni with mushrooms and chicken and a small side of fettuccine. I was pretty full by the time I got my main entree so I just had few bites and put it away.

Yelp
Made a quick reservation for two 15 minutes before we showed up, and it all worked out. Our waitress took a while to get to us, but there was a 14+ party of young girls celebrating their friends 17th birthday next to us, so no worries. She tried her best to be attentive. I love complimentary bread! Our waitress kept it coming after we told her we hadn't ate the whole day. Bf enjoyed a Carajillo! The bartender was kind enough to make with their Licor 43. He said the flavors blended perfectly! Not pictured, but the calamari was tasty! My Alfredo pasta was delicious, but I wish the sauce was thicker. The chicken was juicyyyy Bf enjoyed his red sauce, but he said he's had better. Overall, I'd go again and try something else. They have a wide menu, and several choices for drinks.

Yelp
We've had 3 parties here and we're always satisfied with their helpfulness and beautiful spaces. We recently threw my Mom's 80th birthday here at Maggiano's and they never disappoint. Their service is always on point, they're very knowledgeable about their food and very organized when to bring out food. They even cut my Moms cake for us. The food though, I love!! The bread is buttery and soft. I love the Caesar salad and its croutons. Calamari is always crispy and delicious. I stuff myself all the time. lol. Maggianos is definitely our place for parties.
google avatar

Gered S.

Yelp
not gon lie, this is a 4 star review because our waiter was awesome. He was really attentive and always checked in on us. the food however, not so much. I've been here a couple times before (but only for parties) and the food is always pretty good, probably cause it's free for me lol. But this time, i went with family to like just sit down, no occasion, and i got the fettuccine alfredo with the chicken. and it didn't hit the spot. i don't know what it was but it kind of had like a basily taste, and it didn't taste like alfredo. it tasted like the one you can buy in a jar from safeway but you add some basil oil or something. i'd go here again but not gonna order that again. the pomegranate martini though was amazing, get that

Yelp
I hosted my daughter's birthday dinner at Maggiano's in San Jose on 11/1/25, and the entire experience was absolutely amazing! From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. One of our guests has major food allergies, and I was blown away when the chef personally came out to speak with her. He took the time to understand her allergies and made sure her meal was safe and delicious. That level of care is rare and so appreciated. Another huge plus--Maggiano's has a small handheld device that allows them to split the check by each person's individual order. We simply passed it around the table, and everyone paid their portion. I've never seen a restaurant make it this easy, especially for a large group! The servers were friendly, attentive, and incredibly accommodating to our big party. The food was fantastic, and every single guest left full, happy, and impressed. This was truly a 5-star experience. RAVE reviews from me and everyone at the party! Highly recommend Maggiano's San Jose for any special occasion.

Yelp
Stopped by Maggiano's for dinner since Chase was offering a 10% discount on gift card redemption--figured it was the perfect excuse for a dinner out! However found out the $6 classic pasta take-home deal with any entrée is no longer available Apparently, they discontinued it around Thanksgiving. Major bummer since that used to be our go-to move. We were on a tight schedule with the kids' piano recital coming up after dinner, so we gave our waitress Rebecca a heads-up--and she was ON IT! She asked if we wanted dessert up front, had our bill ready while we were still waiting for our food (so efficient!), and made sure everything came out fast. Love how on top of it she was! The menu has definitely gotten a refresh--lots of new additions like Wagyu beef stuffed shells, Wagyu meatballs, Braised Beef Pappardelle, Pesto Perlini Mozzarella, and even a Caramel Apple Crostada for dessert. Fancy! We tried the Wagyu stuffed shells--they were rich and flavorful, but my husband thought it didn't quite do the wagyu justice since you lose the marbling once it's all ground up. Star of the night was definitely the Grand Chicken Parmesan. Perfectly crisp, cheesy, and satisfying--10/10 would order again. We also got the Rigatoni "D," which is always a classic, but felt a little repetitive since the chix parm came with rigatoni too. Still solid though! Overall, great experience, awesome service, fun new menu--just still crossing my fingers they'll bring back that $6 take-home pasta someday!

