The Best Bars and Restaurants in Montreal’s Chinatown - Eater Montreal

"Mai Xiang Yuan offers top notch fried and steamed dumplings (particularly xiaolongbao) and more. Great for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike, dumpling flavors range from lamb and cilantro to dried bean curd and Chinese cabbage. Bien Maison, right next door, is also run by the same people and similarly good quality." - Kaitlyn McInnis

Mai Xiang Yuan is an absolute gem that delivers an unforgettable culinary experience from start to finish. We began our meal with two refreshing cold starters: the Cucumber Salad and Wood Ear Mushroom Salad—both perfectly seasoned with just the right balance of garlic, vinegar, and sesame oil. Each bite was crisp, clean, and packed with flavour. But the star of the appetizer round was definitely #55: the Cilantro and Black Mushroom Salad. Earthy, aromatic, and beautifully balanced, it offered a unique texture and taste that elevated the entire dining experience For the main event, we shared an order of fried pork and cabbage dumplings—crispy on the outside and juicy within, each dumpling bursting with well-seasoned filling that left us wanting more. The boiled lamb and spring onion dumplings were equally exceptional: tender, comforting, and infused with the subtle sweetness of spring onion that paired beautifully with the richness of the lamb. Everything was made even better with a couple of cold Tsingtao beers to wash it all down. The pairing of the dumplings and Tsingtao was nothing short of perfect—light, refreshing, and incredibly satisfying. Service was prompt, friendly, and welcoming. This is a spot where tradition meets quality, and every dish reflects the care and craft of true culinary artistry. We’ll be back—soon, and often.

Excellent dumplings, they taste home made and good price. Highly recommend for dumpling fans. We had the soup beef dumplings, the mushroom and cabbage and the dim sum shrimp ones. Cash only tho.

After a long bus tour, we were alighted at the China town gates, the tour guide recommendedstopto go into China Town. As we entered, Mai Xiang dumplings caught our eye. The staff was welcoming, and we sat and ordered Hot and Sour Soup, pan friend lamb, and pork dumplings. The soup was very good and so were the dumplings. Service was excellent.

I liked the entree 😁 (peanut butter and cucumber noodles). The soup dumplings were a little dry, there wasn’t any soup in them.

Google
Good dumpling restaurant. The place seems to have been renovated. Looks nice and clean. However, it’s still CASH only. No cards accepted. I ordered steamed dumplings but the waiter misunderstood. We got fried dumplings instead. Personally, I feel that these fried dumplings are just too fried that you can’t really enjoy the taste of the filling. I was disappointed. I also had a wonton soup. It was ok but not great. In the past, I’ve had steamed dumplings here and they were delicious so I would probably come back.

Google
Stay away from this restaurant. They steal from customers! I have been a long time customer. But it was my last time here! They are using illegal practice. They charge tip without even noticing the customer. They don’t even tell you that they charged tips. They display an amount on the screen but on the bill its a lower amount. The amount on the screen includes tips. They don’t give you the bill and when you ask for a bill, its a different amount then what they charged you. I asked them that they add the tips to the bill since they charged it and I need it for my expense. He just wrote it on the bill what he just charged me without asking. They don’t accept card. I was shocked by that practice. We are in Quebec!! We have law follow them . This is an illegal practice and dishonest. They are stealing from their customers

The food was absolutely amazing! Although I had to wait an extremely long time for the food. The juicy dumplings are truly juicy. For a cheap price, you get heaven in your mouth!

Google
My favourite dumpling spot in Montreal! I wish they still had the fried tomato egg dumplings but we enjoyed the chicken curry ones a lot. Cucumber salad was delicious as well.

Patrick J.

