Google
Great Service, but Panaeng Curry Could Be Thicker I had a great experience at Maggie Thai Kitchen. The service was excellent—friendly, attentive, and quick. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making it a great spot for a meal. I really enjoyed the flavors of the dishes, but the Panaeng curry was a bit watery for my taste. It still had great seasoning, but I prefer a thicker consistency. Overall, a solid dining experience, and I’d definitely come back to try more dishes!

Sweetest people in town! The servers are very polite and awesome. The food is so flavorful 😋 and presentation is top notch! Best Thai food I have had in Boise. They have great tea selection as well, we tried jasmine tea, lemongrass and honey ginger tea. We will be back! Highly recommended!!

Everyone should experience Maggie’s! My wife and I discovered Maggie’s about six months ago and we are now regulars. On our first experience the servers (Mia and Micaela) were very sweet and attentive. The dining room is beautifully decorated with great music and comfy seating. The food was the best Thai food I’ve ever had. The meals were very reasonably priced. We have had that same experience every time we’ve been back since. You can tell they are proud of the food that they put out and treat their guests like their family. My wife and I both eat exclusively plant based (vegan) and we were delighted to see they have a vegan menu. Go and try it!

Google
Pros - Good portion size, nice heat level options, friendly service, nice menu variety of fresh ingredients. They'll do what they can to please you. Lots of parking. Delicious soup with beautiful presentation. Family welcoming. . Cons - Prices high, small waiting area, parking can be a hike when busy. Soup is too much for one. it definitely should be shared. Seating can be tight when busy. Children's voices loud & ruined the atmosphere. No bag with leftovers.

Google
Love it!!!!! Great vibe here, very warm and kind service, excellent food. Family friendly, food was quick, and good portion sizes. Very comfortable seating too! I especially liked the jazzy/low-keychill music. Also they have a vegan/vegetarian section of their menu. The only thing that killed the vibe was a little girl watching a video on full blast. That, and be sure that if you order a soda, know that you're only getting a can :)

Google
Love this place! My husband and I were looking for a favorite Thai restaurant, and we've found it. The food is absolutely delicious, some of the best Thai food I've had. I got the drunken noodles and my husband got curry. We both loved our dishes. The service was great. We got our food very quickly. Will definitely come here again.

Google
I just LOVE this place! Staff is so friendly & welcoming and the owners are genuinely kind. Maggie Thai is a relaxing atmosphere with peaceful music. They offer a variety of food that is always delicious & fast. When asked for extra sauces, they promptly bring them over at no charge. Its one of my favorite places to eat.

Google
The food itself was tasty, but for $15.99, I expected a more generous portion especially of the soup. Rice wasn’t included either, which was disappointing. Good flavor, but not the best value for the price.

Yelp
Amazing staff! Truly 10/10. The food and proportions were also great. Would recommend!

Yelp
Spectacular! My wife searched and suggested it. We have had poor luck lately. I was grumpy. This strip mall has had above average turnover. Maggie's Thai Kitchen was chill and welcoming. We sat in the cozy "like home" chairs. Everything (I mean everything) was clean and tidy. Service was top notch. Felt like we had known her for years. We laughed about the "heat" concept of Thai food. I selected the Pineapple fried rice. My wife had Panang Curry and her first ever Thai tea. The presentation was artful. Every element was fresh and quality. The mixture of flavors and textures superb. Truly, this is the first time I have ever used the word "superb" in a review. I never had food this perfect while in Thailand! Prices were fair. Also, wheelchair accessible and lots of parking.

Yelp
Long story short, this place is definitely worth a visit. I'll be back soon to try more. I came in at 2pm on a Friday and received incredible food and service. I've tried five or six different Thai restaurants across Boise over the last month, and Maggie has been my very favorite experience so far. The staff is so kind, and they're very helpful with recommendations. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. The meal started with a small cup of vegetable broth soup. I wasn't expecting much, but it was so packed with flavor. The drunken noodles were exactly what I wanted them to be. They were delivered to my exact spice-level preference, and the flavor was perfect. I wasn't planning to get dessert, but I was having such a great meal that I asked for an order of mango sticky rice. I'm so glad I did, because the mango was wonderful and ripe (keep in mind that it's in the middle of July right now), and the rice and sauce were also very well prepared. I have nothing negative to say, except that there should be more people eating there.

