I finally got a chance to enjoy this place on the recommendation of a friend. The Friday night crowd means a packed house so we sat at the bar which was as busy as the open kitchen. I enjoyed two appetizers including the KFC (Ken's Fried Chicken), the Shrimp which were fried light and very tasty with the sauce and my main course was the Drunken Noodles with shrimp. This was the first time I have enjoyed this array of veggies in my drunken noodles as I usually have the Thai version, but I enjoyed the zucchini, bok choy, peppers and scallions and the noodles were cooked to perfection. It was very fresh and the portion size required a to-go box. The owner came out to greet us and to apologize for the back-up due to a short staff and a busy kitchen but I thought they did a great job. There customers ordering a wide variety of dishes including Ramen bowls and the house specials. I also added the Sailor Moon cocktail which was much larger than I thought it would be in the days of shrinkflation. I will definitely return to try more dishes.

This is a solid place to eat with a wide variety of Asian options. The appetizers have the largest variety and there is a happy hour from 4-7PM for drinks and wings, shrimp, and gyoza. Admittedly I wasn’t too sure about a place that had so much variety in different Asian cuisines, but I was pleasantly surprised. The Japanese ramen was a large portion with rich flavor, just make sure to mix in the mushroom reduction all the way. The pork was sweeter than I prefer but good on its own. The noodles were not my preferred style for ramen though.

The food is okay, too oily and not quite authentic. There are happy hour and daily drink specials. The atmosphere is pretty cool, fun place to hang out, but it’s quite loud.

Want some good , authentic Asian street food? Look no further than. I went here with my finance and boy the explosion of flavor was amazing. The service was great, staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I’m not a big Asian food fan but this place changed that. I can’t wait to go back. They have a great happy hour. I’m had a sailor moon drink, the apple of my eye and another drink I can’t remember the name. But go check it gem out. All together we spent less than $100 for some wings, boom boom shrimp, the 3 drinks, skewers, ginger salad (big enough to share) spicy fried rice and a Ramen bowl . What a steal !

BEST restaurant in Richmond! You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. We got the Pork Gyoza, Boom Boom Shrimp, Malaysian Style Ramen, and Drunken Noodles. Our waitress/bartender was incredibly helpful with helping us order and making amazing drinks. Great spot for a chill night out with the decor, anime playing and diverse music. Oh and fair pricing!

This is a frequent spot where my friend and I do happy hour and apps we always leave with noodles or rice dish also. LOL the atmosphere is very pleasant the drinks are great and the food is good.

The food was aight. The pricing?—It was aight. Super affordable, so you can try a variety of dishes without worrying about cost or oversized portions. Best thing on the menu?—The appetizers, hands down. Especially the full-size miso grilled squid og 🗣️🔊🔥🔥🔥‼️. Service?—Our waitress seemed new and unsure of the menu, but it was aight, she tried her best :) Portions & Flavor?—More snack-sized than full-meal, and the flavors were okay—not bad, not amazing. A jack-of-all-trades kind of place. Drinks? The Boozy Thai Tea needs some work—tasted watered down. Overall, a solid choice if you’re looking for variety on a budget.

I decided to write a review after 2 visits: the first one was take-out the second was dine-in. Both times it was pretty packed. It's not a huge place, but definitely a favorite. On the take-out visit, I ordered the Japanese Style Ramen with chasu pork and a soft boiled egg. It was delicious. I had a cold and it was exactly what I needed. On the dine-visit, they sat us at a table at the store-front. What a cute, cozy table. Of course everyone passing by saw us, but who cares. I was slurping my noodles. The waitress was phenomenal. We wanted something with curry, she recommended the Malaysian Style Ramen because it is not spicy and for my friend she suggested the Indonesian Style Ramen. In both, we added the chasu pork and egg. It was even better than the Japanese Style Ramen. It was bursting with flavors. When I say nothing was left, it is true. Overall, the employees, vibe and food there is great! Great little place to eat amazing food. There is so much more to try. Definitely coming back for more. Parking is easy and they have outdoor seating around the corner.