Yelp
Food and service were both absolutely fantastic. We got the pork and chives fried dumplings, and beef steamed dumplings, all delicious. Came with a friend who ordered and shared some seaweed salad to start and it was delightful. Not something I would have thought to pick out from a menu but I'd definitely have it again! On the service - after leaving our five yr old said she had to use the bathroom (we were a 15 min bike ride from our car) and so we ran back in and they very graciously let us use the restroom even though they looked like they were starting to close up. So incredibly friendly during and after the meal, really made the whole experience all the more enjoyable.

Yelp
I am always up for a tasty soup dumpling and actually any and all dumplings if they are made well. You may think to yourself how hard can it be to find a place like that nowadays? Especially if you are in an area specific neighborhood such as Chinatown Montreal. It's where the eateries are plentiful and the competition fierce! I googled Mai Xiang Yuan Dumpling Chinatown and they are known for extremely juicy dumplings. I was super excited to try it and seeing the place packed upon entry is always a good sign! From the moment you walk in, you are greeted and told that they are a cash only establishment. However, the server points out that there's an ATM machine in house. Or, you can take your bills to a currency exchange just a block away. Lastly they will also take U.S dollars, so all good! There was only one female server when I was there, and it was hard to get her attention. It took awhile to get our orders in, as she was trying to get to all the tables. I had to flag her down several times, once to place my order, again for water and then for small individual plates. Lastly, when I was ready to pay the bill. Although it is a small and cozy eatery, you could see that they definitely needed more staff. The menu was not super big but it had enough dumpling varieties to keep you interested. I ordered their classic juicy pork soup dumplings, their pan fried pork and Chinese cabbage dumplings as well as their steamed pork and cilantro shrimp dumplings. Oh and also a chicken wonton soup. Dumpling portions are quite decent here, with the exception of the bowl of chicken wonton soup which I thought was rather small. Soup dumplings were indeed very juicy and had nice soup to meat ratio. The pan fried as well as steamed dumplings were all nicely done and very moist and flavorful. The chicken wonton soup was just okay and in my opinion the broth was on the bland side. I would definitely skip the soup and just order more dumplings! I would say that it's an anytime comfort food for a dumpling lover so give it a try!

Yelp
+.5 for service Located in Chinatown, this was my family's dinner spot on Christmas Day since there aren't many other places open. I searched up good soup dumplings as I've been craving them for a while, and this place came up for places open on Christmas Day. They have a bunch of dumpling options, including xiao long bao. We ordered a whole bunch of dumplings including the XLB variants. My honest opinion on them was that the soup was too sweet. Definitely not my favourite soup that I've had. Considering the price though, I'd say you get what you paid for cause it's certainly on the cheaper side. Would I recommend this place to others? Ehhh probably not...I liked Petit Poisson more, and am wanting to try Sammi and Soupe next time in Montreal.

Yelp
We were just visiting Montreal & my nephews love dumpling so we came here for dinner. The place is small & interior simple. Cash only, & if you pay in US dollar its 1:1conversion. All dumplings we tried were good! Generous with the hot sauce & the cucumber salad was refreshing. There was only one waiter serving all tables so there was a little wait before our food came. But the waiter was attentive. They got clean bathroom too. I would keep coming back if i live nearby.

Sakura M.

Yelp
It was okay... they charge a fixed tip price which was very odd. Food was okay. Not really the standard we were expecting. Won't be visiting again but glad we had some dumplings.

Yelp
This place has great dumplings! I would recommend the steamed / boiled ones and not the fried ones. We came here for dinner. They inform you as you walk in that they are cash only and they have an atm on premise for you. We tried the 2 dim sum options which were really delicious. I got the chefs platter fried and we definitely got 2 options but I didn't taste a third one. It may have been cos they were all fried. I found the batter thick on these. The next time we came back we got all boiled options and those were delicious. I loved the shrimp and pork selections. They have about 15 tables and are pretty generous with the chili oil. You have to go to the back to pay when you're done. I would definitely go back