Yelp
This is a cute little restaurant in a strip mall. The service was spectacular such a warm greeting for the moment I walked in, Very attentive staff they were smiling and sincere really couldn't ask for much more in service. I ordered a garlic chicken dish with tofu. It was so pretty couldn't wait to take a picture for you. The flavors were amazing sweet and tangy and full of garlic crunchies all over the top. The sticky Jasmine rice was a great vessel for getting the sauce to my face.

Yelp
When my companion and I were entering , he lost his balance, the server came out to offer assistance. Our server was kind and very friendly. Our appetizer came out quickly as did our mains I had Drunken Noodle beef level 3 spicy. Absolute perfection. My companion had beef yellow curry level 1.5 said it was very good exactly what he expected for a good yellow curry. The egg rolls are delicious and served with greens and a really yummy sauce. The Thai tea very very good highly recommend

Yelp
The Tum Tard Set is delicious and should be a staple offers different kinds of protein with a papaya salad.

Yelp
Of the many options for Thai food in the treasure valley, Maggie's has the best Penang curry by far.

Yelp
A hidden gem Thai place in Boise! The ambiance is so cute inside. Staff were super friendly. Lots of gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian options! Well priced. I got the gluten free Pad See Ewe and it was delicious! I'd definitely go back!

Yelp
Maggie Thai kitchen has been open for a while and today I finally got the opportunity to go. I have my usual Thai places but you won't know if you're missing out on something if you don't try it. Walking into this place, I noticed how cute and green everything is! The decor, the venue and all the plants added such a fun vibe to this space. I loved the mirrors on the wall. The plush green decor in the front entrance are charming pieces to look at when you walk in. I love how bright it is as well! A lot of thought was put into decorating this space. Everything is so cute! My server greeted me and sat me pretty quickly. I knew what I wanted so as soon as I got my drink I ordered my dinner. Tonight I got the pad see ew with fried tofu. My go to noodle dish when I order Thai food. My noodles came out hot! It was beautiful with all the gai lan, carrots and tofu. The gai lan (Chinese brocolli) was vibrant in color and crunchy. The carrots were cut to look like flowers. I love that detail. The regular brocolli was slightly bitter but still edible. The flavor of the pad see ew was good! It did favor on the saltier side. And unfortunately I didn't like the tofu. I have been spoiled with other Thai places that have amazing fried tofu. I like tofu that's fried golden on the outside but soft in the inside. The tofu they served tonight was really dense and not really fried. I didn't like the dense texture of the tofu so I ended up picking out all the tofu. I appreciate that they gave me generous amount of the tofu. My dish would have been complete if I would have liked the tofu. I'm happy I got to try this local joint out. Service was great, food was prepared fresh and venue is comfortable. I'm kinda bummed that the pad see ew wasn't a winner for me but I do look forward to coming back and trying other items on the menu.

Yelp
The food is delicious, the servers were outstanding and the decor was stylized in an authentic Thai way!

Yelp
Delicious, "clean" food & very attentive & friendly service!!! We tried the spicy cucumber salad, Pad See Ew (with no egg), Pad Thai, Yellow Curry with chicken, Crying Tiger & Thai iced teas. Everything came out fast & tasted amazing! So good that I couldn't take pictures of everything in time. Several of us have allergies & food sensitivities which was very easy to work around. My family can't wait to go back :)

Yelp
Well they've done away with the lunch menu... and smaller portions...I'm very disappointed. $50 for lunch for 2 is crazy. On top of that, I asked for NO spicy-ness and it was barely edible, my lips are still burning!
google avatar

Natalie M.

Yelp
The staff are nice and the food is delicious. I got chicken pad kra pow and it was very spicy (just the way I wanted it!). The portion is a good size for lunch and they have a good lunch menu. The vegetables felt fresh and all the seasonings were on point! I loved the food here and would definitely be back for the lunch sometime.

