The 26 Best Restaurants in San Juan, Puerto Rico | Eater

"Chef Kelly Pirro has created a menu with a focus on Southeast Asia, which is a refreshing alternative to the abundant Chinese and Japanese restaurants. Thai curries, banh mi, a healing tom yum soup, and satisfying laab. This is also one of the most vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free-friendly restaurants in San Juan, making it a safe bet when one has a varied party to entertain." - Paulina Salach Antonetti

My husband and I enjoyed dinner here while on vacation. We had the garlic wings as an appetizer. They were deliciously seasoned without adding any of the sauces. Our entrees- green curry with pork and holy basil stir fry with shrimp were absolutely fantastic. The flavors and spice levels exceeded our expectations. This place is definitely one I would return to. We began eating before we remembered to take pictures!

Google
Their food was delicious 🤤 Get the crispy garlic wings as an appetizer. They are so flavorful and just right! The Holy basil drink was refreshing. The Prik Khing Curry with a level 3 spice was just right for me, and my friends drunken noodles were on point as well. Nice space, nice vibe, nice servers. I went in the evening on a Monday night and it was pretty busy. There was a bit of a wait time to get a table and in between being served, but the food and drinks were worth it!!!

Google
Overall a very pleasant experience! The servers were wonderful, attentive, caring and accommodating. The restaurant is very comfortable and aesthetic. The food was delivered at a fast pace and the value we found was overall fair. We would return here! The food was just slightly underwhelming but still flavorful and enough for us to return and try something new. We ordered the Beef appetizer, Pad Thai with Shrimp and the Cashew Stir Fry (which is not a typical stir fry). Parking I don’t think is available right outside the restaurant. We walked there from La Placita.

Google
Some of the best Thai food I have ever had. If I was staying, I would have ordered food to go. The drinks were perfect and I couldn’t get enough. A must if you’re in San Juan and only a short walk to La Placita with a New Orleans vibe.

Google
We sat at the bar for dinner and were greeted by the bartender, Pepe, who was instantly charming. She walked us through the menu, and kept our cocktails coming. The dining room is inviting and spacious, and our fish cakes (photo) and pork pad thai were absolutely fantastic. Strongly recommended. Thank you again, Pepe!

Google
A more tamarind-y and citrus-y type Pad Thai sauce - not my style but still flavorful and my husband loved it. Was doubting that a Thai restauraunt in San Juan can deliver Thai level spicy (I’m SE Asian) but their level 5 sure did! Beware tho - would recommend a 4 instead haha. Papaya salad and mezcal cocktail was great too.

Google
This is a great location to get some spice. It’s hard to find great restaurants with high-quality spices in the city of San Juan from the noodles to the dried beef appetizers to the drinks. This place knocked it out of the park. The waiters are very attended and the staff is super helpful when you’re looking to build a great meal #Mikeylikey

Google
Good spot, great service and amazing food. Attentive service. Mónica was our waiter. We ordered the Fish Cake for appetizer and for a meal the Chicken Pad Thai and BBQ Pork Drunken noodles. Good portion, very tasty and medium spicy (the meals). We loved it!

Yelp
Food (4/5 stars): Thai is one of our favorite collective cuisines, so we had to try Mai Pen Ren. I was a little underwhelmed by their Drunken Noodles. We decided to share and it wasn't enough for 2 people. It also tasted like a Spicy Pad See Ew because the fish sauce was overpowering. But the spice was on point and the dish was still delicious. I'd recommend trying other dishes and keep in mind that portions are on the smaller end Experience (4/5 stars): * Price: pricey for the portions * Wait Time: minimal for a party for 2 on a Monday night * Service: our server Patricia was awesome! Very good and friendly * Ambiance: it's a very nice, modern, and beautifully decorated restaurant

Yelp
We were very excited to try this place because we love Thai food and haven't gotten to have any since we moved to PR. The staff was very friendly, the restaurant was cute. However, it was the worst Thai food we've ever had (and we've eaten it a lot, all over the world). The dishes didn't taste the way they were supposed to, and we were disappointed. The best thing we ordered was the satay chicken. The worst thing we ate was the tom kha, which was super overpowered with some strange salty flavor (maybe a boullion/soup flavoring). The lemongrass salad was extremely bland and didn't taste like it had any lemongrass, spice, or real flavor. It was primarily shredded cabbage. On a side note, the police seem to be patrolling and giving out tickets to anyone parking on the street, even without No Parking signs. I recommend parking in the nearby $6 parking lot for restaurants.

