Magorabin

"Not far from the Mole, sitting at a table you are immersed in a modern, essential atmosphere in half light, where the food plays the lead. And on closer inspection: Marcello Trentini is one of the most skilled and versatile chefs, not only in Turin. Among tasting menus dedicated to his classics and a vegetarian path (but with the possibility of choosing à la carte), his cuisine is a masterstroke–or rather, wizardry–because of its well thought out complexity and ability to travel among Piedmontese and international, for example Asian, flavors and recipes. Simple titles of just a few words often conceal great masterpieces, sometimes with products expressed in multiple preparations." - Michelin Inspector

Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm and courteous welcome from the staff, setting the tone for an evening of indulgence. I chose a three-course vegetarian tasting menu and I was pleasantly surprised to receive a delightful array of starters and desserts, far exceeding my initial expectations. The food itself was a symphony of flavors, dishes meticulously crafted and highlight of Italian cuisine with a modern twist that showcased the chef’s creativity and skill. Service was attentive and kind. One standout moment was when the waiter noticed I was struggling to finish my desserts. Without a word, he thoughtfully packed the remaining sweets for me to take home, a beautiful gesture I must say. Magorabin offers a dining experience that is well worth its 7 years in a raw Michelin star. While the interior may benefit from a brighter, more cheerful update (only my small opinion as I am not a fan of dark interiors, especially in restaurants), the outstanding food and impeccable service ensure that it remains a must-visit for any culinary enthusiast visiting Turin. ⭐️

Absolutely fantastic Michelin Star restaurant with authentic Piedmontese food and wine. We have been the second time and it was simply outstanding. The rock music backdrop is quite unique and the service is really excellent, personable and super friendly (one doesn’t even had to ask for wine or drinks refill). The food was absolutely superb! One star? More is possible. The pasta with open flame molten butter, roasted onion powder with a massive smoky overtone … outstanding. But that’s not to reduce any of the other dishes … with some praline, a super creamy zabaglione and wonderful canelé to finish. Molto bene. Make sure you visit this outstanding place and its elegant dark in dark interior design.

That was our second visit and we were still not disappointed by the creativity and the quality of the dishes, well done ! Very minor comment though, as we realized that we’d have to pay the bread and the butter (12€) even though we took the 5 courses menu. We’ve never seen this in any other Michelin restaurant.

We had lunch here today. It was excellent in all respects: interesting tasty food, impeccable service (attentive, friendly, multilingual), great wine. While not cheap, we felt it was worth it.

Modern, light, tasty dishes inspired by piemontese cuisine. Set menu of either 5 or 9 courses, or a 4 course vegetarian option. The chef manages to strike a beautiful balance between flavours and textures. Also vegetables play a main part in his work, which i love. Service outstanding, professional warmth with attention to every single detail.

Super Stylish and great food. Had a very nice evening there. Went for the longer set menu with wine pairing. Wine came for two courses always, which was not always a perfect for both then. Nonetheless a great experience.

Not sure what "down home cooking" means - i would call it fusion fine dining. Degustation only - we choose 8 courses which was a bit too much for me. Everything was beautifully presented. Multiple amuse bouches and petit fours. Tartare with caviar and passionfruit was interesting. We went with their wine selection by the glass and had some options that were innovative. Service is professional if seemingly rushed.

Yelp
I had one free day in Turin to eat a nice meal, so I was deciding between Del Cambio and Magorabin, but I am so glad I chose to dine at Magorabin. Not to discredit Del Cambio--I'm sure it's a great restaurant--but I had such an amazing experience at Magorabin.   I was in Turin for business and decided to stay an extra day on my own to explore the city and eat a nice meal. I flew in on my birthday, so I was celebrating my birthday late on my own since I don't know when the next time I'll be in Europe. You can't dine alone at a table, so I decided to eat at the social table even though I preferred to be alone. Luckily, I was the only one! Probably because it was a Monday night.   I can't even begin to explain all of the dishes that I ate that night. They sent me the menu, which I included in the pictures, but let me tell you... everything was amazing!!! The dishes weren't too small or too large, and I was able to enjoy every dish without being completely stuffed. 100% visit!!!

Yelp
The new location is definitely an upgrade! The ambience is minimalist sophisticated but still kind of "warm". The service was good/very good. Candidly only young people running the show is ok but not perfect, I believe seniority still matter on a upscale dining experience. The food worth the one star even if the menu is pretty short, the desserts... not so impressive. Wine list is fairly priced and vaste enough. The "chef choice" set menu is such a trend those days, annoying as honestly I'm over! Is not personal with Mago Rabin, is a general tough ... part of the skills should be exactly the opposite: stick on a creative revealed menu and perform, specially when the chef choice is more because of convenience than creativity. Said that, thank you for the very pleasant night, I'll be happily back when in Torino.

Yelp
We had an outstanding dinner here last month while visiting from the US. Foodies, we are always looking for a restaurant to surprise us with fresh ingredients, innovative approaches, authentic service and comfortable surroundings. This restaurant exceeded our expectations on every level. The service was impeccable. Present, warm, helpful without ever being overbearing. The menu and wine list read well and delivered even better. The room was contemporary, well-lit (not too bright, not so dark as to need flashlights to read the menus) and well-designed. There was plenty of room among tables in the modestly-sized restaurant. It was a perfect layout. There were many surprises at the start and end of the meal, including the amuses-bouche (many), the bread(s) course and dessert. In between, there was simply absolutely delicious food. And the wine. Well-paced. We are already looking forward to our next meal, next trip to Torino! Grazie!