Yelp
My husband and I had been wanting to try another new restaurant so we went to Maggie Thai Kitchen. Don't let the outside fool you as the interior decor is beautiful and the ambiance quite nice. The wait staff was friendly and always smiling. Maggie herself stopped by our table to make sure everything was to our satisfaction. The food was delicious and we will definitely be going back here again to bring other family members with us.

Yelp
Wow! This place is amazing! Food: 5/5. From our appetizers to desserts, everything was delicious! We started with the Thai spring rolls which were a great start to our meal. We then shared the Tam Tad Set, which had fantastic chicken wings and sausage along with some salad mixing. The Back Rib Pork Curry was an instant favorite that I would highly recommend. We finished with a remarkable Thai Coconut ice cream that was decadent. Service: 5/5. The service was fantastic! We were instantly seated by a very nice gentleman and our waitress was very kind. Everything came out fairly quickly as well. Atmosphere: 5/5. Interesting location tucked in the business center near Hobby Lobby, but I loved the decor inside! Beautifully designed. Kid friendly: 4/5. There were a few older kids there, but may not be suitable for all families. Better for a date night in my opinion. I didn't notice a kids menu, but if your kid likes rice and chicken you should be ok.

Yelp
A great place. Dining atmosphere was comfortable, attention was quite good connotation to most similar asian establishments that one they bring out the food, they don't come back unless you call them. I ordered the pad thai, vegetarian. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it didn't have the sweet sauce like most places in the western USA. Semms like it truly is more vegetarian because I didn't taste the fish sauce, more common in the eastern part of US. So while I did feel there was a bit of a lack in some flavor, I recognize that I ordered vegetarian. The portion size didn't seem so big (but I did have trouble finishing it, and I was hungry as I hadn't had lunch). My only knock on it, would be thry could add vegetables and not just have tofu (so it is an option, but it would be nice if some veegies were automatically included). So definitely you want to try this place!

Yelp
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. The curry is amazing! There is plenty of parking, the staff is friendly and will answer every question you have.

Yelp
After a long drive home from Seattle, this is definitely what I was looking forward to... Tum Tad Set and Yum Nham. If you haven't tried them, you are missing out! They are my "go-to" at Maggie's.

Yelp
I can see why Maggie might be so popular, but I was not impressed. Service is very friendly here, and they try harder than most Thai restaurants to decorate the place. However, the art-for-sale gallery in the bathroom hallway, which looks AI-generated, is kind of a weird vibe. Food-wise, the flavor was ok but half the meal came out super slow. We ordered a chicken curry and beef fried rice. The curry was the better of the two. The fried rice took so long to come out that yellow curry was no longer hot. Not sure if it's a typo but the menu also has two different prices for the beef fried rice...we were given the cheaper price but the quality of meat was not the best. I joked that we should have ordered the one with the higher price. Service speed was spotty. We had several different people checking on us and it was a packed room which I try to be understanding about. But we asked for a takeout container and had to wait several minutes and ask two different people, while another table asked after us and got it right away. So maybe you just have to ask the right person. I wouldn't return immediately based on this experience.

Yelp
Came here for dinner with a party of 3 on a Saturday night and it was a packed house! There's plenty of parking inside the plaza where Maggie Thai is, so that's a plus. The decor is cute and matches their restaurant. Luckily, we didn't have to wait long to be seated. However, as time went on, I realized that they were understaffed for how busy they were. They were only two waitresses managing everything front of house, so I can only imagine how backed up the back of house was too. I could tell the other tables seated after me were growing impatient as they had yet to be served waters after waiting 20 minutes. The waitresses were friendly and apologized for not being as attentive. The food was amazing! I ordered the Pad Thai with beef, which was delicious. It's not as sweet as other pad Thai I've had and they put their chili flakes and peanuts on the side so you can add it to your liking. My husband ordered the Back Rib Pork Panang Curry, which was also great! We were told this is growing to be a customer favorite at the restaurant and we can see why. The curry was flavorful and the coconut milk was not overpowering. All in all, will definitely come back here to try their other dishes! Highly recommend Maggie Thai if you're in the area or want to try out a new restaurant

Yelp
The best thai food I have had in the valley, and honestly possibly in my life. Period. The service was extremely friendly and all of the staff were kind and courteous. We will be back!