Yelp
My recent experience hosting a company holiday party at Maggiano's was, without a doubt, the worst restaurant experience I have ever encountered. The series of miscommunications, poor planning, and utterly unprofessional handling of our large party demonstrates a shocking disregard for customer service. We meticulously planned this event in advance, speaking with multiple staff members on separate occasions to confirm that our anticipated group size could be easily accommodated. We were repeatedly assured that there would be no problem at all. The week of the event, when we provided our final headcount, we were suddenly informed by a manager that our party size actually required a special banquet reservation. This requirement was never mentioned during our prior consultations. The manager promised to "accommodate" us despite this, assuring us she would personally train her staff to ensure situations like this wouldn't happen again. Yesterday, the day of the event, the entire situation came to a head. We were enjoying dessert and in the middle of a White Elephant gift exchange when a staff member abruptly approached us and demanded we leave because we had exceeded a two-hour time limit. We were NEVER informed of a time limit. Given we specified this was a company holiday get-together, a time limit should have been clearly communicated from the beginning. The restaurant staff happily opened our wine bottles, charging a corkage fee for each, barely 30 minutes before kicking us out. As we scrambled to gather our belongings and unfinished drinks, the staff immediately began clearing and cleaning the tables around us--a completely rude action. The way this entire ordeal was managed is unbelievable. The fact that so many people from our company were there to witness this disorganized and disrespectful treatment, and the staff still did not seem to care, only solidified our belief that Maggiano's has no regard whatsoever for its customers or customer service. Do not trust them with your large reservations or special events. We chose this restaurant for a festive holiday celebration, and they delivered nothing but stress, embarrassment, and a genuinely hostile dining environment. I would recommend that management urgently review their internal communication, reservation procedures, and staff training protocols.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dinner here. I had quite a few friends talk this place up and it definitely didn't disappoint. It's a little pricey but they definitely give you big portions to make up for it! I had some lobster carbonara and no matter how much I ate I felt like I wasn't making a dent to the plate! I tried a couple drinks, those were tasty, their bread is really fluffy and flavorful, the food was delicious, my server was nice, and they have live plants in the main dining area. The food takes a little while to come out but I would definitely come back again!

Yelp
Food was pretty decent and the service was great. Lots of seating and everything was very clean. We had a party of 12 people, upon checking in (we made a reservation 3 weeks out). The person checking us in said "hey, we tried calling you and left you a voicemail". We never got a voicemail, we did get a missed call. Basically he said he tried to call us to tell us that we had ro buy the family meal. It was a requirement and we were either given the choice to buy the family meal ($60ish per person) or not eat there. We looked at the menu and on their website, no such "requirement" exists. It's basically a bait and switch sale tactic most Resturaunts use to make you pay more. We ended up asking for a manager and she explained the situation that family meal is better because it helps the staffs bring stuff out faster from the kitchen. I asked for the fine print where it says it was a requirement but crickets. in the end, she agreed and told us we didn't need to do the family meal. In general, this is a common sales tactic - predatory pricing. Yes, we believe businesses should have the right to set their own rules but there needs to be transparency, especially when we made the reservation three weeks out. We have filed a consumer complaint with our local consumer protection agency.

Yelp
Amazing dining experience! The dining room gave off a great Italian vibe! The Service was excellent, and the food was delicious. Maggiano's has really stepped up their wine list . We loved the Calamari, Fettuccine Bolognese, Filet Mignon, Cheesecake, and Warm Apple Crostada -- everything was perfect. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Came here for my mom's birthday recently and enjoyed the food. We've come here for many years since it's my mom's favorite restaurant. They've made changes to the menu but the quality of the food has stayed the same. At the time of our visit, they no longer sold the all you can eat family meal. Instead, they had a set meal plan with the option to pick 4 entree dishes to share - no more AYCE unfortunately but still a ton of food that leftovers are inevitable! I only wish that it was less salty, but that's a personal preference. Service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and good at explaining the menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was not as good as i anticipated. Fountain drinks taste like chemical.nobody asked us if we needed a refill. They were busy but not too busy, just not very kind. Our waiter was not attentive at all. Will not come back!

Yelp
Well it's been 18 yrs and a lot has changed! Just came for lunch today, on a Sunday 10/19/25 and there was no wait. We didn't have any RSVP. We came for national pasta day for their special and got 2 entrees (salad + pasta) for $30. We got Caesar salads and the flavor was bomb, but some of the lettuce was brown and the croutons were just inedible. Stale and hard to chew. My husband got the lasagna and he's had it multiple times over the years, but today was just overpowered with salt! I could only take one bite. I got the rigatoni D and it was good, but not as delicious as I remember it being. They had lots of tables with large parties today, so maybe they were just really busy. Since moving away for a few years, we only come about once or twice a year, so not sure if the quality has gone down.
google avatar

Megan D.

