This place is a must-visit in Pasadena. The service is always awesome, and on our most recent visit, our server made the experience even better. They were so friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about the menu, offering great recommendations and making us feel really taken care of without ever feeling rushed. The food is fantastic, with a creative menu that has something for everyone. Everything we tried was fresh, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The cocktails and wine list are impressive, and even their coffee drinks are top-notch. Whether you are going for brunch, lunch, or dinner, this spot never disappoints. I have been here a few times now, and every visit has been consistently great. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a place that delivers across the board.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant many years ago, returning several times during its early days. I once knew the original owner, and from the very beginning, it stood out—not only for its exceptional food but also for its consistently warm and attentive service. Over the years, the space has beautifully evolved, with thoughtfully designed expansions that elevate the overall experience. This past weekend, I revisited the restaurant after quite some time, meeting up with friends for a long-overdue gathering. The service was impeccable, the food just as delightful as I remembered, and the entire evening was made all the more enjoyable by the ambiance and company.

When we walked in, we were greeted by a very friendly host. So, I initially thought that the dining experience would be pleasant. But contrary to my expectation, the service wasn’t all that great. Getting a simple sauce took some time. The lady who brought out our food just ignored our request. So, I asked our server who asked the host to bring it out. This was frustrating! In addition, the burgers that we ordered were not cooked as we had requested but were prepared well-done. So, the patties were a bit dry. Also, I couldn’t believe the burgers didn’t come with anything else—no pickles or greens. So disappointing! The only thing we really enjoyed were our cocktails.

Google
Their house burger was nice and juicy. Fries were also delicious. Their house sauce that come with the fries can stay or leave. Overall the experience satisfied our hunger. Staff was super helpful and attentive. Will definitely be back

Cute spot for after work drinks or weekend spot. The drinks are always great. The menu is small but mighty. Happy hour is a must if you can make it.

Google
The burger needs a pickle or more acidity. Its such a heavy dish. And the albacore crudo tasted mushy. Not the best dishes but Im willing to order something else next time. Vibe and service is amazing though.

Such a delightful gem on Lake Ave. This was a favorite date night years ago when it first opened, and we had the pleasure of revisiting after seven years and it was just as lovely as we remembered. The food was outstanding, and the service so friendly. The cozy spots throughout the "house" make for a memorable eating experience. The only feedback I would give would be to refresh some of the pillows in the back lounge area - a few were looking a little dirty and worn. But this was a fabulous experience, and our server made us feel so welcomed.

Loved the look of this place. Very cozy. The chicken Sando was good with a slight spicy kick. The fries were so good too.

Yelp
Magnolia House is my go to for drinks and small plates. I always order the sangria and fries during happy hour. Happy hour pricing is great! The indoor decor might just be my second favorite part of this place. The lounge part toward the back of the place is so cozy (especially at night). All of the employees are friendly and happy to provide recommendations! I always bring friends and family here. Highly recommend if you want a spot with good drinks and a place to chat.

Yelp
They have wonderful small plates that make it easy to try several dishes. We sat with a party of seven people and they were able to accommodate our group easily. The atmosphere is cozy and dark: perfect for a date night. Service was attentive and the dishes came from the kitchen pretty quickly. The only gripe is that they never knew who ordered what, they came to the table and asked "who ordered this..." well no big deal actually, we sorted it out. It was nice to have a manager stop by a few times to check on things. It shows they care about their customers. Parking is hard to find next to the restaurant so we parked over behind the Ross store.

Yelp
Walking in, the experience felt awkward. I stood at the hostess stand waiting for assistance, but no one was there. Several servers walked past, looked me right in the face, and said nothing. Eventually, two of them stopped to seat me, but the lack of a greeting made the start feel unwelcoming. Once seated, the service was friendly but not very attentive. It took a while for someone to take our food order after initial drink orders, and servers didn't check in often, so you'll likely need to flag them down for any needs. That said, the chicken sandwich was amazing--perfectly crispy with flavorful sauce and pickles. Drinks were great, and the ambiance was enjoyable. I'm sure the servers are doing their best, but the system of service could use improvement.

Yelp
This is such a cute place to dine. We wanted to get out of the house, so I booked a reservation here. The staff was friendly, patient, and helpful. We were seated on the sidewalk/patio. The hostess moved the umbrellas so we were tucked away from the sun. Though I was annoyed that the burger and fries had to be ordered separately, both were very good. In fact, that house burger was amazing! We parked on the street though I believe there was a garage across the street.

