The Best Burgers in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Hours: Open from 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday, with extended hours until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Closes at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tacos Chiwas and Espiritu owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin continue their investment in downtown Mesa with Main Burgers, a colorful burger bar housed in a former Subway that held down the corner for more than 30 years. The menu is concise but thoughtful: three burgers, a hot dog, and a salad. The Chiwas burger channels its taco counterpart with layers of meaty richness from ham, roasted green chile, and caramelized onions. The Sonora brings heat with chiltepin and a costra de queso studded with bacon. Thick, semi-smashed patties anchor it all; crispy fries and briny pickle chips bring it home. In short, Main Burgers is family-friendly without being too tame — it has a steady crowd and music that still bumps. Must order: Chiwas Burger: beef patty, queso asadero, roasted green chile, caramelized onions, ham, house sauce, and lettuce on brioche." - McConnell Quinn

If you’re craving bold flavors and unbeatable value, look no further than this gem of a burger joint! Their Mexican-style burgers are absolutely incredible — juicy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings that pack a punch. Every bite is satisfying and unique, especially with the delicious house sauces and perfectly toasted buns. But it doesn’t stop there! Their cheese fries are the ultimate comfort food — gooey, crispy, and dangerously addictive. And the hot dogs? Easily some of the best I’ve had — loaded, flavorful, and cooked just right. They even offer a great salad which is surprisingly tasty and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and the food comes out fast and hot. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something on the go, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food at a great price! 🌟🌮🍔🌭🍟

Google
If your looking for a good, down to earth, not your franchise Burger Joint in Mesa, this is a stop for you. Been wanting to go here for a while. Its across from Gus's Fried Chicken. Quality fresh food and ingredients. Simple menu. Good pricing. Probably should get a double because I was expecting bigger. Quality cook on the burger. Friendly staff. Not a lot of sitting room. They have stuff on their burger you can't get at In and Out. Very good.

Google
6/26/25: Excellent burger. I ordered a single burger with no onions. It was delicious. Really cool place with friendly service. I definitely will be back with friends soon.

Google
So flavorful and amazing customer service. Each burger was perfectly cooked and the sauce options were to die for. We also shared the Sonoran hot dog as an appetizer and we all couldn’t stop raving about it. This place has perfectly executed the Mexican twist on burgers. I can’t wait to come back!

Google
Great burgers. Toppings including the bun were really good. We got classic burgers. One of our friends got the Chiwas burger and called it the best burger he had ever had. The fries were awesome. Worth coming back several times for sure. The owners also have a few nearby restaurants and each one is a 5/5. So glad to confirm that Main Burger is too.

Google
If you like Tacos Chiwas, you’re gonna love their new burger concept in Mesa! Stopped in here today for a late lunch and the burgers were melt in your mouth delicious. Solid crispy fries and a solid selection of drinks including Jarritos in the bottle. My only regret? That I don’t have more room in my stomach for more!

Google
Burgers were great if you like a smash-style. Good, standard fries. Counter worker was super friendly. Love what they did with the building too! I got the single classic, pictured. Burger was delish and hit the spot when craving a classic burger without all the unnecessary toppings and their house sauce was yum.

Google
Delicious bacon cheeseburger with a nicely seasoned patty and crispy bacon chunks, solid first bite but after I could sense it was a bit dry. I opted for there sauce on the side. Fries weren't super fresh and crispy more like lukewarm only retaining their warmth from under a heat lamp. Combo was priced right.

Yelp
Its okay, nothing special and definitely mot worth the price. You could get the same quality at McDonald's if they cooked there food longer.

Yelp
Downtown Mesa has a new burger spot and there serving up delicious, juicy burgers and crispy fries. Menu is simple and straight forward. You can't go wrong with any one of the burgers they offer. Great customer service, fresh quality food, cold A/C and plenty of seating indoors and out. Just an all around casual vibe.