I placed a takeout order at 6:30 PM and arrived to pick it up around 7:00 PM after driving 20 minutes. The restaurant was very busy, and several waiters passed by without asking if I needed help. After about five minutes, I approached a waitress and asked if I could pick up my takeout order. She said yes, asked for my name, handed me the food, and did not check the order at all. When I got to my car and opened the food, the order was completely wrong. I went back inside calmly and politely asked why my order was incorrect. The employee said, "I don't know," and walked away. The manager then asked what was going on, and I explained the situation. She offered to remake the order but said it would take about 10 minutes. At that point, I asked for a refund instead, which she provided. The main point is that orders should be checked before being handed to customers, even when the restaurant is busy. Unfortunately, there was no sense of concern or accountability, which made the experience even more disappointing. I will not be returning.

A great experience for the entire table. Service was very attentive and had great recommendations. Both fried rice dishes were delicious and had enough to take home the next day. My Bao Wow appetizer and Malaysian style Ramen bowl was delicious and I would order again easily. Hope to get a chance to revisit before we leave town.

While visiting family for winter break we stopped by here for a late dinner on a cold night. Everything was amazing and fresh! The service was great and fast for a part of six people.

Main St Dragon is a pretty chill spot--definitely worth checking out if you're in the area. I ended up trying the Chinese-style noodles and a basil mojito. The noodles were decent not the most mind-blowing dish I've had flavor wise, but the portion size was solid, and they the food came out surprisingly fast, which I appreciated. The basil mojito, on the other hand, was a bit watered down. It was happy hour at the time so not a dealbreaker for me, but it definitely lacked the punch I was hoping for after work. One thing I'd recommend to the team is updating the menus. I noticed a few seasonal items still listed from previous holidays (and it's well past that now) That said, there's still a lot on the menu Im looking to try, so I'm definitely planning on giving it another go. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up next time.

Super good, definitely reminds me of the previous spot that was at this location so that is a plus as that was one of my favs!

I got the drunken noodle ($12) with chasu pork(+$4) off their special menu. Food came out very quick, around 10 minutes. The noodles however were very bland noodles, the sauce was very watery with no flavor. The chasu Pork was very dry and lacked flavor and felt very skimped out on. The staff and service were ok. This had to be a very off night due to the very small crowd of three other patrons in the restaurant, but by far the worst experience I've had here. I have no idea how the overall food quality just went to completely down hill since the last time I was here. Will definitely be sticking to straight ramen dishes if I come back. Food(50%): 3.5 Staff/service(25%): 6.0 Value(25%): 4.0 Overall: 4.2/10

I came here on a rainy evening and was able to get a spot at the bar. It was busy but not 100% full on a Thursday evening (after regular dinner hours). The bartender was really friendly. I got the Malaysian style ramen and edamame. The ramen was delish + very filling. I was hungry so I ate the whole thing. Edamame was nothing special - I'd probably skip next time. It looked liked they had daily happy hour deals, as well. I liked the comics under the glass at the bar. I don't live in Richmond but it's a place I will come back to when I visit again!

Great food and service. We love coming here for happy hour. The appetizers are our favorites but everything we've tried on the menu is delicious.

I wanted to try Bun Bun for the first time so I stopped in to grab take out and ate there instead. I love that you can see the chefs cooking, the bar was fully stocked and ready to serve. Best bartender ever and the cocktails pair perfectly with the food. Beautiful spacious restaurant, lovely staff and the food was affordable.

Absolutely fantastic pan-Asian food: Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai. Can't wait to go back. Fun, easy interior. No posturing or over the top furniture -just quick delicious food

Great happy hour from 4-7! We order two large hot sakes, vegetable gyoza, pork gyoza and the boom boom shrimp for about $30. The gyoza were really delicious, perfectly pan seared and flavorful. The space is small but plenty of seating and I loved the outdoor patio space. The menu had a lot of ramens I'm interested in trying when it's no longer 90 degrees outside.

I've been wanting to try Main Street Dragon and was pretty let down by the food. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing, I've never had a bad Thai basil dish elsewhere but this was soaking in a very greasy sauce and made my stomach hurt. It also didn't have the heat I'm used to for Thai basil. The cream cheese crab Rangoon's tasted way too sweet and I couldn't taste even a hint of crab in them. Hopefully it was just a bad day or I ordered the wrong items.

