Extraordinarily good! We were lucky to get a table in this restaurant. From the first moment the service was very friendly and attentive. And the food was amazing - every dish kept on impressing us. Without any hesitation - the best tuna and tuna dishes that I have ever tried. Really impressed and appreciated the opportunity to eat at Maguro Mart!

Expensive, but good. We've had the tasting menu, we paid for 3 even though we were 2 (on our request as we made the reservation for 3) but it seems like the price also doesn't include tax (or they've added about 1500 for something else, we're not sure). The raw tuna dishes are great, other things were good but not great, especially the namba which was a deep fried cube of fatty tuna, and was too heavy to enjoy really. In hindsight, if given the option we'd take a smaller meal, of only raw tuna dishes, as that's the highlight. Overall a nice visit, but some dishes are very unbalanced, the servers don't speak fluent English, and the fact that you can't really order a table for 2, only for 3 and above, feels like a way to cheat out an extra 2000 yen (or 4000 if ordering only a seat) out of guests.

This place gets a 10 out of 10. I showed up right at opening without a reservation, and they were nice enough to let me eat, with a time limit, which was fine by me. The ambiance is great, with lots of staff to help make the experience enjoyable. They have a sample platter, but there is a 2 person minimum. So I ended up ordering several things off the menu. To be honest, everything was outstanding. The sushi was delicious, the sashimi even better, the maguro yukke fantastic, and the assorted tempura with raw tuna was amazing. This is a place that I will certainly come back to, again and again. I highly recommend you try this place, whether you live in Tokyo or are just visiting. Great experience.

This is a must place to come even if you are not a tuna lover. Yes, it is all about Maguro (tuna) but the varied cut gave so much flavor and all tasted soo good. Scraping the meat from tuna bone gave a new level of taste. Fresh and a unique texture and flavor. Otoro, chutoro, akami are standard cut, but cheeks and chin was so interesting. My favourite place in Tokyo, just 1 train stop from Shinjuku to Nakano city.

Very unique food experience. Must book in advance. The location is further from the city but worth the trip. Most clientele are foreigners but staff and accommodating with English menus and services. The 8 course set has a wide variety of tuna made in different ways, difficult to experience anywhere else.

Delicious food. I'm used to yellowfin tuna so it was nice to try the 8 course bluefin meal (roughly $30 USD). Drinks were tasty as well. I only gave it a 4 out of 5 star because the wall we were facing was kinda dirty but that's understandable seeing as the dining table is right up against it. One waitress spoke English which made it easy for us. This was surely one of the many high points of our trip, save your appetite if you go here, no to go boxes.

Very nice place even though much pricier than expected. Got the 980 yen tuna sashimi flight, the 680yen pickles, 2x Blood Orange Sour (2x680) plus the Daigojunmai Sake for 1200 and somehow paid 5500 yen. So maybe tax was this much added? But otherwise very delicious and great service

Google
I don’t know how this restaurant is only rated 4.5. Just the value proposition is a 10. The 8 course Omakase is the way to go. I ordered 3 other sides because I thought I might not be full - big mistake. The 8 course is substantial and delicious. The Nakaochi - scraping the tuna meat off the bone is the highlight for us. If you love Tuna, this is the best place to be.

Yelp
What a treasure Maguro Mart is! The 8 Course Luxurious set menu is highly recommended. Course 1 was the seaonal seafood with tuna dashi. I thought this was a soup but it came with Nigiri pieces. Tuna was fresh and rice was well seasoned. Course 2 was the tuna "yukhoe". This was seasoned raw tuna with an egg yolk on top. Mix it all in to enjoy the creamy textures. Course 3 was the Maguro Mart assortment. This was an assortment of different cuts of tuna. My personal favorites were the leaner cuts where some others may prefer the fattier pieces. All the sashimi slices were high quality. Course 4 was the simmered tuna. This was more delicious than it looked. This was tuna fin cooked and simmered. It was so flavorful with again leaner parts and fattier/collegan bits. I couldn't get enough. Course 5 was the uni-sho. I just realized as I am typing this review, they forgot about this dish because we added the uni and tuna pieces on top of our set menu. This was exactly what I was looking for with chunks of raw minced tuna and heaping amounts of uni with rice and wrapped with roasted seaweed. Course 6 was the rare tuna tempura. Thumbs up to deliciously fried, but light batter tempura. The corn, zucchini and unagi were my favorites. I didn't care for the tuna because I don't love the taste of cooked tuna this way. Course 7 nakaochi. This is the tuna bone that you scrape and place into your rice. Wrap everything up with seaweed and you won't be disappointed. Everything worked well and the seasoned rice added to it. Course 8 is sort of related to be eaten with the nakaochi I would absolutely visit this spot again and again. The set meal provided variety, the price was only 3980 yen (each person must order a drink as well on top) and the staff are amazing!

Yelp
A must try! Every single dish, all the employees! I have never and will never have sushi like this again. How can tuna taste so different!! Try the one where you scrape it yourself, don't forget to order the rice with it. Highlight of my Japan trip.

Yelp
We came here by word-of-mouth recommendation from my husband's coworker and it did not disappoint. Maguro Mart - true to its name - serves tuna-based dishes. We opted for the 7-dish menu which gave us a slew of entrees such as tuna yukhoe, a variety of tuna sushi, tuna sushi tempura, simmered tuna, and a tuna slab where we literally scraped off the fresh meat using a wooden 'finger spatula' (sorry, my uneducated self found that to be the best descriptor). They also serve cocktails and alcohol here - my husband tried the tuna sake which was served with a slice of smoked tuna in the drink, while I had a yuzu-based cocktail that was extremely refreshing. I love tuna and this meal was definitely a highlight of our trip. Be aware that with many places that serve alcohol, you will be served and charged for a mandatory appetizer (around 300 yen) - for us it was a single grilled oyster. This is not a scam, and is expected. If you love tuna, make sure you try to nab a reservation here - you won't regret it.

Was on a solo trip and passed by nakano broadway to pick up some anime stuff for a buddy's kid. Ordered for pick up here and it was easy (no wait) and deeelicious and price was good too