Yelp
Went to Main Burger shortly after it opened up in downtown Mesa. There was a ton of hype around it so I had to check it out. It's a cool little spot, inside vibes are very much like an old time burger diner, which I loved. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got the Double Chiwas (roasted green chile) burger. It was pretty good! It was definitely worth a try but not a jaw dropping experience. Scale of 1 - 10, I'd go back but not going out of my way to make it happen.

Yelp
We drove past this burger joint a few months ago and were passing buy and decide to give them a try. There was nooooo one in there when we went in.m, but we have drove by when it's packed. I'll start by saying $19 for a double combo is a reach. We ordered 1 Sonora (they said it's the most popular) and the original. yall it's not worth it. The hamburger was buttery, it was soft and had a melting texture. Aside from that there wasn't much flavor. The fries were decent, but once they got cold it they were hard. Honestly in n out is better especially for the price. ‍ With there not being busy at all every table has crumbs and food on them. I had to clean our own table before we sat down. Customers service wasn't too welcoming or helpful. Personally there wasn't anything that left our taste buds screaming.

Yelp
5 stars ! I got the Single Burger combo Sonoran Style ! Burger and fries were DELICIOUS! This place is now in my top 2 burgers I've ever had and this for me was #1 in Arizona ! And reasonably priced !!! Do not sleep on this establishment! Customer service was 5 stars as well ! Good job Main Burger !!!

Yelp
Wanted a quick but quality burger. Found this place and decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. It has a relaxing diner vibe. I decided to order the single Sonora burger combo and added pickles. Yummy! Overall I must say: Portions were just enough. Ingredients were flavorful. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
I am glad we finally made it out here. I had a tough day after work last week, and my husband ended up not making dinner so we got some burgers! They have their own parking lot, but right behind them is public and free parking with many more spaces. The inside is a little small, but there is a plenty of seating outside. They make everything to order, so you can smell the grill once the order goes in. We ordered the Classic burger, single patty, the hotdog, and a cheesecake. The classic burger was pretty good - loved their pickles! Next time, we will try the other burger styles as it might give us the little oomph we were hoping for. The hotdog though was TOP TIER. It came with beans, cojita, chilies - it was just a dream. This was a great spot to try out, and the aesthetic was pretty cute too!

Yelp
Went for Wing Wednesdays. The banana mole habanero wings were unreal. I also ordered their Sonora burger and it was tasty as well. Lots of outdoor seating. Prices pretty well with options for both single and double patties. Service was fast casual.

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner and it stayed busy the whole time we were there. We were helped a few mins after we arrived and the cashier was friendly. I ordered a plain double cheeseburger combo with toppings on side and my sister had a double Chiwas burger. We sat outside on the patio and the cashier brought us our food. The burgers came out hot and smelled delicious. My cheeseburger was good. The meat was cooked well, juicy, and had a lot of flavor. The chiwas burger was really messy and the bread quikcly became very soggy and it fell apart after a few bites. The flavor was good though. In total paid $43 for two burgers, one drink, and order of fries.

Yelp
Finally went to check out Main Burgers on a Sunday afternoon. It was a lil busy, but since this place has opened it has stayed busy. After checking out the menu I went with a Chiwas burger. It was an all beef patty, queso asadero, roasted green chili, grilled onions, ham, lettuce and house sauce. I also pairs it with cheese fries. I wanted to love this! It had everything I love. But unfortunately the burger was too salty for me to enjoy. Glad to see Main Burgers as an added addition to downtown Mesa.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
I had a double Chiwas burger and it was really good. It had a lot of flavor and the meat was cooked well. The burger was a good size but it got to be very soggy right away. The bread started to break and was mushy. Service was great. The cashier was friendly and even brought us our food outside. I would come again.

