Decided to try this place out, wanting some Thai food. It was a great choice. It was only one gentleman working register and being a waiter. He really had his hands full, but he handled it very well when he came to take our order one person entered they were coming for a pick up. The phone rang at the same time he said to us excuse me went answer the phone quickly then he told the person who was standing there waiting for a pick up order. Please hold one moment while I finish this table he proceeded back to us and took our order.. I was very gracious that he went in such a great sequence. He then proceeded to give the person their to go order but making sure he placed our order to the kitchen first so I would give him a 10 out of 10 for service and when we left, he thanked us for coming. He was very personable and the food was very good. I have the pineapple rice. My husband had a sesame chicken. I enjoyed my food very much and when I am in this area, I would not hesitate to come back.

Google
portions are large- food comes out fresh and steaming, spice rack is available which is awesome for someone like me who can’t handle spice very well but still likes to eat it- so I can add it myself! both owner and the servers are lovely and attentive. been here a couple times and will keep coming back! c:

I got excited too soon. Saw they had changed owners and that indoor dining was back open verses take out only. So I went in for lunch, I was greeted with a warm welcome & seated immediately. But the floors were filthy‼️ I mean absolutely disgusting from long strands of hair to old food crumbs. Now how the people working in there don't see that. I have no clue. So I immediately just decided to go order to go and pray for the best, that the kitchen is much much cleaner. Our Pad Thai was hot and fresh but not spicy at all at level 3 and it's a little on the greasy side. So not sure if I'll be back which is unfortunate for them because I love Thai cuisine.

Google
I Have been searching the area for good, authentic Thai food and after trying takeout from here this afternoon, I’m excited to try more. I got pad ke mao and the basil was fresh the “medium” had a punch and great portion size with a lot of veggies ! Excited to go back to try the Thai curries.

Google
I love the calm ambience, the atmosphere, and friendly staff. This is the kind of restaurant where you can allow yourself to power down your mind from stress and find yourself to be at peace while you enjoy the meals eating slowly. I got the Pad Thai (seafood) along with Potstickers (steamed), and of all the Thai food I've eaten, this is by far among the very best. This restaurant is perfect for someone who is a college student who just took an exam. I'd recommend you dine in and enjoy the customer experience, and not takeout.

Google
Food was delicious. They gave me chicken pad Thai instead of shrimp, but it was still good. Vegetable spring rolls & green curry were delicious!!

Yelp
We returned to find out it's under new management, and that the menu has changed quite a bit since our last visit. We didn't know what to expect but hoped for the best. My hubby ordered pad Thai level 5 spice and loved it. Said it tasted a little different than last time but was still really tasty. I tried the drunken noodles with chicken, medium spice. It was fantastic! We also tried the mango bubble tea, wow! So delicious and refreshing!! Although we were sad to see our old friend, the old manager was no longer there, we were very pleased with how friendly, efficient, and genuine customer service was. We enjoyed the food and the prices were very affordable as well for how much food you get with your meal. Huge portions and oh so good and flavorful. Honestly, we will be back and if you're worried about new management changing things, don't! The food is still delicious here and the customer service is still great! We did an uber eats order and picked up this time, but we plan to eat there next time. Upon walking in, I noticed there were freshly cut flowers at every table. The decor was gorgeous, the space was clean, and of course like I already said...the staff there were great and very helpful and welcoming! We will be back!!!

Yelp
Ordered take out. The fresh rolls albeit huge, were filled with cilantro (NOT basil), and had 1 small shrimp in them. My red curry was so thin and watery, has 2 pieces of eggplant and basil, the rest carrots, I ordered it with pork, but came with chicken. Hubby ordered Pad King and it was ok. Very disappointing.
google avatar

Rika T.

Yelp
The service is top notch, but the food was just okay! I got the Panang curry and my kids got the pad thai. The ambiance was definitely a grab and go restaurant but the people that worked there were really nice

Tracy B.

Yelp
Great customer service and dining table. Food was fresh and very flavorful I didn't need to add anything to it.

Yelp
We were a large party craving Thai Food and Mai Thai did not disappoint! The service was great and the owners we're amazing and the restaurant was super clean! We came from all over the US and Canada and all of us agreed that everything tasted great even their spiciest food was delicious!

Yelp
Lady who runs it, is literally, sweet as pie. But holy sh*tballs it's EXPENSIVE! -2 orders of a crunchy chicken dish -1 order of pad Thai That's it......we drank water. And....... $48.00, I mean Good LAWD. It was good, but man just too expensive for the portion size and what it is.