Yelp
This place is really cute with indoor and outdoor seating. The food took a while to come out and when it did, my friend found an eggshell with her food - unfortunately. The Shakshuka was bomb! The tomato stew was yummy and just the right amount of creamy. It paired really well with the sourdough bread. I wish they served it with more bread though as I ran out before finishing the rest of the stew.

Yelp
One of my favorite places in Pasadena for drinks and small plates. I'm vegetarian and I thought there were plenty of options. I especially loved the zucchini fritters. Happy hours are really good too!

Yelp
Been coming here every so often over the years and their menu always seems to change a little here and there but the quality always remain consistent! Highly recommend making a reservation especially after 5pm or during the weekend. They have a patio in the front that is nice but there's not a lot of seating inside. Their servers here are usually all very attentive and will check on you once in a while. I love that they're never annoyed that my friends and I end up getting caught up in conversation before ordering. They give us new plates for dessert and our water is never empty. Kudos! If the Mac and cheese balls are on the menu, order it! If not, our usual go to includes the zucchini and feta fritters, Belgium fries and meat balls. We ordered the pan con tomate this go around and it was really good - the bread was crispy but still chewy on the inside and the tomatoes were just the perfect amount of juicy! I always get the marigolds at magnolia cocktail, it's delish! For dessert we ordered the chocolate bread pudding and the loukoumades to share. Both come with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and was a nice contrast to compare to one another. One was nutty and sweet from the honey and the other was rich and chocolatey. If you're looking for a spot to catch up with a few friends and enjoy good food, magnolia house is a great place to consider!

Yelp
For a protein-packed brunch option, go for the crab cakes benedict. It includes two generous portions of crab cake, two poached eggs, arugula and Hollandaise on an English Muffin. It's served with a side of breakfast potatoes and fresh fruit. The crab cake was well-seasoned and flavorful and the breakfast potatoes were addictingly crispy. I only wish I could have had more. The open air space, the cozy seating, and the streetside view made for a perfect spot to catch up with a girlfriend. The waitstaff was very attentive. If I'd come with a larger group, I would have wanted to try more items. Great reliable spot for a brunch!

Yelp
Great spot for a delicious, affordable dinner! The menu is simple but has a variety of great options to choose from. I came here one night after shopping and tried the burger. The burger was simple, but so juicy and delicious. The truffle fries are a must! The fries are thick cut and crispy on the outside while soft in the inside. It comes with an aioli dipping sauce that compliments the truffle taste. They're known for their burgers. The night I went, they had a deal: Burger, fries, and a whiskey cocktail for $20. The service was quick and the food came out relatively quick. The seating is kind of close to each other, so don't be nosy listening to other people's conversations, haha jk. There is plenty of parking around the restaurant.

Yelp
Came here on a Sunday afternoon, shortly after the restaurant opened. Cute little spot with outdoor seating that faces a main street. Ordered a few appetizers to share. The wings were my favorite. Service was polite and prompt. I would definitely come back here to try some dinner options or for the brunch menu.

Yelp
I booked the private lounge for my best friend's engagement party and all of the staff at Magnolia House were AMAZING! Everyone was super accommodating to our large group! Drinks and food were fabulous and I absolutely recommend this restaurant for any type of occasion. 10000/10!

Yelp
Obsessed with this spot for a weekend brunch! Probably one of my top 3 brunch spots in Pasadena actually. The vibes here are great and the food is top tier. There's hardly a wait too which is crucial when you're hungry.

Yelp
First time here! Made reservations and were sat down as soon as we got there. The service and ambiance were great! Food 10/10 for me!!

Yelp
Magnolia House is an American brunch spot in Pasadena with indoor seating and an outdoor patio what i ordered - shakshuka: 7/10 || i liked the shakshuka but also felt it wasn't anything special and the eggs were overcooked for my taste. the bread they paired was really good though and toasted perfectly. the dish itself perhaps couldve used a bit more seasoning - your favorite iced latte: 9/10 || this cocktail had espresso, rum, whiskey, cinnamon and oat milk. it was surprisingly very smooth and i quite enjoyed this! overall i felt that Magnolia wasn't anything special so I'm not sure if it'd be on my list to return

Yelp
Came here for brunch for a Sunday afternoon and it was packed. We got seated in their lounge sofa that faced the tv and fireplace, which was a cozy setting if you're having drinks, but it was a bit hard to eat since you're on the couch hovering over the table. The environment felt like I was at a friend's living room. I ordered their shakshuka. It was good and came with sourdough bread. The bread was really good, the slice was thick and spongy. It was a nice pair to soak up the sauce from my dish. The service was a bit slow as we waited to get attended to. Overall it was an average brunch visit.
google avatar

Lanze A.