Yelp
Food is amazing! So flavorful! Brutal!!! Excellent service. Ambiance is nice. Not too loud so you can enjoy a conversation. Overall will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem in the middle of placita. Street parking is limited so you're better off paying $5 to park in the parking garage down the street. Our first time here there was a bad interaction with the hostess. We waited almost 2 hours before we never received a phone call for a table. When we returned to the restaurant the hostess had skipped us completely for no reason. The food is so good we still come back. Whenever we go we order the green curry and the drunken noodles. The green curry is thick and creamy. The drunken noodles are made with wide delicious noodles but the recipe could use Thai basil. It is important to understand the heat scale(1-5). I am a huge fan of spicy (ghost peppers, extra sriracha etc) but a level 3 is the most tolerable enjoyable spiciness. If you get a level 5 you're asking for all heat (intense heat) and no flavor.

Yelp
The hostess is quite rude, beyond curt and gruff too. She rudely asked for our ID and and Vax card. She then told us we could only sit down the middle tables, where everyone and their brother walks by us. She once again told me rudely that we could only sit in the middle seats when I asked if we could take an end booth seat or the table at the back of the room. Only for parties greater than two. Yet they let two lovey dovey girls sit in a booth with no others in their party. Such a hypocrite too. We wouldn't feel so exposed if we had even 1 more person in our party. Our waitress, Patricia was also a bit short with us and asked for our ID and Vax card when she first came to our table. I told her we had already showed the hostess when we entered. The staff here need to get their stuff together and retrain on how to deal with customers in a better manner. Not even 5 minutes into the experience and I already want to walk out of this place. Kept our mask on until our food came out since so many people walk by us within less than a foot on either side of us down the aisles. I loathe the middle seats in this place so much. Rather limited menu for main entrees. I was feeling Pad Prik or even Pad Pak or red curry, but none of those are available here at all. These are pretty basic Thai dishes. Papaya salad is out and Patricia didn't come back for our entree order. Not much papaya salad for $14. The rice and salad doesn't even cover most of the plate. The papaya salad is tasty, not too fishy and nice heat too. The sticky rice is hard like a brick, seriously hard. The rice is not sticky or sweet at all, it's just unbelievably bland and hard and chewy too. The salad the better of the pairing. The rice is embarrassingly bad and hard and so boring too. The rice is so hard that it can't be broken up by a fork and can only be cut by a fork and a knife. It could be use as armor, it's that hard. The papaya salad was a 3-4, the side of rice was 0-1. Ordered green papaya salad to start since that's all we could order when tye waitress first came for our order. We had to wait until after our papaya salad was out and down the hatch before we could get our entrees in. We ordered the pad Thai with chicken and steamed fresh tofu ($4) and veggies ($5) extra extra hot (level 5), and green curry with chicken and steamed tofu ($4) and extra veggies ($5) medium spicy (level 2). $72.76. Patricia assured me the rice that comes with the papaya salad is supposed to be rock hard. That's ridiculous and insane. She seemed more attentive as time went by. They don't have any straws here at all. I won't drink my water without a straw at all, so no water or drinking for us then. They have the plastic chopsticks, not one time and disposal. Yuck. Plastic chopsticks are so dirty. Their pad Thai doesn't taste right at all. Doesn't taste like pad Thai at all. Not even slightly even. Tastes like they use the sweet Thai chili sauce as their base for their pad Thai here, it's all off and wrong. It wasn't at all what my husband and I expected. We eat a lot of pad Thai in the states, all over and even in Thailand too and have made it 100s of times too. Way disappointed in their rendition of pad Thai. Don't mess up a good thing. The pad Thai was a solid 2 at best. The green curry tastes as it should and is so-so. The sauce is decent and the tofu, chicken and veggies are decent. The side of sliced cucumber and onions in vinegar isn't bad, it's better than their pad Thai. Green curry was a solid 3. Avoid using the bathroom at all cost. It is as bad as a porta-John and the toilet doesn't even work or flush at all. It's a dirty cesspool here. Gross! I feel gross having been in this place at all. $72.76 for average to bad food.

