1st review of 2024, so make it a great one!!
If you're reading this, you can Venmo or Zelle me since I basically posted the show, lol. Jk jk!! Magic Mike LIVE is one and a half hours of non-stop laughs, oohs, ahhs, and OMGs, to say the very least. The ambiance is cool and casual in an intimate setting.
Based on other reviews, this show has been at other hotels on the Vegas strip in the past, but is now located on the north side inside the Sahara Resort & Casino. You can purchase tickets online in advance or when you get there prior to the show if they aren't sold out. We got lucky and purchased tickets right before the 10pm show. We originally were seated at the bar, which was right behind a couch (I believe section 104), so the view was good and not obstructed at all. As we settled into our bar-height seats, 2 ladies seated on the couch turned around, kept looking at us, whispered amongst themselves before finally asking if we wanted to sit with them. We were like, "Hell YEAHHHH!!" lol The rest of their crew didn't show up, so we happily obliged.
The servers walking around took a little while before we were able to order some drinks. They don't serve food here. The show is absolutely WILD! They say there is no bad seat in the house, and I would have to agree, although I am slightly biased since my face was about 3 feet from the stage!
If it's your birthday or you're there celebrating your bachelorette, one of the dancers will most likely make you part of the show. I would suggest coming prepared, which means dress appropriately and conceal whatever you don't want to be exposed. You may end up on the bar or the stage while they do their thing on you! I love that they are inclusive of everyone. They pulled a GRANDMA on the stage, and as you can see from my video, she enJOYed herself very much, laying on her back and all!! They give out fake money so you can throw them bills on stage without having to actually pull out cash. That was thoughtful!
There were some parts of the show that I wasn't into, mostly when the hostess was talking. I just wanted to see/watch the dancers the entire time, but the show is meant to be played out like the movie. I also have to agree with some other reviews regarding the dancers. It's obvious they all work out, but some were bigger than others. I appreciate their effort, but I do like to see hefty beefcakes for a show of this caliber if you know what I mean, lol. For those reasons, I dropped a star. I won't lie, though. My eyes were on Kalani the whole time! Cute island boy for this island girl, hehe..
Pro tips: they don't allow any outside food or drinks, but you can take pictures and videos as long as you don't use a flash.
I highly recommend it for a ladies' night. The vibe, the energy, the choreography, and inclusion made it a solid 4 stars for me. It is costly, but A.) you're in Vegas and B.) you get what you pay for. Hope you get lucky like we did and get a front row seat at the last minute! enJOY the show! ;)