Yelp
This was all types of alright. Nothing special I think, worth a try. Very cutesy ambiance, fair service, but the food is just meh in my opinion. I understand the price is higher because of the vibe and location but I didn't think anything would particularly blow my mind. Crab cakes need more moisture somehow. Particularly wasn't a fan of their "house fries". They're basically diced potatoes and I don't quite see the appeal of doing that over generic fry cuts. Shakshuka had good flavor, it is a dish that's hard to mess up.

Yelp
Very quaint Actually a hidden gem with unique interior. On a busy day there will be a wait as this is not a very large place. Not to say it does not have room. They have a good happy hour menu and do put a spin on some signature cocktails. Good spot for a quick bite and some happy hour fun.

Yelp
I had high hopes for this beautifully decorated restaurant with multiple seating rooms/spaces, each unique in decor and vibe. However, the food was underwhelming. We ordered the mushroom omlette and burger with beer. Our beer was served warm which was dissapointing on a hot summer day. The mushroom omplette was tuff, dry and with a few mushrooms on top, which really was very basic. The side of potatoes was unedible; the rancid oil burned my tongue; it almost looked as if leftover fries from the night before were chopped, baked and served. It was hard to chew and swallow. I had ordered the burger to be served medium; however, it was cooked well done which made it tuff. Topped with carmalized onions and cheese, my stomack was trying to digest it all day.

Yelp
My friends and I wanted to find a brunch place that took reservations so I found Magnolia House. It was easy making a reservation online and there were a bunch of times available for Sunday afternoon. There is indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating is on the sidewalk/street so we opted for indoors. We came earlier than the reservation but they were able to put us at their lounging area with couch seating. It was an interesting choice but it beat waiting for a table to open up. It felt like we were sitting in someone's living room watching TV. Huevos rancheros (3/5): 2 sunny side up eggs on top of a corn tortilla with cheese and refried beans with a side of avocado, potatoes, and fruit in a cup. Everything was too salty.. I was surprised. I thought it might've been the cheese. The avocado paired well with everything at least. It helped balance out the saltiness. Overall it was an okay try. I probably wouldn't come back. Service was good though. The waiter was attentive. They do get busy during lunch time so be sure to make a reservation if you want to try.

Yelp
The service is excellent (especially whenever Eric or Taylor are there), as is the ambience and brunch vibes. A great place for a date or girly brunch. I'd say the food is a bit pricey for basics like eggs and avocado toast, but the shakshuka is the star of the brunch. The home fries that come with the basic brunch platter are a bit stale and unimpressive and may benefit from a new recipe. The restrooms are very clean, with a gender-neutral room. Parking is street or in the paid lot behind the shops a block north, although it is free on Sundays.

Yelp
I've been here before for drinks, but I never dined here for dinner. First things first the atmosphere is friendly. All staff provided a friendly environment. As soon as I checked in and the other 1/2 of our party arrived we were seated immediately. Our server was named Paul who was attentive and explained to us that their portions are all tapas size so everything is shareable. It's definitely hard to come across a restaurant that delivers exceptional service with delicious food and delicious drinks. Magnolia House did not disappoint. We all enjoyed our food and drinks with zero complaints. I recommend for a date night, brunch date, lunch or even drinks with a group of friends. 10/10 Food we ordered: Deviled Eggs Wagyu Coulotte Steak Blue Crab Cakes Crispy Pork Belly House Burger Brussels Sprouts Albacore Tuna Crudo Belgian Fries Chocolate Bread Pudding Drinks: Camomile Tea La Marguerite Marigolds at Magnolia House Old Fashion El Sereno 8 Casamigos Blanco Shots (chilled)

Yelp
The ambiance of this place is very upscale. Many plants. Very dark inside. The lighting inside reminds me of a hollister back in the early 2000s when it was at its height of popularity; dark and you can barely see in front of you unless you're seated outside or near a window. When I asked the host where the bathroom was, they had to physically walk me there, no verbal directions. And honestly, I see why. Overall the food was mid. All their plates are easily sharable which I honestly liked! I ordered the roasted carrots and pan con tomate (which is basically a large bruschetta). Both were very good! But it just felt like all the food had all these extra flavors on the plate that just weren't needed. My baby carrots were roasted perfectly, but came on top of a heavy layer of greek yogurt and honey (?). I did really enjoy the seasoning on top of the carrots but with all the carrots sitting in yogurt, I felt like they could have been so much better on theit own. My pan con tomate was large but tasty overall. Messy to eat is my only criticism. We did not try any of the cocktails while we were there. Something to try for next time.