I love the new owners. I also like that they reduced the prices. The food is quite tasty and exactly what you need on the night to warm you up. They have yummy bar list with interesting beers and cocktails. They were very nice happy hour that is I think every night.

KimChi Soba Noodles Not care for the purple noodle in this soup. What's confusing was why our order bag labed as "Lucky Chopsticks"? Prok broth , Home-made kimchi , green onions , bamboo shoot , fresh seaweed , bean sprouts , shallot sauce and pickles ginger Japanese Fried Rice Onion, red shallot, carrot & egg was delicious! We oredered other dishes as well just to try it out.

One of the kids was having a craving for ramen so we decided to pop in to this new cool eatery on Main Street. Plenty of seating. Hostess at the door to greet us immediately. We had menus, drinks, and put in orders for street food appetizers within minutes. Really cool lighted bar with counter seating. Big tv screens showing the always entertaining game show network as well as the current college basketball game. Very hip atmosphere. Big anime dragons painted on the walls. The pork fried dumplings were delicious. Not sure how different they would have been from the gyoza. The Japanese Style ramen was definitely fusion. It wasn't truly Japanese, but had a hint of five spice in it, giving a more Chinese twist on the broth. So much of a fusion twist that my daughter was not able to add it to her ramen ranking scale. The Japanese fried rice was good too. I enjoyed my Singapore curry noodles, but it definitely could have used a hint more curry. The Indonesian ramen was great. Had a nice hit of chili that burned at the base of your throat. Nice addition to the neighborhood.

Such a great experience, thank you!! Although we arrived within 20 mins of closing on Sunday night, we still received friendly and speedy service. The Ramen soup and Chinese noodles were authentic and delicious!! Our server, Charlotte, was cheerful and welcoming. We will be back

We were staying in the area and decided to walk over for dinner. A great/cozy location. Service was quick and made sure we had everything we needed. We had a couple of different noodle dishes and a couple drinks. The food was delicious and the full bar had a good beer/wine selection.

I can't believe I've never left a review here. From Foo Dog to Main St Dragon this is a staple for my partner and I when we're in the mood for some comfort fusion food. Love that some of the menu items from Foo Dog transferred to Main St Dragon, in addition to some new menu items! They have a variety of cocktails/beer options along with sake. The miso grilled squid is our favorite app. The whole squid is grilled to perfection and covered in a sweet chili sauce. You can't go wrong with any of their noodle dishes but my go to is the Malaysian style ramen. It is incredible. The broth is creamy and savory with noodles cooked perfectly. I would avoid adding any meat/tofu except for the soft boiled egg. The meats are usually a little over cooked and tough but the eggs are muwah *chefs kiss* honorable mentions: Chinese style ramen, pad Thai, Chef Ken's chicken. The inside is cute and quirky, with a little anime vibe. I love their big booths and tables in the front windows. They have an heated outdoor seating area that is dog friendly. There is always plenty of street parking in the area

It was okay! I'm a big Asian food fan and have tried lots of amazing authentic places in the area, and this one just didn't wow me. It wasn't bad, but there were lots of little things that caused them to loose points with me. Let's start with the high notes. Their service was impeccable. The employees were friendly, helpful, and we got our food pretty fast. The atmosphere is fun and funky. Bright and colorful. And now the low notes. The food was not very impressive. It definitely wasn't bad! But, there were little things that didn't work for me. Like the sauce for the Thai basil fried rice was a bit off. The vegetables were in overly large pieces. And there was no hot sauce, or other sauces on the table. Reading other reviews it looks like their ramen is where they're strongest, if I go back I'll try that next time! Overall I give it a 5/10

If your looking for some delicious food and drinks, this cozy restaurant is for you! The service here was amazing, despite them being extremely busy on a Saturday night. Our waitress was quick to getting us our drinks and putting in our food orders. The atmosphere here is fun with a full bar and football games on, also ample seating so expect it to be a little noisy. The food we got was amazing. I don't even like shrimp but the appetizer was delicious! The gyoza was perfect and the bao buns too. We ordered ramen and I loved the kimchi noodle option. Added soft boiled egg and pork. The pork was so flavorful so definitely worth adding on! Highly recommend if you love Asian fusion!

