The Best Burgers in Phoenix, Arizona | Eater Phoenix

"Hours: Open from 11 a.m. Monday through Thursday and Sunday, with extended hours until 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. Closes at 4 p.m. on Sunday. Tacos Chiwas and Espiritu owners Armando Hernandez and Nadia Holguin continue their investment in downtown Mesa with Main Burgers, a colorful burger bar housed in a former Subway that held down the corner for more than 30 years. The menu is concise but thoughtful: three burgers, a hot dog, and a salad. The Chiwas burger channels its taco counterpart with layers of meaty richness from ham, roasted green chile, and caramelized onions. The Sonora brings heat with chiltepin and a costra de queso studded with bacon. Thick, semi-smashed patties anchor it all; crispy fries and briny pickle chips bring it home. In short, Main Burgers is family-friendly without being too tame — it has a steady crowd and music that still bumps. Must order: Chiwas Burger: beef patty, queso asadero, roasted green chile, caramelized onions, ham, house sauce, and lettuce on brioche." - McConnell Quinn

The Latest Restaurant Openings to Know in Phoenix, February 2025 | Eater Phoenix

"The latest from the Chiwas restaurant group — led by James Beard semi-finalists Roberto Centeno, Nadia Holguin, and Armando Hernandez — turns a long-running Mesa Subway into a retro burger joint. The black, white, and pink space is more family-friendly than their other spots, serving a small menu of burgers, fries, and desserts. Standouts include the Chiwas Burger, which stacks queso asadero, roasted green chile, caramelized onions, and ham, and the Sonora Burger, which brings chiltepín heat and a crispy cheese costra." - McConnell Quinn

This was a really good burger. I didn’t get the classic cheeseburger, but one that had fried cheese. I don’t remember what it was called. I wish I would’ve gotten the double cheeseburger, because the patty was small. The fries weren’t anything to write home about. I did like the fact that they had red cream soda at the fountain. The best part of this place was the amazing customer service. The guy really knew his stuff and gave some great recommendations. Would I go again? Probably. I just wanted a little more bang for my buck.

Google
The staff here are so friendly. Its an "order then sit down" type of place, but they came to check on us a couple times to make sure we were enjoying our meals. I got the burger with the green chile and it was delicious. They so have the fresh cut fries that taste so much better than the generic frozen ones. Ask for "extra crispy" fries if you like them crispy. They got a little soft after a few minutes, but they were still tasty!

Google
Absolutely loved this place!! My friend just moved to downtown Mesa and had to try this Hidden Gem. They did not disappoint in anyway. The food came out quickly and delicious. A nice gentleman (assuming he was the owner) was walking around asking how everyone enjoyed their food. Will come again

Google
I really enjoyed the food here, the burger itself actually reminded me a lot of Five Guys, which is a compliment. The space is much different though; the building is really nice and I absolutely loved the neon lights. It was a little on the expensive side, but because it was delicious, I will definitely be back.

Google
Downtown Mesa has a new burger spot and there serving up delicious, juicy burgers and crispy fries. Menu is simple and straight forward. You can't go wrong with any one of the burgers they offer. Great customer service, fresh quality food, cold A/C and plenty of seating indoors and out. Just an all around casual vibe.

Google
Can't wait to go back! We had single combos and that was a good portion size. Red cream soda on tap!!! Sonora burger will be my go to. Chiwas burger was good too. Fries are medium cut, skin on. Cooked and salted well. Friendly counter service. Clean and has its own parking lot. Will go back for sure! Happy to see Mesa getting good eateries downtown.