Yelp
The perfect restaurant for a quick dinner. They have a lot of special deals now and most recently I had the $20 pasta and salad. The portions are huge and delicious as always. The bread is also amazing. I do miss the baked ziti they had but the new vodka pasta is still good.
google avatar

Karen A.

Yelp
I haven't been here for over a decade and I'm so glad I finally came back! The restaurant vibes with comfort and class and they serve classic appetizers such as calamari, zucchini fritte, wagyu meatballs, and flatbread pizza--just to name a few. A handful of salads also grace the menu along with several seafood, pasta, chicken, and beef dishes. We ate the following: -Zucchini Fritte **** -Italian flatbread pizza **** -Crab cakes ***** (so yummy) -Chicken Marsala ***** (rich sauce and moist chicken) -Service***** -Ambiance *****
google avatar

Ramona H.

Yelp
Food and service were just OK. Nothing memorable or special. Salad was over dressed and. Croutons very soggy. Everything else was just OK. Don't know if it was because of the large party or not 30 people pre fix meal. Might give it a go as a solo Diner but not anytime soon.

Yelp
I was in the area and decided to check this place out. I'm Glad I did. I was greeted by the staff and I took a look at their menu. I grabbed a seat at the bar and the bartender was very helpful with my questions on what pasta to get. I got the Linguine Di Mare. It came with lobster, shrimp, mussels, clams & spicy tomato. It was delicious! I walked always full and happy. I wish there was a location closer to me.

Yelp
The food is undeniably DELISH, your pallet will not be disappointed! So far i've had the Spaghetti and Meatballs, Lasagna, Shrimp Scampi and items 10/10, talking about it now makes me wanna go back for more. The ambiance makes you feel like you just walked in to Nona's place, it's gives warmth and welcoming vibes. The service is absolute A-1! Every-time I have been here, the waiters are always on point with their service.

Yelp
We went here Friday night with family visiting from Canada & Philippines. The guy who served our calamari spilled it and didn't even say sorry and the female server was so rude rushing us while obviously we were still eating! She was offering to box our appetizers while we were still eating! At first I thought maybe she wants to serve the main course that's why she asked? But no... she's just mean, rude & impatient! Throughout the meal, it felt like they were in a hurry to get us out the door, which completely ruined what was supposed to be a relaxed dining experience. I really felt embarrassed for bringing our visitors here. We all felt disrespected. How I wish we picked a different place!!!!!! Good food can't make up for poor service. Unfortunately, we won't be returning!!!

Yelp
What a difference 16 years makes! I can't believe that I've been writing reviews this long. Let me update you: I booked my mother-in-law's 84th birthday party here. We had 30 people and used one of their private dining rooms. The room was set up very simply, and it was immaculate. We arrived early and were taken to the room to wait for everyone to arrive. The waiters assigned to us were both kind and attentive. Now, on to the good part. The food. We did the family-style dining. Started with the stuffed mushrooms (delish!!) Crispy mozzarella, and caesar salad. All top-notch. Then we had the mains. I chose chicken Marsala, beef tenderloin, and salmon. Everyone raved about the food; there wasn't a complaint among 30 of us, so it was good. Then we did the best part - the dessert buffet !! It was an extra $6.00 pp, but let me tell you, IT WAS WORTH IT! I am not a tiramisu fan, but my entire family is, and we went through that quick. They brought more out, so everyone got their fill. They also offered chocolate cake, lemon cookies, cheesecake, and this appletart thing my husband was so happy with. Our 2 hours flew by! The thing is, they weren't rude about us having to vacate the room. They stood by as we gossiped and chatted, and I pushed everyone out the door! Thank you, Maggianos! You have changed my opinion of your restaurant! (sorry I only got pics of the desserts!)

Yelp
The restaurant has a lovely ambiance -- warm, inviting, and perfect for a special occasion. Our waiter was very charming and attentive at moments, and we appreciated how nicely he presented the birthday cake for my niece. That said, the overall service felt a bit below par. While our food arrived quickly, it was only lukewarm, and we had to remind the staff to refill our water. Toward the end of our meal, the staff began arranging a large table right next to ours, and once the group was seated, it felt uncomfortably close -- almost like we were rubbing elbows. There were definitely some thoughtful touches, but with a bit more attention to timing and spacing, the experience could have been much better.