This place and menu are very reminiscent of an establishment that was my ONLY go-to for ramen. I will say this is definitely number one. I have ordered delivery and pick up from here and the portions and quality are the same..... great. I always order the Chinese Ramen with shrimp. It is delicious. I am not a fan of a soupy broth , so this dish is perfect for me snd plentiful. I appreciate that they accommodate my modifications without issue and it always comes out correct. The staff is always nice and welcoming. Inside is small, but it's nice. It can be loud when the seating is abundant with customers. That is why I choose to order as takeout or delivery. Her, I have not known anyone whom I referred here to be disappointed. I also enjoy the shrimp, calamari, and KFC appetizers. I'm DEFINITELY going to order from this establishment soon. VERY soon.

I visited Main Street dragon on a Friday night after a day full of errands and was HUNGRY! I appreciate the full menu being available even at 9:30-10 pm! I ordered the fried oysters which were spring special menu item, chicken dumplings, and shrimp skewers! The oysters were just ok. Too much breading for me. The real stars were the dumplings and skewers. Since it was my first time, I wanted to try a few appetizers my partner ordered the KFC chicken which was a little bland according to him but a huge portion! Over all I think all the food we had cost under $50 and were great portions. They have happy hour daily so I'll certainly be back to try a few cocktails.

Yesterday's impromptu stop at Main St. Dragon may have resulted in a new favorite happy hour destination. I was not expecting to get two craft beers, an order of gyoza, and an order of bang bang shrimp for less than what I normally pay for two drinks nearly anywhere else. Everything we tried was delicious and at least a 4/5, but the star of the show was my entree, the stir-fry udon with shrimp. Our server was friendly, speedy, and attentive, and each of our food items came out less than 10 minutes after ordering. Perks of going on Friday at 6! Bang Bang Shrimp - - Very tasty, but the fried flavor is almost more present than the shrimp flavor. Was also expecting a bit more of a kick for bang bang shrimp! Pork gyoza - ¼ - Delicious! Very classic gyoza taste, especially paired with the sauce. What I would expect every time I order pork gyoza. Stir Fry Udon w/ shrimp - 1/2 - With some chili oil (available upon request) added, this dish was spectacular! I finished my whole portion that night! My only complaint is the $4 charge to add shrimp only adds 4 shrimp to your plate. Will be returning!

Was in the area for a quick visit and after walking around a bit, I stumbled across this cute little restaurant! As soon as you approach the door you are taken in by the signage and entrance. This location has both booths and high-top tables. There are gender-neutral restrooms in the rear and the bar has a good amount of seats as well. I dropped in for a quick carry-out dinner. After chatting with the bartender about all of her recommendations (the entire menu) !! So I figured this could either be a very great or otherwise not so great experience equally. I paused before deciding on a side of fried rice and shrimp. The food was still hot after sitting several minutes before I dived in. I was skeptical of the fried rice by appearance but when I took the first bite, I hurried to take a picture because I wanted to finish every spoonful in that instance. Seriously tasty! The Shazam shrimp were perfectly fried, almost funnel cake-like in flavor. I was sad to see this meal come to an end, but enjoyed every bite!!! Trying these dishes over the ramen didn't make me sad, I look forward to dining in & tasting more dishes on future trips to the city! Also, if you're a fan of anime, you might catch one of their large TVs displaying one of your favorites while you enjoy your ramen or other dishes. Cool sketches are atop the bar as well!

This place has yet to miss a beat!! Service on point, drinks on point and food is banging!!! They are always busy but we were able to snag a seat as soon as we walked in!! Love the spooky season deco!!! Nice neighborhood vibe.

This is lowkey my favorite restaurant in Richmond. I just love the variety of dishes they offer, and they deliver the flavors beautifully. I'm obsessed with the Malaysian Style Ramen which is a rendition of laksa (though not spicy). I also had the peppercorn calamari as an appetizer which I can't recommend enough; I loved how lightly crispy the outside was. If they had more convenient parking options, my wallet would be doomed.

Took a while to get 2 draft beers (only reason I took a star away) but once we ordered our food it came out in like 3 mins! Their ramen / broth is so good. We will be back! And def will order to-go. Noticed a lot of orders near the door so I'm glad they're getting good business.