Google
If you’re craving bold flavors and unbeatable value, look no further than this gem of a burger joint! Their Mexican-style burgers are absolutely incredible — juicy, flavorful, and loaded with fresh toppings that pack a punch. Every bite is satisfying and unique, especially with the delicious house sauces and perfectly toasted buns. But it doesn’t stop there! Their cheese fries are the ultimate comfort food — gooey, crispy, and dangerously addictive. And the hot dogs? Easily some of the best I’ve had — loaded, flavorful, and cooked just right. They even offer a great salad which is surprisingly tasty and full of flavor. The portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, and the food comes out fast and hot. Whether you’re dining in or grabbing something on the go, this place delivers every time. Highly recommended for anyone who loves great food at a great price! 🌟🌮🍔🌭🍟

Google
On a late night drive stumbled across this place and immediately pulled in. I don’t say this often but the burger was better than in n out. Only thang is the price is a lil hefty. 32 dollars and some change for no drinks no sides just two double burgers. It was worth it this time but I don’t think I’d be stoppin by too often. Occasional treat for sure 🔥

Yelp
This spot is a great go to for a quick bite, especially when you want something easy but still really good. We love coming here for a quick dinner, and the food never disappoints. You can tell the owners know what they're doing. They also own several well known restaurants in the area, and that experience shows in the quality and flavor. The burgers are elevated with Southwest and Mexican inspired ingredients that make them stand out from your typical burger joint. They also offer wings and salads, so there's something for everyone. Everything we've tried has been fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. Definitely a solid option when you want a fast, delicious meal without sacrificing quality. We were so hungry I ate without taking a picture! Guess we need to come back

Yelp
We were in the area for an event and when I saw a joyful burger mascot I knew it was go time. WOW wow wow, first they were busy, but the service was amazing. The order taker knew the food, made recommendations, and even brought us our food. The big draw is green chilis. I love me some green chilis and woohoo. Their burger chiwas and breakfast burger were both amazing, juicy, spicy, and cooked to perfection. Their fries were crisp even with the cheese on top which was a big win. I want to come back and try their other options. Nice little burger joint vibe, great place to eat while in downtown Mesa

Yelp
Everything was delicious. Burger was good, had a smokey taste to it. Fries were perfect. A+

Yelp
Not gonna lie, I had to come here two days in a row to give a solid opinion. The first day I got a classic double and it had caramelized onions on it. Now, I truly think it's a sin to put caramelized onions On a classic unless you're at a White Castle but that's me. Day two, I ask for raw onions and they were more than happy to make it that way. They literally cook this on a grill right in front of you so you know it's done exactly right. The patty is perfectly salted and fried by a master grill man. This is a burger to champion fat and drunk people. Do you want to call me a liar? There is literally a brewery right across the street... test me bitch!!! Also, not to mention... they also serve Cider Corps beer if you are lazy!!! This is a perfect sober day burger or a drunk evening burger. Highly recommend...

Yelp
Was in Mesa for a conference and stepped out for lunch. Looked up a few different places and ended up here at main burger! The menu is very simple which is nice because you don't have a million decisions to make. The service was great and despite being busy, they were really prompt on every order placed. The burger was very smash burger style but with house sauce and sautéed onions, it was the perfect amount of crispy and moist. The flavors were on point. The fries were hand cut style and crispy which I love but a few were just a tad too hard. Soft drinks and free refills really made this place shine. It is a tiny place so if you go right at lunch time you might wait for a table. Would definitely come back here again. Happy to have stumbled across this place!

Yelp
We had a 10/10 experience at Main Burger today. I had a classic burger combo. The fries were hot and crispy. The burger was delicious. We also had a hot dog kids meal and the hot dog was great as well. The man at the register was friendly and helpful and the overall vibes were great. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
Went to Main Burger shortly after it opened up in downtown Mesa. There was a ton of hype around it so I had to check it out. It's a cool little spot, inside vibes are very much like an old time burger diner, which I loved. The staff were friendly and helpful. I got the Double Chiwas (roasted green chile) burger. It was pretty good! It was definitely worth a try but not a jaw dropping experience. Scale of 1 - 10, I'd go back but not going out of my way to make it happen.