Yelp
We ordered drunken noodle, pad see ew, and pad Thai, yet they all had the same noodle (skinny), which is so wrong. Also the drunken noodle and pad see ew flavors were not good at all. Pad Thai was acceptable and also had their wings which was decent. Overall very disappointed. Service was pretty mediocre. Would not recommend this place at all. Might as well not eat "Thai" than eat at this place.

Yelp
I'd be lying if I said their Thai level 5 spice wasn't spicy! Jeez, their food is good and their staff is so awesome. As a vegetarian transitioning to vegan, Mai Pen Rai makes their menu easy to customize and choose from. I ordered the Green Curry at level 5 spice. My jaw was throbbing after a few sips, but damn, it was good. If I had to do it again, I'd go for level 2-3 spice to be able to enjoy the flavors even more. I'd take their spice levels seriously.

Yelp
Probably some of the best Thai food we've ever had! Let me start with saying the atmosphere is very fun- bar vibe- but also very trendy. We had the young papaya salad which is always a favorite of ours at any Thai restaurant. We got a a spice level 1/5 and it was still very spicy- and we love spicy! With our entrees, we opted with a zero spice and it was perfect. We got the green curry with chicken and pad see ew with beef. Only thing was they were out of thick noodles and had to use pad Thai noodles which was fun. Cocktails were good too- they make their own infused tonic water which was cool! Deff worth checking out this place if you love Thai! It's right in the heart of all the bars, clubs and restaurants near the market!
google avatar

Yelp
What an absolute joy to find some amazing Thai cuisine here in town. I wish there was a vegetarian option for appetizers but was thrilled to see they had non-alcoholic spirits to make some gin and tonics! The pad see yew with tofu was AMAZING. Also, the tofu Pad Thai was wonderful. They were out of the sticky rice by the time we ordered dessert so will definitely try next visit. Highly recommend making a reservation no matter what day of the week you want to go. Look forward to returning again and trying more delicious food.

Yelp
Best green curry ever!!!! This is our 3rd time here and never disappoints. The Basil cocktail is also delicious

Yelp
My favortie thai restaurant in Puerto Rico, thus far (there aren't that many on the island). I've eaten here twice and have enjoyed it both times, the first time for dine-in and the second takeout. The dine-in experience was pleasant, the service was friendly and the ambience was chill. It is also family friendly. The takeout experience was also nice. And of course, the food was tasty. I really like their crispy garlic wings, the drunken noodles, and the some tom (green papaya salad). The pad thai, prik khing curry and the bahn mi were also very good. I would say the only thing that was subpar were the chocolate wontons for dessert. I knew I should have gone with the sticky mango rice. Next time. The restaurant is located right next to the Placita de Santurce, a great hangout spot during the weekends at night. Perfect for eating and then going out to drink. The downside to that is the traffic around the placita during those hours, so keep that in mind. I'm used to LA Thai food prices so I was a little let down in that sense when I first went as I was looking for a tasty cheap meal. But the prices are normal for the San Juan Metro area restaurants.

Yelp
This is my favorite Thai restaurnat in PR. The décor and ambiance are very nice. This is a good place for a date. I love their crispy garlic wings and som tom (papaya salad). The chicken satay, pad thai, and drunken noodles are also very good. It is recommended you call and make a reservation as this is a popular restaurant, and with covid-19, seating is a bit tricky with all the new rules and regulations.
google avatar

Marisol C.

Yelp
It was the perfect meal for our last night in PR. We ordered the Crispy garlic wings, Green curry, & Drunken noodles. Great utilization of aromatics in all the dishes by the chef. We also received excellent & friendly service from our server Alex. It is a definite must try for Thai cuisine.
google avatar

Gina S.