James M.

Yelp
Hey when it comes to my food as long as it's served hot, fresh and with a smile you get 5 STARS from me all day!!! The ladies at MT 2 did exactly that and I'll be heading back very soon for another round

Jody S.

Yelp
This place not recommended. Food tasted old and poor taste. I Was sick that evening with stomach problems and will not return. Called manager and he was rude and not accept fact that his food was bad. I had eaten there with a previous owner and food better. The manager was nice too. Would not eat free food from there now. The management is not welcoming either. very poor food and poor customer service!

Yelp
Had the green curry, chicken teriyaki, and chicken satay. Giant portions. The owner was so sweet, we ate in. We will come back often. It was delicious. Got a Thai tea to go and that was also super good.
google avatar

Shelly C.

Yelp
Place is closed. Heard the owner passed away. They haven't been open for over a month or maybe longer.

Ashia C.

Yelp
Very authentic Lao/thai food! Love the customer service and plenty of options. Coming here every chance I get.

Carri C.

Yelp
The food was fabulous! We had Pad Thai, red curry, drunken noodles, crab Rangoon, and chicken satay. It was all delicious. I wish we lived closer because we would definitely be eating there again.

Richard W.

Yelp
New ownership here. Went there a couple days ago. Food was awesome. Service was awesome. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Jess M.

Yelp
Fried rice is excellent along with the pad Thai and curry dishes!!!!! We love their lunch specials, the fact that you can eat inside too, and the warm service. Definitely a great spot to visit, as they're open 7 days a week!!!
google avatar

Yelp
My chicken Pad thia is fabulous!! I really enjoyed it Duck Sauce that I asked for YUM My pad thia is sweet & savory at the same , perfect. level two of hotness was a good choice it's hot too!!!
google avatar

Phoebe T.

Yelp
delicious thai food! the place is very family owned, that is why sometimes it might be a longer line but it is definitely worth the wait! i would suggest placing an order ahead of time! we got the lunch specials and the portions itself was pretty big. each came with a spring roll and sauce. you can also choose your different spice level, i did a three and for someone who loves spicy it def hit the spot. the restaurant is closed for dine in but there are a couple of tables for you to eat outside.
google avatar

Jenita M.

Yelp
Huge portions. Plate was hot. Pad Thai was a little flavorless and no peanuts on top. The Pad Thai got a little better when I got to the sauce at the bottom. The owner turnt out to be super friendly as I hung out for my order. The egg rolls were good and crispy. Friendliness and portions up the rating here.
google avatar

Kimberly D.

Yelp
Wow!!! Very unexpected! I almost thought I received their grocers because it was heavy...and then leaves were sticking out! The pineapple fried rice with vegetables and tofu! Amazing! HUGE portion! Plus there's a dang half in there! It is very tasty. I only gave it 4 stars because I requested no egg and I see a few pieces in it. And when I went for pickup nobody was upfront nor acknowledged I was there with any verbal anything. It was my first time so I thought I was missing something. Also, the tofu, while cooked well, is somewhat bland. I've added some sauces from home. The pineapple is juicy and amazing! There is a fusion of what tastes like Indian spices. This is so tasty! I had to stop eating to add to my review . ‼ overall, very well prepared & will order again!

Yelp
Best Thai I've had in the Charlotte area and decent compared to other places I've tried around the country. I've been three so I had an opportunity to sample the same dishes twice and verify consistency. Far warning I can't take heat so when I say an item is hot, it's probably fine for 99.9% of the people. The egg rolls were standard fair however they weren't greasy so that was a great sign. The Tom Kha soup was really good but a tad spicy for me. The coconut was so silky and luxurious I kept wanting more. I had it with pork which was cooked fine and a generous helping was given. I loved the subtle hint of lemongrass. Here is where I get into consistency as everyone makes Pad Thai, the national dish of Thailand, differently. I opted for the Pad Thai mild with Shrimp. I counted 8 huge, perfectly cooked shrimp, the noodles were what I expected in the form of Sen Yai (think of rice noodles shaped like linguini) without being gummy, raw bean sprouts (some cook it), etc. I could pick up with salty fish sauce, a nice hit of Tamarind paste, and palm sugar. Everyone has a definition of "authentic" and this was mine. Next I tried the Garee Curry (yellow) with pork. I love this dish so much and they nailed it. Again the nailed what I know as "authentic" with carrots, potatoes, onions and meat. The coconut milk was so satisfying while the heat from the curry was perfect. The jasmine rice was fragrant and didn't stick together. I've tried a few Thai places and this location is my personal favorite.