Yelp
Nostalgic filled, old school burger joint where the point is not to overwhelm with options, but to deliver masterpiece! Three burger options or a hotdog designed and cooked to perfection. Brought to you by the James Beard Award Winner, Tacos Chiwas. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I am glad we finally made it out here. I had a tough day after work last week, and my husband ended up not making dinner so we got some burgers! They have their own parking lot, but right behind them is public and free parking with many more spaces. The inside is a little small, but there is a plenty of seating outside. They make everything to order, so you can smell the grill once the order goes in. We ordered the Classic burger, single patty, the hotdog, and a cheesecake. The classic burger was pretty good - loved their pickles! Next time, we will try the other burger styles as it might give us the little oomph we were hoping for. The hotdog though was TOP TIER. It came with beans, cojita, chilies - it was just a dream. This was a great spot to try out, and the aesthetic was pretty cute too!

Yelp
Stopped by for dinner and it stayed busy the whole time we were there. We were helped a few mins after we arrived and the cashier was friendly. I ordered a plain double cheeseburger combo with toppings on side and my sister had a double Chiwas burger. We sat outside on the patio and the cashier brought us our food. The burgers came out hot and smelled delicious. My cheeseburger was good. The meat was cooked well, juicy, and had a lot of flavor. The chiwas burger was really messy and the bread quikcly became very soggy and it fell apart after a few bites. The flavor was good though. In total paid $43 for two burgers, one drink, and order of fries.

Yelp
New burger joint in DT Mesa, used to be the old Subway sandwich shop. This is an upgrade for sure but I really wanted to like it more. Came in wanting to give 5 stars. Starting with the positives- it's very cute now, it was quick, and food was decent. I ordered the Chiwas burger -- single patty. Shared some of my friend's fries. It Was good, but not great. I thought I would be wowed but I just wasn't. I am a self proclaimed burger lover, and so I enjoyed it but I thought given the new place, higher prices, and mention of award winning chef it would be one of the better burgers I've had. It wasn't. And the connection to tacos Chiwas set my expectations higher since I love them. I might give it another try next time I'm over in the area. Not opposed to it. I actually see this place as 3.5/5 but Yelp doesn't do half stars (even though they should) and I don't want to down rate a new local place trying to get business going. So it's 4 stars with that in mind.
google avatar

Tammy M.

Yelp
I had a double Chiwas burger and it was really good. It had a lot of flavor and the meat was cooked well. The burger was a good size but it got to be very soggy right away. The bread started to break and was mushy. Service was great. The cashier was friendly and even brought us our food outside. I would come again.

Yelp
A definite upgrade from the old Subway that was here previously! We stopped by one night just before a big crowd came in (lucky!) There is some parking in their lot, but not a lot. The menu is simple (basically, burgers, dogs, salad, fries and cheesecake) and ordering is easy. I got the burger, double, Chiwas style. That's the one with cheese, green chiles, ham, onions and more. It came out with the melting cheese slowly sliding down the side of the burger, telling me to eat it NOW. The patties were very flavorful and the combination was tasty--ham on a burger, who knew? The chiles that evening were not very spicy, but still good. Overall, the combination worked for me even though it was really messy. I shared a side of fries with my wife and it was plenty with the double burger. Service was fast and the place was clean.

Yelp
1st visit. Wife got Sonoran burger with fries and I got Sonoran Hot Dog. Both were excellent. Fries were good. I also had a Pineapple Aqua Fresca which was wonderful! We will be back and soon!

Yelp
Wanted a quick but quality burger. Found this place and decided to give it a try and was not disappointed. It has a relaxing diner vibe. I decided to order the single Sonora burger combo and added pickles. Yummy! Overall I must say: Portions were just enough. Ingredients were flavorful. Service was quick and friendly.

Yelp
Just tried this new place. They have a limited menu, 3 burger types and 2 hot dogs. I got the Chiwas that has sautéd onions and green chilies and a queso. It falls apart as you eat it so caution. The flavors are great! The fries are good but I've had better. Combos are $13 with Coke products in the fountain. It's on Main Street in a renovated Subway. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Good new place.