Yelp
Let's start off with the star of the show: the fried pork and chives dumplings! These were so so good! Not too oily but the filling was juicy and flavourful. The dumplings were fried to perfection. I feel these are some of the best dumplings I've ever had. We also got the shrimp wonton soup to warm our bellies and it did the job. They give a good amount of shrimp wontons but I found the soup was lacking some heartiness and flavour but it was still good. We also got the beef and shrimp juicy soup dumplings which were a nice experience to eat - slurping the insides before inhaling the dumpling. These came out piping hot and they were quite good but we did find that the meat was quite hard to chew. They have soy sauce, chili oil, and vinegar as condiments for you to make your own dipping sauce. Did take a while for our food to come out but it was because things were being made to order! It feels like a mom and pops shop that's not super clean/modern as other restaurants but it delivers. They are cash only.

Moneys W.

Yelp
Here's my review: The dumplings (pan fried pork and pork soup dumplings) were great. The guy who runs the seating area was obnoxious. It was clear he was all about money, trying to make you buy more food. Constantly saying, you probably need more food, not enough, do you want the menu to pick more things, you want to order more. Also taking our dishes before we barely finished eating off them. And he would say to everyone in the place over and over, "Cash only. Cash only" My son has a peanut allergy so he wasn't going to eat there. The guy keep trying to get us to order food for him saying it wasn't a problem, but they make peanut dumplings in the kitchen. Clearly for this guy, money was more important than my son's health. Screw you Dude. Again, it was good but we won't go back. We'll try one of the many other places there.

Yelp
I ordered pork and cabbage dumplings, they are crispy and tasty. The staffs are very friendly. I would definitely come back to it next time I visit Montreal.

Yelp
Honestly I think I could've had these dumplings every single day! Some of the best dumplings I've had in my life. The place is small and to the point. You have a few options of the dumplings with different protein options as well. We went with the pork and chicken fried and soup dumplings. It's a must visit if you are in the area.

Yelp
Price 10/10 Food 5/10 Service 4/10 We got the pork and mushroom boiled dumplings with an order of classic soup dumplings. The flavor was ok. Dumplings were standard but did lack seasoning. However pairing it with the condiments made it a little bit better. Service could have been better. The store was empty and we were a party of 2. They seated us at a small table. They stuck us on a corner table where there was literally no room. Even though we only got 2 things, the table wasn't able to accommodate everything. They didn't provide much service. When the food arrived they didn't provide plates unless asked. They also didn't take away the empty steamer even though the waitress was right there. They only cleared it when prompted.

Yelp
This place is a cash only place in Chinatown and my goodness they have such delicious and authentic dumplings! You should try them both fried and boiled, though I like boiled better. The dumpling skin is do chewy and soft and the filling is so flavorful and juicy. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Bill H.

Yelp
Excellent spot in Chinatown. Cash only, but as long as you're prepared for that I highly recommend it. The fried lamb dumplings with green onion were unbelievable! Service was polite and made us feel very welcome despite just arriving in town.
google avatar

Mike H.

Yelp
Montréal is popular for dumplings! I suspect due to its geography, northern Chinese cuisine gained popularity in Chinatown. Mai Xiang Yuan is one spot. It resembles a hole-in-the-wall, but its dumpling logo is can't-miss. We tried a plate of 15 steamed dumplings (lamb & cilantro), along with a platter of 15 fried dumplings (pork, cilantro & shrimp). The plump steamed dumplings were flavourful with lamb juice, even before dipping in vinegar/soy sauce. The thick handmade wrappers were just ideal for such traditional dumplings. The fried dumplings were served with a crispy bottom layer, and included decent amount of pork & shrimp. However, the latter was a bit greasy so we left stuffed. Dumpling portions were quite large at reasonable prices. Note the store is cash only, but provides an ATM at the entrance if you're short on cash. Staff were sure to inform guests this was a no-cash / no-service establishment!

Ed M.

Yelp
We went off hours, but the place was still packed. There was one person working the front - he was the waiter, cashier, bus boy, and everything else. It was impressive to watch. Then food came very quickly. And it was one of the best dumplings we have ever had.
google avatar

Tina F.

