This Farmer's Market is fairly new and is located at the Martha Riley Library parking lot, next to the softball fields. There's plenty of parking. This was my first time shopping at this Farmer's Market. I see it every Sunday when I pass by Pleasant Grove and yesterday I finally had the chance to actually make it here. We shopped early before it got too hot. It takes place every Sunday from 9:00a to 1:00p.
This Farmer's Market is really convenient for me, just a short 2-min drive from my home. It isn't very big but we enjoyed a large selection of fresh produce, baked goods, fresh bread and handcrafted items like jewelry and soaps. They even had live music.
We had a good haul after spending about 45 mins there. There was even a little bit of international fare offered...
* Phil Me Up - offering classic Filipino dishes like lumpia and pansit
* Bun Bao - variations of meat-filled Chinese buns
* Baklava & Coffee - fatayers, samosas, and baklava
* The Crazy Gringo Taco Wagon Salsa Co - get your salsa fix here and try their salsas, tamales and chips!
Lots of farm fresh goods coming from Sacramento, Arbuckle (Colusa County), and even as far as Gilroy! Had my first taste of pluots! I've never had this fruit before. Hope to see this farmers market grow... but I enjoyed my first shopping trip at this farmer's market.