Yelp
Our family sat at a table and waited to be served 15-20 min. Fortunately we were greeted by a waitress named Alicia who provided us with excellent service. We ordered our pasta and received complimentary drinks with desserts for the inconveniences. Alicia was very attentive and kind, which made us feel welcomed. Maggiano's is blessed to have Alicia to convert families into loyal customers. I highly recommend families to dine at this branch and will refer my friends to support them.

Yelp
I had a big milestone birthday here for myself and ~30 of my friends and family. Maggiano's staff handled everything very well: Reservation in a private room, dedicated staff, and a ton of food. They did a great job handling an event!

Sauce is smooth ,rich creamy -and flavorful. Their vera lemon cookies smooth and fudge. First time had lemon cookies. Tasted delicious Service is good and fast paced Ambiance- like candle light dinner.

Yelp
I'm averaging 2 visits that I've had here from a year ago and this past week. I must admit it was amazing food last year and it's average this year. Service is excellent as we were treated very kindly for celebrating 2 birthdays with lemon cookies and allowing us to bring our cake. I love the atmosphere of Santana Row. In front is a bar with TV and a crowd watching NFL playoffs. Because of the games, it wasn't busy on a Sunday afternoon. As I look around adjacent tables, I see huge plates of food. They are generous with their portions here. My order is the chicken piccata. This is my first time getting chicken as I've orders veal piccata at other establishments. I don't think chicken breast or white meat is a good type of meat for this dish. Although visually appealing with a nice sear, it was sadly dry and lacking much taste. The pasta was also dry as the butter sauce didn't soak into the pasta well. On the flip side, my wife's lobster carbonara was very saucy. I thought it was too saucy for carbonara. However she enjoyed it but it did look more like a linguini Alfredo than a pasta carbonara. She said there's a good amount of lobster in her dish. We had friends order various dishes. One in particular stood out. My friend said her ribeye steak is really good. Another enjoyed her linguini de mare that was piled with assorted seafood. The kids meals are well priced and huge portions too. My daughters were able to eat them as leftovers. Although the lasagna looked bland, it tasted very good. Just add fresh Parmesan on top. A year ago, we had a great dinner meal over here. Every dish was excellent. This time around, I may have ordered wrongly which is why I still give a very positive review.

Yelp
We went to Maggiano's Little Italy for Thanksgiving. We originally planned to order our usual favorites, but before we even ordered, the server brought two salads to the table and said that they only had a special holiday menu--priced at $56 per person. We didn't get to choose anything. The salads were disappointing and had an unpleasant fish/bacon smell. They also brought two entrées per person, which was way too much food in a normal situation, plus a small dessert. Drinks were not included, so we had to pay extra on top of the $56 each. It would have been nice if they gave us options instead of forcing the holiday menu. One of the entrées was just plain fettuccine Alfredo with nothing added. Overall, I'm not a fan of the new management. It feels like the servers are under pressure to upsell. When I returned today, the server didn't even bring water automatically like they used to--she offered bottled water instead. And when I ordered a light meal for lunch, she kept asking, "That's it? Nothing else?" which felt pushy. The quality of the food seems to be declining, and they've changed the menu. The family-style package for four people now includes less than before. Unfortunately, it feels like the overall experience at Maggiano's is not what it used to be.

Yelp
Maggianos has always been consistent when it comes to there food! Me and my wife seem to always stick to these dishes! The portions are big so come with an appetite! We never finish so we end up taking so much leftovers! We are so full by the end of the meal! The service is excellent! We don't have any issues! At times, we do wait at most 20 mins for a table, but during the wait, we normally grab a drink at the bar, sit and relax with good convo! All in all, if your feeling Italian food with at decent prices and get that full on Italian dining experience, check this place out!

Yelp
We came on a Friday night. It was pretty busy. We ordered our food, appetizers came took forever for our main course to come . Server asked if we wanted more bread for the meantime, more bread? We didn't even get any bread to begin with and I've been observing the people beside us got their meal first when we were seated n ordered before them , and in front of us who had 7 people Vs us 5 already got at least 4 rounds of bread. Still we waited patiently . Food finally came almost an hour later,,,,,for appetizers we had the calamari which wasn't remarkable, the stuffed mushroom had good flavor . For the main course we got spaghetti with meatballs, lobster carbonara, lasagna, shrimp fettuccine and chicken fettuccine. Everyone at the table said their meal was pretty bland. I did try my husband's shrimp fettuccine which I thought was watery, my lasagna was bland so I can see why everyone thought the same.the place was packed on I thought they could space out the tables a little bit . Just looked too cramped for the space. And accidents waiting to happen. They already had Christmas themed decor which was I think the only thing I liked about the whole experience.