Yelp
New burger joint in DT Mesa, used to be the old Subway sandwich shop. This is an upgrade for sure but I really wanted to like it more. Came in wanting to give 5 stars. Starting with the positives- it's very cute now, it was quick, and food was decent. I ordered the Chiwas burger -- single patty. Shared some of my friend's fries. It Was good, but not great. I thought I would be wowed but I just wasn't. I am a self proclaimed burger lover, and so I enjoyed it but I thought given the new place, higher prices, and mention of award winning chef it would be one of the better burgers I've had. It wasn't. And the connection to tacos Chiwas set my expectations higher since I love them. I might give it another try next time I'm over in the area. Not opposed to it. I actually see this place as 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't do half stars (even though they should) and I don't want to down rate a new local place trying to get business going. So it's 4 stars with that in mind.
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
Found a new lunch spot! The burgers are awesome and so is the Sonoran hot dog. The bread on the items is just like butter..so dang good. The fries are also great. The guy working the register was welcoming and helpful. I will be back for sure when in downtown Mesa.
google avatar

Yelp
Caught some sunshine this weekend and stopped by Main Burgers with my spouse -- and wow, the Chiwas burger was the real MVP. I also tried the Sonora, which was solid, but that Chiwas? I'm already planning my next visit just for that one. The fries were crisped to perfection (the way fries should be), and the patio seating made it a great spot to chill and people-watch near the light rail. I wasn't blown away by the cheese sauce, but that's minor -- there's so much more I want to try from their menu. Service was quick and friendly, though I wouldn't have minded a little more energy from the staff. Still, overall vibe was chill and inviting. If you're in the area, this spot's definitely worth checking out. Bonus points for the bright pink baskets and that ice-cold Jarritos to wash it all down.

Yelp
A definite upgrade from the old Subway that was here previously! We stopped by one night just before a big crowd came in (lucky!) There is some parking in their lot, but not a lot. The menu is simple (basically, burgers, dogs, salad, fries and cheesecake) and ordering is easy. I got the burger, double, Chiwas style. That's the one with cheese, green chiles, ham, onions and more. It came out with the melting cheese slowly sliding down the side of the burger, telling me to eat it NOW. The patties were very flavorful and the combination was tasty--ham on a burger, who knew? The chiles that evening were not very spicy, but still good. Overall, the combination worked for me even though it was really messy. I shared a side of fries with my wife and it was plenty with the double burger. Service was fast and the place was clean.

Yelp
Our first visit to Main Burger was a wonderful experience. We went for dinner on a Saturday and were slightly worried that we wouldn't be able to get a table, but one table opened up right after we ordered. I really like how they redecorated the space. We enjoyed the music and the atmosphere is clean with tiled walls and pops of pink in the baskets and decor. We really enjoyed the food. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy. The cheese sauce I dipped my fries in had an excellent flavor but was a bit thin and didn't stick to the fries very well. This is a wonderful addition to the growing downtown Mesa food and beverage scene!

Yelp
We have made an attempt at eating at Main Burger a couple weeks ago, but there was such a long line and no seating because of the crowd that we decided to wait a couple weeks. It was still busy, but we didn't have trouble getting a table for four inside at around 5:30. It did look to be picking up a little with people having to sit outside by the time we left. I'm a huge fan of restaurants from the Chiwas group. I especially love Espiritu and Santo Arcadia (the birria dumplings are amazing!!!). I've had the burger at Espiritu, and thought it was fantastic. I kind of had the same hopes for Main Burger. There's not much to the interior. White walls and a counter to order at, some basic tables and chairs. There is a pretty cool neon piece on the wall, and a painting of the main burger man on one wall. That's just about it - - cute enough but nothing special. I'm a little surprised at some of the reviews saying it's very instagrammable. Maybe I'm missing something? We ordered the Chiwas burger and the classic burger, both with fries. I wanted to be blown away by these burgers. They were fine. They were burgers. Again I'm kind of surprised at people saying these are mind-blowing burgers. There's nothing especially fantastic. They're just burgers with various toppings. They seemed to fall someplace between fast food burgers and full-service restaurant burgers. I didn't care for the fries. By the time I got them they were room temperature and kind of chewy. Don't get me wrong, I did not dislike this place. It was fine. I just can't help but wonder if people are jumping on the bandwagon and playing into the hype because of the talent that the Chiwas group is known for. People jump on these bandwagons all the time. I think that if this place opened and did not have their names attached to it, it might go unnoticed. Again, not bad, just not as fantastic as I keep hearing about. Will I be back? Probably - - I work in downtown Mesa and there isn't another place to get a burger downtown. Would I make a special trip to come here if I weren't in the area? Nope. I'll save my special trips for their other restaurants.

