The Best Cheesesteaks in Bucks County | Eater Philly

"The menu at Maggio’s in Southampton is huge, so you may not see the cheesesteak item right away, but don’t pass by this meaty sandwich on the food roster. The design your own cheesesteak puts you in control of the creation process where you can choose your cheese and toppings on your rib eye or chicken steak sandwich, such as provolone, Cooper sharp, Whiz, mushrooms, hot peppers, sweet peppers, sauteed onions, and pepperoni for the ultimate combination." - Kristen Kwiatkowski

If you’re looking for a place with great drinks, solid fries, and a laid-back happy hour vibe, Maggio’s is definitely worth a visit! I stopped by recently and ordered the Gyro Dinner ($19) and the Chicken Souvlaki Dinner ($19.95), and honestly, I left disappointed with the meals. The gyro meat was so thinly sliced it was burnt, resembling the pre-packaged kind you’d find at a grocery store rather than fresh, quality gyro meat. The chicken souvlaki was nothing more than grilled chicken nuggets served with an abundance of fries, which felt like a letdown for the price point. On a positive note, both dinners included a fresh, tasty salad, which was surprisingly the highlight of the meal. Still, when you’re paying nearly $20 per plate, the main entrée should shine—not just the salad. Where Maggio’s really redeems itself is their bar! The happy hour is fantastic, the drinks are well-made, and the bartender was incredible—friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The atmosphere at the bar alone made my visit worthwhile. It’s a great spot to grab a drink at a good price, unwind with good conversation, or even sit solo and just enjoy your thoughts and watch the TV(s). One major drawback was the customer service from the owner/manager. I stood at the counter for over 10 minutes waiting to place my order, watching both him and another staff member stand around eating. They clearly saw me waiting but said nothing—no greeting, no acknowledgment. If it hadn’t been for the bartender stepping in to take my order, I probably...no, i definitely would’ve walked out. Final Thoughts: Go for the vibe: Drinks, fries, happy hour, and the amazing bartender. Skip: The overpriced and cheaply made entrees, unless you’re really craving a decent salad. Customer service: Hit or miss—the bartender is excellent, but management needs serious improvement. ⭐ Rating: 2.5/5 for food, 4.5/5 for the bar experience. Recommendation: Swing by for happy hour, but sadly, eat somewhere else first, unless you're ordering bar food. Update: Yup! The food is disgusting! This is the most un-pizza I've ever had! Popeye wouldn't eat this spinach! The basil is MIA, and these sausages are disguised as nibbles! I really tried to like this place! But NEVER AGAIN! This place is not food-friendly! 🤮

Very friendly neighborhood restaurant. We had a garden salad - very fresh ingredients, and the homemade dressing was fabulous. Our supremo pizza was outstanding! Staff was friendly and outgoing. Even though they do more take-out business, we ate in and felt right at home. Don't be turned off by the outside appearance; the inside is very welcoming. We highly recommend this restaurant.

Hands down, Best Ever is my go-to spot! The flavors are always spot on, and the atmosphere is super chill. I've had some amazing food there, and the staff always makes me feel like family.

This is the second time I've ordered from here and the food didn't look like the picture on ubereats. Waste of money. This is supposed to be the chicken Philly and it barely has any chicken or peppers..

Greek pizza is excellent and Maggio’s Stromboli was perfect. Both items were full of ingredients. My only complaint would be, I’m not used to it in today’s world, someone beside us was smoking a cigarette and we’re not used to that. So the smoke was a bit much.

Delivery said 30 minutes took over 50. The pizza was smaller than expected and did not look like it had the extra cheese we ordered. The pizza was very dry and very overcooked. This was the worst pizza I have had delivered in as long as I can remember. It was like a $5 pizza you get at the grocery store. The cheese steak was very small and didn't have much meat in it. It wasn't bad though. My son got hot wings and gave them a 5/10 the meat was dry and a little overcooked. My other son got a burger and said it was the toughest burger he ever bit into. He have it a 5/10. The meal cost $72 very overpriced for such poor quality. If the restaurant offered me another meal for free, I would decline and pay to eat elsewhere instead.

We're out of towners visiting. We ordered take out the night before at our hotel and the delivery and food was very good. After check out the next day we drove to the Maggio's Italiano and ordered food to take with us back home for dinner. That's how pleased we were with the food.

Love this place... This is becoming my go to after work to allow the traffic to lighten up. Awesome food and Drinks. And Happy Hour end at 9:00pm. And don't forget about the hookah. In all the vibe is great and the staff is very friendly. Thanks Sunee for great customer service and conversation.

Yelp
if you love International Flavors, this is the place to be! We pulled up last week and it brought the diverse and international vibes ! Highlights: -Happy Hour every day from 5-9 PM -Alcoholic and non-alcoholic drink options -Karaoke on Tuesdays -Hookah available -Big portions, authentic flavors and we got all this for under $100! What we ate: - garlic bread - falafel - mozzarella sticks - wings - greek salad w/ gyro - margarita pizza - shrimp florentina If you are looking for good vibes, great food, and even better prices? this is your spot. Ask for Nikki when you go ! She will take good care of you!

Yelp
I wish I had taken a picture of the food but I took a small bite to sample it and never stopped We went on a Monday night - the lounge felt like great 26+ vibes. Not too noisy but filled with good conversation and interaction. We met David and immediately felt at home. He had just finished some ribs and pulled pork NC style. We're from NC so it felt kismet-- and it was actually a great representation! We went after midnight and the staff still so kind and incredibly helpful. We will be back time and time again!

Yelp
Tried out for 1st time. I think quality is good, but price is rather high for tiny strip mall. I would like it if the price is better, but I rather go to Old town with ambience for that. I just don't want to pay $20 for lasagna in strip mall that looks like chinese carry out joint..