Yelp
Wow I'm blown away. Magnolia House is quite nice! I came here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We had reservations so we were seated immediately but they weren't very full at 6:30PM. Brussel sprouts - Great appetizer/veggie! The brussels sprouts here are roasted, paired with blobs of goat cheese, and pesto, and it's just very salty, fatty, and yummy! Smoky Eggplant - this was my least favorite dish of the night. It tasted too salty/sour. It tasted like steamed eggplant with a weird BBQ sauce. It's served with warm pita but the pita gets cold quickly. Mushroom toast - this was my favorite of the night. The toast is on a thick sourdough bread. They put a ton of goat cheese and mushrooms and top it off with more parmesan cheese. I love the earthiness of mushrooms and paired with the sourdough, it was delicious! Pork Belly - this was super reminiscent of Taiwanese pork belly. The pork belly is stewed or steamed and has a savory soy taste. It's paired with pickled onions and olives. I thought the pork belly was just too fatty for my liking. Free street parking on Sundays. All other days are metered or there is a parking garage right across the street. Service is ok - they weren't super attentive since we were sitting in a corner so we had to wait a lot to get our waters refilled, ordering, and getting the check.

Yelp
Drinks were amazing I had key lime martini and my husband had an old fashion. They have perfected the old fashion (according to my husband). Our server Heather was very nice and knowledgeable of the drinks and food. Her martini & dessert recommendation didn't disappoint at all! Ambiance was perfect for our date night. Very relaxing and will definitely be going back soon! We were starving and enjoyed our dinner rather than take pictures. Highly recommend: - Belgian fries - House Burger - Loukoumades

Yelp
A really cute little spot with a decent happy hour. We didn't have a reservation for happy hour and went on the earlier end of it and they made it seem like it was going to be difficult to seat us. I would recommend making a reservation. The food was good, there were apps on the happy hour menu too. The chicken wings were really spicy but really good. Service was great with our drinks and food.

Julia L.

Yelp
Small but homie ambiance. There is usually a wait, especially for the deck. Service can be a bit slow, and you might have to wave someone down here and there, but they're all very kind. The food is delicious.

Yelp
First time here for brunch after enjoying a morning walking around the Huntington Gardens. Reservations recommended, but our party of three walked in with no wait, asked if we could leave before a large party of 12 to arrive at noon? No problem. Neat-looking bar with all the garnishes and bartending accoutrement displayed in an aesthetic way. We ordered coffee rather than a cocktail but maybe next time. Multilevel indoor seating as well as patio seating, cool old-timey framed photos along the walls. We ordered the House Burger (5/5-peppery, savory) and The Basics (5/5-thickcut sourdough, crispy bacon, flavorful house potatoes, sunny side up eggs). All the staff were attentive, friendly, and provided excellent service.

Yelp
Service and vibes are great. Great selection of wines and food is amazing. If you need a late night place to check out, have them on your next place to visit!

Yelp
Always a good spot to go. Great service always. Been here a few times over the years. Glad they didn't loose their touch post COVID. Great place for co-workers, friends to reconnect, date night, good happy hour. I solo dine often here. Food is consistent and good. Love the cocktails.

Yelp
Magnolia House is a cozy trendy spot for you to meet friends, have brunch, or go to happy hour. I went to happy hour with a friend of mine. We ordered three different hors d'oeuvres and shared it like a meal. It was great. Prices are good. The brussels sprouts, shrimp salad, and zucchini fritters are amazing. They also have on the happy hour menu,a drink of the moment. The night I went it was a spicy margarita, and it was great. They have their own infused tequila. They also have half hour wine on certain nights. It seems the high top tables to be reserved for dinner. You can sit in the main room, but you need to be prepared that the space is small and the tables are small as well. The service is friendly and attentive. There is no designated parking. It is street metered parking or paid parking lot on the side or across the street. Great unique touches, like sayings on the napkin, give Magnolia House a cool trendy vibe. Dress accordingly.