Yelp
For my second visit to Maggie Thai Kitchen yesterday, I brought my mom, who is a fan and a bit of a connoisseur of Thai cuisine. She devoured every bite of her yellow curry pork, saying it might be the best she's ever had. My favorites were the so fresh summer rolls and mango & sweet sticky rice dessert (save room!). Service was attentive and friendly. They opened in October 2023 and seem so grateful to everyone coming through their door. I'll be making it a habit to return frequently!
google avatar

Yelp
Swung by last night for a date night. Great summer rolls and Pad Thai. Staff were very friendly and always checking in. One minor criticism, the device they use to pay defaults gratuity too high.

Yelp
Excited to try this place for lunch? I was too. We highly recommend. It was so worth the trip! Tam tad set platter with so many goodies. We wanted more noodles, but polished it off. Sausage was interesting flavor. Pad Thai lunch special was exceptional. All with level 2 spice. I had extra on the side. Fresh spring rolls with shrimp had a sauce that was delicious! We shared it all. We had Thai ice tea, a couple traditional and one lime flavored. Service was so thoughtful, attentive and friendly. We are looking forward to exploring the menu and will be back. Thanks for the great meal!

Yelp
Very nice staff and good. Will be back and regularly! Curry was the best. So good! Pad Thai was excellent. I love Thai food and this is delicious. Cute decor and nice staff too of the great experience. I took my grandmother and she was in awe with every bite!

Yelp
Wow! Best thai food in Boise! Family owned business and a super cute spot. I ventured beyond the regular pad thai and curries because of some unique dishes on their menu. Flavorful and refreshing larb salads and lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Yelp
Owner / chef operated new Thai restaurant opened on 9/6/23 in the space formerly occupied by Egg Factory in the strip mall that also houses China Buffet and Hobby Lobby. Interesting menu, offering some options not seen in some other Boise area Thai restaurants, good food and gracious table service. There are clearly new place wobbles being worked out for orders coming out of the kitchen, as is true for many places at opening, and language barriers to realize and accommodate; our charming server speaks English better than I speak Thai language (which is not at all) and we were in 'her house' and grateful guests for her care and kindness even if things might run more smoothly without the language obstacles. But they will get there as newly opened changes to open for a while. HOURS: They are open straight through from lunch through dinner hours (many other Thai eateries close for a couple of hours between lunch and dinner service) so we popped in at mid afternoon to find only six other people inside, four at the finishing point of their meals. A tip is if you want to want to avoid what may be lunch or dinner hour crowds as Maggie Thai is discovered, mid afternoon, what we call "linner", is a good time to do that. MENU & FOOD: The menu is about four legal size laminated pages and some items, on opening day, had 'out of stock' labels over top which may mean are not going to be offered at all? Prices run from about $9.00 to $21.00. We chose pumpkin curry, ordered without any of the meat protein added options, and although we eat little animal protein and in general avoid ordering it out unless we know the source of the animal (a la Kin, Terroir, Peaceful Belly, etc) we also chose a house special described as pork belly lettuce wraps. The pumpkin curry ($14.89) was delicious and contained lots of pumpkin, carrots and onions all perfectly cooked and seasoned including many leaves of Thai Basil. We left eager to go back and try other curries because this one was so good. We had never had this pork belly dish ($15.89) at a Thai eatery, it is a special of the house here, and we learned from the owner that the pork belly is boiled then pressure sous vide cooked before slicing to ensure the best outcome. We really enjoyed the beautiful presentation and the abundance of fresh Thai herbs on the plate to use with the wrap. Those herbs are often missing at many Thai eateries as they are hard to source. In a way this dish reminded us of one of our favorite Thai appetizers, Miang Kum, a Northern Thai dish of betel leaf wrapped salad bites. Because the lettuce leaves, veg and fresh herbs served with this were so good we left eager to try the fresh salad rolls here next time. LIBATIONS: Soft libations, including Thai iced tea. Water is offered with ice or without and it comes as bottled water with $1 / charge but a second bottle is offered free if you drink the first. People can be so persnickety, which is why I offer the info about the water charge so diners don't jump all over the poor servers if they feel surprised by this. (PS - After review was posted I heard from restaurant that they have wine and beer license in place for those being served.) AMBIANCE: Pride of ownership shows for how they have tried to reimagine what was a pretty funky space during Egg Factory days to be a welcoming space. My husband and I appreciated the calming music. But this is in a poorly maintained strip mall and that is the strip mall owners issue not theirs so don't let strip mall location discourage you.. ACCESSIBILITY: If you can get in the door here, this is ADA compliant with clear floor space and standard height tables. The loo is too with the exception of the paper towel dispenser being above the 48" ADA and Idaho Code rule which means for a person using a wheelchair or a little person the operating mechanism would not be reachable. (This restaurant inherited that problem but it needs fixing.) However, the strip mall parking lot, and this is the mall owner's problem not the restaurant owner's, has NO curb ramps (aka curb cuts) between the parking lot and the walkway into the shops eateries meaning a person using a wheelchair could not access them. This has been illegal since 1991 when ADA rules and corresponding State Access Chapter building codes kicked in. FUN TIDBIT: This is named after the owner's daughter and the theme is carried forward with a fun illustration of a little girl on the menu front. TAKE OUT: No delivery services as yet but they have a takeout menu that can be used to call ahead for take out orders. It varies a bit from the main menu.

