Google
Cute coffee shop near the beach and shopping area in Cape May. We were in town mid February so it was cold but the coffee was hot. We didn’t get any good but the pastry case was tempting. Cozy atmosphere and friendly baristas. It was a little challenging to find a parking spot but this is easily walkable from surrounding hotels.

Google
Delicious lavender latte, many choices for non dairy milk, the scones (cheddar chive and vegan chocolate chip) and the cinnamon bun croissant are scrumptious. Very friendly service. Overall true coffee shop vibes, wish I could have curled up with a good book there but maybe next time!

Google
Fun coffee shop, I stopped in here for a cup of coffee after breakfast, and before walking around the shops. It looked like there was a yoga class setting up upstairs, coffee was fresh, definitely worth checking out.

Google
A lovely gem of a café with a little bit of everything for everyone. A reading nook full of books, cozy chairs and seats for anyone who wants to linger a while. I highly recommend the London Fog with lavendar sweetner and a raspberry creamcheese croissant muffin...Delicious!!! They're located in a quaint mall with several other small boutiques and shops from jewelry to clothing.

Google
cute little shop to get quality coffee. stopped here on vacation and had an iced coffee with oat milk and butter pecan syrup. wide selection of syrup flavors and they have specialty milks. prices were amazing for the quality too. if i didn’t live so far away i would definitely stop by again.

Google
I found this place by accident while walking around the Washington Mall. This adorable little cafe had excellent coffee, treats, and baked goods to choose from. The person behind the counter was very friendly and talkative and advised is the best places to visit in Cape May. This cafe is in a house b&b so it's not a full size cafe but rather a cute quaint little place to stop off for breakfast or lunch with delicious baked goods. You can eat inside, or on the porch and effort the ocean breeze. Like sitting out in the country. Very pleasant overall experience.

Google
We got an iced oat milk latte, which was average at best, and an iced tea, which was so terrible it was undrinkable and we threw it away. It tasted like coffee. Waste of money! I’d never recommend or return to this place. Luckily we have much better lattes and teas at the Delaware beaches! Also just FYI there are no tables and no place to sit inside or outside.

Google
Great location near the beach and Congress Hall. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and take time to explain menu items/make recommendations. There is also a cool staircase with paintings of books on the side, adding an artistic flair to the space. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Cute funky space, friendly staff and solid cups of caffeine. Upon entry you see a little nook with seats and books alongside a few other seating options by the window and a bench area on the right. The counter is small but offers a number of baked goods including vegan options. We opted for: London fog (5/5) Dirty chai with oat milk (5/5) really delish and what I wanted. I even bought the last container of chai they use on site 2 vegan chocolate chip scones (5/5) hit for the kiddos It's within a little "mall" next to the famously pink store with a yoga studio upstairs. The man working that day gave the littles cute little magic brain temporary tattoos and as folks were filing in you could tell it's an adored gem in the neighborhood. Can't wait to try to replicate the chai at home and will come back!

Yelp
Came here as our first stop off the Lewes-Cape May ferry. The place is so cute and welcoming. The two staff members were very kind and answered all our questions and more! I received a perfectly temped mocha latte, which was tasty. My friend had a chocolate scone and an anise biscotti and her very first mocha latte. She really enjoyed everything! Not a ton of seating, but we all made it work. They have lots of options for bagged coffee, which looked good but I couldn't make a decision. It would appear they also have yoga upstairs, which is fun. Sad I missed this, but in the corner by the window they have games! Would definitely come back if I am in the area again.

Yelp
What a cool little hidden gem of a coffee joint. Tucked in one of those indoor semi malls. Great selection of coffees, espressos etc. A few people working on the laptops, ha ha I was on vacation. Fast service and espresso had a nice crema!

Ashley L.

Yelp
Coffee is really great here! No loose leaf tea but if you like tea they serve mighty tea which is a great brand!

Steven H.

Yelp
If you're looking for 24 pumps of syrup in your latte this is the place. Not a very enjoyable cup of joe.

Tim L.

Yelp
If you find yourself in Cape May this small little coffee shop is a solid place to get your caffeine fix. The small footprint means there can inherently be a build up of patrons with just 1 or 2 workers serving. However they manage to handle the orders and lines with incredible patience and joy at an efficient pace. If you like your syrups they have a solid assortment and with a few interesting lattes on the menu there was something for everyone in my party of 10.

Eve S.

Yelp
They have great coffee, their frozen hot chocolate is delicious and their croissants are perfectly flaky!

Melanie M.

Yelp
Arrived a few minutes before 7am. Drip coffee was ready to go and baked goods were steaming up the display. We ordered a drip coffee, Caramel Macchiato, chocolate croissant and chocolate chip scone. The Caramel Macchiato is twice as sweet as the one served at Starbucks. I preferred Out There Coffee. My husband preferred this place.