Yelp
I ordered the shrimp scampi which is supposed to come with garlic, shallots, white wine, other spices, and a little salt. It was super bland, and just tasted like huge amounts of butter on noodles with absolutely no garlic, no salt, and no other flavor. The top of the noodles was dry, as if it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while. My family ordered the steak and garlic mashed potatoes. The steak was bland but tender. The garlic mashed potatoes were awful; It had an overpowering taste of a huge amount of butter. There was absolutely no garlic taste, salt or anything else. I felt like we were paying a lot of money for very disappointing food. The Italian pasta dishes and the appetizers at our table were good, just not the other dishes. The only good thing was the server was super nice, attentive, and worked hard to make sure we had everything we needed.

Yelp
Went to Maggiano's for a birthday celebration. The appetizers were exceptional (stuffed mushrooms, fried zucchini, calamari). My fiancée had the branzino (she loved it) and I had the chicken francese (it was okay.....although the potatoes were excellent). Desserts were good (crème brûlée, tiramisu). All in all, a very fun night. Bill was $350 for 4 of us, and only two of us were drinking!

Yelp
You get an incredible amount of food and value with the family-style dining experience here. It's perfect for groups, and the portions are so generous that you'll likely have leftovers of just about everything. For $53/adult and $16 for kids (ages 5-12), you get to choose four pasta dishes, four entrées, and two desserts. We enjoyed Calamari Fritté, Zucchini Fritté, Rigatoni "D", Fettuccine Bolognese, Lasagna, and "Grand" Chicken Parmesan. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and the service was outstanding! The dessert was amazing as well! Highly recommend if you're looking for a fun, filling, and well-run family dining experience.

Yelp
Everything I've had here has been delicious, but my go-to dish is the Four Cheese Ravioli! It's absolutely perfect & flavorful, the right portion size, and it never misses. The lemon cookies are my favorite dessert. The take home tin is a must-try! The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the decor gives the place an elegant vibe without being pretentious. You can dress up or dress down and still feel right at home. Love this spot!

Yelp
Decent value for the quantity of food you get and the ambiance/atmosphere of the restaurant, but the food dishes are ok/hit or miss in my opinion. The service is very friendly and attentive, and I always appreciate the complimentary bread. I've tried quite a few dishes here and have done the family style meal for a large birthday dinner. I liked the serving of lobster and veggies that came in the lobster carbonara, but the sauce tasted like the standard alfredo sauce, and not carbonara sauce. My highlights from the family style meal were probably the calamari, caesar salad, garlic bread, and chicken parm! The flavors and textures of these dishes were very satisfying. I thought the herb salmon wasn't very flavorful and too oily, and the platter of assorted desserts was fun but a lot of them were too sweet for me. I did think it was really cool how they give you free refills of the dishes you finish for the family meal, and let you pack up the leftovers for each course in takeout boxes. Definitely a solid spot for a big celebration or a big meal!

Yelp
It was fabulous. We came here because we had a gift card, I have never been here before, but my hubby put in a lot of good words. Particularly, the linguine de mare was AMAZING!! I was surprised by the portion. Look at those mussels, it was drown with mussels. I would love to come back for other dishes!

Yelp
Great for large tables as the family menu of pick two from every category with unlimited refills takes care of almost everyone! No one cared for the heavy calorie braised beef al forno, but the veal Marsala, meatballs, salmon, etc were all exceptional. Even the spumoni swirl ice cream was a nice finishing touch. Interior very nice. The mussels were also a hit though note they are served with a navy bean mixture which was new to many of us. Make a reservation and arrive hungry.

Yelp
Food is good. I wasn't super happy with the price of the Rigatoni Alla Vodka (around $30) considering it didn't have any protein. It is a good size portion though. Service was nice and quick. Loved how festive the restaurant looked with the Christmas decor. I definitely recommend coming with a reservation though as it was super crowded when we came (granted it was 7pm the day after Christmas) to the point where even people with reservations had to wait too.
