Hand-pulled noodles made in view of the dining room put Magic Noodle on the map; Oklahoma Gazette noted the concept’s local impact, and current ordering pages confirm it’s active in Norman. Soup dumplings, Lanzhou beef, and Xi’an hot oil noodles lead. This place has fantastic food and friendly staff. Their prices are reasonable, especially with their huge portions. You can see them in the kitchen hand-pulling the noodles fresh. I got the Seafood Hotpot, and it was quite literally the best bowl of soup I've ever had. It was only 17.99 and I had enough leftovers to feed me for three more meals!

Over the past (almost) two years, my family and I have greatly enjoyed visiting and eating at Magic Noodle. Although it is further out for us, it is worth the longer drive to dine here! Our experiences here with the food, service, and staff have always been positive. We love eating here for special occasions or just when we would like to have some good Asian food in Oklahoma! We always get the Chicken/Pork Potstickers, Chicken Stir Fried Shaved Noodles, Dan Dan Noodles, Scallion Pancakes, Shredded Potato Salad, and Soup Dumplings. For certain ones, we get specifically a couple orders of it! Here, everything is so delicious and well-cooked. Every time we go, the quality has been consistent, and it has never disappointed us. The Soup Dumplings are the main highlight of our meals at Magic Noodle. It is wonderfully hot and fresh, and it usually has a decent amount of soup per dumpling. Some places I have eaten at before had little or close to nothing in terms of broth. That does not completely take away from eating the soup dumplings, but it is kind of in the name! Here, we do not tend to have that issue though! Personally, I love pairing the Soup Dumplings (and other dishes as well) with the provided chili oil. My sibling enjoys eating the Chicken/Pork Potstickers. I usually do not gravitate towards eating them, but at Magic Noodle it has the perfect amount of crunch and accompanying flavors of the filling! I can speak similarly of the Scallion Pancakes. For those, it is made with the right amount of thickness in order to maintain that crunch. Also, it works well as something more neutral compared to the Shredded Potato Salad or Chicken Stir Fries Shaved Noodles! My favorite appetizer would be the Shredded Potato Salad—it is absolutely my most favorite thing on their menu! It is not overly spicy (which is fine) but definitely does not lack in flavor! It always pairs nicely with the other dishes (as pictured in this review). The Chicken Stir Fried Shaved Noodles is awesome as well! It is so interesting to be able to watch them make it in the kitchen. Besides that, the meat, noodles, and vegetables and nicely mixed up in equal proportion to each other. Usually, we have some of this left over to take home, and it is still great outside the restaurant! Other than that, one of my parents gets the Dan Dan Noodles. Although I have had only a few bites during our times eating here, it is something I would probably get if I ever ate here by myself. In the review, I also showed this Limited-time Steamed Pork Bao. Unfortunately, I could not remember what flavor it was, but it was so good to try when they had it as a Special. However, I do not think it will be back. If you do go once or even more than that, be sure to see if they have anything else to try for a limited time! Occasionally, my sibling and I order a Tiramisu and split it. This is one of my favorite places to get it from! I feel that the flavors within the Tiramisu are balanced well. Even though my sibling does not enjoy coffee flavors usually, this dessert balances a the slightly bitter flavors with a generous amount of creaminess. It is also presented so beautifully! Often times, we take little bites to truly enjoy and savor the Tiramisu and to see who can get the last bite. We all love Magic Noodle! With its great service and atmosphere, we will keep coming back whenever we can!

Google
This place is phenomenal. The people are very polite, the food is delicious, and getting to watch them make the noodles is pretty cool. We ordered shrimp dumplings, soup dumplings, Xian noodles, and Dan Dan noodles. Too good and serving size were pretty hefty. Would recommend anyone to come here.

Google
I'm always looking out for a good Pad Thai, and I found one here. The pork and cabbage fried bao was amazing too. I live 45 minutes away, and Uber eats got it here fast and hot. The portions were satisfyingly big, and the prices were not unreasonable. It's a great act of will to wait for my husband to get home so I can share this amazing experience. 😂

Google
The service and atmosphere were great! Very kid friendly too. The only complaint I have is the noodles. They were made in house and tasted good but they clumped together too much and the soup wasn’t very hot. It wasn’t cold but I’d prefer it hotter. Middle of the egg was also cold but everything was still good

Google
Magic Noodle is my favorite restaurant ever, I drive the 45 minutes at least every two weeks to go and have their spicy beef noodle soup. I've never had anything I didn't like from them and I feel like I've tried at least half the menu by now! Would highly recommend to anyone!

