"Magnolia’s is the most popular buffet on the beach that doesn’t do Calabash-style anything. The lunch buffet is beloved for pans of candied yams, collard greens, and piles of fried chicken glistening from behind the sneeze guard, but for the early birds, the breakfast buffet is like Shoney’s (in its heyday), but on steroids. For under 10 bucks, customers can get their fill of bacon, fluffy eggs, and buttermilk biscuits to hide with sausage gravy." - D.R.E. James

Google
Such a great restaurant. Right across the street from the ocean in walking distance from the hotel. The food was great home cooking. Fresh and a great variety of foods. Desserts were out of this world so many to choose from homemade lemon chess pie was to die for. I will definitely be back!

Google
One of the worst buffets I've ever had. The food was cold and seemed to have been sitting in the buffet for a long time. Everything looked pretty old, and it tasted that way, too. Only the salad was fresh and delicious. You can't help yourself; you have to ask for what you want. I've never seen anything like that at a buffet restaurant. There were two of us there, each had one drink, and we had to pay almost $60. 😭 The price was completely unreasonable given the poor quality and the limited selection. Once and never again.

Google
We’ve had many breakfast buffets here and have really enjoyed the home style friendly service , good selection and hot coffee. Did i mention the friendly service?? It can get a little crowded and busy at peak breakfast times. Better to arrive before 8:30. ( they open at 6:30 ) Special mention to the amazing Hedy . Super sweet, terrific memory and runs rings around servers way younger . Fantastic. Also pleasing were Carla and Sandy and busboy Jessie. All hard working regulars. I missed the names of some of, especially the few great servers behind the buffet line. Oh yeah. Fantastic fruits every day and some great grits too. Try the strawberry shortcake if they have any. While we were there in April the strawberries were AMAZING!

Google
Food was excellent. Service was good. Only complaint is the "price." Lunch buffet fir "3" with soft drinks will cost you well over $80.00. Sad that 😢 prices prohibit 🚫 more visits to this establishment.

Google
My family and I visited for the dinner buffet. Everything from the sweet tea to the fried squash to the greens and the roast were delicious!! Make sure to put the peppered vinegar on your greens. Our waitress was so friendly. I recommend Magnolia's for a more than satisfying family meal.

Google
Some of the food items are pretty good. Some of the food, especially the fresh salads and fruits, are not kept fresh. So they are wilted. The chicken, and mac and cheese are pretty good. The rest of the stuff is acceptable. You are looking at $100 for the meal, and tip, for a family of four. I would have hoped $100 would be worth more than just acceptable food

Google
This was a nice, quiet little place. The food was all southern homestyle like you would get at your grandparent's house. While a little more selection would be nice, the price is fair and much cheaper co.pared to other buffets in the area. Everything I ate was hot and tasted very fresh. Kelly was super polite and on top of service all evening! Thank you for the great food and atmosphere!

Google
We stayed at the Carolinian beach resort and had a complimentary breakfast here. The items were fresh, well cooked, and the hosts were very cordial. Would love to come back.

Yelp
We found this place right down the block from our hotel. It's quiet and small and very clean. There is a menu you can order from, but they also have an all-you-can-eat country-cookin' buffet. My hubby got the chicken tenders and I got the buffet: I had greens and Lima beans, Mac and cheese, yams and fried chicken. It was so delicious!! Our service was good-Josh did a great job!! There was a steady stream of folks coming in while we were there. I remarked to Josh about how great the limas were and he said the owner brings them from his farm!! Farm fresh good food!!! We will be back!!!

Sydney W.

Yelp
Little wait to get to buffet area but food was a 10/10. Did not taste like out of the can like some other southern buffets are.

Adrienne E.

Yelp
We got to eat here as part of our hotel stay. It has a great atmosphere and the staff is amazing. However, by the middle of the week we were all tired of eating the same things for breakfast!

Cathy H.

Yelp
When we got to the restaurant it was around 6:00 pm. The parking lot did not have many cars. That should have been my first clue. Food was nothing to write home about. The way the website portrayed the food was very deceiving. The only beef they had was Salisbury steak. The piece I had was burnt on the bottom. The chicken was dry. I didn't eat the fish. I did lick the mash potatoes and gravy. I had my granddaughter and two nephews. The boys were 15 and 20, big eaters. None of us went back for seconds. It was way over priced for the quality and the variety of food offered. I would not recommend this restaurant.

Matthew T.

Yelp
We ate breakfast here through a deal for free passes with our condo accommodation. The servers were mostly very friendly. The food was plentiful and filling. We ate here four straight mornings during Thanksgiving week. We especially loved the biscuits and gravy, bacon and stewed apples. We'll definitely eat here again while in Myrtle Beach.