Yelp
I recently moved to the Charlotte/Concord area and decided to try this restaurant. Ordering Thai on a Friday night in is my jam, so I found this on Yelp and gave it a try. I really hate giving a bad review for a local restaurant (especially being that is my favorite type of food). I'm coming from the northeast where there's really good Thai food, and I eat it at least twice a month for the past 20 years. And I pretty much order the same couple dishes : panang curry with tofu, spicy eggplant with chicken (which they didn't have), and green curry with chicken or beef. Sorry to say this was not good at all. It was watered down and inauthentic. I ordered panang, and it looks like red curry very watery very little taste, broccoli mixed in, and didn't have any coconut cream, shrimp paste, and peanut flavor that's customarily present in the dish. Panang is a thicker sauce than regular red curry everywhere else I've had it. I knew that it wasn't authentic when I asked her for side of fish sauce with the chilis (and she looked at me crazy) she said they don't have that, that people in the area don't ask for that because it's too strong ofa smell and taste. I looked in the table for the customary sauces on the table of most Thai restaurants, it was no where in sight. Maybe I ordered the wrong dish. But given that they don't use authentic ingredients I don't recommend if you want anything close to authentic flavor and presentation.

Yelp
There was only two people working but they got the food out within 20-25 mins. There is no dine in option but some just ate their food inside the restaurant. I got the pad see ewe but it wasn't as flavourful as I hoped. This is still a solid Thai option for those in the university area.
google avatar

Yelp
Take out and delivery only??? Covid is OVER. OPEN UP YOUR DAMN DINING ROOM !!! Waste of time to drive there for a meal when you can't dine in at all
google avatar

Yelp
Thai curry is my go to dish for any Thai restaurant. I feel like it's a great way to tell if their cooking strategy doesn't lose the basics. Well, it was fantastic! The flavors were spot on delicious! Heat level was perfect, and a fairly generous portion with beautiful plating. My table mates got the pad Thai, ginger wings, spring rolls, and a veggie dish. Nothing tasted fishy, which can be an issue at some Thai restaurants, but not here! Wonderful food! The service was extremely accommodating, felt like we were visiting family. There is a back seating area, a bar, and outdoor seating. A great place to get some variety while staying at Great Wolf Lodge. Love this place! Opportunity for improvement would be some interior decorating and some overall cleaning, but I will take great food and service over ambiance any day of the week!

Yelp
I had never tried this spot so figure I would. I ordered online and had it delivered. Was sad there were no drink options to include. I ordered crab Rangoon, Thai fried rice with chicken, and their vegetables spring rolls. I was excited to give them a try. They didn't include any sauces outside the two appetizers and there was no place to request them on the online menu. The fried rice was good overall. The spring rolls were mostly the wrap and very little inside. I didn't like the crab Rangoon at all. It taste like the cheese had spoiled. I actually had to dispose of those completely. That was the biggest disappointment for me. Overall the food was okay. There wasn't a lot of thought for the needs of the customer as it relates to a delivery order such as utensils and sauces. The fried rice was good but the appetizers, I could have done without.
google avatar

Ashley V.

Yelp
I also ordered egg rolls, mango sticky rice , beef fried rice and pad Thai ooo chicken on the stick with peanut sauce.....yea this girl can eat! All level 5 spicy because I like it hot in here... brining it back 2000s jams My only complaint I wish there was more sticky rice but overall all yummy and I can't wait to dive into left overs and bing watch Netflix tonight overall this late lunch was delicious and worth a stop if your in the concord or Kannapolis's area

Yelp
The restaurant can be easily missed as it isn't highly visible from the street. I drive by it all the time and just realized it existed. When we walked in we were greeted by the nice lady behind the bar and we were told to sit wherever we pleased. There were no other customers there at 6p which is usually prime dinnertime. That worried us a bit but decided to give it a try anyway. We ordered the ginger wings, spicy basil noodle with beef and Pad Bai Kra Pow with chicken. Everything came out piping hot and extremely quick. The food was flavorful and delicious! My only complaint is the cleanliness of the interior could have been better. The floors looked a bit dirty and the tables needed a good wipe down. We were pleasantly surprised with our meals and it was priced similar to other Thai restaurants we have visited. Looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
This was a great quick space for my mom and me when we were car shopping across the street. The owner was very friendly and greeted us with a smile as well as her personal recommendations. The thai tea was delightful as well as the fried rice I had. Word of caution though, their spicy level is SPICY! And that isn't a bad thing! It just caught me by surprise. I love that everything is made in a to go box right away because of the amount of food that is provided. Excellent food and excellent service! Thank you!
google avatar

Destiny S.