Yelp
It was very good. The store was clean and the staff were very friendly. The Boise area suffers from bad Chinese food, this restaurant is a great alternative!

Yelp
Yelp tribe hit another home-run with this recommendation. From the incredible fresh spring rolls with an unforgettable peanut sauce to the entrees Maggie's is fantastic. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Lunch specials were varied and yummy. Seasonings spot on. Ingredients very fresh. I asked for mild and it was perfect. It still had lots of flavor. Service caring and prompt.

Yelp
Maggie Thai Kitchen is new to the area, but I've been to a handful of local Thai places, and none come close to Maggie Thai. It's in an unassuming strip mall area, and it's unfortunately a bit small, and considering how busy it was and the amount of people rolling in on a Saturday night, I would consider reservations on a Friday or Saturday. The staff was working hard, eager to greet everyone and make sure all of their customers had what they needed. They were clearly overwhelmed, but they made it work. So great service... I ordered the Maggie salad and the Chicken Tom Kha Gai soup, which is one of my favorite Thai dishes. Both were incredible! The flavors of the salad were fresh and bright, and it was a nice, large salad. The soup came in a beautiful big pot with a lid, so it was easy to share with my husband, and even so, we still had leftovers to take home. The broth was strong and intentional. I loved that there were some added veggies in there rather than a what I've seen from other places - a few pieces of chicken and two mushrooms, lol. Their spicy level is 0-5, and I did a 2, which I could do, but a 1 might be more my speed. I LOVED THE SOUP. It's my new all-time favorite version! My husband ordered his usual that he orders at every Thai restaurant - Pad Thai. This is usually a heavier dish, loaded with a thick peanut sauce, but here, it's made with a lighter, tangy sauce with peanuts on the side. It's incredibly flavorful and I would recommend that you give it a try. So fantastic food... What I love about this place is that people there really care about their food, how it's prepared and presented, and they clearly prioritize their customers, too. The food is vibrant in every way...the way it looks, feels, and tastes. I almost hate to put out this glowing review, because it will create more buzz, and somebody else might beat me to a table!

Yelp
I went in with my roommates tonight and we had a great experience. Food was amazing and fresh and service was quick and so kind. We can't wait to come back.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed our first time here and we loved the cuisine as well as the service without question. We started with the Summer rolls for an appetizer which were very fresh and quite large! They paired exceptionally with the peanut sauce and were gone in short order. Our entrees included the Pad Thai and the Yum Woon Sen. We found both very flavorful and generous in portion. I will say, even if you like spicy (and I very much do...), choose what you think you can handle on the 1 to 5 scale and then back it down one. Both owners came out and chatted with us after our meal about regional Thai cuisine and how so many dishes can differ in their authentic palate from the far corners of Thailand. This will definitely be a place we will return to again and try a variety of their dishes. I encourage you to stop in and indulge the next time you're looking for something new to try.