Shikha C.

Yelp
Food was decent and worth the value with buffet specially for non vegetarians. Staff was very friendly but the layout of the restaurant could be better.

Mike K.

Yelp
Food quality was poor and they overcharged 23.95 for meal and 2.99 for a drink and by the way they have a B rating from Health department! Yikes , never again!

Sharon D.

Yelp
It's still making me smile. I went there last week for some comfort cooking and I was greeted at the door with fresh strawberries!!! They had them on the buffet and they were delicious. I chowed down on pork chops, fried squash, okra, Mac n cheese and strawberry cake. Good food. Good service. Good eats! Thank you for always making my trip special.

Lorren P.

Yelp
My husband and I had a great breakfast here. We loved that it was a buffet and we were able to pick what we wanted. We also loved that there were so many options available! We were able to enjoy what we wanted with a quick turn around. Our server was quick to bring our drinks and keep them filled throughout the meal. The restaurant was clean and nice. I felt like I was eating at grandma's house. We also enjoyed our coupon from our hotel which made our meals even more affordable. :

J J.

Yelp
It is too expensive for a buffet. The food is alright but nothing special for the price. The bill for three of us (adults) was over $85.00 for a standard buffet with 3 iced teas. There are better buffets in the area that are not as pricey. I will not return and I am a local. The service was good.and the staff was friendly. It had a cafeteria atmosphere.

Karen W.

Yelp
Wonderful food and service! Clean and comfortable! We can't wait to visit again next time we're in Myrtle Beach!

Laurie W.

Yelp
My husband and I enjoyed their free buffet. Since we are staying at the Carolinian Resort across the street a free buffet breakfast is included. As far as buffets go this was fine but hey it's free. They do have somewhat of a variety to choose from, but it is not a self serve buffet it's like the school cafeteria lunch counter where the people behind the counter plate it for you. I also wanted to point out our waitress was not really that friendly, the other one was, but ours to all the tables in our area was just kinda blah. Update: Next day waitress was so much better pleasant and smiling attentive!

Starr D.

Yelp
Love love their fried chicken. Super thin and flavorful batter, juicy meat, perfectly cooked. We also had beef stew (not much beef mainly veggies), seasoned rice, greens, strawberries cake...and many more. Great price for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Good selection of items for buffet . Easy parking. Pay out front. Cozy setting. Family friendly. Nothing fancy. A great place to grab a quick bite of comfort foods!

Chuck S.

Yelp
Had lunch , amazing wine, food and service. Wonderful ambiance and staff. A must when in Charleston.

Ebony M.

Yelp
The breakfast was wonderful dinner very so so the food was only warm chicken in gravy was very dry the green had too much sugar but there were a few things that were good like the cubed steak and gravy with mashed potatoes, chicken and dumplings, squash casserole and banana pudding.the price for breakfast about 15$ and dinner about 24$

Jennifer B.

Yelp
Love this place! Stay at Carolinian every year and just walk a block here! You can't beat it!

Leslie R.

Yelp
The Mac and cheese was really good, but everything else i had was ok. Husband had blue cheese dressing that had gone a liitle sour and he thought fried chicken was very greasy. Seems over priced for the average type quality of food.

Ceil G.

Yelp
Food is very good. The only thing that kept it from 5 stars is that the lines are always very long to get to the buffet. Last time I went, it was almost 25 minutes standing in line. Always crowded. Only have gone for lunch. I would never get near this place for holidays. It's a very popular place.

Victor D.

Yelp
Great place. I highly recommend this joint. The prices are affordable and the portions are generous. Last but not least the food is made with love which is something that money can't buy.

Tanya B.

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised by this gem of a restaurant. Service was friendly and attentive. Restaurant was clean. Buffet was darn good. We left there full and happy. Definitely a keeper.

Memphis B.

Yelp
I went a couple months ago and I still dream about the food. The food was so good it made me stop criticizing Fox News

Amanda M.

Yelp
Full service buffet We had tickets to eat here from our hotel. They seated us quickly. The place was very busy. Waiter comes to your table for a drink order and then you stand in line for the buffet. Pleasantly surprised by the number of options. Fresh fruit and yogurt to pancakes and French toast. They had 6 different types of breakfast style meats. Scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy plus donuts. Lots of choices to choose.

Chicago C.

Yelp
I want to add, it WAS a self service buffet before Covid. Now its still all you can eat, but they load your plate(s) for you. A sign of the times. Don't give a bad review because of this. Thats not fair.

Ron P.