Yelp
Soooooo good, highly recommend that you tried this place. I will absolutely be back for their pad, Thai and vegetable rolls.
google avatar

Kyle V.

Yelp
Friendly service and quality food! The food arrived quickly and it was fresh. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of quality food you receive. We were brought a soup of the day, which was a vegetable soup, that we didn't even know about. It was very hot and a great way to start our lunch. I ordered the Bangkok Rolls to start and they were fantastic. You could tell they were fresh and the sweet sauce was a great addition. The lunch portion of the Pad Thai was large enough to bring some home. I ordered a 1 for the spice level but it definitely had a kick to it. She told us that it's usually spicier on Mondays and Tuesdays.. (not sure why). Overall, we enjoyed our lunch and would definitely stop in again.
google avatar

Yelp
I ordered take out of shrimp Pad Thai and it had zero flavor, was given no eating utensils or napkins and came with no sauce. Basically it taste like I was eating the containers it was in. The salad was truly good glad ordered that at least had flavor. With take out fees and tip I Paid $38.98 to eat styrofoam unbelievable!!!!!
google avatar

Sandeep R.

Yelp
Food is average, nothing special. The lady who took my order on phone did a mistake and got my order wrong. Shrimp was way over cooked and melted in my mouth.
google avatar

Barry V.

Yelp
Do not order from this store! They are completely unreliable. To give them one star is to over rate them.
google avatar

Aimee C.

Yelp
Less than average! I think this place makes it primarily off of take out alone. The place was freezing cold and the seats just weren't comfortable. The food was edible, just not that good. Order: Spring rolls/they call it something different - wouldn't order them again. Tom ka soup - not the best, I've had one that I've had that was worse than this one. Pad Thai - my friend thought it was ok, not worth driving there for it. Thai Basil Noodle - yuck
google avatar

Tina V.

Yelp
As an Asian, I feel so disgraced about this place. Ordered Pad See Ewe and they used pho noodles??? The sauce wasn't even made right at all, so it was bland and dry. Then they loaded up the box with so much noodles to compensate for the fact they can't make proper dishes. They need to change their name to Wannabe Thai.
google avatar

Micah D.

Yelp
Green curry chicken. Spicy level is on point. My spice level was 4 and it was the perfect amount of spice. Enough serving for a lunch meal. I'm picky with Thai food. The curry wasn't creamy enough. But overall, definitely worth coming back to try their pad Thai.
google avatar

Suzanne H.

Yelp
We are big Pad Thai fans and search it out in every city. This is slightly different from what we've had before, the noodles are thin and short. We ordered the 2 in spice and our mouths we're on fire! But, its great. Just a big, big portion... I suggest you split it. Seriously. We also had the Tom Kah Soup. It only had mushrooms, chicken, onions and tomatoes. Needed more, and smaller bites. The broth was great, though. The staff was very friendly, and took good care of us.
google avatar

Avi R.

Yelp
Located close to concord mills, this is a decent thai place for lunch or dinner. The prices are on high side compared to your regular thai restaurants. An entree is around 15$ to 16$. We've tried their basil fried rice, seafood noodles and veg noodles. While the portion was decent, the food isnt the best thai food i had. The tom yum soup wasnt good at all. The service was decent. Overall an OK place if you want to try something around concord mills area.

Charlenda V.

Yelp
This is the first time coming and the food and owner was amazing. I will definitely be coming back when I visit Charlotte.

Yelp
I've been here 2 times. They were constantly delicious on both visits. The Pineapple Curry is my absolute favorite! One of my friends has had the Pad Thai and loves it. So glad we have a tasty Thai place close to my house.

Sreedevi E.

