Magilla's Grill and Lounge

The food was delicious. I have the honey barbecue wings. Wonderful flavor. The wings were a little small though, I gotta go back to see if that's the norm but definitely has flavor and cooked perfectly. The fries were perfectly seasoned and cooked. This place will probably become a regular for me and my wife.

The food was delicious and made to order. I ordered the crawfish bites and crab cake. The crab cake was cooked to perfection! Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The crawfish bites were my favorite and will be my go to order. They both came with a creamy dipping sauce. 10/10 Also everyone was friendly, the place was clean, and nicely decorated. I will definitely be back!

1st time visiting, found by searching black owned restaurant in Chalmette, LA was very pleased with atmosphere and service. The food was outstanding, all made to order and lemonade was freshly made and delicious.

THE FOOD IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. I LOVE ITTT THE FOOD COMES PRETTY QUICK AND THE ATMOSPHERE IS A BEAUTIFUL AND COZY VIBE. With a hint of club added to ittttt! My new favorite meal here is the fried shrimp loaded potatoes!! I've eaten here before and never added a review! So I'll add my old picture!!

Magilla's Grill & Lounge is a newly open restaurant and lounge locate in Chalmette, LA. Magilla's has great food. The menu is increasing everyday. If you haven't check us out please do I can promise you will not be disappointed. The people is great people. The lounge area in magilla's is very relaxing and smooth. No smoking atmosphere, but we do offer hookah. We offer catering as well. Come check us out I CAN PROMISE YOU WILL BE GLAD YOU CAME. COME OUT AND EXPERIENCE SOMETHING DIFFERENT IN DA PARISH!!!

For it to be my first time trying this restaurant it was delicious I got the fish and shrimp platter with the crawfish bites. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. I would definitely be back.

My parents love the smothered okra from Magilla's. They only serve it on Friday's and it is so popular that they usually sell out (so you have to order it early). I do not eat okra, but I do enjoy their fried fish as it is always crunchy. Potato a salad and Mac and cheese are pretty good too. For my sweet lovers you have to taste the sweet potato casserole, you won't be disappointed. They have different specials every day of the week ranging from steaks, to lasagna, stuffed bell peppers, and much more. Pictured below were two plates we ordered. I wasn't a big fan of the ribs but everything else was good. They also have seating inside if you want to eat there. Unsure exactly what time they open, but they are usually pretty consistent with posting their hours and specials of the day on Facebook.

Nice place! Arrived right at opening time, put my order in. They were willing to do my substitution request. Got to talk with the owner while I waited for my food. And the food was good: meaty red beans, moist cornbread, etc. I'd go back again.

EXCELLENT food. The fried shrimp was seasoned well as was my smothered okra. The sweet potato's and everything else was full of flavor. I will be a repeat customer. I don't do shoutouts unless it is excellent and baybayyyyy this was excellent!!!!