Google
The food is absolutely amazing!!! I got the shrimp noodles and the wifey got beef noodles. Both were very fresh and piping hot. The service was excellent and the restaurant was very clean and in order! I would highly recommend Magic Noodle to all of friends and family A++

Google
This place is DELICIOUS! They hand-make all their noodles right there in an open kitchen. I can’t usually say that literally everything on the menu is incredible but that’s just how it is here. You can’t go wrong. I will say that their spicy options are pretty spicy, so be prepared for that. Also, the service is incredible. They perfectly walked the line between attentive and intrusive. We walked out commenting that it may have been the best waiter service we’ve ever had. Pricing: Every entree is between $11-14. Appetizers are closer to $7-10 generally. It’s a tad expensive but it’s also a lot of food. Everyone in our group had leftovers.

Yelp
This noodle shop was quite impressive. One of the highlights was watching the chef hand-pull fresh noodles right in front of us--such a cool experience. I ordered the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, and the broth was absolutely delicious: rich, beefy, and not overly salty. The noodles had great texture and chew, though I wasn't as impressed with the sliced beef. It was braised in soy sauce, which added good flavor, but the meat itself tasted a bit off, maybe textured? compared to other places I've tried. We also tried the pork soup dumplings. Unfortunately, they were a letdown--bland and lacking the soupy burst you'd expect. The dipping sauce was heavy on the vinegar, which overpowered the subtle flavors. Service was friendly but on the slower side and not particularly attentive.

Yelp
Took the food to go and when I got home it was still very hot. The noodles are extremely fresh and will definitely be back

Yelp
My long search for a traditional Chinese hand pulled noodle shop in OK, the ones often depicted as late night street vendors in historic Chinese dramas, has officially ended. I've finally found it. What I love most about this noodle shop is they hand-make your noodles fresh, right in front of you. As a result, the noodles have a very good texture. The noodles are soft but able to retain a firm bite, and that is the "magic" in Magic Noodle. This noodle shop is small with 4 workers running the shop. It was quite busy and can get "hot" due to the open kitchen. Does it have the best broth? NO. It's all about the noodles, and I am all in. Words cannot express my love for this type of restaurant: unique, traditional, cultural while providing us with fresh products, something that has lost with mass production of food since the 19th century. Two roads diverged in a yellow woods, and Magic Noodle took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference for me. [1] 1. Robert Frost, The Road Not Taken. 1915.

Yelp
We had a nice experience overall and truly enjoyed the food. One of the chefs made fresh noodles right in front of us, which was a lot of fun to watch. The server mentioned that each person receives fresh noodles, and I even recorded a video of it. However, she forgot about the side dish we ordered, which didn't arrive. I mentioned I thought it might still be cooking, but that's not possible since it was pre-made shredded potatoes, which were actually quite good. Despite a few hiccups with the service, I really liked the food, so I'll overlook the mistakes. I ordered a sweet blackberry tea, but it was too sugary for my taste, so I ended up throwing it away. I didn't want to complain too much since the server had already made several errors. For instance, she thought eggs would be fine for a vegetarian dish, but I had no way of knowing that the noodle soup would contain them, as it wasn't mentioned on the menu. All she offered was an apology, so it would have been better if she had suggested an exchange. Overall, I enjoyed the meal despite the issues.

Yelp
What I like -Service is friendly and fast -place is clean -food is home made and not frozen which you can experience with the fresh quality and flavor of the food. The standout for me was the rib noodles that I had, rich broth flavor, and the ribs were really good. Unfortunately, the soup dumpling is what I didn't like the most but was still better than 90% of restaurants that offer soup dumplings. If or when I find myself in Norman again I'm sure I will be back. Good Chinese comfort food done right.

Yelp
Our first time going through this area on our way to Oklahoma City and pleasantly surprised by the Chinese food offerings here! Food was SPOT ON! We got green onion pancake, stir fry chicken noodles, pan fried buns (yeah!), Singapore mei fun (I can't recall what they called it on the menu). Everything was delicious, we did not leave anything behind. There was a nice touch with the salted peanuts at the table. It's been a long time since I saw that served at a table. We saw someone hand pulling noodles when we first walked in, we'll have to order that dish the next time we visit! It truly was a magical food experience.

Yelp
This is our 'go to' for dumplings, noodles and bao. The food is always great! The service is great!

