Really enjoyed the banana bread pudding here at Magnolia Bakery. The cake is moist and rich. The pudding itself is a mix of banana chunks along with banana whipped pudding and whipped cream. The entire experience is quite decadent, while also somehow serving as a light dessert as well. It's not overly sweet either, which I appreciate. The servers/bakers were all nice and had free samples of seasonal items for consumption as well. Overall, would come here again to not only get the banana pudding, but also to try other items as well.

If you are looking for something sweet and something different, this is the place to check out! Good variety of pastries for your sweet tooth. The lemon bar is melt in your mouth good and the Macroons are okay, had better. But will come back to try out the cheese cakes.

Their banana pudding is the best I have ever had. I also tried their German Chocolate cheesecake. It was a very dense and heavy cheesecake with a thick soggy bottom. It didnt really taste like anything but one giant lump of sweet cheese. The delicate flavors of grahamcracker crust and chocolate were lost. Mediocre at best.

I love banana pudding. I am often disappointed with commercial offerings. I was very skeptical of this tiny tub, that was nearly $5 (4.6-something as of writing this). Could that really pack a dessert that I would love and feel justified in the expense? For me the answer was yes. Definitely yes. The banana pudding was thick and luscious and full of banana goodness. I am tempted as I write this to go acquire another, larger tub and eat it for lunch. If the rest of their baked goods are half as delicious they will be well worth it too!

Went there the first time because I heard about the banana pudding . First visit did not disappoint the banana pudding was amazing with a great amount of cookie to pudding to banana ratio . Second time was the total opposite , the bananas were bad and there were barely any cookies in the pudding but just shrugged it off as maybe a bad batch. Went a third time and it was exactly the same , and it was very disappointing to the point that I didn’t finish it . The one thing I value when going to a place is consistency with products , and unfortunately I don’t feel like gambling and giving this place another try and waste my money.

I have been dying to try Magnolia Bakery and they did not disappoint. I love their adorable shop at Union Station it feels like you are entering into a special happy place. I had the vanilla cake and red velvet cake slice. They were both scrumptious, moist, flavor packed without being overly sweet and the texture was homemade perfection!

Went this morning for the first time, the shop is beautiful, the staffs very friendly and so far everything is delicious. Tried the Poppyseed Lemon Muffin, it had great flavor & density. The banana puggings very good, not my grandmothers but still very tasty and the carrot cake is to die for... that cream cheese frosting really sets it off. Highly recommend that you try them for yourselves!

I had a cupcake from Magnolia's in DC (Union station) for the first time today. The cupcake was pretty enough however, the cake was crumbly almost like cornbread. Not very tasty and the frosting heard a bitter aftertaste. Don't think I'll do this again. Should've read the reviews!