Yelp
We ordered our food to go since not many places stay open after 10pm. We needed this for our midnight snack. Service was quick as we went to another shop for something else. XLB wad enough for our late night snack. Here in Canada, you get about 10 to 15 pieces for about 16.00. In Cali you might not even get half per order. The 2 places we tried did not disappoint.
google avatar

Sara J.

Yelp
Saw the reviews that this was the best dumpling spot in Chinatown and had to try - spent a few minutes outside before we went in, sure we must have the wrong spot! A small, unassuming place. You go in and are immediately greeted with a "no cards" warning, but there is an ATM in the entry. But the dumplings... oh my. Our waiter helped us pick a delicious sampling, but hands down: the chicken curry dumplings were the best dumplings I've ever had (and I love dumplings!). I will dream about them. Prices were fair, it's not a fancy spot but the food does all the work. Wish I lived closer, I'd be there all the time.
google avatar

Seamus O.

Yelp
The dumplings are delicious but this place is absolutely filthy. Looks like they haven't cleaned the floors in months. Look down and you'll think you're in a barber shop. Sauce jars on the tables also dirty.
google avatar

Denise Z.

Yelp
The atmosphere leaves little to the imagination. The menu is limited for those who may have dietary restrictions. The first three items I ordered were not available. No suggestion on what would be a good replacement. The food itself was really tasty. Each dumpling has its own flavor profile and cooked to perfection. I really enjoyed the Hot & Sour soup.
google avatar

Yelp
It's been over a year and a half since I was in Montreal and I legit still regularly think about how good the soup dumplings were at this establishment. I am admittedly a foodie, so despite my genuine love for Montreal as a city one of my biggest motivations to return for a third trip is to revisit this place and a few other spots with great food.
google avatar

Vivy H.

Yelp
Chinatown dumpling restaurant. Tried chicken curry dumpling to go. They were just ok and only one 2oz red chili and one soy given for 12 dumplings.lol..No plastic ware or napkins. Life is a journey..I'm sure there are better somewhere in the city.
google avatar

Lacey C.

Yelp
I love soup dumplings, this place was the best! We are from Nashville where soup dumplings basically do not exist. I tried soup dumplings at two restaurants while in Montreal, these were by far the best! Fantastic food in general, don't miss this one.
google avatar

Tom Y.

Yelp
The menu was disappointing based on their online menu. It was very limited. There were so many dishes we wanted to try based on their online menu but when we got there, a lot of the dishes werent even on the menu. The peanut butter was different. As you can see, its just regular steamed dumplings with watery peanut butter. The soup pork dumplings was good. Their pan fried dumplings look different here so we had to try it because of the way the pan fried looked. It was just average dumplings though. Overall we enjoyed our dishes.
google avatar

Gene K.

Yelp
Last visit was 8 years ago and the lamb dumplings were fantastic, real good lamb taste...this visit, lamb dumplings not the same, very mild lamb taste, as if it was a beef/lamb mixture...disappointing.
google avatar

Andy R.

Yelp
Best dumplings ever! Cash only, so be prepared. Plan $20-30 per person to enjoy a variety. Eating outside means takeout and they'll bring it outside, but that was no bother. Such good food.

julie s.

Yelp
Came here for lunch the other day by default. What a great decision. You're definitely not coming for ambiance. This is a super casual spot with wonderful dumplings. Don't recall the exact names of our selections but they were.... Steamed shrimp dumplings; boiled dumpling with pork, chives and shrimp. That was served in a bowl of some type of broth. Do t k ow if the broth was to be consumed- we didn't as it was more like lightly flavored water. But those dumpling were amazing! We also ordered pork soup dumplings. Spot on YUMMY! This place didn't disappoint and would definitely come back. Bring cash as they do t take credit cards.
google avatar

Joi S.

Yelp
Would not make change to pay for parking. Cash only and will accept USD at 1:1... really? no thanks, bye bye
google avatar

Wern O.