Yelp
An amazing place to either grab dinner or celebrate a special occasion. Came here on a Saturday night and had a great time celebrating a friend and mines birthday. Naturally we started dinner with a round of the Marguerite, which is hibiscus infused tequila margaritas and OMG this is the drink to order! Who knew hibiscus infused tequila was a thing, but I am on board. It really took this margarita to a whole other level. I had the house burger and fries, which was made well and fresh. Fries were perfect and crispy. I really enjoyed this meal. Our server was on point and fast. Service here overall was excellent. Every staff interaction was incredible and friendly. We ended our birthday celebration with desserts. We had the chocolate bread pudding the loukoumades (Greek donuts). Both desserts were delicious, but my favorite was definitely the chocolate bread pudding. Overall, it was a wonderful time at the Magnolia House!

Yelp
This review is based off an experience on a weekend night for dinner. First impression, Hostess not very friendly, comes off with an attitude and does not want to help you. You are inconveniencing her. Possibly, because she has to work on a Friday night? Not sure. That was a little discouraging. Moving on.. Drinks and bar/bartenders, super chill, friendly, and interested in how the customer feels and if we truly enjoyed our drinks. Drinks that were made 9/10! The Margareta that is Pink is really good. Would recommend ordering! Food, fritters and meatballs were OK. Also, the anti-pasta type salad was ordered I would give it a 5/10. The temperature could have been hotter for the fritters/meatballs. I actually got sick the next day and following day after eating here. I truly believe the meatballs were undercooked. Waitress serving us really doesn't belong being a server, or should get some help in customer service/hospitality, she took forever and never came to check in on us. The only reason I gave a 3/5 stars is the ambiance, and the mood and vibe this place has. It's a good spot for a few drinks. As for food I would go somewhere else. I would still return again for drinks only.

Yelp
Perfect house burger and Negroni per usual. Im genuinely obsessed with their burger. Literally the bestest. Will come back for it again and again and again. The firs are fire too. The Negroni was super strong which was amazing for me.

Yelp
Magnolia house is my local go-to spot for happy hour and brunch. I really like the indoor-outdoor feel especially on a nice sunny day in Pasadena. They have a decently sized patio with some shade/heater and great cocktails. There are many times where I've just hung out here for a few hours day drinking and catching up with friends. The food is solid, drinks are delicious, service is helpful but not too overbearing and the ambiance is nice.

Yelp
Delicious and wonderfully presented food, great service, beautiful ambiance. I love the patio seating, but don't swing your arms around because the cars zoom by pretty fast Looking forward to our next visit!

Yelp
Came with a friend. Food order: Brussels, crab cakes, fries, wings, tuna, chicken sandwich, and the fritters. Drinks: Well worth it and a beer. The waitress forgot the fritters and that's okay but she kept taking away the menu and rushing off. I told her I'm going to order more (I'm pregnant & like variety). Our table was small and that's fine but the food wasn't fitting on the table she said she would pull up the table next to us and handed my friend the plate and left.. She started serving another table all together my friend just sat with a plate in hand. Okay? The food was okay. The chicken sandwich was terrible. Decent flavor but literally you can't bite through the chicken like at all... meaning it was old or refried too many times. The bun kept sliding off mushed together very soggy. The blue crab cake was trash, and I love blue crab. Didn't try the wings. Ahi wasn't bad. Brussels pretty damn good. Fries were okay. Eh honestly eh. Well worth it drink is non alcoholic very good. I wanted a desert but she brought out the check before I can ask for it again. 2.5 star total review but I can only give solid numbers and I left hungry and annoyed.

Yelp
Phenomenal house burger, fantastic Brussel sprouts and the shrimp salad was delicious. The server was great as well as the shrimp salad I will definitely be back

Yelp
Nice ambience, almost feels like a cafe! Very cute inside. There's parking nearby, but we went on a weekday so unsure how busy it is during the weekend. We made a reservation the day before on their website. It's easy and straightforward! Service was great. Food took a while to come out but the food was tasty and their Bloody Mary was very very tasty. Would love to come again!

Yelp
This is a perfect restaurant for a date night. The lights are low, the music is light and the drinks are good. Strong*, but good. I came to meet my friend who was already seated at our reserved table. The waitress came over to ask if I was ready to order. I asked for a few minutes to scan the menu. She didn't respond and just walked away. Unfortunately, the service did not get better as the night went on. If it weren't for the quality of the food and drinks, I would give a 3 star based on the service. It is also pretty tight trying to walk through the restaurant. I found myself bumping into peoples chairs when trying to squeeze by for the restroom. The menu had a lot of good options for food that I would be excited to try for next time.