Yelp
I rarely write reviews for restaurants, but I was just highly disappointed in the food quality and flavor of this place. I felt the need to leave a review to warn others and also to let the restaurant know so maybe they can improve on their flavor. I decided to try this place out because of the name and convenient location. Let me tell you, they DO NOT deserve to have "Thai" in their title. They offer spice level 1-5: we ordered our food with spice levels 3 & 5. We got the calamari, ginger wings, green curry, and pad Thai. All the food was extremely bland! I did not see one speck of red indicating any chilis or spices added, and the presentation and flavor was not very well done at all. If you're looking for authentic, Thai flavor, I DO NOT recommend this place. Definitely will not be going back again.

Yelp
We had- Chicken Basil Fried Rice= not a fan of having tomato in it but after we removed it, it was tasty, large serving around $13. & Spicy Basil Shrimp Fried Rice= has about 7-8 large shrimp with a container full of jasmine rice & veggies, again can do without the tomatoes. About $15. Did a carry out order; so service was fast. Would go back.

Yelp
Thai food is usually a safe option. I don't think I have ever tried a Thai restaurant that wasn't good...until now. Mai Thai II fit the bill when my coworker and I wanted a dinner that wouldn't be too filling. When we arrived to the restaurant, there weren't many people inside which somewhat concerned me, but when I saw the "People Love Us On Yelp" sticker on the glass door, I thought this place must be good. Should have stuck to my first instinct... The menu was nicely written with clear explanations of each dish. The two waitresses running the floor that night were very sweet and made us feel comfortable without a problem. Because I wasn't too hungry, I only ordered the pad kee mao with beef, advertised as spicy basil noodle on the menu. I've eaten my fair share of pad kee mao and the one thing I love most about the dish is the aroma. The smell is absolutely mouthwatering thanks to the fresh basil and bell peppers, not to mention the spice level in the dish can clear your sinuses without a problem. So can you imagine my utter disappointment when I had a dish that was bland. How in the world is pad kee mao bland? While there were plenty of bell peppers, I greatly disliked the addition of bamboo shoots that was soaked in a sauce that ruined the familiar smell of pad kee mao. It created a vinegar like smell that overpowered everything. The noodles were cut into strange bite size pieces, the texture wasn't soft, and the sauce was minimal. But what bothered me the most was the lack of spice! This was definitely not pad kee mao--not even close! Perhaps I got there on a bad night. Perhaps it was just an off day, but I left having eaten only a quarter of my food. I'm a huge fan of Thai food because I always know what to expect. Ma Thai II was definitely unexpected and not in the good away.
google avatar

Lori D.

Yelp
We got the larb and pad kra kiom. The second dish was flavorful with perfectly cooked veggies. I have it two stars for the chicken larb. I really liked the flavor but the giant chunk of cartilage and bone shard were a surprise. The spice level was low but we had hot sauce.
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
My mom and I ate a late lunch here and were the only ones in the restaurant! I still can't believe it because the food was outstanding! ++++ We ordered the crab Rangoon dip for an appetizer and it was FANTASTIC! I would bathe in it My mom and I usually split the pad thai when we eat at thai restaurants because we cannot eat large portions but the waitress insisted we should get our own plates... we ended up taking half of both orders home in to go boxes. Usually I would complain over something like this however the food was delicious and I did not mind eating the leftovers! Will be back for the crab Rangoon dip alone!!
google avatar

Rob C.

Yelp
Good Thai food. I ordered the Chicken Ka Prow and a 5 on the spicy scale of 1-5. The rice was a bit dry but good food and spicy!!

Travis P.

Yelp
What a waste. Save your time. God elsewhere looks closed all the time, no dine in. Not openly advertised. Only take out.

Kristine S.

Yelp
Food was good and fresh. A huge mistake they made was not labeling the spice level on the dishes. We got 2 orders of the same thing (twice) with different spice levels. We had to go around tasting each other's food to figure out what belonged to each person!! Potstickers we're not greasy at all. They were really good!
google avatar

Yelp
I'll save my star rating until after our meal, but it's Tuesday and our party of 5 arrived at 7 pm. We waited 45 minutes (I do not exaggerate) for our Edamame appetizer to show up after twice asking our server where it as. We've now been here for one hour with no meal. Food finally began to arrive after 1:15 minutes. Flavor was generally okay but the spice level well below normal scale. The duck Grapow had very little edible meat; what was there on the drumsticks was fatty and chewy. The soups were good. Fried rice was as expected. Flavor of the steak salad was below expectations, with minimal spice and low-quality meat. Overall, not a good experience. The server said they were down to three people, which explains the slow service but not the lack of communication as to the status of our meal. My rating, however, has more to do with the quality of the food and less to do with the service.