Yelp
The inside is clean and there were two other parties there when we sat down. You can order by scanning the QR code on the table which was pretty neat, but you can't lay on the site, just order. I ordered the hand pulled noodle stir fry with chicken and my boyfriend got the black ramen. My boyfriend's ramen came out way before my food. I wish they came out at the same time, so we could enjoy them together. My dish came out about 5-7 minutes after his ramen and it was so good! It was huge to say the least. I could only eat a portion of my plate and I'll have enough for lunch tomorrow! The noodles were chewy and flavorful and the dish has lots of veggies! I really enjoyed that dish! I decided to try a dessert that was a steamed bun fried maybe? And condensed milk to dip in. I've had this dish before when I lived in Hawaii and it was a little different when I had it. The buns came out steamed nice and pillowy soft at the other place, here it is a little different like they are fried or dipped in a sugary substance. I think I prefer them steamed, so I can pull apart the bun to dip in the sauce. Still pretty good though and I enjoyed my lunch!

Yelp
Best hand pulled noodles in town. Small family owned restaurant with great service. Portion size was just right. Not too small and not too large.

Yelp
Wow! Hands down best noodle place! We went on a Friday to try something new, loved it so much we went back the following Monday. We tried the Japanese black ramen, pad Thai, Dan Dan noodles, soup dumplings, spicy ramen, pan fried pork bao buns, matcha latte, latte milk tea, cappuccino milk tea, and the fried bread. Service was amazing and everyone was really attentive. Noodles are made fresh and you have a clear view of how the guy does it. The matcha is a little strong but I liked that. Definitely recommend!

Erika O.

Yelp
We ordered takeout on a Sunday evening. It was done super quick and the food was super fresh. The soup dumplings were so good and the pan fried bao was super crispy. I had the Dan Dan noodles, the broth was super flavorful. The ramen was the same noodles as the Dan Dan noodles and wasn't ramen noodles but the broth was good. Such a great spot for delicious Chinese food!
google avatar

Bryan L.

Yelp
The spicy cucumber is ok. Not much on the side of flavor. Everything else was very tasty. There is a lot more noodles and not as much meat and veggies (2 pieces bok choy). Soup dumplings and pan fried bao (pork) were very good.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been wanting to dine here for awhile and finally my husband and I went last Saturday around 8pm. I think we were treated by the owners daughter who also seated us. There are a lot of choices to choose from and so I ordered 2 green onion pancakes because we loooove those! And an order of spicy cucumbers. We took the left over marinade with us to pour over our veggies at home.I had the beef burrito (not Mexican type) and French fries. My husband had noodles with a meat combo. Whoa, yummy and flavorful! Great service and we got to see the owner make the fresh noodle by stretching and pulling them before being cut! Totally traditional and unexpected to see. We will be back to order other items we didn't try sometime soon.

Chris S.

Yelp
Great service, excellent good, awesome menu selection. It was pretty neat watching them make the noodles.

Yelp
Magic Noodle is a good Asian Noodle restaurant. They serve numerous fresh noddle dishes. The dishes we tried had a lot of flavor and the service was good.

Yelp
Hand-spun noodles... 'nuff said. I have not had ramen this good in so long (and that's after a road trip through California). This is what I would expect every authentic handmade noodle house to be like. Everything is fresh and super tasty - every bite is meant to be savored! I had Japanese ramen and soup dumplings... will come back for more!!

Yelp
Although I have ALWAYS wanted to try this place, I just never got the chance to until a few weeks ago. stopped by Magic Noodle and absolutely loved everything we got. It's a small/comfortable environment and we were seated immediately. We pretty much ordered everything we wanted right away: the soup dumplings, fried dumplings, shrimp dumplings, scallion pancakes, hand pulled spicy oil noodles, and some kind of fried rice which I don't have pictures of. Everything was DELICIOUS!!! Seeing them prepare the noodles was so cool. Everything was flavorful, affordable, filling, and perfect for a cold fall day. They had the best fried rice I've ever eaten: soft, loads of meat, and very very flavorful. The soup dumpling is also the best I've had in Oklahoma, and I'm from the northeast where soup dumplings are common, huge, and so juicy! I'm glad to have found something comparable in Oklahoma. I wish I lived closer just to be able to go more often and try more things on the menu, but I will definitely be back to try this place again!

Yelp
The place was clean and the service was very good. o didn't take any pictures but it wouldn't help. The ramen looked great and so did the meat buns but the flavor and texture were ok. the dough for the buns felt a little undercooked and the meat mixture was good but didn't wow you. the ramen noodle texture was great. the flavor of the beef in the spicy beef ramen was weird. the broth was also ok. the first few bites were weird and it grew in me but I didn't want to go back. the spice level was great though. overall it wasn't bad, but I wouldn't go out of my way.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing. One of my two favorite restaurants in Norman. A must visit for those who love Ramen or home made Asian noodle dishes.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing handmade noodles and dumplings! I can't wait to come back to try some more dishes.
google avatar

Nequel B.