Brittany F.

Yelp
Like, not love. I ordered an Americano and 3 scones. The Americano was great, and I love hot coffee, but there were no sleeves. None out on the counter and none offered. My husband enjoyed his vegan chocolate chip scone, my son also liked his blueberry scone. I had the cheddar/chive. It was... ok. It didn't have a ton of flavor, and doesn't seem like they salted the dough well. It was definitely disappointing.

Julia F.

Yelp
Nice ambiance, cute cafe. Good fast service even with only one employee working. Iced coffee was Made well, delicious, and reasonably priced.

Klaudia W.

Yelp
Super cute coffee shop if you're in the Cape May area, the staff is sweet and the coffee is great! There's chairs where you can sit and chat with your friends while you drink coffee and eat their pastries

Sheila R.

Yelp
Great coffee shop in center of town. Slightly off the beaten path of Washington Square. We ordered a latte and caramel macchiato. Both were very well made a delicious. There was no line when we arrived around 4 pm, so that made it even better.

Yang H.

Yelp
I had a life-changing cinnamon scone here while on vacation! I don't normally get cinnamon scones but I'm so glad I took a chance on it when I visited this cafe. Theirs is made with cinnamon chips(?) throughout, and the cinnamon tidbits just melt delightfully in your mouth! The scone itself is perfectly airy yet crumbly. Bonus if you get here early and can grab one that's fresh and toasty! I loved it so much that I had to go back the next day for another one before we headed home! Coffee is also consistent here. I also love the cute little DIY bookshelf/library painting on the staircase inside, very sweet!

Stephanie L.

Yelp
Super cute little coffee shop with very limited seating inside. Line is always long but it goes quick. I recommend getting any of the espresso drinks (The medium lattes come with 2 shots of espresso and the large comes with 3 shots) I had a cookie dough iced latte, a red eye coffee, cheddar chive scone and blueberry scone. The red eye is their drip coffee with a shot of espresso. Coffee is strong and delicious, definitely also try one of their baked goods too!

Russell D.

Yelp
Great staff, fantastic service and great coffees and teas! This place checks every box

Kat M.

Yelp
Sorry I can't find the option to message you Stephen!! I am a barista and opening a coffee shop eventually so trust me I can be unbiased and enjoy lattes with flavor regardless of if that's my go to. I also wouldn't let my options of other coffee shops affect my opinion of yours, so not sure why you brought up the other reviews. I did come back and try your cortado but it still wasn't up to par. I had hoped I could meet you and try yours because I guarantee you would of done a better pour. Your fresh baked cookies are awesome though. Cheers

Megan S.

Yelp
Lavazza coffee was brewed perfectly, and super reasonable prices. Cinnamon scone was to die for. Cute little coffee shop near Washington mall.

Mary S.

Yelp
Stopped in during my walk for a chocolate croissant and decaf iced coffee and ate it out front. It was fantastic! Always a pleasure there - good service and excellent food and beverages. Well done!!

Athena B.

Yelp
Went here with my family for coffee and other drinks. I'm not a fan of coffee, so I got a steamer. I asked the barista what flavor he recommended to go with oat milk and he suggested lavender. I'm not opposed to lavender, but it also wouldn't have been my first choice. It was interesting and I still enjoyed it, but I would definitely try something else next time like cookies and cream, or hazelnut or something. They have several flavors and some unique ones (hence the lavender). My nephew got a hot chocolate which I tried and that also tasted good. It's a cute little store and they even have yoga upstairs. They also had some games and a teeny bit of seating. We played jumbo tic tac toe. I'd say if you're looking for a coffee shop, this would be a nice place to try out.

Janet D.

Yelp
When in Cape May, this is a must stop for your coffee and beverage needs. They have many options for syrups, SF too, many choices of milks to use as well. Small business run, fun and a need spot to sit and recharge. LOVE IT HERE...PS, loved my "dealers choice" pick for my SF ice coffee

Whisker P.

Yelp
Great lil place. They sell $6 earrings too! I was delighted! Ben was charming, funny, and a pleasure to work with. Their coffee is great! I would totally come back.

Paul L.

Yelp
After spending the last 25 years searching for a good coffee shop in Cape May, I found not one but two good ones during our visit this year. This shop is not like the typical Old Tyme coffee shop that serves colored hot water and calls it coffee. Magic Brain is the real deal - quality coffee and food served by friendly employees. So refreshing. My family loved their espresso drinks, especially the iced chai. I had a delicious carrot cake loaf. My drip coffee was good too, but I like the version across the street a little better. I'm very happy to have found this shop!