I think I've found my new favorite happy hour spot! Everything about this place is good! The food, the staff, the drinks, the atmosphere! Everyone was so polite and friendly. We sat at the bar and enjoyed the football game. I ordered wings and a chicken dish (forgot the name). Everything was fresh and hot, and it came out in a reasonable time. The menu has some really good items on it, I can't wait to try more things.

Good food, good service, and good ambiance. I've been to this place twice now & I can say that it is now one of my favorite ramen places. I get the Malaysian style ramen, the lemongrass & ginger taste is so refreshing. I think it lists a pepper beside it listed on the menu but I actually asked for a recommendation for a bit more spice & the manager suggested chili crunch oil & it was perfect! They have karaoke at this location, super fun. The cocktails are also good, I suggest the drink with the apple & jack Daniels (can't remember the name).

I tried Main St. Dragon last night for the first time since they switched owners. The inside looked the same as before. For appetizers we ordered the edamame, bao wow buns and chicken wings with Korean BBQ sauce. All three of the appetizers were great! For entrees we got the Malaysian ramen bowl and the Singapore curry rice noodles. The ramen bowl was good but the curry rice noodles was definitely lacking in some sort of spice or salt. It just tasted like curry and that was it. I also ordered hot sake! Overall, I would definitely come back and try the other items.

Madelyn needs some management training. I called to make sure I could switch out the ramen noodles for rice noodles on my DoorDash order because I have celiac and the rice noodles are gluten free. There is no place to switch the noodles on their profile so I called to ask them to do it. They took my name and said no problem. I placed my DoorDash order and they called me back to say they can't switch it out because it's a $2 upcharge. I paid for an egg ($1.50) so I said what if you don't give me the egg (so now we are talking a .50 difference) and they said no. Are you kidding me? It was your mistake to begin with telling me I could switch them out. You want to lose a customer over .50?! No problem.

A bit more middle house than traditional American style Chinese restaurant. Food and service was good. Prices are also reasonable

Ambiance of this place is so lively! The waiter made ordering so easy with his recommendations! The food was perfectly cooked! The Pad Thai was my kiddos favorite. The Spicy Bangkok Ramen was my husband and Is' favorite!! The Chicken was everyone's favorite! Back story we are roadtripping all the way from California and we NEVER thought we'd find something better than what we've eaten out here! We were mistaken. We WILL be returning!

Got to give Main St. Dragon a try for the first time while grabbing dinner with friends. It seemed like a fairly popular spot given that the restaurant was quite full when we arrived, but luckily we were able to be seated quickly. We ordered a good amount of items off their menu and they were all pretty good! My favorite dish, however, was definitely the Chinese Style Noodles! I added Chasu Pork as a protein and it was a really great complement to the noodles and I really liked the sauce that the dish is cooked in. They also offer a good selection of beer and cocktails so this is a pretty good spot to grab food or drinks and hang out, and I'll be back when I get the chance! Overall, a nice spot to go for Asian fusion and drinks!

this is my go to! they have amazing drinks and daily drink specials. their food is very delicious, and i love that they've added more options since becoming Main St. Dragon. their service is quick and attentive. the employees are all very kind. my only critique is that they should decide how to portray themselves better. it seems that they try to appeal themselves to college students while also being family friendly, which can be a bit of disturbance. fridays and saturdays are their karaoke nights so beware that it gets loud and maybe dont eat out with family on those days. other than that i definitely recommend!

I'm always excited about new places in Richmond that offer ramen so I was intrigued when I saw ramen on the menu. I got the Malaysian ramen with tofu and a boiled egg. Portions were great and filling, I just wish the ramen had a little more flavor. They have have noodle and rice options on the menu. I'd return to try their other dishes. They also have happy hour deals everyday. We went on a Saturday night right before dinner rush and the service was quick but once the restaurant was full, the service slowed down and the restaurant got very loud. Overall, it was a good experience.