Yelp
They have a wide variety of Gluten Free food and they make all their dishes made to order. Really enjoyed the GF pad Thai. Awesome ambiance and good service. Will be coming again

Kevin S.

Yelp
Great find out of nowhere in San Juan , Puerto Rico Best choices for gluten free food and vegetarian options, nice atmosphere, service is very helpful and they go out of their way to accommodate Highly recommended for anyone visiting Puerto Rico
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
Service is great, food amazing!!! I ordered the green papaya salad and the chicken satay. LOVELY! The salad was super fresh and crunchy, easy on the fish sauce and no peanuts but super delicious, maybe a Caribbean thing, LOL! The chicken satay was on point, lovely, super Thai classic! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
google avatar

Annum A.

Yelp
We ordered the drunken noodle level 3 spice. They have 1-5 as spice levels 5 being the most spicy. My friend and I were sat quickly and the food was really delicious. Even the thai iced tea! The waitress even brought my friend two extra spicy sauces and she loved those too. The only complaint I have was there were more veggies than noodles in the drunken noodle but other than that totally a surprising and yummy experience in puerto rico!
google avatar

Judy Z.

Yelp
We made a reservation and we're seated promptly. The service was good and the food came out in a timely manner. I ordered Thai iced tea and green curry while my friend ordered the pad siyu. The green curry tasted great but the pad siyu was just soy sauce...all salt. The Thai iced tea also had no sweetened condensed milk in it. A big let down :/ I would recommend making a reservation, getting the curry and coming with low expectations of authentic Thai flavors.
google avatar

Ashlyn K.

Yelp
Street parking or a few parking lots near by. Quick seating even without a reservation. As leaving it was starting to get busy for dinner. Ordered garlic chicken wings. Crispy, juicy, not dried out. It had good flavor. I also got drunken noodles. My dish didn't have many noodles. It was level 3 spicy (level 1-5 options for spice) which actually had spicy so it was perfect. Meat and noodle were chopped down into small pieces majority of my plate. Idk if that was intentional or not. It made it seem more like I was eating stir fry than drunken noodles. It was still good. Service was quick and all waiters and waitresses helped eachother. Everyone was attentive and nice.
google avatar

Tanya S.

Yelp
We went because the reviews looked good, but if you're looking for quality authentic Thai food - stay away! We ordered the drunken noodles, green curry, & red curry. The drunken noodles were the best out of the 3, but had so little noodles and way too many huge pieces of broccoli. The red curry is terrible, super watery and no flavor & again, way too much broccoli! The green curry was lacking in flavor and needed to be much better - again huge pieces of broccoli and thick pieces of broccoli stems and no other veggies. We ordered tofu/veggie as our protein options and they filled all the dishes with broccoli and broccoli stems and not enough flavors. Do not recommend!

Yelp
This place is so good. I've been each time I've come to town and enjoyed it more with each visit. This time I had a waiter who was particularly well informed and able to answer questions about veganizing items on the menu. Last time I went (earlier in 2018) my waiter told me nothing but the fried rice could be made vegan. This time however she told me that essentially everything on the menu could be made vegan and assured me that there was no oyster or fish sauce in my entree. I ordered the basil tofu dish and it was really excellent. They have a full bar and they have a gin & tonic with homemade tonic which is excellent and is not optional, you must order it. Another positive about this place- you're able to decide how spicy you want your dish on a scale of 1-5. This is good news for us wimps who can't handle the spiciniess of traditional Thai food.
google avatar

Alina R.

Yelp
This is a really cute restaurant in the middle of santurce, its not big, but it has a nice and cozy atmosphere. I suggest you reserve ahead of time if you're going with more than 2 people, it gets kinda full at dinner time. I was with a party of 4, and we waited around 25-30 minutes to be seated, which isn't a lot, but if you're starving, that might be something to consider lol. The waitress was straightforward and reasonably polite. Our food came a few minutes later, and we were literally mute at the table from how delicious everything was. Totally worth the wait. BTW, the online menu you'll see on google is not updated. The prices have gone up just a bit, so keep that in mind. It's a tad bit pricey, but if you're looking for something different, it's worth giving it a shot. I would give everything over all a 9.5/10.
google avatar

Carol D.