Ray A.

Yelp
Great and dependable coffee. Love this place whenever I visit my favorite beach town. Just across the street from Congress Hall.

Roslyn C.

Yelp
Glad to come across this hidden gem on a morning walk to explore Cape May! Fast and friendly service with a great spicy chai customized to perfection!! The warm baked goods smelled amazing as they fogged up the display case. Will be back again to try some other items. The ambiance is quaint and eclectic!

Lena F.

Yelp
This cafe is the place to go! The matcha latte, iced coffee, and the frozen hot chocolate was super delicious. I could just tell they made it with care! Not only that, but the shop itself was soooo cute. I just had to visit after looking at the adorable logo! I would definitely visit again when in the area!!!

Paul W.

Yelp
The good: the baked goods are delicious looking and don't disappoint. The staff is super friendly and the experience overall makes me want to come back. The drip coffee was tasty while the espresso in my latte was average and a bit on the weak side. The milk was well frothed, though, which made up a bit for the pull. In spite of slightly disappointing espresso, I'd still come back and try a different drink. the bad: we weren't planning to stay, but the cafe is super small. I think I recall seeing 4 seats total. the ugly: nothing.

Jennie E.

Yelp
My favorite coffee shop in Cape May the coffee is so good & my go-to choice compared to the other coffee shops nearby. definitely recommend if you're looking for a good latte

Glenn S.

Yelp
I found myself in Cape May on a nice afternoon and was really looking forward to a good coffee so I did a quick Yelp check. Magic Brain Cafe was just a few blocks away and had some great reviews so off I was. The "cafe" is located in a small pedestrian mall filled with specialty shops and a few nice art galleries. When I entered Magic Brain Cafe it looked like it wasn't even open. Perhaps it was due to COVID that they had to remove the tables but the inside looked like a wreck. There was a shop vac in the middle of the floor and furniture and signs piled up against the wall. Anyway, despite the mess I thought a decent cup of coffee was going to be had here based on all the positive reviews. I approached the plexiglass barrier and perused the blackboard menu. No espresso option, no cortado option, nor a macchiato option. I don't drink milk so had to decide on a non-daily option and they had them all. Coconut, oat (for a 70 cents up charge), soy, and almond. So, I decided to order a coconut milk latte. The drink was $5 and I left $1 in the giant tip jar on the counter. I asked the barista how many shots were in my drink and he told me there is 2 in a medium. In 2 minutes my drink was ready. Unfortunately, it was not very good. The milk was flat (no froth) and I could barely taste a hint of espresso! Maybe I came at a bad time or someone made a mistake making my drink but this was one of the worst coffees I've ever had. I'm sorry Magic Brain Cafe, maybe I'll try you again one day.

Yelp
This has to be one of the places where I received the best caramel macchiato ever. Right off my head, the place is decorated with aesthetically pleasing photos and furniture. It reminds me of a secret library with endless ideas & coffee; Heaven. The service here is friendly and warm. My iced caramel macchiato is very sweet; which I love. My friend got an iced latte which was really strong; Perfect. Will come again!

Laurel C.

Yelp
Happened upon the Magic Brain Cafe by chance. It's not on the main thoroughfare, but very close by on the next street over! They offer an enormous variety of latte/coffee flavors (listed under Syrups on the menu board). We tried the Lavender latte & Toasted Marshmallow latte. Both were excellent from first to last sip. Just the perfect coffee to ease into the day. *Note: 10/10 customer service - We saw the staff offer to remake a drink for a customer who wanted less cream. It was done very courteously and quickly.

Susie W.

Yelp
Good coffee, personable coffee dude who gave good recommendations for local dinner options, and yummy anise/almond biscotti. I'd go back!

Jocelyn N.

Yelp
I was happy to find this spot in Cape May -- plenty of coffee and other drink options. My boyfriend's frozen hot chocolate was amazing and my iced coffee with cake batter syrup was delicious-- they had so many flavoring options, including sugar free varieties. I also had a cheddar chive scone based on other yelp reviews and it was really good-- I wish there had been more pastries available, though.

Joanna L.

Yelp
Magic Brain is a great cafe. It's simple, quaint, and smells amazing. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. I love their iced coffee, and the pastries all look amazing.

Samantha P.

Yelp
One of my very favorite coffee shops. Great coffee, comfortable places to sit and relax, and super friendly and helpful staff.

Heather O.

Yelp
Love this place. Bummer there's no seating in a Covid-year, but it's a small space so it's understandable. Still a great Chai Latte.

Yuri Y.