Yelp
Not much for buffets but decided to try out magnolias for lunch today. Was very happy that I did. The food was excellent. Fresh and the best part it was pipping hot. Best fried chicken I had in a long time. The green beans & sweet potato soufflé were to die for. Very reasonable at $15 with free ice tea plus all you can eat. Great looking salads & yummy deserts & ice cream. Highly recommended

Judy S.

Yelp
I didn't like having to ask for the food I wasn't sure what everything was and the girl serving didn't speak good English so you had to point you could not reach anything because it was behind glass They gave you the smallest portions I know it was a buffet but it was a hard no for me, My granddaughter dropped her corn on the cob and my son went to get her more they looked at him like her had two heads and he had to ask multiple times for two pieces of corn on the cob Seem like a soup line begging for food they need to go back to regular buffet

Jeff B.

Yelp
We tried Magnolias for what we thought was a "Brunch" on a Saturday. I called the night before to inquire and was told goes from 11am until 2pm . I asked if that includes breakfast and lunch selection. The answer was yes. We arrived at 11:07am to the last of breakfast service. We thought they were running behind but never saw them bring lunch selections out to replace breakfast remnants. We were told to make our final breakfast selections as they were breaking down for lunch items. My wife mentioned looking forward to lunch and we were told 30 minutes or so. I don't know where the confusion occurred but "Brunch" is a combination of breakfast and lunch and I love a great brunch. It works well for us since I'm a big breakfast lover and my wife prefers lunch / dinner. Less than optimum experience to say the least. I can't say we will never go back but definitely won't be for "Brunch". On a positive note the staff was friendly and attentive. BRUNCH needs to be removed from all references to this restaurant. Our advice is if you want breakfast go early and if you want lunch go during the week. The lack of pictures was intentional. No one would have benefited from posting them. I hope next time we give them a try I can post pictures and a better review.

Ernie M.

Yelp
The "buffet" food was bland and is definitely out of a freezer bag. Meat was dry, okra was bland and tasteless, way too much salt. Do not recommend. The pictures and signs at nearby hotels are inaccurate.

Louvenia D.

Yelp
Good food! Only went there once but it was really good. If you want a change from all The seafood and want a variety of soul food, try them.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
Stopped here because it was across the street from where I was staying and I needed lunch. I was working in my room and needed a quick break. Dirty and gross.

Kelly J.

Yelp
man I used to eat here a lot today I went with my husband and daughter the bill was 75.00 wtf couldnt believe the price food definitely wasn't worth the price my last time going there. That made me feel like I was stuck up and forced to pay for food that wasn't even all that Mac and cheese was dry chicken burned not happy

Timothy G.

Yelp
Absolutely horrible. But they do have ample parking and the toothpick was top notch. We ordered off the menu and didn't have the buffet. Service bad. Usually get a kiss when I get a effing like this.

Roger D.

Yelp
Looks good must give it a try tomorrow to see how it is I guess I need to provide eighty five words.

Tasha R.

Yelp
The buffet was decent and the waitress I believe her name was Lisa was very nice and helpful! She did a great job!!! The food was decent the service was on point.

Brian T.

Yelp
This is exactly what we were expecting when you go to a southern style buffet. We stayed across the street at the Anderson Ocean Club and this place is considered their "on site" restaurant. We tried the breakfast buffet and dinner buffet. The staff was very friendly and service was great. There is a good selection of items and most of them are pretty good. It is priced fairly and if you charge it to your room you get 10% off. We will absolutely come back next time we are in the area.

David D.

Yelp
First time. Very good experience. Everything was good. Service was excellent. Go early!

Imani L.

Yelp
Omg the food was absolutely amazing... Magnolia's at 26th owes me nothing. This was hands down the best soul food buffet I've ever been to. I wish I could've eaten more honestly. I didn't want to stop. I was very impressed by everything I had- fresh strawberries from their farm, rice w/ gravy, green beans, Mac n cheese, black eyed peas, corn on the cob, fried chicken, and fried fish. And for desert, I had this apple cinnamon cupcake... it looked like a regular cupcake but when I bit into it I found out it was much more than average. Wow, I will definitely be back!

cassandra M.

Yelp
Bacon in my grits and I don't eat meat so.., a little sad. The waitress was cool about it but my stomach said done... out.

Lora O.

Yelp
Great service and hidden gem that was suggested we try when visiting the Tangler outlet! This will definitely be a tradition for us when we return.

Kelsey L.

Yelp
The woman that the table with you first walk in is SOO RUDE, we didn't even get to order anything because her attitude was sooooooo NEGATIVE, NASTY & POOR. Don't go here, go to the landing shark ‼

Simmy V.