Yelp
Finally got to try this new burger spot in downtown Mesa. The place itself is cute, with a nice atmosphere, but the food was just okay. The burgers were decent--not bad, but nothing special. The fries were a bit too greasy for my taste, though the loaded fries were definitely better than the regular ones. Overall, it's not a bad option if you're in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here. If I happened to be driving past, I might grab it again, but it's not a must-visit spot for me.

Yelp
Our first visit to Main Burger was a wonderful experience. We went for dinner on a Saturday and were slightly worried that we wouldn't be able to get a table, but one table opened up right after we ordered. I really like how they redecorated the space. We enjoyed the music and the atmosphere is clean with tiled walls and pops of pink in the baskets and decor. We really enjoyed the food. The burgers were juicy and flavorful. The fries were hot and crispy. The cheese sauce I dipped my fries in had an excellent flavor but was a bit thin and didn't stick to the fries very well. This is a wonderful addition to the growing downtown Mesa food and beverage scene!

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Main Burgers and it sure lived up to its great reputation!! It was packed on a nice Saturday at 2:00! It's clean, great energy in there and loved the cute pink baskets they serve the burgers and fry's in!! If you're a burger lover, this is the place you need to try! Every bite is packed with bold flavors, high-quality ingredients, and the perfect balance of textures. The Classic is exactly that-- a timeless favorite done right! The juicy all-beef patties, melted American cheese, crisp pickles, and rich caramelized onions come together beautifully with their signature house sauce, all on a soft brioche bun. The Sonora takes things up a notch with a crispy cheese crust (costra) that adds an irresistible crunch, plus smoky bacon and a spicy kick from chiltepin. It's a must-try for those who love a little heat! And then there's the Chiwas--a masterpiece of flavors. The rich queso asadero, fire-roasted green chiles, and a savory slice of ham make this burger unforgettable. It's a perfect fusion of flavors that will keep you coming back for more. No matter which one you choose, you can't go wrong. These burgers are juicy, flavorful, and absolutely crave-worthy! We got all three burgers and everyone loved theirs! I got to split the Sonora burger and the Chiwas burger both were AMAZING but my FAVORITE IS THE SONORA ONE JUST BECAUSE IT HAS MORE OF A SPICY KICK!! You won't be disappointed when you try this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
Very nice looking Burger place. Clean and bright inside. Great parking and location. Not convinced the burger is so good as to make it a usual thing for me. Rather smaller burger and fries for the price and going from a single to a double adds $5 bucks seems a little high to me. Service was fast. I like that they bring out your order to the table after counter Service.

Yelp
5 stars ! I got the Single Burger combo Sonoran Style ! Burger and fries were DELICIOUS! This place is now in my top 2 burgers I've ever had and this for me was #1 in Arizona ! And reasonably priced !!! Do not sleep on this establishment! Customer service was 5 stars as well ! Good job Main Burger !!!
google avatar

Alex L.

Yelp
Been waiting for this place to open as the notoriety of the chef has proven to to provide great food in the valley. The sonoran burger was good, bacon with finishing salt was a little too overpowering but they're still in soft opening and will probably get it fixed. The chiwas burger with the ham was a nice touch of flavor as the green chile added some slight heat. Fries were crispy! And they give you alot! Portion overall were good. Definitely glad to have another downtown Mesa restaurant that will soon become a staple forsure. The interior is nice and lots of seating but due to the popularity it's packed! Def would go back to try other menu items
google avatar

Yelp
Great local burger joint. I go here a lot and every order has been delicious. If your in the area looking for burger or new burger joint, this is the place. A+ all around

Yelp
Delicious burgers! Great customer service and great prices. Dessert includes fabulous cheesecake and soft serve, homemade! Highly recommend this place 10/10

Yelp
Went here several months ago, but it was on a Sunday and they close at 4. Guess what time i got there? Yup, 4. Got around to getting back there a couple days ago and, why did I wait so long! The buger was awesome! Very short menu so I went all out and ordered the double Chiwas burger. 2 charred patties that were some of the most flavorful I've had in a long time! Caramelized onions, cheese, green chillies, ham slice, sauce, pickles and lettuce . It was a big, beautiful, messy, tasty burger! I will definitely be back! The place is bright, clean and cheerful. Lively Mexican music playing and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. There's outdoor seating under umbrellas. Tables were clean and so was the floor. No complaints from me!
google avatar

Monica O.