Yelp
Really delicious coffee!! We drank americanos and espresso and the daily brew -- all excellent! Brought our own dessert which the barista graciously allowed us to consume at a family table in this small but perfectly cute shop. Hidden from the street in an indoor alley of sorts -- amidst galleries and other curio stores -- a pleasant place to catch a breather after dinner in town -- or in between other Cape May adventures. A keeper.

Isabella C.

Yelp
If you are an avid matcha lover and coffee shop searcher, this matcha isn't true matcha. It is made with mix that Dunkin' Donuts would use. I'm sure the coffee is great but this matcha is too sugary and not authentic for me!

Mallory D.

Yelp
Magic Brain is a cute whimsical little coffee shop in Cape May. I thoroughly enjoyed my visit here and definitely thoroughly enjoyed my scone! Magic brain has lots of flavor options for their coffee. I really liked the toasted marshmallow. My only slightly issue was that they had ran out of the first three flavors my friend and I requested. I don't recall what kind of coffee they are brewing here, but whatever it was it was delicious. I also highly recommend the cinnamon scone, it was the perfect accompaniment to my brew.

Hailey K.

Yelp
I got an iced chai tea with coconut milk, it wasnt as good as I expected but the 2 other people that ordered with me loved their drinks so it wss probably just my choice! The cashier was very nice and this cafe is very involved in taking care of the beach. Overall good coffee as long as you know what you want, great customer service, and a very great company!

Lacey S.

Yelp
Wow!! After searching about 20 minutes for a parking space around the area at 7:00 pm on a Saturday. We searched this place out and gawked at all the flavors to choose from for our make shift lattes. As I tried to once again explain my dislike for milk and the amount that goes into coffee shop lattes. The lady working the register was very enthusiastic that they had oat milk and they could make these drinks called "cortados"! Anyone who knows me, knows that's my drink! They just don't normally put it on the menu and no one knows how to make them, so I usually walk them through it and take what I get. This 1 required no fib to say it's good because IT WAS AMAZING!! Best coffee we've had in a minute! We would definitely recommend this place to any consumer. The coffee was rich and deep in flavor and just a touch of caramel and oat milk was the perfect blend for that afternoon kick!

Brooke B.

Yelp
Great coffee, super cute space and love that they take credit card. Most other coffee shops near the beach are cash only. Definitely try a crumpkin if they still have some.

John L.

Yelp
First--it was open, automatic minimum 3. The coffee was flavorful--up to 4. The breakfast pastries were very very good and the service prompt, efficient, friendly. Solid 5 and a thank you!!

Libby B.

Yelp
I love this place! I've been coming for 5-6 years, and I introduced my friends from PA a few years ago. The service is great, friendly, and the product quality is high. I just had to go non-dairy a couple months ago, and their decaf espresso and chai lattes are great with coconut milk. They even have a loyalty card. My only gripe is there is zero seating since COVID became a thing. It's really sad and also a pain if I just want to hang out and sip my latte for 10-15 minutes. Since it's gotten colder, I've been taking my coffee drinks to sit by the fire in Congress Hall, but I do feel that Magic Brain should offer something, even if only 2-3 seats. I'd give it 5 stars because I'd know they are trying to accommodate as the weather gets chilly.

Neha P.

Yelp
Best Chai Latte/iced chai latte's around. Cool hole in the wall with great fresh scones.. love the cinnamon ones and the cheddar chive scones. i can eat and drink there 3 times a day. nom nom nom. thanks.

Carissa D.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to this coffee shop which was recommended by my mom who had enjoyed this coffee a few times during visits to Cape May. She's a coffee snob so I trusted her. And it was just as wonderful as she described! I especially loved the options for sugar free and non-diary options even in their specialty espresso and latte drinks. The staff was super friendly and helpful with any special requests. I recommend trying the giant peanut butter chocolate chip cookie with your drink!

Dann S.

Yelp
Great coffee shop and boy do they have their COVID mitigation figured out for such a small space. Ordered a caramel latte and plan black coffee. Both were great!

Cindy G.

Yelp
Charming spot and good lattes - very small inside so plan to stroll with your coffee.

Colleen A.

Yelp
They have Lactaid lactose free milk!! This makes me SO happy! I rarely ever find places that offer lactose free options other than almond and soy milk (which I am not a fan of AT ALL). The coffee was delicious and the service was quick and staff was friendly!

Rebecca L.

Yelp
Huge fan of the London Fog Latte (choice of vanilla or lavender) but not a fan of the coffee. When I was half way through my coffee, I got a mouthful of coffee grounds. Very gross and unexpected. Overall friendly service with okay amount of seating. The place is cozy and the prices are good. There are some board games available for use.

Annei B.

Yelp
Lovely coffee place right in the center of Cape May High Street. Service is good, drinks are awesome.