Yelp
Very disappointing to say the least. We ate here because it was close to where we were staying and it was so pretty late. The buffet was $23 and they had about 12 choices. The food has almost no seasoning. The only good part of the meal was the dessert. I got this chocolate éclair with pudding and it was pretty good. The vibe was not great and the person at the front seemed like she was in a rushing and not very welcoming. There were maybe six people in the restaurant when we went and the manager told the host to "just throw them in the corner." Our waiter was super nice and he kept the refills coming. Definitely not worth the money.

Candy K.

Yelp
Sandra was so fun! We went back a second time just so my husband could banter with her again. Food is good, service was fantastic!

Andy N.

Yelp
As far as continental breakfast goes, this was the best I've ever had. Because of my hotel reservation, I was able to get complimentary breakfasts from Magnolia's At 26th. Not only were the staff some of the friendliest people I've ever met, but the food was amazing as well. Everything offered was the perfect. I was always so excited every night to wake up to the wide selection of breakfast items. I totally recommend coming here because they consistently serve amazing, good food.

Blake W.

Yelp
This place has a great buffet. It's served to you. You just go through the line and tell them what you want on your plate. The reason for 4 star. The food was hot and fresh. The place clean and neat. The staff was very friendly. They were out of gravy the 2nd time I went through the line. As soon as fresh gravy was made. One of the line ladies brought me fresh biscuit and gravy. The reason for not 5 stars. The line gets long and they can be slow at serving.

Lisa L.

Yelp
Went for breakfast twice. It is a buffet, but they plate it for you. Good variety. No cereal. Didn't have coffee so don't know if it's good or not. Service is good.

Valerie B.

Yelp
First time... Had a taste for soul food asked the front desk clerk where we could get good home cooked meal. She suggested Magnolias . Arrived about 6:15 parked in the lot next door. Spaces were marked for "Magnolia customers ". We were greeted by both attendants and seated with no wait. Our waiter, Matthew, was great! He greeted us as we were seated. He asked what we wanted to drink we both requested water. He then said we could get in line for the buffet. After observing the long line, I noticed the problem. It's not a self serve buffet. There were 3 servers with 40 ppl in line. The pics online looked like a self serve buffet guess I didn't view all pics. After finally being served, the food looked good. Salads were freshly made. Veggies were seasoned well no additional salt/pepper needed. The collards were sweet. I couldn't eat them but the butter beans/stewed tomatoes/Mac & Cheese delicious. Fried chicken was delicious! Crispy well done. I did not get a desert but the options were apple cobbler and red velvet cake. The dining hall was clean tables stocked with condiments - salt , pepper, pepper sauce. The only hang up I have is they're slow servers considering the volume that comes through on a daily basis. I will visit again but maybe at a different time since this was during dinner.

Patty C.

Yelp
nothing spectacular, fried chicken was good but everything else mediocre and not worth the price. Shrimp creole was terrible.

Jeremy S.

Yelp
Typical buffet style restaurant. However the service was less than subpar. We walked in with baggage since we were departing Myrtle B each shortly after. Allowed us to sit at a table with room to set our bags (thank you hostess). Hedy, our waitress, seemed less than excited to be there. I ordered the buffet which was great. When my gf decided to order off the menu Hedy seemed very annoyed and frustrated (sorry we made you do your job). She brought us our drinks, no refills were offered. My gfs meal was supposed to come with toast (no toast). When we asked for it, the waitress didn't acknowledge the request: however Hedy to bring it with slight attitude. Would come back, but only if Hedy is off for the day.

Cesarin B.

Yelp
Tracy C. Was our our waitress. She was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was Ok. I liked the bacon and fruit. Orange juice was fresh and cold.

Sandra B.

Yelp
we went there after seeing a lot of advertising for good home cooked meal. The menu mainly had chicken fingers, hamburgers and a few steak options but didn't look like the kind of place that would make a good steak and price was over $20. we settled on the buffet after several times going up to check out what they were serving. my husband will eat anything but I am more picky. it was Friday and they had mainly fish and shrimp. The fish was so thin it curled up and not much flavor. breaded shrimp just ok. The salad you got a plate of pre dished out salad that you could add a few extras but was just okay. The fried squash was good but everything else was ok. They had the usual sugary desserts but not good. I got I think it was a cherry cob but was mostly dough. will not be back for $45 bill - too much for what we got!

Judy S.

Yelp
Top notch service and excellent Southern buffet. Farm to table, fresh food. The turkey, dressing, collard greens, fried chicken and everything was excellent. Be sure to try the banana pudding! Even managed to get a beer and wine with our meal.