Yelp
Absolutely not!!!!! Hostess had attitude in an empty restaurant. Server nice but if asked how hot you want things go low!!!! They asked 1-5 so I figured just a bit of a kick so went w a 2....I clean my plate but could not touch this. My nose kept running. Server NEVER came back to see if we were satisfied. Wanted pad see yew but they were out of the noodles--- really???? What a disappointment.
google avatar

Tiya B.

Yelp
Don't order to go from here. I ordered drunken noodle to go and all I got was a handful of noodles with a bunch of veggies. Aren't noodles cheap? Not sure why they are being stingy with noodle portion. I can't believe I paid $20 for literally no food. While that tiny portion tasted good, it's just way overpriced for what you get. They need to change the to go container to a larger size if they are unable to fit the right amount of food. I was so mad that I tried calling to get a refund. They don't pick up the phone. Very disappointing and won't be coming back.
google avatar

Catherine O.

Yelp
Toam Kah Gai soup was delicious and a very big portion. Service was prompt and friendly.
google avatar

Zalak A.

Yelp
This place had good flavor but the noddles were definitely too salty. The holy basil stir fry was more of a soup than a stir fry, but the flavor was great! It was hard to find flavorful food in Puerto Rico, so this definitely hit the spot.
google avatar

Ting L.

Yelp
As a (mostly) vegetarian in Puerto Rico, finding good places to eat with multiple veggie options on the menu can be tough. Mai Pen Rai has quickly become one of my favorite go-to spots, since you can easily choose to make many dishes veggie / with tofu. I wasn't sure what to expect for Thai food in PR, but everything was really delicious Highly recommend the drunken noodles -- normally I'm a pad see ew kind of gal, but these drunken noodles are so, so bomb. The cashew and basil stir fry were also good, and for dessert, the mango sticky rice was amazing. Note that everything can be quite spicy (you can choose a spice level from 1-5, I usually go with a 3) Drinks-wise, my favorite was the Fancy Lychee Sh*t. Love the real lychee The only downside is that parking can be kind of difficult; you'll probably have to park far away and walk and you might end up paying. Outside of that, I highly recommend checking this place out. Writing this review is stirring up a craving -- will definitely be back!
google avatar

Frederick S.

Yelp
Staff: half friendly Food: interesting taste, in a bad way. Quite a few things unavailable to us because supply issues or something. Drink: no beer on tap, decent prices. Wait: long for tables, none at the bar.
google avatar

Adam L.

Yelp
One of my favorite thai restaurants... anywhere. I go to Thailand every year so the bar is crazy high for my thai food. Any new city i travel to i always seek out thai food, no matter where i am. Back to Mai Pen Rai: I came here a few years ago but never since and finally was reminded this place existed. First thing i did was order the staples: Pad thai for my friend and for me: Prik King curry (i always get panang which they dont have, so i settled on this one). Another way i judge thai food is by ordering "Thai hot" on the spicy scale. If im not in pain, its not authentic. Anyways, they made it authentic, and TRUE thai hot, i could barely finish it. This honestly compares to some of my favorite curries in Phuket/Bangkok, you name it. San Juan is lucky to have such a great, authentic thai place here. By far one of my favorite restaurants in all of the isla del encanto!

Sarah D.

Yelp
Surprising to find really good Thai on an island, but this was great! Got the curry and it was delish. Beware of the spice and listen to the wait staff about the heat level :)
google avatar

Saumil G.

Yelp
Good options for vegetarians! We tried the green curry, which was creamy along with drunken noodles. Spice levels are also well listed.
google avatar

Gris C.