Yelp
De licio is as always. Service was great, it didn't take long for the food to come outside they were not that busy when I arrived at the lunch hour but started picking up as I was leaving.
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent noodles and dumplings, very traditional and certainly "magic" in terms of quality. There is a bowl of Chinese peanuts at every table which is cool. I got the hand-made noodles with lamb and it was fantastic. Also appetizers of the beef roll-up, steamed dumplings and soup dumplings. Has the sweet red bean buns for dessert as well. They also sell an assortment of Chinese brand drinks and I got an orange flavored one as well as a honey tea beverage. Overall highly recommended and you must experience the "magic" of magic noodle first hand to believe it!

Robert B.

Yelp
Super great service. Great food. We will make this a regular place to eat Yep

Sara L.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place since it opened but I'm hardly ever on this side of Norman. So glad we made it though. The food was amazing. I got the DanDan Noodles and we split the Pan-Fried Bao. I appreciated the peanuts on the table while we waited on our food. Everything is made fresh so it takes a little while to make. The staff was really nice. The place is cute and casual. I appreciated the ambience of the Asian music they had playing though do wish the music wasn't quite so loud. We were sat near the speaker and it gave me a headache. We definitely be back again.
google avatar

Virginia L.

Yelp
Hand pulled noodles right in front of us! The flavor was out of this world! I wasn't sure what to order so I basically asked the server what is most popular for a first-timer. I can't remember what we had but it was delicious! Never rushed by the wait staff. The employees were so kind and friendly. Ambiance was low key and comfortable. I'm getting hungry just thinking about those hand-made noodles. Please check them out, you will love it!

Yelp
Great hand pulled noodles ! Very friendly and helpful service and flavorful broth. The noodles are chewy and delicious. Perfect for cold winter day. We got pan fried bao, steamed bao, steamed dumplings, pot stickers and fried chicken dumplings. All appetizers were delicious. Probably liked the fried chicken dumplings and pans fried bao the most. We ordered the Lanzhou beef noodle soup, pork rib noodle soup and Japanese black ramen. And had sesame balls with red bean for dessert. If you like spicy- ask for the super secret chili oil.
google avatar

April K.

Yelp
The space is small but we arrived late afternoon with only a few other tables occupied. Pleasant service but once receiving our food, she didn't come back until she brought the check. We both had the Japanese black ramen. One with beef and one with chashu. The broth was amazing. The egg was perfect. The hand strung noodles were delicious. This place is definitely in our top 3 ramen places.
google avatar

Arthur H.

Yelp
We love this place. Fresh hand made noodles. Everything is delicious. Service is amazing. Small restaurant but comfortable. Hidden gem, hidden in plain sight.
google avatar

Yelp
Everything I've ever purchased here has been amazing. We love the spicy beef noodle and the black ramen. We also love the red bean buns
google avatar

Lydia C.

Yelp
Loved our food and the dancing toddler running down the bench seating! Every dish came out hot and fresh, and the house made noodles are perfection. Shrimp dumplings were like eating a cloud. Broth for the spicy beef soup was not very spicy but it was super flavorful and there is chili oil on the table to adjust to taste. Will definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
BEST hand drawn noodles in OKC/Norman hands down!!!! I'm so glad I found this establishment! Having used to live in Philly's Chinatown, I have missed good Chinese noodles. These hit the spot! (The menu appears to have expanded and is now more expensive than some older reviews- possibly new ownership? I'm not complaining about the expanded menu though- everything is so tasty!) I highly recommend starting with steamed dumplings and soup dumplings as appetizers- next time I would order double, they were that good! We also tried the spicy Lan Zhou beef noodle soup and the Xi'an spicy noodles, and both were fantastic! The xi'an spicy noodles just slightly took the lead, but I already can't wait to go back to try the rest of the menu. Highly recommend.

Yelp
Food was so delicious. I would definitely drive 30mins just to go eat there again. I have a squad full of picky eaters and even they loved the food there.

Lawrence L.