Main St. Dragon recently took the place of 'Foo Dog' which was a highly popular Asian fusion restaurant in the Richmond area. This did not disappoint for the most part and I was pleased that another Asian cuisine restaurant took its place. They offer many dishes as well as some variety of ramen dishes. They do have a happy hour "every day" from 4-7PM (including weekends). The ramen although not the best that I've had, didn't disappoint for the most part but lacked some flavor. The service was really quick upon arriving however once they started to fill up, the service became slower and some parties waited awhile to be seated upon walking in (some people turned around and left due to this). With crowds starting to pile in, the restaurant became loud and noisy and for some, it could be hard to have conversations depending on your party/situation. Excited to see where MSD goes and I feel like they will improve. Will be back! Mellow Heat but Charming Eats at Main Street Dragon My recent culinary jaunt took me to Main Street Dragon, an eatery promising an Asian fusion adventure with a menu as fiery as a dragon's breath. With a vibrant menu in hand, the anticipation for a tantalizing taste experience was quite high. The Malaysian Ramen was the centerpiece of our meal, a dish that's usually a tempest of spices and flavors. Although it was plated with an artist's touch, the heat that one anticipates from such a revered dish was notably absent. It lingered in the "just okay" territory, satisfying but lacking the punch your taste buds might gear up for in a traditional Malaysian kitchen. The bao wow--aptly named for what should be a reaction to their two pork belly bao sliders--echoed the same sentiment. While the pork belly was tender, and the bao fluffy, they too were shy on the radiating warmth that the name might suggest, carrying the flavors well but missing the depth that heat often contributes. Ken's fried chicken and the house special scallion chicken were the next contenders. Named presumably after the culinary architect Chef Ken, the fried chicken had a crispy exterior that gave way to the moist meat within. However, it seemed the kitchen's thermostat was set to a low simmer, as this dish, alongside the scallion chicken, arrived at our table with a tepid temperature that left us wishing for a bit more sizzle. However, these lukewarm experiences were balanced by the vibrant atmosphere of Main Street Dragon. Warm hues and cleverly placed decor invited a comfort that mimicked a jovial family dinner. There's a certain zest to the place that seems to assure you that it's not just about the food--it's about the feeling of togetherness and revelry. To add to the ambiance, the staff at Main Street Dragon were the unsung heroes of our visit. Their excellent service, marked by attentive care and genuinely cheerful interactions, made the dining experience notably more enjoyable. It's not every day you find service that complements the dining experience so well that you're willing to overlook culinary shortcomings. In sum, Main Street Dragon makes for a pleasant visit if you're in the mood for Asian fusion cuisine that's gentle on the palate, served in an atmosphere that's cozy and inviting, and delivered with top-notch service that leaves a lasting impression. While I would have appreciated a few more degrees of heat on the plate, the warmth of the environment and staff ensured we left with content smiles and a plan to return, hoping perhaps the dragon might breathe a little more fire on our next visit.

In Richmond for a few days visiting my grandson. My airbnb is within a 1/2 mile of this restaurant. Looked at the Yelp reviews and decided this was where I wanted to eat as I had been craving some good Asian food. Arrived just at opening was seated promptly. Cute place very nicely decorated. My waiter. Holt came over and I asked him to recommend a wine recommended substance Chardonnay. It is absolutely delicious crisp, dry and smooth. It is out of Washington State. I will definitely be looking for this They recommended it chef Ken's house entrerd scalion chicken. It was lightly fried chicken marinated and served in a bit tangy sauce bell peppers and some red chili's but definitely not hot. The rice was served and it was cooked to perfection very flavourful brown rice. The manager. Paul came to check on me and we had a delightful conversation about food and travel. They Have only been open about 2 months and I do believe they will be a huge success If they continue to put the care into the food preparation and treat their customers with the warmth and excellent service i received. My favorite ramen spot. Staff is always friendly with good recommendations for anyone who doesn't know what they'd like. Food is always flavorful with a very welcoming and relaxed environment.

Came with some friends to eat a late dinner. Really enjoyed the Bao Wow! The wings and grilled satay skewers were pretty good. The KimChi Soba noodles weren't my favorite as the blend of flavors weren't exactly fitting to my taste. Service was great and attentive! Overall, this is a good place to get drinks and variety of Asian flavored food with friends!

Very nice service, waitress was very helpful. Nice ambiance some wall arts are creative and familiar such as dragon ball, monkey king etc... we ordered some street food , fried rice and ramen only got a chance took some photos of street food. Ramen and rice were delicious didn't got a chance to take photos lol. Grilled squid and sweet sour fish were awesome. Bao wow taste great, kinda traditional bao which is nice