Yelp
We sat on the deck for cocktails & appetizers. The cocktails were great, and we re-ordered 2-3 times. They had a great selection of mocktails for the non-drinkers in our group too. The food was tasty, and they didn't mind making a mini-meal for my dog either (at my friend's request who always has to feed my dog to remain my dog's favorite person ever, haha). The waiter was delightful. We will be back!

Yelp
I'm not sure if I jinxed it last time... Came back today again for brunch, made a reservation for a party of 7 earlier in the week (specifically requested indoors) but was told they are unable to accommodate us and only had seating outdoors when we arrived. We really wanted to have a conversation but the speaker was loud in our corner (paired with the cars on the street it was realy difficult to hear) asked for the volume to be lowered a few times but don't think that request was satisfied. A number of us ordered hot coffee, but the cream that accompanied had gone bad, thankfully they were able to bring out fresh coffees for everyone. Still think the restaurant has a responsibility to do due diligence on the quality beforehand though. In addition, the server came to refill our cups a few times, but kept spilling on the table and failed to clean it up every time. In all fairness, I have to say that the food is delicious every time 've been here, but man, the service really knocks a few stars off the restaurant.

Yelp
Very cute place that offers unique cocktail drinks and tapas-style plates. I love the open layout and beautiful outdoor bar. Outdoor and Indoor seating is available. We came around 4 pm on a Saturday. We were seated right away. I usually always make reservations to avoid long wait times. I ordered the meatballs, which were really tasty 8/10. My boyfriend ordered the Duke Burger 9/10. We shared the Brussels sprouts, which I rate 7/10. I had the house sangria-which was strong. The overall vibe of Magnolia is laidback. They have a few lounging areas for large parties. We talked about coming back. Service was great, 10/10.

Yelp
We have been having Sunday brunch here for the last few months. I would recommend making a reservation (Open Table is easy) otherwise you may be waiting a while. We like sitting in the sunroom (?) which is the front, inside area overlooking outside, airy and bright without direct sun. We have tried most of the brunch items, the crab cakes Benedict is my favorite, avocado toast is delicious and I would not recommend the forager omelette, that was a sad plate. We've had several of their drinks, all have been great. Service has always been friendly and fast, despite it usually being very busy. Not sure if there's a designated parking lot for this place but we park behind Ross and walk over (there are now electric car chargers there). If you're in the area, stop by, you will not be disappointed

Yelp
Lovely location for a weekend brunch. My friends and I decided last minute to go to brunch on Sunday, and were seated at a great table by the open window. It was like being inside and outside. Our waiter was very friendly and fun, and the menu had a little bit of everything. My crab cakes Benedict were delicious. I asked for, and received, the Hollandaise on the side. The crab cakes were flavorful and seemed to be all or mostly crab. (I had asked if there were bell peppers in them, since I don't like that flavor and was assured there were not.) My only complaint was that the eggs were over cooked, but it didn't spoil the meal. It also came with home fries (which were really crispy, short French fries) and fresh fruit. One friend had the avocado toast, which was just beautiful to look at and apparently very good to eat. The other had the hamburger and she said it was delicious! It certainly looked good, and she ended up taking half of it home. Definitely a place to remember for future meals.

Yelp
Came here with a friend to have early dinner, but was unaware that between 2:30-4:30 it was drinks only with only fries to snack on. It didn't bother us too much, since we got there around 3:45 so we just chilled for a bit. The inside is cute and gives coffee shop vibes, but alcohol. I ordered the house burger, and there was a huge blob of cheese on it. I'm all for extra cheese, but it really overpowered the taste of the overall meal. My friend got the fried chicken sando and said it tasted a bit like curry. Before we got our food, one of the waitress was holding multiple plates and food and one of the sauce cups accidentally fell and landed on my friend, ruining her shirt. The waitress that was serving immediately noticed and helped my friend clean up. However, when she notified the other waitress that was holding the plates, she never came back to apologize to my friend. In fact, my friend saw her laugh when our waitress explained to her what had happened. We asked to sit at a different table where she couldn't have it happen again. Although it was an accident, a quick apology could have gone a long way. Apart from that situation, the food and drinks weren't anything to write home about and most likely will not be back.

Yelp
Magnolia House-- what an adorable place, located in Pasadena right across from the new Erewhon grocery store. The vibe here is adorable. If I lived in the area I feel like this would be one of my favorite spots. My gf and I sat inside which was awesome because it was really indoor/ outdoor. The food was bomb. We got the breakfast sandwich with potatoes and then split a burger. We also both got bloody Mary's. The burger was delicious and the breakfast sando had so much flavor. Would for sure hit this place up if you are in Pasadena!