Yelp
Review is solely based on hostess: Unfortunately we were not able to be seated. When my friend and I arrived there seemed to be space in dining area and bar. We were told there was a waiting list, which is understandable so we added our # and waited for a call. We realized it was getting close to closing and never got a call so we went back and the hostess was very rude. She admitted she didn't call because they were gonna close anyways, a call would've been nice so we could look for other options. Or simply say there were no more tables. Point is, a restaurant is based off food and the service and what I could see that was not it. Seeing other reviews on here about the hostess tells me it's a problem the owners don't care to fix.
google avatar

Siri C.

Yelp
Big portions, flavorful food, good service! We got the ka soi (huge!!), Green curry with tofu, and hot basil stir fry with tofu. All phenomenal. Spice rating of 2 felt a bit mild but 3 was just right.
google avatar

Rikita H.

Yelp
Such flavorful Thai food!! Probably one of the best, or the best, Thai food in Puerto Rico! The spice level in both the dishes we ordered was good too! Definitely would recommend

Sonia A.

Yelp
I ordered the drunken noodles and the basil stir fry. I liked the drunken noodles HOWEVER there was barely any noodles. Was kinda spicy even though it was at a level 2 so be aware! The basil stir fry was aight. The two stars taken off is because of the service and the quantity of food. The waiters looked like they didn't want to be here and and didn't seem kind.

Dasha D.

Yelp
So I don't usually post due to limited time, and if there's ever an issue I try to handle it with the restaurant, because things happen. However, in this case, that didn't even help. They were sooooo incredibly rude at handling my concern- they even hung up on me. I waited for over an hour for food to be ready when I was told half that time and when I finally picked up my food, arrived home (after a very busy day at work - I'm a surgery resident), the pad Thai was noodles... literally JUST NOODLES with pieces of chicken. I squirted the life and put the peanuts to make it better, and eventually put sriracha so it wasn't just noodles with nothing. Even the worse pad Thai in the states is 10 times better than this - just plain noodles with no sauce. AVOID this place if you're looking for Thai food (I wasn't even looking for great Thai food more so than I was just craving pad Thai, but this is terrible). I feel badly posting this but had they not hung up on me once I would have considered letting it go. I asked if I could pick it up a replacement the day after tomorrow, and even take this one full back, and they said I only could today. Honestly, me driving is probably not the greatest idea because of how tired I am I could easily fall asleep driving (and I even expressed this to them).

Yelp
As far as I can tell, this is the only Thai restaurant in San Juan. It's also the best. As a compliment, I'd say that even if it weren't the only one of its kind, it'd still be the best! The service is very quick and friendly here. I enjoyed my gin and tonic. They have a decent selection of gins and an interesting cocktail menu. It seems they put a lot of effort into their cocktails as well as their food. As for the food, we ordered the Pad Thai, papaya salad, and green curry, all level 5 spicy. If PR makes you miss spice, this is the antidote. The heat level was nice! Everything was just well-prepared and tasty. The green curry came with a big bowl of white rice, and the papaya salad came with some tasty sticky rice. The Pad Thai wasn't too sweet, and the chicken wasn't overcooked. I probably would recommend getting chicken with the green curry, though - we ordered beef with it, but it wasn't quite as nicely cooked as the chicken with the Pad Thai. This place is pretty popular, and with 50% capacity, you'll either need to come early or make a reservation a day or more in advance to secure your table. The restaurant is a short walk to La Plaza del Mercado Santurce (La Placita), and there's paid parking ($8 till 11PM) across the street. The on-street parking within walking distance seems to fill up quickly, so unless you get here quite early, you may end up having to pay to park, since there's no dedicated parking for the restaurant. Enjoy! :)

Angel G.

Yelp
It was the e best tasting Thai food I've ever had. The service was great as well. I truly recommend this place relaxed atmosphere good food.
google avatar

Sushma S.

Yelp
Ordered the fried tofu red curry. I ate it because I was served after a long wait, and I was very hungry. The taste was bland, there was hardly any liquid and worst of all it had a very weird smell. The temperature was too cold to be comfortable. I am giving two stars because my friend's dish wasn't as bad.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Nice find. After going through their check-in (in times of COVID), we were seated far away from anyone else. The beer selection is good and the beer is cold. The menu is pretty simple, and you cannot go wrong with a Pad Thai. For dessert, sticky rice with mango - you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Dajun X.