Yelp
Finally went to check out Main Burgers on a Sunday afternoon. It was a lil busy, but since this place has opened it has stayed busy. After checking out the menu I went with a Chiwas burger. It was an all beef patty, queso asadero, roasted green chili, grilled onions, ham, lettuce and house sauce. I also pairs it with cheese fries. I wanted to love this! It had everything I love. But unfortunately the burger was too salty for me to enjoy. Glad to see Main Burgers as an added addition to downtown Mesa.
google avatar

Meg M.

Yelp
This is a place that shows you can do something well with a twist and be extremely successful instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Although it can get pricy it is always worth it. Their quality and quantity does equate. The cheese fries are a favorite. The Horchata quite decent. And the classic burger... impeccable. I highly recommend this place everytime someone asks for a good local place.

Yelp
Caught some sunshine this weekend and stopped by Main Burgers with my spouse -- and wow, the Chiwas burger was the real MVP. I also tried the Sonora, which was solid, but that Chiwas? I'm already planning my next visit just for that one. The fries were crisped to perfection (the way fries should be), and the patio seating made it a great spot to chill and people-watch near the light rail. I wasn't blown away by the cheese sauce, but that's minor -- there's so much more I want to try from their menu. Service was quick and friendly, though I wouldn't have minded a little more energy from the staff. Still, overall vibe was chill and inviting. If you're in the area, this spot's definitely worth checking out. Bonus points for the bright pink baskets and that ice-cold Jarritos to wash it all down.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
I'd wanted to try this new restaurant in downtown Mesa since it comes from the folks who created Tacos Chiwas. I had the classic burger single patty combo. I felt like the meat had really good seasoning and I liked the sauce, which made it a satisfying burger. Prices seem a little high - but if you make it a combo for $13 it's really not that much more than the fast food places. (And this is better quality, hands down.) My only complaint is that I could taste that "old oil" taste in the fries where they maybe should have changed the oil in the fryer. I'm not sure we'd make this a special destination but we'd definitely come back if we are in the area.
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
Great burger joint in the heart of DTN Mesa. Limited options - 3 burgers and 1 hotdog. Fries available as well. Simple queue up and order up kind of joint. Lines were present, but moved quickly. I opted for the Sonora burger. Very tasty! Nicely thin, slightly salty, crusty patties. Bun was good as well. Fries were crispy, hot, and slightly salty. Loved it! Worth a trip. N*joy

Yelp
We have made an attempt at eating at Main Burger a couple weeks ago, but there was such a long line and no seating because of the crowd that we decided to wait a couple weeks. It was still busy, but we didn't have trouble getting a table for four inside at around 5:30. It did look to be picking up a little with people having to sit outside by the time we left. I'm a huge fan of restaurants from the Chiwas group. I especially love Espiritu and Santo Arcadia (the birria dumplings are amazing!!!). I've had the burger at Espiritu, and thought it was fantastic. I kind of had the same hopes for Main Burger. There's not much to the interior. White walls and a counter to order at, some basic tables and chairs. There is a pretty cool neon piece on the wall, and a painting of the main burger man on one wall. That's just about it - - cute enough but nothing special. I'm a little surprised at some of the reviews saying it's very instagrammable. Maybe I'm missing something? We ordered the Chiwas burger and the classic burger, both with fries. I wanted to be blown away by these burgers. They were fine. They were burgers. Again I'm kind of surprised at people saying these are mind-blowing burgers. There's nothing especially fantastic. They're just burgers with various toppings. They seemed to fall someplace between fast food burgers and full-service restaurant burgers. I didn't care for the fries. By the time I got them they were room temperature and kind of chewy. Don't get me wrong, I did not dislike this place. It was fine. I just can't help but wonder if people are jumping on the bandwagon and playing into the hype because of the talent that the Chiwas group is known for. People jump on these bandwagons all the time. I think that if this place opened and did not have their names attached to it, it might go unnoticed. Again, not bad, just not as fantastic as I keep hearing about. Will I be back? Probably - - I work in downtown Mesa and there isn't another place to get a burger downtown. Would I make a special trip to come here if I weren't in the area? Nope. I'll save my special trips for their other restaurants.

