The 10 Best Filipino Restaurants in Daly City, South San Francisco, and Colma - Eater SF

"Magnolia is a Filipino ice cream brand that has been around for generations, known for their tubs of ice cream that can be found at Filipino supermarkets. But the company’s South San Francisco ice cream shop specializes in what is arguably the Philippines’ most popular dessert: halo-halo, a cold treat made of crushed ice, evaporated milk, ice cream, and a variety of tropical toppings. Locals love this place for its smooth and creamy version of the dessert and its selection of authentic Filipino ice cream flavors like ube, avocado, guava, buko pandan, mango, lychee, and more. Milkshakes and Hawaiian shaved ice are also on offer." - Elaine Wu

Cold windy foggy night & what do I want?! ICE cream! It was towards the last hour before closing time. The guy (didn't catch his name) was friendly & had the sunniest smile. He was so generous in the scoop! Though I considered the Halo Halo, I decided on the single scoop of the Buko pandan...it was calling my name. Loved the married flavors, textural young coconut meat, viscosity. I'm coming back for more of that creamy concoction & I'll be sure to take photos.

Good ice cream but can you please change to better spoons because your cheap spoons are downgrading your yummy ice cream. If you notice Baskin-Robbins or Yogurtland their spoons are beautiful! Just a thought!

Delicious ice cream and Halo Halo. They don't skimp on the milk/cream and they have some additional puree or syrup at the bottom that others don't.

Best Halo halo! Try the mahalo halo. Comes with a scoop of ube ice cream on top. Will definitely go back and get this again.

Inside a supermarket with a mini food court. Was ok, just disappointed, wasn't what we expected.

Interesting twist on gelato, a la Filipino!