Yelp
This place is overpriced AF compared with the Thai restaurants in mainland America. Ain't Thai food supposed to be relatively cheap? Lol
google avatar

Robert D.

Yelp
Tip: this place is STILL awesome! Pro tip: Check out the nearby cocktail bar La Penúltima for a pre- or post-dinner cocktail!

Matt K.

Yelp
Best service in San Juan period ...Can't stress this enough. I mean my beer was refilled between sips and I didn't even realize. Outstanding. Food is damn good too.
google avatar

Eddie B.

Yelp
Host played us. We had first called 2 hours prior. They said 45 mins. We got here in 30. She said 30 more mins. We came back in 30. Waited another 20. Had to argue twice. Finally got sat at a table that people who arrived after us were finishing up. Why lie? Just be honest and good to others.
google avatar

Yelp
Love how flexible and accommodating they were by substituting a few veggies in my drunken noodles (which they made vegan for me). This was super flavorful, lots of garlic if you're a fan, you'll love!

Yelp
***door dash delivery*** in town for the holiday and had a hankering for thai. this place has great reviews, so i ordered. we got chicken satay, garlic fried wings, drunken noodles, lemongrass salad, and hot and sour soup. for dessert: mango and sweet sticky rice. the order took over an hour, so i felt that it was a good sign! wrong... the chicken satay was chewy and the peanut sauce had curry flavor, which is common but it shouldn't be called peanut sauce in my opinion. the wings were cooked with fish sauce and soy sauce and boy were they SALTY. i couldn't believe how salty they were. the entree i got was drunken noodles and they were very bizarre. i am used to there being a sauce, but the dish was very dry. the noodles were overcooked and tasted like they were cooked in chicken broth. they were salty as well. the soup was extremely spicy, but flavorful. the star of the meal was the mango and sticky rice. the mango was perfect and so was the rice! i wouldn't eat here again if i was staying in the area. for the price, i could've had a better meal. i was super disappointed.

Yelp
Excellent food, great cocktail menu, bourbon selection, music and overall vibe of the restaurant. Service is always top notch. I make sure to bring all friends visiting the island here! My faves: Green curry with chicken (level 3 heat) & mango sticky rice for dessert. You won't be disappointed!!!

Yelp
If this review was for the service and the pad kee mao noodles alone, it'd get five stars. If you've been around the island, you'd understand the hardship one has to go through to find a good asian restaurant that is NOT Chinese. So finding this has been the best thing that has happened in my culinary experience this past year. We popped in as a party of 5 on a Friday night and were seated immediately. The service, unlike the previous reviews, was great. The ambiance is cute in it's attempt to be "oriental" but bring your own flash light or you have super vision and can read in the dark. *Special red curry with peanuts and coconut milk - it was the special of that particular night and was one of the better curries. Served with rice. *Pad kee mao - holy. amazing. comparable to my favorite restaurant back in the states. *Green curry - also served with a large portion of rice. good but missing something. It was bland and didn't carry enough spice in my opinion. I had left overs and spruced it up with some fish sauce. I think if they added more crushed basil leaves, it would enhance flavor and color. This did not have the wow factor I was looking for and left me unsatisfied. *Papaya salad - the spice level on this was borderline delicious and painful, and EXACTLY what I want. *Pad thai - good. *Thai tea - a little watered down but still satisfied my cravings and if you aren't good with spices, order this to neutralize the spice.

Yelp
Not impressed at all. First and last time getting Thai food in PR. Why would I think it would be a good idea? There's no parking available, all on street parking. We decided to get carry out. Ordered food and picked it up, asked for some hot sauce and was told you'll have to pay for that only if you eat in it's free. What!?! Makes no sense...I'm a paying customer regardless if I eat in or get an order to go. Was it some secret hot sauce? Wasn't asking for a gallon of it, but whatever. Got home and looking forward to eat. Som tam was spicy but not sure if the taste. Pad Thai took one bit and was disappointed (missing bean spouts). Red curry (forgot to take picture) but it was okay. Sticky rice with mango was the only thing that was decent.