Yelp
This is something definitely worth trying if you get the chance. Oh t is quick and very full filling.

Yelp
Finally got to try this new burger spot in downtown Mesa. The place itself is cute, with a nice atmosphere, but the food was just okay. The burgers were decent--not bad, but nothing special. The fries were a bit too greasy for my taste, though the loaded fries were definitely better than the regular ones. Overall, it's not a bad option if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. If I happened to be driving past, I might grab it again, but it's not a must-visit spot for me.
google avatar

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Main Burgers and it sure lived up to its great reputation!! It was packed on a nice Saturday at 2:00! It's clean, great energy in there and loved the cute pink baskets they serve the burgers and fry's in!! If you're a burger lover, this is the place you need to try! Every bite is packed with bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and the perfect balance of textures. The Classic is exactly that-- a timeless favorite done right! The juicy all-beef patties, melted American cheese, crisp pickles, and rich caramelized onions come together beautifully with their signature house sauce, all on a soft brioche bun. The Sonora takes things up a notch with a crispy cheese crust (costra) that adds an irresistible crunch, plus smoky bacon and a spicy kick from chiltepin. It's a must-try for those who love a little heat! And then there's the Chiwas--a masterpiece of flavors. The rich queso asadero, fire-roasted green chiles, and a savory slice of ham make this burger unforgettable. It's a perfect fusion of flavors that will keep you coming back for more. No matter which one you choose, you can't go wrong. These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and absolutely crave-worthy! We got all three burgers and everyone loved theirs! I got to split the Sonora burger and the Chiwas burger both were AMAZING but my FAVORITE IS THE SONORA ONE JUST BECAUSE IT HAS MORE OF A SPICY KICK!! You won't be disappointed when you try this place out!
google avatar

Jon L.

Yelp
Very nice looking Burger place. Clean and bright inside. Great parking and location. Not convinced the burger is so good as to make it a usual thing for me. Rather smaller burger and fries for the price and going from a single to a double adds $5 bucks seems a little high to me. Service was fast. I like that they bring out your order to the table after counter Service.
google avatar

Aaron U.

Yelp
One of the Best burger spots in in the valley. Competes with Bad Jimmy's, Stoop kid, 5th street, etc. Really solid cook on the burgers and fries, great ingredients and flavor. You gotta understand that alot of the 3- star reviews are people who probably dont have a discerning taste, and can't necessarily fathom the difference between a gourmet burger and a fast food burger.
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Been waiting for this place to open as the notoriety of the chef has proven to to provide great food in the valley. The sonoran burger was good, bacon with finishing salt was a little too overpowering but they're still in soft opening and will probably get it fixed. The chiwas burger with the ham was a nice touch of flavor as the green chile added some slight heat. Fries were crispy! And they give you alot! Portion overall were good. Definitely glad to have another downtown Mesa restaurant that will soon become a staple forsure. The interior is nice and lots of seating but due to the popularity it's packed! Def would go back to try other menu items
google avatar

Michael F.

Yelp
Went back yesterday and tried the Sonoran double cheeseburger combo. Blew my face off. Out of this world! I'm telling you. It's so good, you'll be sad when the last bite is gone, but glad you got to experience it. I'd eat here more often if I could afford to. Good food ain't cheap! One side note. I was in there around 2 pm, after the lunch rush. And the soda station was a sticky mess. I hope these guys keep up on the house keeping.
google avatar

Ryler W.