Yelp
TLDR: dumplings. Though not much else besides dumplings this place has every variety of dumplings. We got take out and was glad for the chili garlic sauce plus soy sauce given. Wish they had something like a fried rice as well.
google avatar

James R.

Yelp
After 9 days of heavy québécois dinners, it was time to change speeds. Came to this dumpling house in Montreal's China Town. Love how right to the point this place is. We ordered the har gow, sui mai, xiaolongbao, beef curry dumplings, shrimp and pork dumplings, and the pork and chive dumplings. All of it was really decent. Love that they had black vinegar at the table. Would come back here if I'm in the area again.

John T.

Yelp
The food was absolutely exquisite and the service was nice. Wonderful outdoor seating, but the outdoor lights turn off at 9:00 or 21:00 Overall good food

Yelp
Don't let the size of the restaurant fool you. It's small but so delicious. We stopped in on a cold day and got bao dumplings that were very flavorful. We also got the chefs special of three different kinds of dumplings. We went with them fried but the boiled dumplings looked better. We would definitely return!
google avatar

Yelp
I love dumplings. Without dumplings, my life would be incredibly empty and incomplete. I go through physical withdrawal symptoms if I don't have them for more than a week! I had checked in to my hotel and needed to grab some dinner. I realized that Chinatown was a mere six minutes away by foot. I decided to do takeout by ordering online on Skip the Dishes and picking it up at the restaurant. I chose Mai Xiang. I got pan-fried pork and mushroom dumplings. I also got steamed shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings. They both came with soy and spicy dipping sauces. The staff at this restaurant were nice when I went in and picked my order. I thanked the woman and walked back to my hotel room to chow down. The pan-fried pork and mushroom dumplings were pan-fried and stuck together. Yep, they are called potstickers for a reason! I absolutely loved the filling and the flavour. They were tasty and were my favourite out of the two flavours. The steamed shrimp, chive, and egg dumplings were good. I think that they may taste better pan-fried. The filling needed more flavour. Dipping them in the soy and spicy sauces helped me eat everything up. It's a solid place to get authentic dumplings. I'd go back and try more items, and get the pork and mushroom dumplings again. (310)

Yelp
We were itching for some good dumplings and saw the good reviews on Yelp so we gave this spot a try. We ordered beef and leek dumplings (fried), pork and shrimp dumplings in soup, pork and leek dumplings (fried) and the jelly fish/cucumber appetizer. Dumplings were decent, but if you've had some of the better dumpling shops in Vancouver or Toronto, then you would probably be disappointed here. Don't get me wrong...definitely solid dumplings, but we were expecting a little more. The wrapping is nice and thin, but taste was lacking in the filling. Also, small complaint, but the soy sauce and vinegar tasted like they were watered down. Service is about what you'd expect and the restaurant itself is clean and bright. Tip: this place is cash only, so come prepared. They have an ATM in the foyer but you're going to pay a hefty service charge.
google avatar

Leung Y.

Yelp
It is a very nice place. Bright and modern ambience. Staff speaks both English and Mandarin. OK service. They are attentive and even point out to other people ordering take out they can order a mix of two favors. The dumplings are eatable. Why the low score, these dumplings might be awesome in Montreal standard. The ingredients is fresh and they put effort to put that shrimp in so it looks like it worth it. But afterall it is mostly appearance. The flavour is blend. If you order chive dumplings, you expect that strong herb flavour that will disgust your love ones for the rest of the night. There is no chive flavour. It is worse than the Beijing dumplings in Toronto downtown which has been closed down. Imagine the food is not as good as a closed down restaurant... Also the skin of the wrappers, I cannot put the finger on it but it is mushy. Not like any decent dumplings I have. I did finish the order with the help of vinegar (and I am not a vinegar person). P.S. cash only
google avatar

Justine S.