Yelp
Found Main St. Burger an on IG Reel. So we decided we had to give it a try. The owner is a James Beard award winning Chef. If you're a foodie, like myself then you know! We walked in on a Sunday around 11:30. As we walked through the parking lot you could smell the deliciousness. We walked up to the counter, the cashier was nice. I ordered a Sonoran Double Combo, with a bacon wrapped hot dog. My wife got the single classic combo, with the spicy ketchup Service was fast, and the food came out and looked fantastic. The Burgers were so fresh and tasty. The Sonoran burger had a little heat, which was good. The spicy ketchup was the Bomb! The French fries are very good. Just like in & out, just a little thicker, which is a good thing. The Sonoran hot dog, was a little messy, but so flavorful. If you want a great burger, give this place a try. Definitely in my top 3 burgers in Arizona.
google avatar

Yelp
Cute, Instagramable spot! It's a solid burger. I had the Chiwas and my bf had the Sonora. The Chiwas was better in my opinion (more of a personal preference as this one has green chili which I really like). However, the Sonora was overly salty. My BF had the hotdog as well which was overly salty. The fries were made perfect though. Overall, I'd go back. The service is friendly and quick. It's worth a stop if you're in the area.

Yelp
You know those days when you want a classic, old school burger that you can't really find at big burger chains? Main Burger is the place for that. Everyone that works here has such a great attitude & the shop itself has a laid back, nostalgic feel. No overly complicated menu, options for when you want some oomf, amazing food every time.
google avatar

Noah S.

Yelp
Very very tasty burgers. I had the Chiwas(single) and the Sonora(double). Very flavorful and very juicy. The fries were good too and well seasoned. I also got the cheesecake and it was delicious. Unfortunately, it's a bit expensive. I ended up spending 40$ with tax on a double burger combo(19$), a single burger(9$), and a cheesecake(10$). While the cheesecake was good, it's not 10$ good. It was worth checking out, but there are some other good local burger places with better prices and just as tasty.
google avatar

N. D.

Yelp
Came here on a whim and I am so glad we did. The burgers were fresh with incredible flavor. You could tell the cheese sauce was made fresh and was perfect or dipping fries. I got the Chiwas burger and my husband got the Sonora. Both were cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Brandon Y.

Yelp
Went for Wing Wednesdays. The banana mole habanero wings were unreal. I also ordered their Sonora burger and it was tasty as well. Lots of outdoor seating. Prices pretty well with options for both single and double patties. Service was fast casual.
google avatar

Jenna M.

Yelp
Found a new lunch spot! The burgers are awesome and so is the Sonoran hot dog. The bread on the items is just like butter..so dang good. The fries are also great. The guy working the register was welcoming and helpful. I will be back for sure when in downtown Mesa.

Quincy S.

Yelp
So, I had the single Patty Sonora style burger. The burger itself had no real flavor not season at all. The onion bacon and sauce was the only flavor. I didn't know they cooked the cheese on the griddle not a fan of that because honestly it's just burnt cheese I know it's a fad doing the "cheese skirt" but in my opinion it's not good if you like it fine but I do not. The service was really nice let him know of my first time there he was helpful the atmosphere is nice as well. I might try it again.