Yelp
Me and the family tried it out finally! And it was worth the hype for sure, the buns were soft and the meat had so much flavor! The Sonoran burger was absolutely delicious I can not wait to try the other options they have! Juan was super nice and pointed us all in the right direction and the patio has a very nice vibe! Definitely a comeback place for us
google avatar

Matthew L.

Yelp
I typically don't care for Sonoran dogs because the quality of the hot dog is really bad. I noticed that on the menu they were using all beef hot dogs so I thought I give it a try. The guy at the front counter was really excited for me as when I ordered it. The roll was super fresh, and the hot dog was snappy and juicy. It was messy but they give you a roll of paper towels.
google avatar

Celia V.

Yelp
Came in tonight to see what all the fuss is about. Service was actually very quick considering it was a busy Friday evening. Inside had a few tables, and there was some patio space as well. The food was very delicious, but I do wish it was a bit bigger considering the price point. I got the classic single combo, and my bestie got the chiwas burger. She did mention loving the chiwas, although I did not get to fully try it . The classic was very tasty, really loved the sauce and the crunchy pickles. The only downside is that the bun seemed the get soggy very quickly, next time I will ask for an extra toasted bun to see if that helps. The fries were good, but really nothing to rave about. I'm not picky about fries, so they did the job. I would definitely come back next time I have a hankering for a burger in downtown Mesa.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
I'd wanted to try this new restaurant in downtown Mesa since it comes from the folks who created Tacos Chiwas. I had the classic burger single patty combo. I felt like the meat had really good seasoning and I liked the sauce, which made it a satisfying burger. Prices seem a little high - but if you make it a combo for $13 it's really not that much more than the fast food places. (And this is better quality, hands down.) My only complaint is that I could taste that "old oil" taste in the fries where they maybe should have changed the oil in the fryer. I'm not sure we'd make this a special destination but we'd definitely come back if we are in the area.

Todd G.

Yelp
I've been driving by this place for months wanting to check it out and I finally stopped in for lunch recently and got a burger for takeout.. Classic double combo ended up being over $20. I probably wouldn't get takeout again.. The office is 5 minutes away and by the time I got there and unwrapped, the bun was soaked through. They used quite a lot of sauce which was tasty, but a bit much so it ended up being a knife and fork deal. Aside from the sogginess, the burger was good. Fries were fine, but don't really stand out. Burgers are made to order and the quality of ingredients seemed high.. Burger was good, but not sure it was $20 good. If I go again, I may just get a burger, not a combo.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
I have given this place multiple chances and come to the conclusion that it is extremely average. Nothing stands out. I do not understand all the hype.
google avatar

Bailey L.

Yelp
I was so stoked for the newest Downtown Mesa addition, Main Burger. Taco Chiwas is one of m favorites, so to hear they were starting up another project down the street - say less! It was a welcomed upgrade from the previous rundown Subway for sure. The building and aesthetic itself is super cute. It's very bright, love the overall design and burgerman logo/mascot. Its a fast casual spot, with counter service, where they hand you a number and bring it out, just like their Taco Chiwas counterpart. Service is super friendly and they helped answer all our questions. They offer a great exterior patio and a decent amount of indoor seating. The menu itself is relatively simple featuring three burger options, a classic, a Sonora and the Chiwas, of course mexican flavor focused. You can get the burgers as a single, double with both having a combo option. The classic, is exactly what you would expect, the sonora is essentially like a sonoran dog, but on a burger - though they also do offer a sonoran dog option! The Chiwas is their Taco Chiwas taco staple, but on a burger, with pepper, asadero cheese, ham and other accoutrements. I went for the double chiwas burger combo, which is $19 dollars and includes a fountain drink and side of fries then added a side of spicy. ketchup. My husband got a single chiwas and a sonoran dog. Everything had great flavor. The patties themselves are quite thin, smashburger style, so I do not think I would ever get a single patty, as far as protein ratio goes. The fries were quite salty, good, I prefer a bit less saltiness. My husband loved his dog and his single burger, but agrees the double is the way to go. I did really enjoy it, a bit pricey for overall amount, but I suppose that's to be expected now in today's economy. Definitely worth a visit and will be returning o try some of their other offerings, including seasonal cheesecake or ice cream!