Yelp
Can't believe I forgot to rate this place! I've been coming here for ages and it's still one of my favourite dumpling places in Montreal. They make the best lamb and celery dumplings ever, fried and boiled. Service at this location is very slow though and the demand is constant so on busy days expect to wait maximum an hour. It's crazy but sometimes the dumpling craving is too strong. The upside is if this place is full you are already in Chinatown so you can go to another dumpling place. Cash Only.
google avatar

Grace Y.

Yelp
The other reviewers were right! This place is the bomb! Where else can you get curry flavored dumplings? We got ours fried but next time I'll try them a different way. We also got the beef with cilantro which was just ok and the leek shrimp and egg steamed dumpling. That was by far the best one. There's only one server doing just about everything. She's quite amazing holding down the fort with a steady flow of customers coming in. I would hire her in my restaurant if I owned one. The place is clean for a busy asian restaurant. Have a little patient since the food comes out slow but it's worth it. Need a dumpling fix? This place is the place to be.
google avatar

Eden L.

Yelp
I have been here regularly for several years. Last two visit were really disappointing. The meat was not in good quality. Some chewy bit in the filling seem like tendon. A lot of soup in the dumplings which is not good sign for freshness.
google avatar

Andrew A.

Yelp
Good dim sum, place was very small and service was good. However, at one point food just came to the table we didn't order. However. I would def go back for Dimsum

Rolf A.

Yelp
Yes, it's a hole in the wall, but the dumplings are amazing. At the staff's recommendation I had the chef's choice and all the different varieties were very good.
google avatar

David S.

Yelp
I've tried several dumpling spots in Chinatown, and this is the worst in terms of taste, cleanliness, and service.
google avatar

Jody W.

Yelp
Did someone say dumplings? Shall I admit that a lot of our time was spent in Chinatown during this visit to Montreal? I love dumplings. I'm a dumpling fanatic. Always have been. So, we grabbed 2 orders of dumplings here today: the boiled pork variety and the steamed shrimp, leek and egg style. Both were fabulous. We thought were also going to order soup dumplings, but they don't have them here. Want those slurp-able dumplings? Go next door to Bon Maison...same owners...different dumplings. We figured if we didn't overdo the first round that we could stop by and grab soup dumplings later in the day. Which is exactly what we did. Stand by for that review, too. When we arrived, the place was packed...only one table available pour deux. Parfait!! (Sorry...practicing mon Français). Complimentary tea is provided by the only (seulement) girl (fille) working the whole place. She manages to keep things going...juggling waiting tables, bussing and seating hungry humans. A couple of tips: -cash only. First hint? Cash machine jammed into the already small entrance -don't wait for her to bring the check...just go to the counter and pay (cash) there Overall, a good pick for dumplings.

Yelp
I love a good, classic, simple boiled dumpling. And Mai Xiang Yuan makes those. The throughput of the kitchen is fantastic, and it makes sure your dumpling filling hasn't been sitting around. That's great. What I don't quite understand is all the love for this place. It's solid. No doubt. But there's nothing here that is quite deserving of all the adulation. When we arrived for dinner, there was a wait to get a table. Other places in Chinatown had no wait. Unless you have your heart set on boiled dumplings, there's really no reason to wait on these. Of course, waiting does help to heighten the anticipation. And you may be hungrier when you finally sit down. Both of those things can work together to make food taste especially good. Maybe that's what is going on at this modest dumpling parlor. Definitely worth a stop. Probably not quite worth the wait. If you see a line, I'd suggest heading down the street for a bowl of noodles first. Then meander back for a second course of dumplings. Then stroll down the main drag and pick up a small sweet for dessert.