Yelp
This is one of the tastiest Thai places around. The menu variety is fantastic, going beyond the usual American Thai options. The Back Rib Pork Panang curry was excellent and the Sagoo Pork Filling dumplings were awesome. My wife enjoyed the coconut ice cream with black sticky rice. Our waitress was very nice and helpful and the restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere. It's easy to miss in the shopping center but worth the trip!

Yelp
First time visiting Maggie's the restaurant is located in a retail strip. The atmosphere is nice and the staff is even nicer. We had a curry dish with chicken and a veggie dish with number 3 spice level. Everything was perfect and so tasty. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Marian E.

Yelp
Such good curry! I so enjoyed the summer shrimp rolls too. Next time I will go a lower number for the heat, but there will be a next time.

Yelp
3.75. Nice place, clean and comfortable. Lovely service. Tea can in a giant mug, almost a bowl! But there was lipstick on it. Simmer rolls with shrimp were nice but the peanut sauce was very thin, not the traditional thick sauce you're used to dipping into. Panang curry was good, but also thin with lots of frozen peas and carrots. The Pad see ew was tasty but very oily.
google avatar

Pattie S.

Yelp
Wow! Delicious! Huge portions! Reasonably priced. Will definitely be back and become a regular!!! Talk about a flavor bomb. We got the fresh rolls with tofu, tofu satay, shrimp pad see ew and Thai tea and Thai coffee. Nothing disappointed. Every bite was absolutely Devine and we had a ton of leftovers! The pad see ew plates could easily serve two people. This unassuming Thai place is tucked away in a strip mall, so ample parking. But don't let the humble exterior fool you! It's got ample interior space for lots of customers without overcrowding. A great diverse menu for meat eaters and vegetarians alike! We were absolutely blown away!

Yelp
Excellent on all counts!! Food, service and ambiance. Very nicely decorated. Wii definitely go again

Yelp
Great authentic food, great service! Pleasant atmosphere. Fun place. Pretty well hidden in the back corner of the strip mall.

Yelp
Very fresh very affordable the biggest iced Thai coffee I've ever had it was so good! I'll be back! Oh yeah the peanut sauce is to die for!

Yelp
You wouldn't expect to find a cute little place like this in a strip mall. It's a gem, with a nice atmosphere, classy music playing, and excellent food. Service is also impeccable, beautiful servers and smiles all around. It's not inexpensive, but nothing in Boise is cheap anymore.

Yelp
My wife and I came here on a Saturday and they had a large party. The owners were so attentive and friendly they made sure every aspect of the dining experience was perfect. The food was top notch and very flavorful. We will be back for sure. Great job by the entire restaurant team!!
google avatar

Yelp
Unfortunately the food is no longer as good as when they first opened. Even the chicken wings are less flavorful the last few times we have eaten here. Not sure what has changed but it's a shame.
google avatar

Aaron D.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised with Maggie's kitchen. The yellow curry was very fragrant and had a powerful citrus flavor. The drunken noodles were very springy and tasted just spicy enough for my taste. The service was fast and friendly. Skip the crispy shrimp appetizer as it was greasy and tasteless. Lovely little family restaurant with a vibe to match.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow. Very lucky to have tried this place. It is so great every way. The service, the food and the atmosphere are all top notch We had the salmon panang curry, Thom yum soup, fresh spring rolls (both shrimp and tofu), pad see ew noodles, crying tiger hidden tiger steak (insane thin slices steak) and the Maggie salad. The people we were with all equally enjoyed this meal and the friendly atmosphere. Will be coming back as often as possible. Make sure you try and savor each unique sauce. This is a family restaurant and i think it is named after their daughter Maggie. Very authentic and you won't miss it ! Super comfortable for grandkids. They loved the satay chicken too.