Yelp
Great burger joint in the heart of DTN Mesa. Limited options - 3 burgers and 1 hotdog. Fries available as well. Simple queue up and order up kind of joint. Lines were present, but moved quickly. I opted for the Sonora burger. Very tasty! Nicely thin, slightly salty, crusty patties. Bun was good as well. Fries were crispy, hot, and slightly salty. Loved it! Worth a trip. N*joy
google avatar

N. D.

Yelp
Came here on a whim and I am so glad we did. The burgers were fresh with incredible flavor. You could tell the cheese sauce was made fresh and was perfect or dipping fries. I got the Chiwas burger and my husband got the Sonora. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Found Main St. Burger an on IG Reel. So we decided we had to give it a try. The owner is a James Beard award winning Chef. If you're a foodie, like myself then you know! We walked in on a Sunday around 11:30. As we walked through the parking lot you could smell the deliciousness. We walked up to the counter, the cashier was nice. I ordered a Sonoran Double Combo, with a bacon wrapped hot dog. My wife got the single classic combo, with the spicy ketchup Service was fast, and the food came out and looked fantastic. The Burgers were so fresh and tasty. The Sonoran burger had a little heat, which was good. The spicy ketchup was the Bomb! The French fries are very good. Just like in & out, just a little thicker, which is a good thing. The Sonoran hot dog, was a little messy, but so flavorful. If you want a great burger, give this place a try. Definitely in my top 3 burgers in Arizona.
google avatar

Neal V.

Yelp
Everyone there seemed to like working there . Order was taken right away and Food came out quickly. The double burger was messy but tasted great. I had it Sonoran style. The bacon on this burger is very unique They offer spicy mayo for 50¢ and it is definitely not worth it. Not only was it not spicy it just tasted like rancid ketchup. Now having a great burger can be ruined by one thing, not great fries. The French fries were definitely not up to par. Not only were they not piping hot but most of them were little pieces less than an inch. The bad spicy ketchup may have made it even worse. Come for the burger and if they improve the fries and just get rid of the spicy ketchup this place can be a hit.

Yelp
We stopped by Main Burger last week after my daughter's game. The week before, we tried to come but faced a one-hour wait. This time, we got there before 7 PM and had no wait at all--we were able to order right away. No complaints here! It's definitely on the pricier side, but I love what they're building in downtown Mesa. It's more than just a burger spot--it's a place that brings the community together over some seriously juicy cheeseburgers and hotdogs. I'd highly recommend giving it a try, especially if you're looking for a solid date night spot. With local breweries lining the strip, you can easily make a night of it.
google avatar

Yelp
Tried out this cute place tonight conveniently located right on Main with parking behind the restaurant. Menu is limited but that's ok. They focus on burgers and they are done great. Seating is limited inside due to their popularity but we found a table just in time. Young man delivering orders to the tables and clearing plates. We had the classic burgers and the only thing we would want would be tomatoes. . We also order the cheese fries that come with bacon and chilis. Yum! Don't pass this place up. Sooo good. We will be back.
google avatar

Bridget H.

Yelp
Cute, Instagramable spot! It's a solid burger. I had the Chiwas and my bf had the Sonora. The Chiwas was better in my opinion (more of a personal preference as this one has green chili which I really like). However, the Sonora was overly salty. My BF had the hotdog as well which was overly salty. The fries were made perfect though. Overall, I'd go back. The service is friendly and quick. It's worth a stop if you're in the area.
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
Very very tasty burgers. I had the Chiwas(single) and the Sonora(double). Very flavorful and very juicy. The fries were good too and well seasoned. I also got the cheesecake and it was delicious. Unfortunately, it's a bit expensive. I ended up spending 40$ with tax on a double burger combo(19$), a single burger(9$), and a cheesecake(10$). While the cheesecake was good, it's not 10$ good. It was worth checking out, but there are some other good local burger places with better prices and just as tasty.