Yelp
Came by here on my trip to Montreal and saw that they had highly rated dumplings. It was a busy day with a fairly busy restaurant so you could tell they were definitely popular. We were seated after a short wait and given our menus. They had a lot of options but my friend and I decided to try out their boiled pork and chinese cabbage dumplings and the pan fried beef and onion curry. Our food came out after a bit of a wait but it was definitely worth it. It wasnt anything astounding but definitely very well made dumplings with plenty of flavor and care. Id definitely swing by here if you get a chance, especially if you enjoy dumplings! :)
google avatar

Yelp
Words cannot describe how amazing the dumplings are here. Chinatown in Montreal is huge, and there are so many places that offer dumplings/dim sum. Do yourself a favor and only go here. The dumplings are so good. I had the pork, shrimp, and cilantro, and it was perfect. All plates are made to order, so don't expect to get your food immediately. You know the dumplings are good when you see a chinese grandma putting her heart and soul into making these dumplings in the back. One order will not be enough!! Order more!! I do however, prefer the steamed dumplings over the fried. Each meal comes with hot tea, just perfect during cold weather.

Rabbiya A.

Yelp
We were in the area and came across this place. Decided to go in for some dumplings. The dumplings were good and basic but nothing out of the ordinary. The sauce was alright as well. Considering the area has so many more places with the same kind of food, I would recommend more research and trying some other place! P.s. They don't take cards and their ATM was out of order. So you will need to go around the corner to get some cash out to pay the bill.

Yelp
Eeeeeeh, dumplings are ok. Locals love this place though. We arrived just before a dinner rush and the place was packed. Got the crab and pork soup dumpling and fried pork + mushroom + shrimp dumpling. The soup dumplings were good, love how the flavour was bursting with crab juice and meat. But the fried dumplings literally tasted like the dumplings I make at home late at night--fried out of the freezer. Still good but never worth waiting in line or even stepping out of your home for. I'm sure the dumplings weren't literally frozen since there are grandmas making it in the back but for the quality, I don't understand the popularity at all. As we were eating, my partner and I were talking about how spoiled we are for dumplings in Vancouver. Got a bowl of wonton soup and sweet and sour soup as well. The wonton soup broth was quite light (which I actually quite like sometimes) and the wontons were standard. Sweet and sour soup was also ok, not fantastic. If you want dumplings with crab in them and there's no wait, this is a good spot. A good alternative is to buy dumplings from a local shop and just fry or steam them up yourself tbh.

Yelp
Mai Xiang Yuan doesn't look like much when you pass by but I guarantee your belly will be leaving happy as ever after eating their yummy dumplings. I recommend coming here on a empty stomach since the dumplings are very filling and you can't help to order different ones.

Yelp
A cute lil place of dumpling heaven!!! Drinks : Sapporo, Tsing Tao and soft drinks Appetizers: We tried 3 different salads and they were all so unique with great flavor. Cucumber, leek with peanuts, carrot and cabbage with egg. Food : They have an amazing selection of dumplings. 15 dumplings per plate and you can ask for half & half. We tried steamed lamb dumplings, pork with shrimp dumplings and beef curry dumplings. The beef curry was awesome and my personal favorite. The soy sauce mixed with the chilli oil is a great accompaniment for the dumplings. Service : Fast and friendly. Ambience : Not a fancy restaurant. A tiny hole in the wall. Pricing : CAD 6.99 to 9.99 for a portion. That's pretty reasonable. Cash only restaurant . Will I return? : A definite yes. Highly recommend this place.

Yelp
Cozy spot in china town to get your dumpling fix. I ordered the #22, shrimp, egg and leek dumplings, fried. The hubby ordered the pork and leek dumplings fried as well as pork soup dumplings. Complimentary tea was served while we waited, it was nothing amazing. Had a couple sips and pushed it to the side. While your waiting, you can also experiment with creating your own dipping sauce for the dumplings as they have vinegar, soy sauce and chili oil on the table. I found the dumplings to be just OK, but the hubby loved his pork and leek dumplings. He tried a bite of mine and said there was something missing. Guess the pork dumplings are the way to go! I ended up pouring soy sauce and vinegar all over the dumplings to add more zing to it. I am glad I checked out this place, but wouldn't rush to go back.