Yelp
When I heard that the owners of Espiritu were opening up a burger shop, I knew we had to try it. My wife and I arrived for the soft launch, the grand opening and a few times after that. My go to is the Chiwas burger and my wife is a fan of the classic. You cannot go wrong with any of the burgers on the menu. Their burgers are very tasty and have distinct flavors from one another. They offer bottle sodas and have fountain drinks as well. I'm a big french fry guy, and if I have one complaint, it's that they only offer one size. Maybe they'll read this review and offer a larger size for the big boned customers, like me. Every time we've gone in to order, the lines are pretty long, but do not let it fool you. They move pretty fast and they have everything down to a science by now. If you're pressed for time or want a delicious burger, give Main Burger a shot. You'll be happy that you did.

Yelp
Everyone there seemed to like working there . Order was taken right away and Food came out quickly. The double burger was messy but tasted great. I had it Sonoran style. The bacon on this burger is very unique They offer spicy mayo for 50¢ and it is definitely not worth it. Not only was it not spicy it just tasted like rancid ketchup. Now having a great burger can be ruined by one thing, not great fries. The French fries were definitely not up to par. Not only were they not piping hot but most of them were little pieces less than an inch. The bad spicy ketchup may have made it even worse. Come for the burger and if they improve the fries and just get rid of the spicy ketchup this place can be a hit.

Yelp
I typically don't care for Sonoran dogs because the quality of the hot dog is really bad. I noticed that on the menu they were using all beef hot dogs so I thought I give it a try. The guy at the front counter was really excited for me as when I ordered it. The roll was super fresh, and the hot dog was snappy and juicy. It was messy but they give you a roll of paper towels.

Yelp
We drove past this burger joint a few months ago and were passing buy and decide to give them a try. There was nooooo one in there when we went in.m, but we have drove by when it's packed. I'll start by saying $19 for a double combo is a reach. We ordered 1 Sonora (they said it's the most popular) and the original. yall it's not worth it. The hamburger was buttery, it was soft and had a melting texture. Aside from that there wasn't much flavor. The fries were decent, but once they got cold it they were hard. Honestly in n out is better especially for the price. ‍ With there not being busy at all every table has crumbs and food on them. I had to clean our own table before we sat down. Customers service wasn't too welcoming or helpful. Personally there wasn't anything that left our taste buds screaming.

Yelp
Went back yesterday and tried the Sonoran double cheeseburger combo. Blew my face off. Out of this world! I'm telling you. It's so good, you'll be sad when the last bite is gone, but glad you got to experience it. I'd eat here more often if I could afford to. Good food ain't cheap! One side note. I was in there around 2 pm, after the lunch rush. And the soda station was a sticky mess. I hope these guys keep up on the house keeping.

Yelp
While they have a very limited menu of hamburgers, hot dogs and fries they do it really really well. I had a single burger and fries and it was delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly...juicy but done. The sauce, cheese and caramelized onions complimented rather than detracting from the taste of the burger. He had the double with cheese fries. The cheese sauce on the fries is a delicious blend and the smokey bacon was yummy. So, if you are looking for a great hamburger make sure to try Main Burger!

Yelp
First time here and we left pretty happy to have a great burger place in downtown Mesa. The employees were super friendly and our burgers and fries were excellent. It's also a great place to eat outside on a good night.

Yelp
Finally got to try this new burger place on a Friday night and the Chiwas Burger hit the spot! I wish I had a bigger appetite to try something else but I will be going back in the near future. I see a few post regarding the music so maybe the restaurant changed it up because I felt like the vibes were great and could enjoy my meal with the tunes being played. Staff was very polite as well when ordering and explaining the menu to us.

Yelp
I'm really happy to see some more quality food and a little revitalization going on in downtown Mesa! This place is helping to keep that momentum going. Their food tastes great and the place has an awesome aesthetic and look that I don't see much in the Valley. Not sure what the deal is, but the various times I've been here, their staff have always made the place feel unwelcoming though. Even when there's few or a handful of guests eating in here already. I guess the place is small, but it just seems like their crew has some drama going on back there or something. It's weird. I'll usually just eat on their nice patio area or take it to go. Doesn't help that they have very little place to wait around either. Maybe I'm nitpicking, but if it was a busy night, I don't know how they'd function. Their food deserves better.