Yelp
When I heard that the owners of Espiritu were opening up a burger shop, I knew we had to try it. My wife and I arrived for the soft launch, the grand opening and a few times after that. My go to is the Chiwas burger and my wife is a fan of the classic. You cannot go wrong with any of the burgers on the menu. Their burgers are very tasty and have distinct flavors from one another. They offer bottle sodas and have fountain drinks as well. I'm a big french fry guy, and if I have one complaint, it's that they only offer one size. Maybe they'll read this review and offer a larger size for the big boned customers, like me. Every time we've gone in to order, the lines are pretty long, but do not let it fool you. They move pretty fast and they have everything down to a science by now. If you're pressed for time or want a delicious burger, give Main Burger a shot. You'll be happy that you did.

Leila M B.

Yelp
A friend introduced us to Main Burger and I have to admit, it is my personal favorite burger joint. Friendly people, delicious food. It's a win-win!
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
A nice quaint family owned burger joint, service was fair- nothing spectacular, but the orders were correct and promptly prepared. Seating was adequate, unfortunately several tables were in need of wiping down. The meal was good and well portioned ( a few members of the family had leftovers but most didn't and felt full). My children really enjoyed the "Red Barqs" soda.

Yelp
We are two burgers. One order fries. Cheesecake. No pics as we hunkered down quickly! I had the Sonoran burger DOUBLE patty (ohhh yeah!!!) sans the onions. Awesome burger. Crispy edges. Moist. Flavor up the ying yang - so enjoy that extra punch only the owners of the taco shop dare give us. Bun was nice. 10 stars on that burger seasoning. That little tiny powerhouse pepper...dang it always gets me ...was a bit much for me, but I ate it all. I always try it the chefs way first. It's a reorder the same for me again ...just no c-pepper - lol. Husband liked the regular burger. He wanted to judge only the beef and he smokes. Fries were awesome so enjoy that old fashioned crisp texture and bite most people enjoy. We consumed a caramel cheesecake Mexican style - filling and satisfying but don't expect your New York style. It was a Friday night. Music streaming softly an easy going jazzy vibe...people chatting. I'll be back for a Sonoran dog. The border from Yuma to Tucson has been my home and I cut my adult teeth on Sonoran food all my life. The owners nailed MAIN BURGER ... come try it.

Yelp
Went and finally checked out main burgers and I was a little disappointing. Overall, still good but it was messy AF. I got the double and the house sauce was like soup and make my bun fall apart and hard to eat. Yes, it was still good but I don't like messy burgers. I want it to maintain integrity so I can enjoy it, especially for $25 (burger, drink, and fries)

Yelp
Finally got to try this new burger place on a Friday night and the Chiwas Burger hit the spot! I wish I had a bigger appetite to try something else but I will be going back in the near future. I see a few post regarding the music so maybe the restaurant changed it up because I felt like the vibes were great and could enjoy my meal with the tunes being played. Staff was very polite as well when ordering and explaining the menu to us.

Yelp
Husband and I had the single classic meal. Burgers were absolutely delicious! Fries were perfect! Restaurant was clean and had a nice classic diner atmosphere. Owner made sure we were happy with our meals. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
I've waited a bit since the opening week to try Main Burger. The place was busy and there was a little bit of a wait for food. The staff was great though and handled the crowd well. The remodel looks great and love having patio seating for people watching. The vibe is very lively, especially on the weekend. I was in the mood for a Sonoran dog so I got the hot dog combo. Fries were decent and the dog was just okay. I wish there was a little more spice. I may go back to try a burger but for Sonoran dogs, Mickey's will still be my go to place nearby.