Yelp
My buddy stole the bowl that was mine by accident so I ended up with the "Spicy Shaved Beef" very good meal. See people coming in and picking up meals NON-STOP go to see to show that people like the place a lot

Yelp
Tried the food here while staying at NCED. Went again it was that good. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
Magic Noodle was recently revamped with a new and expanded menu with wonderful, amazing quality food and service. Truly a gem of Norman. I've been ordering Xi'an noodles from Magic Noodle ever since I made it back to Norman a year ago, and that trend is not stopping any time soon. Even with the extended menu, the Xi'an spicy noodles are my absolute favorite menu item. I also really love the homemade dumplings here, particularly the steamed bao and pot stickers. The handmade dough for the dumpling wrappers is what makes these dumplings so special! My partner ordered the Spicy Beef Soup the last time we ate here, and oh my gosh. I don't think I've ever had such good ma la (numbing) broth in Oklahoma, and it was 100% numbing like no other. The food is amazing, and I'm kind of glad we mostly order pick up because no matter the weeknight we're here picking up our food, this place is always packed! I also really appreciate the service here when I do dine in. They offer you peanuts to munch on when you're seated, and you order by scanning the QR code which is pretty neat! The family who owns this restaurant is so friendly and kind. I'm so happy to have Magic Noodle here - it's super authentic Chinese food I haven't had since I studied in China in college, and it's so worth a try and the drive to Norman!

Yelp
Hand pulled noodles are great, beef roll also very good but a tad too sweet on the sauce. Kids enjoyed the xiao lung bao. Will be a returned customer when close by.
google avatar

Reed E.

Yelp
Great food with good service. The prices are okay but could stand to go down a tiny bit. They are hand pulled noodles so at the end of the day it is very hard work, will definitely be back.
google avatar

Chris H.

Yelp
What a hidden find! We came here after a work conference and were pleasantly surprised to find such an authentic spot all the way out here. They make all their noodles by hand, with diners able to clearly see the chefs at work from start to finish. I was torn between the traditional Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup and the hot oil sheared noodles and ultimately ended up with the sheared noodles. After properly mixing, the dish was ready to be enjoyed. The hand made noodles had just the right amount of bounce to them and soaked up all that delicious sauce. Just a fair word of warning! Watch out for hot oil splatters! Or you will lose a shirt (as one of coworkers found out). One of my few complaints here was that I wish there was more meat in the sheared noodles - other than that, everything else (including the apps) were spot on. They had mentioned a new location will be opening in OKC proper so I eagerly await that so I can try the Lanzhou Beef Noodle Soup. Thanks again for such a delicious, authentic meal!
google avatar

Meryl N.

Yelp
Yum!!! I love good hand pulled noodles with a savory but light broth and guess what magic noodle has it! So I got some noodles with beef in a savory but light broth. The beef was mostly soft with some chewy pieces. Lots if beef and I love having a little texture variety. My partner got the veggie noodle with egg and that was bright and delicious. Truly enjoyed the meal. I got to try his and I enjoyed the broth and egg. Noodles are thin and chewy! The price was reasonable. Service on point. We were checked on but not harassed which is perfect. Food tasty. Defiantly worth driving out of our way to try!
google avatar

Danika F.

Yelp
Best soup dumplings ever!!! I love that you can sit anywhere and watch them literally hand pull your noodles for your soup. The staff is so friendly and kind. It was my first time there and the owner made sure I felt welcomed and not a burden. Recommend the soup dumplings and beef noodle soup.
google avatar

Morgan U.

Yelp
Very good! The noodles were outstanding. Really all of it was. We had the spicy beef noodles, pan fried udon with chicken and soup dumplings. Will definitely be back.

Yelp
This is a pretty cool and very popular place. Food is very good, the ramen bowls are awesome! Already know what I'm trying next visit! So many different choices to pick from!

Yelp
Great noodles and we loved watching them pull them! Everything we had was good and the service was excellent. It's not a huge space so go early if you can!
google avatar

Yang C.

Yelp
The only hand pulled noodle restaurant in Oklahoma. We loved the Lanzhou beef noodles, steamed beef dumplings, soup dumplings, salt roasted peanuts and pickled seaweed salad. Everything was so delicious and authentic. Feels like we are back in a local noodle restaurant in northern China. The Japanese ramen and spicy hotpot was great too. You are missing out if you have not been there yet. https://www.ordermagicnoodle.com

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Fresh, tasty, good bowl of soup when you need soup on a cold day.

Yelp
This place is a gem! Everything was so good! The noodles were chewy and soft. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I love this place!! My husband is addicted to their hot pot and I love the spicy beef noodle soup. Shrimp dumplings are the best I've had in the state. We usually order delivery, but the one time I ate in restaurant, the service was great and you could watch them making the noodles by hand right in front of you.
google avatar

Yelp
Um, anyways. I don't even know if my meat was cooked and I've been throwing up the past hour.

Yelp
This is a cute and tidy restaurant. Server and hostess was so helpful and attentive. Fresh made noodles on the spot. Kids approved and I love the sesame ball
